Wont upload new songs

My itunes won't upload my new songs onto my ipod.
They show up on the library, but when I sync my songs they don't come up on my ipod.

Did you have any luck with this? I'm having the identical problem. I can upload podcasts to the iPod but not my new music. I recently moved to a new computer. Not sure if that has anything to do with it but I still have music that was in the library from the old computer but new songs won't upload. I'd appreciate it if you could email me if you find a fix. Thanks.

  • ITunes wont upload new songs

My iTunes will happily upload new CDs onto my library but when I try to load them onto my iPod displays the message:
"Some of the songs on the iTunes music library, including the song "Maps", were not copied to the iPod because they cannot be played on this iPod."
I have only used 5.98 GB of storage so I know I have room for the new songs. Can anyone help me out? Thanks

    hiya!
... then you're the second person i've seen mention that song name ("Maps") in precisely this context recently. are we talking the Yeah Yeah Yeahs song here?
let's try an experiment. try reimporting the songs from that CD. this time, make sure that error correction is switched off in your importing preferences tab.
does that new copy of the track transfer to the ipod?

  • My ipod 4th gen gets wiped clean of music anytime I sync. it then only redownloads some of the music in the library and wont upload missing songs.  They show on the ipod grayed out. How do I get this to stop? re-uploading takes 4 hours.

my ipod 4th gen gets wiped clean of music anytime I sync. it then only redownloads some of the music in the library and wont upload missing songs.  They show on the ipod grayed out. How do I get this to stop? re-uploading takes 4 hours and is never completed.  I only get some of the 6000+ songs I have. This started when I updated to IOS5 i think.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • How come my ipod wont sync new songs?

my ipod touch wont sync new songs but they appare on itunes when its connected but when i disconect it there not there can some one help me?

Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
Do you have any Restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions) set that would prevent syncing those songs?

  • 2gig Ipod won't upload new songs

Accidentally washed Nano the other day. Everything works besides Syncing and Uploading new songs. Any ideas would help. Computer/Itunes won't recognize Nano during initial startup. Itunes works 100%.

How long did you let it dry? If it wasn't 5-7 days it still may have some moisture in it and if you attempted to charge it there may have been some battery/logic board damage.

    Your post isn't clear.
What does "i reset my account" mean? What account?
"couldn't retrieve it". What is "it"?
What method are you using to transfer songs to the iPod, and what happens when you try?
The more info you give, the better we can help.

  • Cant upload new songs in iTunes from new computer onto iPhone 3gs

How do I upload new songs in my new iTunes from my mac to my iphone 3gs WITHOUT deleting or replacing all the old songs? My old computer crashed and I have no way of accessing those old songs but I dont want to loose all 509 songs. some were burnt from CDs i no longer have some were purchased through iTunes etc...help please! i really like my old music and just want to update it.

By 'rebooted' do you mean that you only rebooted it, or that you reinstalled its software ?
If rebooted then aare the songs still on your computer, just not in iTunes - by default your iTunes library is stored under :
    Mac OS X: /Users/username/Music
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\
    Windows Vista: \Users\username\Music\iTunes
    Windows 7 and Windows 8: \Users\username\My Music\iTunes
If it's there then File > Add To Library in iTunes should let you add it back.
If not then you should be able to copy iTunes purchases (including apps, films etc) back from your phone via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases.
For non-iTunes purchases (and for purchases if need be) there are some programs listed half-way down this page which can copy them back : Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device
Then add them to iTunes via File > Add To Library
If iTunes thinks that you are trying to sync the phone to a new computer : Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive

  • How to upload new songs while not wanting to synchronise?!?!! help!!!

i have an iPhone 3G and have had it for a little while now. I used to have a pc and uploaded songs from my pc to my iPhone. Now i changed from that PC to a laptop and just downloaded a new iTunes because i want to add some new songs. iTunes asks to synchronise my iPhone, which means (as far as i know) delete all the songs already on the iPhone and put the ones on the iPhone which you have in iTunes. I do want to keep the songs i already have on my iPhone but i also want new songs!! Any ideas of how i can put new songs from my laptop to my iPhone without synchronising????????!!!
help would be appreciated since it's kind of starting to annoy me now..
    thanks already

