Word document print preview shows entire pasted image, but prints only part of image

I just bought a new HP 8620. When doing a copy and paste into Word, everything is shown in the print preview. However, part of the image, usually the bottom, is not printed.

If you copy a photo, does it print the whole picture? Copy Text or Mixed Documents.
After some further searching, I would recommend to try the shrink to fit option in Word, Shrink to Fit in Word 2010 and Word 2013.
If that does not work, please try the following:
Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Clean boot the computer. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Re-install the software using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

Print preview shows me different colors

Hi, I'm Nevio from Italy.
I've bought a new MacPro and installed new Photoshop CC.
I've a big problem: when I have to print an image, print preview shows me the image but with different colors (there is a blue dominant and a different brightness).
I try to select another printer profile or document profile but there is no way to have the same image in the printer preview window.
How can i solve this problem?
(I also try to uninstall and re-install all the CC Software, the printer and all profiles but no solution yet)

Photoshop File> Print preview color has been flaky in the past, i wouldn't rely on it for color -- how does it print is the bigger question...
if it prints bad, how does your print profile SOFTPROOF

Upgraded to 29.0.1 on XP. Print preview shows but when I hit print it just "dings" and nothing else, no print. No dialog box apprears either.

Printing from all other programs works fine including Chrome and Explorer. Ever since my Foxfire browser was updated to 29.0.1 I have not been able to print webpages.
When I hit print the computer does an audible "ding" and nothing happens. Doesn't matter if I choose File>print, f10, <ctrl> P or "print" from print preview, same thing happens.
The printer is on-line and recognizable by other apps.
No dialog box appears so I cannot choose a printer.
When I hit page setup I only get "format & options" and "margins & header/footer".

Thank you for your question. There are two things I would try. It is possible that the printer settings may need to be reset. [[Fix printing problems in Firefox]] or you Java may need to be updated. Check if they are up to date with [http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ Plug in check]

The application Acrobat provides no language translation capability.
If you localize the language for OS, MS Office applications, Acrobat, etc to the desired language try again.
Alternative: transfer a copy of content into a web based translation service (Bing or Google provides a free service).
Transfer the output into a word processing program that is localized to the appropriate language.
Do cleanup.

OK, this is the craziest thing I have seen in a while. My HP printer that has worked flawlessly for years with my Windows XP PC, printed an incomplete page. I tried to print the page once more, it went through the motions of printing, paper feed, printer head went back and forth. When I looked at the page there was no text printed at all, not a trace. Okay, so I must be out of ink, checked the level in tools and it said about a quarter was left. The heck with it, lets put a new ink cartridge in. Did it, checked the level again, now full. Printed the same page and it went through the motions of printing, paper feed, printer head went back and forth. When I looked at the page there was no text printed at all, not a trace. I tried the printer from my laptop, same thing. My wife PC, same thing. So the printer must be dead. This is where it gets crazy! I had a new printer from a combo PC purchase I made in December. I installed the NEW HP printer and the drivers, everything went fine. I printed the test page which is two pears (fruit) in COLOR and it printed fine. Great I am back up and running. Tried to print the page that failed on the old printer and the same thing happened. Are you kidding me! Tried the new printer from my laptop and the same thing happened, no text. It will print in Paint, in color and black. It will print from HP software when printing pictures in color and black and white. It will print from my email suite (Thunderbird) in color and black. It won't print in Open Office in color or black. It won't print in Word, in color and black. It won't print in Word Pad or Note Pad in color and black. New printer, new ink, I don't understand. I've used Feedburner many times and never had such a problem. I am a bit confused, forgive me if I ask for questions already answerd. Have you tried updating the podcast in someone elses copy of iTunes? My guess is that the file is bad since it is working in other programs but not iTunes. I would try making a new .mp4 file and podcasting it and seeing if that works.

Linked images in my Word document don't show up in RoboHelp

I'm using RoboHelp 8 and Microsoft Word 2003 on Windows XP. I create a new WebHelp project. I added all the .png image files from my Microsoft Word directory to Baggage Files. I then used the Link>>Word Document function to add my Word document to the RoboHelp project. Set my preferences for style pagination, did a Force Update All. However, most of the images I inserted as links into my Word document don't come through into RoboHelp. Apparently I'm missing a setting somewhere but I can't figure out what it is. In addition, one of the images that did come through is horribly degraded.

Still no joy. All of the images in my Word document are linked .png files.
Here's the step-by-step of what I just did:
Open Word document
Tools>>Options>>General>>Web Options.
Change setting. Click OK
Click OK
Change text on page one of document to make sure document is "dirty".
File>>Save As.
Increment number in file name.
File>>Exit.
Launch RoboHelp
Start new project
Add all .png files to baggage.
File>>Link>>Word Document
Select appropriate Word file.
File>>Project Settings>>Import tab
Edit Word conversion settings to set pagination for heading styles and set Convert Word list to RoboHelp list
Click OK
Click Apply
Click OK
Right-click Word document in HTML Files (Topics) and choose Update>>Force Update All
no joy

Previewing Pages document in Preview shows page numbers incorrectly

Previewing Pages (5.2) document in Preview (7.0) shows page numbers incorrectly. Regardless of starting page number preview shows as Page 1.
Suggestions appreciated...

That appears to be YABIP5 (Yet Another Bug In Pages 5].
Pages .09 documents are fine.
No prizes however for finding bugs in Pages 5/5.2 it's swarming with them.

Word document icon preview thumbnail is wrong

I can't seem to refresh the icon preview for the word document i'm working on. It has happened to a few documents and even after repairing permissions, shuting down, turning preview on and off, trying to delete icon in 'get info'….. it remains the same.
Not a major problem but I'd like to see the file I'm opening instead of reading the name, it's quicker.

