Photoshop elements 6 menu bar

how do i get the left side of my menu bar in photoshop elements 6, to show the edit, file, view, find, window and help buttons. Only the camera and little house show up. The only thing that shows is a tiny arrow which is barely visible. All was okay the first time I installed to another computer (which has since crashed). The reinstalling of photoshop the second time is causing the above problem.

If your on a windows system and talking about the menus in the organizer, then you probably need to set the dpi scaling as per the the instructions here: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/menus-missing-elements-8- 9.html

How do you auto hide the finder menu bar

Prior to Mavericks, I could auto hide the finder menu bar by inserting:
<key>LSUIPresentationMode</key>
<integer>4</integer>
in the finder info.plist after accessing core services/finderapp/contents/resources, but now in the Mavericks OSX, I receive the following error message:
"Finder Quit Unexpectantly" and a list of various reasons; codes; etc too long to list here. Is auto hiding the finder menu bar even doable anymore in this operating system, and if so what is the solution?

How do you reverse that process? I was trying it with various apps, substituting the app name in the terminal command and it worked great until I got to the "Notes" app. I think it messed up how notes synced with iCloud.

Unable to click elements in menu bar when toggling (with alt) from hidden state

I've put few elements in normally hidden menu bar, like "RSS icon" or "Downloaded files icon". After showing menu bar they look properly (e.g. icons highlight on mouse over), but won't execute action - menu bar will hide upon click on them.
I've also put search bar there, selecting items from it works properly, after opening select search engine all other elements start to work, yet, after executing an action menu bar won't hide again until some menu is opened and closed. At the moment I'm using FF 5.0, but problem exists in 6.0 as well

Elements 10 Menu Bar on image

In Elements 10 when you open a picture only the X for close appears on the menu bar. How can you restore the normal menu bar choices
the minimize - and full screen double box choices?

Go to:
Edit >> Preferences >> General
Choose allow floating documents in full edit mode, then click OK.

Photoshop Elements 8 - Menu bar Display

I'm on Elements 8 and the menu bar at the top (File, Edit, Find, etc)is now a dropdown menu. Is there a way to have it display horizontally like it previously did?

Elements 9 menu bar

I cannot see the menu bar in the elements 9 organizer. The double arrow is visible when the cursor is over it but all attempts to make "file edit...." show up have not been successful. Any suggestions?

Hide Navigation and Menu bars when playing Captivate HTML

This is probably a beginner question, but what can you do to have your Captivate output play in a browser window that has the menu and navigation bars hidden? We want users to have the course play in a window that only displays the captivate SWF with the internal menu controls. As part of this we'd like to have the window open to the exact size of the SWF file.
If anyone can help with this, I would appreciate it.

I've seen JavaScripts that allow sizing and placing a window, but if you wish to remove the chrome elements such as the Menu bar, Toolbars and such there is no way to do that from inside the window you are in. It has to be scripted when creating a new window.
It's a browser security thing. If you could turn these features off from inside the browser you are in, folks that wanted to have their way with your internet experience could trap you in a site and not allow a means of escape!

The top part of a Safari window is hid by OSX menu bar

I have an application that runs in a browser window. When this particular app is running in
Safari the top of the browser window is hid by OSX 10.4.1 menu bar; so I cannot move the browser window, also under the Safari/View menu all items are grayed out except text encoding. All other Safari windows work okay.
Any suggestions?

Check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. If you have any installed, turn that off, then relaunch Safari.
If it's not Extensions, then follow the instructions here for troubleshooting third party Safari add ons that may be preventing the page to render correctly.

And from the menu bar click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 7 buttons, click Reset.

the menu bar on the top of the organizer is compressed into a bar and i cant figure out how to expand it

There is usually a right pointing arrow to click when the tool bar is not complete on short displays for laptops and notebooks. Its also worth checking if you have the optimal settings.
Go to the control panel and check dpi scaling under Appearance or Display.
It's not uncommon to see a setting of 125% or higher to improve screen readability but PSE requires a dpi of 96 or 100% Whilst the Editor Menu will appear at 120% to 149% the Organizer Menu (and the advanced button in downloader) won’t. Sometimes the mouse or tool cursors are distorted.
Try a setting of 115% or 116% otherwise 100%. A common display resolution, notably for notebooks/laptops, and netbooks is 1024 x 768 but PSE requires a screen height of 800 for full functionality. If your height resolution is out of the range 768 to 800 try experimenting with the slider.

