Word 2004 won't print individual or last pages

When printing a document in Word, the programme has just started missing the last page of docs with 2 or more pages, and won't print any single page documents. Even double sided with an even number of pages it misses the last page on the back of the second last.
It says it is going to the printer, and the printer detects some data coming in, but then prints nothing. My work around is putting a blank page at the end of each doc, but this is annoying and cumbersome.
This has only just started happening. Having searched for answers here and other forums, I couldn't find a solution.
Have tried taking off collation, printing only page ranges, current page, and have looked in all the settings to no avail. This happens with both Kyocera printers (one is new, the other did not have this problem before, and all other appications work fine, making me think it is the application)
Has anyone encountered this problem before?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks from Downunder,
Chris

Hi Chris -
The first things to be sure of are a) that you have the most current updates for the version of Word you are using, and b) that you have the latest print driver available.
If you have recently updated Word/Office and-or OS X, you may need to reinstall the printer driver even if it is current.

    Dear Raghu,
    If you would like to print certain fields on the last page only,
    'TotalPages()' cannot be used in formula, therefore, please follow the
    Workaround below.
    As a Workaround create the following field:
       Field_Formula
       General Tab
       Untick visible
       Left = 0 / Width = 0 / Top = 0 / Height = 0
       Content Tab
       Source Type: Formula
       SystemString(ContinueNextPageNotice) ==''
    And enter the ID of this field as the "Link to" for the Fields you
    like to print on the last page only.
    For more information please refer to the NOTE 1058584.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to print in the last page of the script..?

    Hi,
    I am working on a script. I have a header window and one main window. In the main window, I am printing the line items of the Invoice. Once the line items finish, I have to print the sub totals there. and also to print the company agreement details(around 10 lines of text) in the last page of the script.
    So, <b>how to print the agreement details in the last page of the script..?</b>
    Can anyone provide me a sample code to find the last page of the Script layout..?
    And regarding writing the agreement details, is it better to hard code the text or use the standard texts..? which one is better..?
    Regards,
    Paddu.

    HI,
      Just create a Standard text, if you are going to use this standard text in other layouts also... and use it otherwise you can hard code it as this its of only 10 lines.
    declare one more element in the  main window itselft and call it atlast it would print in the last page..
    CALL FUNCTION 'WRITE_FORM'
    EXPORTING
    ELEMENT = 'FOOTER'<b><- This element should contain the agreement details</b>
    FUNCTION = 'SET'
    TYPE = 'BODY'
    WINDOW = 'MAIN'
    EXCEPTIONS
    ELEMENT = 1.

  • HP Officejet Pro L7780 won't print individual pages of a file

    I have a HP Officejet Pro L7780 setup with wireless printing on my network and am using Windows 7 on a 64-bit computer with MSWord 2007. I'm trying to duplex print just specific corrected pages (like pages 7-8) from a file (of pages 1-22) and my printer just won't do it. When I select to print specific pages, the printer just sits there and then the print queue is apparently dumped, as the tray icon just disappears.  The printer will print only all pages of a file or nothing at all. What could be the reason for this and how do I correct it? Thanks, Patricia

  • Word document won't 'print' to PDF on proper paper size

    I have a document in MS Word that's on a 5.5x8.5 page size. If I do a Save As, the resulting PDF uses the proper paper size, but it also shows color--which I don't want for this particular document.
    When I do Print and choose Adobe PDF, I can choose Black/white which is great, but I'm struggling to get it to use the right paper size. I've tried ever combination I can think of in the Default Setting and Adobe PDF Page Size options, but can't get it to show anything but 8.5x11.
    Any thoughts on how to get the right paper size using Print to PDF?

    Is this a Word document generated by Adobe's RoboHelp product or just a document generated directly in Word?
    If the latter, you are asking in the wrong place. Even if you are using RoboHelp, this looks more like a question to ask in the Acrobat forums.

  • Word 2007 won't print in color

    Running Windows XP Professional.  HP 1610 won't print color fonts.  Does fine if I specify the printing is to be gray scale.  However, text with a colored font (i.e., non-black) won't print in color.  The paper just ejects quickly if I specify draft printing.  If I specify that the application should choose the printing options, it appear to print slowly line by line but without actually putting any ink on the paper.
    The cartridges are fine and work with other applications.

    I think a setting in the Printing Preferences on your PC where it prints all text as black has been enabled. I'm not sure of the exactly place you'll find it, but it is usually located in one of the tabs in Printing Preferences. I'm attaching a screenshot of another printers' settings window as a reference.

  • Printing text in last page main window of a script

    Hi All,
           I want to print some text at the bottom of last page main window.But how can we find that it is last page.I mean which condition we have to put for that.
    I think the below condition like
    If last-page NE ' 0'.
    write : '----
    '..........   will be used for printing at last page footer window.
    what about main window........how to find that it is the main window of last page............
    Thanks in advance ....
    Regards,
    Rakesh.

    Hi,
    you can use this
    IF NEXT_PAGE EQ ' 0 '.
    write the text here.
    ENDIF.
    in the main window itself. Once all the records got printed, it will check that there is no next page. at that time, that was the end of the internal table in the mainwindow and the text will be printed.
    If you want a seperate window, then also the same logic will work.
    If you want a seperate window, then the output look and feel will not be so good.
    I mean where ever the last record got completed, it will print the text if you put it in Main window. other wise statically it will print at a particular position where your window was placed.