Thanks Chris, I already ran cleaning in Onyx, I've tried deleting again and rebooting, then opening the doc again…but they are still the same… even worse all of the icon previews are corrupted!

Print Preview shows items that have been deleted?

Hello folks.
This is a weird problem a switcher friend of mine is having.
Let's say they have three events on the 12th. They choose to print the month view of their iCal window. In the Print preview on iCal (where you can select all kinds of options for printing, like the size of the text, which calendars to print, etc) all sorts of events and appointments show up on the 12th that have been deleted or no longer exist.
I tried reimporting the calendars, deleting the iCal cache, etc.
Does anybody know a workaround for this? I am thinking this is a bug, but wanted to see if anybody else has seen this.
This is on a 2.1 G5 iMac with all updates and no hacks.

Blank page sent to my printer..Print Preview shows my page as a .pdf (On Mac OS 10.5.8)

A blank page is sent to the printer. When I view the text page in Print Preview, the page is blank and it is a .pdf. The print feature works fine with other browsers. This suddenly occurred. One minute I was able to print...the next minute blank pages print. I have tried two different printers and both experience the same problem on Firefox. The plug-ins are up to date.

Slow down a bit and think this through.
CUPS on linux is nearly identical to CUPS on OS X - but there is no Mac-to-Mac Apple proprietary print sharing. Rather, on linux you are sharing the printer using standard printing protocols. Just like on the Mac (when using the standard protocols like Windows/SMB or IP printing), linux print queues expect postscript input. Try using a generic postscript driver from the mac.
And when you add the printer via Windows Printing or IP > LPD or IPP, you will need to know the queue name for that printer from the linux box. (one computer with one IP address can have multiple printers - so what's the additional address info to print to your desired printer? - queue name.)

Print Preview shows (and prints) only a portion of a page,

Not the printer's fault - it prints what Print Preview sends it (about half a page).

There's a couple of old Bugs ''(over 8 years old)'' in Firefox that can cause that to happen with some web pages. One Bug was recently fixed for Firefox 4.0b8, but it doesn't look like it will be applied to Firefox 3.6.x versions.
There may be a workaround you could apply for a specific domain via a Stylish script, but we'd need the URL of that page and a screen shot of the Print Preview window to try to help you fix it.

With newest Mac OS, Lion, a print preview is no longer available when printing a page directly from the website.

When I used the operating system, Snow Leopard, there was no Firefox. Lion is the latest operating system and Snow Leopard was the latest system before Lion was introduced. Also, there is no problem when I use the native browser, Safari.

Doc: I've had a similar experience, and here are the details, investigation, and a workaround. My printer is a Brother MFC-645CN, and I'm using Snow Leopard (10.6.8) on a 2010 iMac quad i5 connected to the printer over my ethernet LAN. Are you using a Brother printer?
Firefox has shown this kind of nasty issue for the past six months or so. It seems to be related to the imaging algorithms in Preview when dealing with Firefox (now at v.12) and the Brother printer -- the screwy second page (and beyond) show up skewed and up-sized when doing a print preview also. No such problem seen in Safari or anything else. I am not currently using any other Mozilla apps on this Mac besides Firefox.
A few months ago I tested printing from my administrator account and a different user account. Firefox printing was completely normal and as expected. When I went back to my main user account, back came the funky second page.I went through extensive troubleshooting to try to chase it down, systematically removing and replacing apps and preferences and many other Library files related to printing, Brother drivers, Firefox, and Preview. Nothing helped. Solution was to migrate my user files to an account where the printing problem wasn't happening. I deleted the problem user account.
Everything was fine for about three weeks, and then with no warning, printing was back to the bad second page, just as before. I am stumped, and I'll let smarter people try to figure it out. I use Firefox a lot, and it's possible that some add-on setting is interfering, or a web page I visited turned the printing funky again. I just don't know.
Also checked on a Mac G4 running Leopard (10.5.8) and Firefox 3.6.28. No printing/preview problems there.
Now, for the work-around I am currently using -- print each page separately, one at a time. Page 1, then page 2, etc. Preview and printing looks completely normal. Hope this works for you until the bug is located and squashed for good.

Data missing when I print preview and export to pdf but do see the data when i navigate to that page in the report

Hi,
I have a report which consists of 9 subreports in 2 tables..
When the run report I do see data.
when i export to a pdf and print preview the report in Bids.. i see data for the first 22 pages and then the remaining pages are blank with just the header showing up...
when i go to the pdf and select page 25 it is blank but when i go the report and not in print preview mode.. and i type in 25 in the page number data shows up on that page...
the report is set to a portrait and the margins are set to 0.
How can I solve this problems and why is it happening... the size of the sub report are the same..
Any help will be appreciated.

I should add that when I e-mail this document to myself and print it directky from the iMac, it prints fine.

Preview, edited, entire picture vanished, pale gray only

I have a macbook pro, the latest Yosemite.
I opened Preview to edit a photo, but when I changed brightness using the colour editing box, the entire image vanished, replaced with pale gray, so I could not see my edit.
This happened once before and I somehow found the remedy, but can't remember how I solved it.
i need this editing feature with some urgency.

Not really, i just changed my approach. Instead of having one project with all the clips in it, then selecting what I wanted out of it to copy and paste into a new project, I made individual new projects from the clips in the bin.
I originally didn't do this because I couldn't keep track of which clips in the bin I had already used ! (each new project kept the clips in the bin starting back at the first one) So i changed my preferences so that 'clicking on clip' didn't select whole clip and now it's easier for me.
(I'm getting old: I need to take advantage of anything that will help me remember )
