Word detection in IE, PDF files , ...

I would like to have an application which is able to detect words and tokens seperated by space or other kinds of seperators like '-' .
It supposed to work on webpages in browsers and also in PDF readers and ... on all the machines ( Windows , Linux , Mac ) .
So I think java is the best choice for doing this. But how can I implement this functionality? what should I search for or try? I have no idea how can I do it.
on most of the applications specilly word translators or spell-checkers I see such functionality.
Can anyone help me how should I do that? is there any reference to help me or open source code ? even code snippets?

If it can be checked it would be with PreFlight or PitStop. However, because of the structure I doubt that it can be done. Spacing and such aspects of word processing are really not part of a PDF. The PDF should be a duplicate of your word processing file and if it is correct there, then the PDF should be fine. However, it sounds like you are doing a check for paper submissions or such. In that case I understand your interest, but still doubt that it can be done. Hopefully others may drop by with a more favorable answer.

HT1338 why is it that when emailing a word document or a pdf file the recipient receives an unreadable file from me?

Question: why is it that when I email either a word document or a pdf file the receipient of my email get these files in an unreadable format i.e. not in word file nor in pdf file formats, and consequently they are unable to open these files and read them? Thank you!

I need to get the number of words of pdf files. I usually convert them into word files to get the word count. Some pdf files are protected and can't be converted into word files. Is there another way to get the number of words of these protected pdf files? I use adobe professional XI Pro.

Are you using the PDWordFinder functions to get the words? If so, you can use the PDWordGet* functions to get what you need.

I am a subscriber to Adobe Create PDF. When I scan in documents from my HP 8600 all in one, it shows up in my computer with a pdf file extention, but with a microsoft WORD logo. I cannot simply open it with a double click and see a PDF adobe display. Instead I get a window generated from WORD that has garbage symbols and unreadable cybertext which I cannot convert. How can the be fixed?

Acrobat 8.1 and C# - How can you detect password protected PDF files?

I am modifying our existing C# code that opens PDF files. But when ever we hit a password protected file, we are prompted for a password. This is an automated process, so if we detect a password protected file, we move the file to a manual processing folder to be processed later.

This works great for non-password protected PDF files, but it prompts for a password if the file is password protected. I was looking at the FileOpenEX functionality, but I can not find the reference to bring into my C# project. It looks like it is only for C++, since I could only find C++ examples.

There are no methods in the Acrobat SDK for C# for what you wish to accomplish.

When I save a Word document as a PDF file and open it, some of the boxes around the text don't show

I currently have Abobe Reader X (10.1.2) on Windows 7 and I need to save a Word document currently in A3 as a PDF file to print in A4. For some documents I have no problem printing and all of the text, images, boxes, lines etc. all show up no problem, except for 2 documents where there is a problem. The document fits onto the screen perfectly.

Reader is unable to create PDF files. You must be using some other product, and therefore should post your question in that product's forums.

Word 2007 document to PDF file---how?

I have Windows XP, Word 2007 and Adobe Reader 7.0.
I have prepared some documents for printing and binding. The printer tells me I need to "place your Word 2007 document into a PDF file with fonts embedded." How do I do that?