I have the same problem. I purchased a new computer apple gives u this thing where it can authorize the computer but wont allow you to use the music from your itunes #1 to put on itunes#2. I contacted apple support and was informed that it could be done yet he couldnt tell me b/c it wasnt supported by apple. He said it was via some third party company that it could be done and told me to come to this forum in hopes someone posted it. He also told me to try and google the answer and one final and last resort was to export the music from itunes #1 and place on a disk and upload that music to itune#2. Oh well not gonna work for me for my hard drive to itunes#1 is 300 miles away.
It's kinda strange that there was a situation where we could have put all this music on itunes#1 with the same phone not be able to be loaded onto a nother comupter what a waste!!!

So, you subscribe to the iTunes Match service, correct?
Songs that you sync to your iPod need to be stored locally, on your computer's drive.  Songs that are only stored in iCloud cannot sync to iPods, because they are accessed by streaming.
If you currently have the iPod set up to Manually manage music, the song library on the iPod is independent from your computer's iTunes library.  The existing songs on the iPod are fine (as long as you don't need to do a Restore on the iPod at some point).  The only question is how to load the new songs to the iPod.
You can do so by downloading only the new songs from iCloud.  Show your iTunes music library as a list in iTunes.  Select those new songs on the list.  Right click on the selection and choose Download.  The selected song or songs are downloaded from iCloud and stored locally on your computer's drive.
You can then load those songs to your iPod.  After loading, if you no longer want those song files to be stored locally, you can delete them from the list.  As long as you don't choose to Also delete this item from iCloud, the songs will remain on your iTunes music library list.

  • Can't upload new songs

Whenever I attempt to update my iTunes Match, I get the following message:
New songs could not be uploaded.
iCloud can contain up to 25000 songs not purchased from the iTunes Store. Recent additions to this computer exceed that limit, and will not be uploaded.
My iTunes library does indeed exceed 25,000 songs: it currently stands at 25,012. However, my understanding is that iTunes Match does not count any songs purchased from the iTunes Store in this total - and I have 466 songs in Purchased. That means, by my reckoning, I should be able to add another 454 songs from non-iTunes Store sources (CDs, Amazon, etc).
When I first encountered this problem a few weeks' ago, I deleted a number of songs from my Library and was at one point below 25,000 songs. But whenever I tried to update iTunes Match, I had the same message.
I've done all the usual things - rebooted machine, restarted iTunes, etc - but to no avail.
Can anyone help or suggest any fixes?
    Many thanks

    Hi,
    I had a similar problem.
I had to sign out of match and when I signed back in I Go the exceeded limit.
I took drastic action and deleted several thousand track. I created a second blank library and then deleted the tracks from the cloud. By doing it this way, the tracks remain in my original library and keep all relevant metadata, play counts etc. the iCloud status for those tracks are "removed" and are ignored for the purposes of match.
I ran match successfully but I discovered that match had duplicated around 1500 tracks, the download cloud symbol was shown against the duplicates. This extra 1500 now explained the reason for exceeding limit.
I deleted the duplicates and readded the removed tracks. Match remembers that the tracks were previously matched or uploaded, so the process to readd was very quick.

  • IPOD wont see new song in my libarary

I bought a new computer transfered my files to the new computer and authorized it..it sees my libraray and syncs my ipod but i purchased a new song it is in my library but wont download to my ipod can you help?

The update is on www.apple.com/support/downloads/ and is there at the top of the page - download the whole lot and it will sort out what you need automatically. The reseting bit is under the 'support' tab on the apple home page - or look at your user manual. Involves pressing menu and play buttons at the same time till the apple appears.
    Good luck!