    Venkatesh

  • Fixing table position on the template and printing on the last page

    Hi,
    I have a requirement where i need to print a table at a fixed position and at the last page.
    if there is a single page, then the said table should print at the bottom of the page ... if there are multiple line records, the records should print on the first page and second page till it completes ... and the table at the bottom ..
    even if there is a single line record, the table should be at a fixed position.
    how can this functionality be acheived ...

    clarify one question pls....
    For eg if there is only one record then the table should be in the bottom of the first page or in the fixed position in the second page.... b'cos as you told about multiple lines of records then it obviously comes in the bottom of the end page and will not be inthe fixed position...... right!!!
    Thanks

  • Print on the last page of a Sapscript form

    Hi,
    Is it possible (and how) to print something (a filed of an internal table) only to the last page of a sapscript form?
    Thanks

    Hi
    if you want to print something at the end of a page....
    You can write it as this...
    in the main window...
    in the data element write it...
    /E END_DATA
    /: IF &PAGE&  EQ  &SAPSCRIPT-FORMPAGES&.
    &W_VALUE&.
    /: ENDIF.
    SAPSCRIPT-FORMPAGES variable is a system variable which stores the total pages.
    PAGE variable stores the current variable accordingly it will check for last page and print it.
    Now call it in the driver program .
    Regards.

  • Acrobat Standard Won't print first 1/2 page of scanned document

    I have a previously unseen problem.  I've had the program for a few years, but now it won't print the top half of the first page of a scanned document (some of them).  I tried to print something I scanned a few weeks ago, and it works fine.  That one's also in color.  The ones that won't print fully are black and white.  Any ideas?

    You're going to think this is impossible, but the problem only seems to occur with a couple of particular documents I was scanning.  I tried deleting the file, rescanning and resaving, then printing with the same 1/2 page result.  I tried scanning, saving, and printing a couple of sample documents (thinking I would send one of these to you), and there was no problem!  After multiple attempts with the problem document, I fed it through the document feder backwards, and then it scanned, saved, and printed with no problem.
    I'm using a Brother MFC-J6710DW printer, Windows XP Pro, Acrobat Standard 7.0.  I've actually tried to update Acrobat, without success for some reason.  The actual problem document is too sensitive for me to send out.  I'd like to hear ideas, in case this repeats.
    Thank you.

  • Double side printing from SAPScript, last page missing

    Hello all,
    I try to setup double side printing from SAPScript, but have a problem and hope that somebody might help me.
    In my form I have two pages with main window (FIRST and NEXT) which have print mode set to 'D' and next page set to 'TANDC'. Page 'TANDC' has only one VAR window which contains terms and conditions text.
    Now, everything works fine except that T&C text isn't printed after last page (ie. after last 'NEXT' page). Is there a way to force printing of last (back side) page?
    PS: Calling 'WRITE_FORM' from the print program at the end didn't help either.
    Thanks in advance.
    Grigor

    Hi Vinod,
    this has a same effect as calling NEW-PAGE from form.
    Again, window 'FOOTER' is printed on a new page instead bellow 'MAIN' window and there are no T&C on the last sheet. I also tried to explicitly call text element in window 'FOOTER' before calling 'CONTROL_FORM', like this:
    CALL FUNCTION 'WRITE_FORM' "last element in 'MAIN' window
           EXPORTING
                element = 'LAST'
           EXCEPTIONS
                OTHERS  = 01.
      CLEAR sy-subrc.
    CALL FUNCTION 'WRITE_FORM'
           EXPORTING
                element = 'FOOTER'
                window = 'FOOTER'
           EXCEPTIONS
                OTHERS  = 01.
      CLEAR sy-subrc.
    CALL FUNCTION 'CONTROL_FORM'
           EXPORTING
                 COMMAND = 'NEW-PAGE'
           EXCEPTIONS
                 UNOPENED = 01
                 UNSTARTED = 02.
    It looks like the 'FOOTER' window is under control of SAPScript, not of print program.
    Note: 'CONTROL_FORM' call is placed immediatelly before 'CLOSE_FORM', so at the last possible place.
    Kind regards,
    Grigor

  • PDF won't print beyond a certain page.

    I have sent a 52 page pdf to a client created in Adobe InDesign. They have tried printing it, and it won't print beyond page 23, on multiple printers. I am able to print all pages at home, so I don't know if the problem is somewhere in the pdf's setup, or the clients printers. Has anyone run into this issue before? Thank you for any suggestions.

  • Secondary window to be printed on the last page the form

    Hello,
    Is there any way, by which we can show the defined secondary window on the last page of the form in smartform?
    Only 1 page is defined in the smartform for the layout.
    e.g. If no. of line items exceeds more than the size defined for it in the main window, then a new page is taken to print rest of the line items. then total (defined in the secondary window) of the line items must be displayed on the the last page of the form only in this case the last page is 2nd.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Paresh

    put a counter on which you are getting the line items.
    for the last page, the counter should be equal to the number of line items in the table .. right?
    so.. keep the number of records in another variable, lets say in the global initialization part.
    and for the secondary window condition tab
    keep
    counter = gv_number_of_lines
    only when this condition satisfies, the window will be triggered. and this condition will only be satisfied if all the items are covered => last page.
