Word Document only partially imports into iPad Pages

When I import pages from word documents my dropbox into iPad Pages only the first page imports. The rest is blank. This does not happen with QuickOffice, but I prefer to use Pages as QuickOffice is prone to crashes! Can anyone help me with this?

Symptom :
When embedding a pdf document into a Crystal Report, only the one page shows.
Reproducing the Issue
Environment:
Crystal Reports OLE object
Cause
An OLE object only displays the first page.
Resolution
Embed multiple objects, one for each page
Or
Use a hyperlink to the object instead

You may be able to default to DOC, but have not tried same.

You have to make a distinction between the container format (eg, AVI, MKV) and the video/audio format (eg, DIVX). Insert Word document with chart/table into fillable PDF?

My customer is using a PDF fillable form I created, which has a single text box to use for letters, etc. She has a Word document that contains a table/chart that she wants to insert into the fillable PDF, but when she brings it into the PDF the table/chart disappears. How can she get that part of her Word document to insert properly?

Why is the right hand side of the tables on a Word document that was imported being cut off using Webhelp but not when using Webhelp Pro?

I would prefer to use Webhelp and not Webhelp Pro because Webhelp allow for the insertion of a logo located to the right of the search field by selecting the "Show About" check box when generating content. The problem is that Webhelp is cutting off the words in the tables. Wordwrap is turned on in the Word document and the rest of the sentence will continue beneath the "cut off" word.

You would only use WebHelp Pro if you were using RH Server – that’s what the “pro” versions of output are for. I would suggest that something’s wrong with your table definition. You talk about a Word document – is this the source or the output you’re talking about?

Whats size should a word document be to fit the ipad screen perfectly

I am looking at creating a word document i can then save as a pdf to use on an ipad, but whatize should i make the word document so that when i veiw it on an ipad it looks the same as it did on my screen in word?

I use documents to go for my files. I do not have to save them at any specific size. On my iPad, I can pinch to zoom in or out to any size I want. So, I do not see any need to save my files on my computer in a special size to be able to view them on my iPad.

Movies will only partially download on iPad then stops

Ipad2 rental movies will only partially download, always get a retry icon(attempted approx 10 different networks)
Have tried on several wireless networks.
Strange because have been able to download 2 other rentals with success.
Additionally, 1 movie get running after 30 minutes, and then just stopped
Quick time has checked out in a test
Any suggestions?

See if any of the following fix it :
- close the iTunes store app via the multitasking bar and see if you can redownload the film when you re-open it : double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the iTunes store app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
- a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
- turn Settings > iTunes & App Store > Videos (under 'show all') 'on' and see if the film then shows in the Videos app with the cloud icon for downloading.

How do I update interactive links across a document created from importing other indd pages?

Hello! First time writing up a query to please bear with me!
Situation
- I am creating singe page templates for various uses (cover page variations/index page variations/content page variations/etc…)
- The index page has all the chapters listed which are prepared to be linked interactively
- All the other pages have a single drop down interactive menu at the top which effectively have the same links as what the index page offers
The idea is for the client to then create a document by pulling in the individual pages he requires at that moment (it is for client presentations… sales pitches, etc.).
Problem
- Not all the projects they will create with these individual pages grouped up will be the same. Some will have longer menus, others fewer pages, others longer titles, etc…
- The client has very limited indesign knowledge so cannot be expected to update multiple areas of layout/code etc.
- It can be imagined that they can learn how to fix one set of links (say, index page) after they have updated the content, BUT then this would have to reflect across the rest of the document's top menu items...
To summarise
As you may have guessed it, the idea is for the client to have a sexy clean design with interactive menus which vary slightly from document to document (which they have created from single indd pages grouped together (not in a book though)).
They would implement their text/image changes to the template elements and then export the whole thing as an interactive PDF with the menus (index and top) linking to the right (updated) places. They don't have the time or the knowledge to go nuts changing all the links everywhere...
Should I just inform the client that they should either crash learn indesign or forget it? Are they dreaming?
I hope someone out there has some pearls of wisdom for me!!!

In Pages '09 copy and paste the Thumbnails.
In Pages 5 you will just have to copy and paste the content and fix up the layout in the new document.