Hide transastion from Menu Bar

Dear Team,
I have create a role for one of my users. This User ID is sharing due to License shortage.
If I add any Transastion in his role . Its show in his Menu Bar.
I want If I add any transastion in this role . It should not appear in his Menu bar.
So that other users not able see to execute all transastion that are showing in Menu bar.

The users are posting from Excel... so can I assume it is a CPIC login with saved login data?
Also see how many time transastion run in a day => Darn, you don't know who is posting and which transactions are used...
The solution in my opinion is an Enterprise License (negotiable), or perhaps a more suitable software (BusinessOne, etc?)

Asian words poping up on the Menu Bar and Tabs on Firefox Why?

Yes this has been happening to me only on Firefox. I have used Malwarebytes Anti-malware(it stops a lot this software) to protect from this. But it is still occurring! I have McAfee as my principle anti-virus and us also a very good malware called Trojan Killer this operates in the background like Malwarebytes Anti-malware. And monthly or bi-weekly I download the new version of Adwcleaner which cleans crap out of everything, registry, malware ads, popup ads etc. So why this is happening with the Asian Lettering is baffling it is on Windows 7 as my OS. It is also annoying too you can not tell what the tabs are on the menu of Firefox, the Asian words cover or distort the screen!!!!
If I rebot the computer it will be gone for a couple of hours and then slowly come back on Firefox's tabs!
Any Ideas?????

I use Outlook Webmail, office 365 for two mailboxes. In one when I send an email it hides the top menu bar where you click send etc, meaning I cannot send email

This works fine in the first of two inboxes I use. But in the second it does not. There should be no difference between the two as both are the same mailbox essentially (Microsoft Outlook 365).
It happened on both my home firefox and office firefox. It works fine in Chrome.

My organization is experiencing the same issue.
Specifically, the missing Send Button Tool bar. I can share what we have found in our troubleshooting.
The issue appears to be related to how the page information (specifically the Send Tool bar) is cached in FireFox.
For example, if you follow the work-around described of using the F11 function key to take the browser window full-screen, the Send Tool bar appears. If you then sign-out while still in full screen, the tool bar info is cached – and on each subsequent launching of OWA, the Tool bar will show up; even if you resize the window to anything other than full screen or maximized. That is, once you successfully get the Tool bar – it stays working on subsequent sign on.
At that point, the tool bar will continue to show up until the FireFox cache is next cleared. For example, if you sign out, then clear the cache – the problem will return on your next sign in. Apparently, a reboot will also clear the cache in some cases, again returning the issue at next sign on.
We are also seeing what appears to be a memory leak. For example, if you look at the amount of memory in use by firefox when everything is working correctly (with the tool bar) – we see RAM allocation of around 200Mb. But if you are experiencing the missing tool bar – we see RAM allocation to firefox grow continually; even to the point of 1+GB. At that level, we have seen the app hang the OS on our XP machines with small on board RAM.
I have also confirmed that the version of FireFox does not seem to matter. I can reproduce the issue in v17.x and v24.x.
Lastly, we have been using FireFox to access OWA/Office365 for a couple of months now. This issue just presented itself in the last few days – aprox 09/15/2013 or so.
I don’t have a solution. Just wanted to share what we have found.

How to hide the default windows inherit menu bar

I am using oracle Application server 10g with windows server 2003. with oracle 11g database.
When ever I am accessing the application from client machine through browser i am getting the windows inherit menu bar at the top of the working space of the form.
I want to hide that default menu bar from viewing the application users.
Please help.

Hide the Acrobat Reader Menu Bar

For my Livecycle Designer ES document, I only want the Acrobat Reader end users to use my buttons (SAVE, PRINT, EXIT) rather than the Acrobat Reader Menu Bar to access the same functions. My buttons contain various java scripts that are necessary for form completion. If they bypass these buttons using the Acrobat Reader Menu Bar (example: File, Print), then the form will not capture the data properly.
Is there a way to hide the Acrobat Reader Menu bar for my specific form through a built in function in Livecycle ES or is there a java script that can be used to hide the Reader Menu Bar?

Hi Eric,
I am fairly sure that you cannot access the presence of the Menu Bar. I have tried here but can't get it to work.
An alternative would be to open the form full screen. When you do this the cursor changes into a click advance (to next page), but you can also turn this off.

I appreciate that the user can elect not to go into full screen or can escape out of it, but it is a rough workaround.
The following in the docReady event should work:
