Word 2007 won't print in color

Running Windows XP Professional.  HP 1610 won't print color fonts.  Does fine if I specify the printing is to be gray scale.  However, text with a colored font (i.e., non-black) won't print in color.  The paper just ejects quickly if I specify draft printing.  If I specify that the application should choose the printing options, it appear to print slowly line by line but without actually putting any ink on the paper.
The cartridges are fine and work with other applications.

I think a setting in the Printing Preferences on your PC where it prints all text as black has been enabled. I'm not sure of the exactly place you'll find it, but it is usually located in one of the tabs in Printing Preferences. I'm attaching a screenshot of another printers' settings window as a reference.

  • My All-In-One 6500A Plus won't print any color from Internet Explorer (v8.0).

My All-In-One 6500A Plus won't print any color from IE (v8.0).  I can print all colors from Word, PDF documents, photos, etc. - but not from ANY web page.  At first it only printed Magenta ink, now it acts as if it's printing (feeds the paper, moves the print heads across the page and sounds like it's printing) but the paper comes out blank every time.  If I change the print options to print grayscale and only use black ink, I can get a black only image of the web site.
As I said, ALL OTHER APPLICATIONS PRINT FINE.  ONLY WEB PAGES WON'T PRINT, so please don't tell me it's the ink cartridges.  ;-)

  • CP2025dn won't Print in color after downloading Windows 10

I recently downloaded Windows 10 on my laptop (ASUS) and now My Color Laserjet CP2025dn won't print in color. Yes, I have already quarduple checked that it's marked to print in color. I tried printing from Powerpoint, Adobe, and Word. No luck. I also tried to download some drivers but it still won't work. It seems to be printing in black and white just fine. Please help as soon as possible. I have some very important things to print off.

I just tried printing from my friends Laptop, she still has windows 8, and it's working fine, so I know this is a windows 10 issue, can someone please help me with this?

  • HP C7250 has all colors of ink but won't print in color

My HP C7250 shows that all ink levels are OK on the display, but it won't print in color becasue it says tht the Cyan cartridge is low. I recently replaced the Cyan cartidge with a new one and the display shows that the ink level is full, but when i go to print I get a message that the ink level for Cyan is still low.
The printer is out of warranty. Anyone have an idea of how i can get this printer to print in color again?
I have tried reinstalling the catridge, and the same thing happens.

I know this was a while ago, but did you resolve it easily?  Mine has full colors, including cyan at 80%.  It won't use the cyan for color printing at all, so all the colors are off.  I think I have to chagne teh printhead since I've already cleaned them and changed the ink cartridge.  Just curious.  Thanks.

  • Officejet 6210xi all in one won't print in color

I didn't use the color part of my printer for a year, then I bought and installed a new color ink cartridge. However, it still won't print in color. It will print in black but only black, no greyscale. I've tried cleaning the heads, resetting the system, I've double checked to make sure the ink cartridge is the correct one and it is. I've looked through all the faq's in the printers menu but nothing works. Any help is appreciated, I'm about to give up and just get a new printer.

    Hi @Jaim_Faul ,
I see that you are having issues printing in color. You tried a new cartridge and have the same results. I would like to help
    you out today.
I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Try these steps to see if it will resolve the issue.
    Missing, Faded, or Dull Colors.
Go to Step 3 - Print a diagnostic page. Just to see if it is a hardware or software issue.
You mentioned that you cleaned the cartridge heads, I still included this document to make sure all the areas for the electrical contacts were cleaned on the cartridge and inside the printer. Cartridge Error. Disregard the title.

    HP c7180 - Won't print one color[ New ]
    12-28-2010 04:50 PM
My C7180 displayed a message that the ink cartridge was out of date and immediately stopped printing which used Mageneta.    I replaced the cartridge and it still won't print this color.    All other print functions and features are fine.   If a photo or print requires red,  however,  it prints as yellow.   Print tests show a small single horizonal line where the mageneta should be.   Additionally,  I've run the "clean print head" command.   Any ideas or suggestions?    Thanks.

  • C4280 won't print one color

My C4280 started to print color badly a while ago and I new that the cartridge was getting low so I initially refilled it.  Put it back in and it wouldn't print yellow.  So I figured that I screwed something up and went and bought a new remanufactured cartridge today.  Same thing, no yellow.  Got on the phone with tech support and they bascially said that it sounded like the head is bad and of course I'm a month and a half out of warranty.  Then they had the audacity to give me a "deal" on the exact same model.  Anyone else have a problem like this that they've been able to fix?  Am I missing something obvious?

  • HP Envy 5530 won't print in color from Mac

My printer won't print anything in color from my Mac. I've tried printing from Word and from a PDF, and each time only black ink will show up. I've tried:Removing the black ink catridge and printing with just colorShaking the color ink cartridgeRemoving and putting back the color ink cartridgePrinting a test page (color doesn't work for this, either- nothing prints at all when I do this)Double and triple checking my print settings The only ink color that my computer says is "low" is yellow. I'm printing wirelessly, but because black ink prints fine, I'm willing to bet there's no connection problems. DO NOT try to sell me more ink; I am already upset with HP enough as it is. The last thing I want to do right now is buy more of its ineffective products. Please help me fix this problem.
    Thank yoooouuuuu

  • Word 2007 to PDF with Background Color

    Hello,
We have a Word 2007 document which has a Blue background and White Fonts.
When we print to PDF, we can only see the Blue background and the fonts are NOT visible
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!!!

    Well, now I'm confused <g>.
    Following your directions:
--| opened a new DOCX with Word 2007 & saved
--| then, from the Page Layout ribbon; Page Color > selected a Theme Coler of dark blue (top row, 4th from left)
--| entered some text (creatively, I entered "This page has a blue backgroud)
This text had the default font color (black)
--| selected the text string, right clicked for the context menu, selected "Font"
--| in the Font Dialog, used the "Font color" drop-down to change the font color
--| selected "white" (top left selection from the Theme Colors)
--| from the Acrobat ribbon, opened Preferences
    --| used my default configuration:
--| Settings tab: all selected except - Create PDF/A-1a 2005 compliant file & Attach source file
--| Security tab: the add-in default (nothing selected)
--| Word tab: first choice not selected; other two selected
--| Bookmarks tab: first and third selected, second not selected
--| Video: as-is with the default selections
--| clicked Create PDF & Save
--| output PDF: page background is the dark blue; font color is white & readily viewed.

  • Laserrjet 1600 Word 2007 Labels not printing

I've had this problem for a long time.  I want to print labels using my Laserjet 1600 with Word 2007.   It won't feed the paper stock no matter what I try.   It wants to feed from a tray that apparently does not exist.  I've tried manual feeding and tray feeding.   I also have the problem with photo paper.
Does anyone have experience with this and how to properly set the software to do this job ?   Thanks.

MichaelKazlow has already given some pretty good advice, but let me add to that...
Equation Editor 3. Your statement that "MS no longer uses their much better Equation 3.0" is only partially true. Microsoft Equation 3.0 is still included with Microsoft Office. It's in Word 2007, which it seems to be the version you're using, as well as Office 2010 and Office 2013 (as well as the installed versions of Office 365 -- not the web apps versions). You get to MSEE3 the same way you did in earlier versions of Office -- Insert > Object.
Embedding fonts. This is a good idea, but really more necessary for MathType than for Equation Editor. MSEE3 uses the MT Extra font, as does MathType, but MathType's version is much more complete. Thus, some symbols you create with MathType may not appear properly if 1) your recipient does not have the MathType version of MT Extra, or 2) you don't embed the font.
Saving as PDF. This capability is better in Word 2010 and 2013 than in Word 2007, and embeds fonts by default. It's a Save As option from Word; you don't need Acrobat. Acrobat is better, but expensive. If you don't have Acrobat, and if Word's Save As PDF feature isn't working as well as you'd like, doPDF is a free option that works pretty well.

  • HP OfficeJet 6310 All-In-One printer won't print in color with new cartridge

HP OfficeJet 6310 All-In-One printer  on a iMAC  OSX version 10.9.5 system
    Hello,
As I don't print in color much but had need to I discovered my printer not printing in color.  I trouble shooted and even replaced with an new HP95 new from Office Depot ( I never buy refilled).  The printer still won't print color but it advances the paper as if it was printing - just no ink on paper.  I have cleaned thoroughly the ink jet heads, cartridge area, and run all the alignment and printer utilities.    The test page print does not show color either.   I have no error messages.  Don't know what else to do.
    thanks

    Hi there @dhengr!
Thanks for contacting the HP Forums!
I can see your having a print quality issue with your HP OfficeJet 6310.  I should be able to provide documentation that will help locate a resolution.  You mentioned you have already tried another  HP95 tri-color cartridge with no resolution.  I also noticed you said that the quality report from the printer also has no color ink.
If a stand alone test report is performed from the front of the printer such a printhead cleaning or print quality report and there is no color on the page then you are likely looking at a hardware issue within the printer.  I have provided a document regarding Missing, Faded, or Dull Colors on the HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One Printer.  If you follow the document from start to finish and still have the same issue then I would recommend contacting our HP tech support via phone.  They deal with hardware warranty and replacement options.

  • PDF embedded in Word 2007 won't open in final PDF

Hello -- I've embedded a PDF into a Word 2007 doc using Insert > Object > Create from File (and displayed as an icon).  I can double-click to open the PDF while in Word, but after converting the file to PDF (using the "Create PDF" function, not printing to PDF), the "embedded" PDF is just a picture of the icon -- nothing opens.  I've used the same procedure previously and had no problem opening the embedded file, and I don't think I changed any settings anywhere...but obviously I could be wrong...  BTW, I'm using Acrobat 9 Pro.  Any ideas?  Thanks,
