I seem to have lost my help file (vbaword8.hlp) for Word8 object library.
Any idea where I can get it?

Do the cells have a little red symbol at the bottom right? If so, the text is overset. Highlight the table and change the font size, maybe create a new style once you see your text so it can be easily changed and applied again if needed.

Hi Leo22,
Does this error occur if you use any of the example programs that come shipped with LabVIEW? I would try opening one of the examples that write data to Word and see if those give you an error. Also, have you tried just putting down a New Report.VI and change the report type to Word? If this simple vi (that's all you need to open Word) breaks, I would check to see if there are any instances of Word still open. Check the task manager to see if any word processes are still open. There should not be a problem accessing Word 2003 from LabVIEW 7.0. If neither of these solutions work, please give some more detail about your application and we can research further. Thanks!

Word Wrap help

Hi I am using easy catalog and I have create a template for my data to fit in the only problem is on the product title text box on some of the exported products they look like this:
This is the Pro-
duct title.
I want to stop it creating the hyphen when the word doesn't quite fit in. so it does this
This is the
Product title.
So the product title is not cut in two with a hyphen.
Any help please.

I think you dont want the hyphenation, then
edit the paragraph styles -> turn off the hyphenation, thats it.

Microsoft Word 2008 HELP!!!

Hi, i'm new to the forums, just got an imac for Christmas. I have word 2008 for mac, and I use it regularly for work. Funny thing is, whenever I print a document, 2 extra pages are printed with only the date and time the document was created at the top. Only one copy of these extra pages shows up in the print preview, and I can delete the date and time listed, but I can't get rid of the extra page itself after I delete the other stuff. Is there some kind of setting that's triggering this to happen? I looked everywhere, in all the menus. I'd really appreciate some help! Thanks!

Thanks, but I couldn't find my problem there. I saw another person who had the same problem I did on a different site, but they word 2007, so when I tried to follow their solution by going to my menu bars, nothing was the same. I've looked everywhere else too, no one else seems to have this problem

Save page document as word document help!

How do I save a page document as a word document when I don't have a 'save as' option in my File menu? All I have is 'save a version' I tried the shortcut which I believe is shift, command, S but it still didn't work. Please help!

This is not a "save as" operation.
This is an "Export" operation.
Simply go to FILE > EXPORT and select Word as the export format.

Word 2004 Help

Word doc help

I have a Word document that is a table and I cut and paste, but it looks blurred both in printing and viewing. Please help in linking. What else can I do? I'm a beginner. Thanks

Saving-problems in Word..help!

When I want to save a Word-document (I use Microsoft Word:Mac 2008 by the way) an error message pops up and says:
The disk is full trying to save to "Macintosh HD". Free some space on this drive or save the document to another disk.
Then it advices me to close other unneeded programs, or save another place.
What I don't get is that I have 110 GB free space when I view the Macintosh HD-info. And even weirder; if I copy all my text and paste it into a new word-document and then save, then sometimes it works.
So if anyone can help me, I'd be forever grateful!

3rd party applications not working (ie: word & photoshop) Help!

I have been using my macbook without problems for about 7 months now, but last week it started refusing to open 3rd party applications such as word, or photoshop. I tried every application that wasn't apple software and the only one that works now is ableton live. All the non-working applications are legal, i tried reloading the microsoft office software, and even though the reload was successful, the problem still exists when trying to open any of those applications.

Hi Red and Welcome to Apple Discussions ...
Sometimes when apps won't open, it's because the hard disk is full. Here's how to check to see how much free space is available.
Launch Disk Utility from the Applications/Utilities folder. Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left. Now, tell her to look at the bottom of that page where it says: Capacity and Available. Rule of thumb... never allow free disk space to fall below 15 - 20%. It takes a minimum of 15% free disk space just to boot a Mac.
If that isn't the issue, because she can't open PS or Word, it might be a corrupted font that she has used in both those applications. Tell her to try this. She needs to find this file:
com.apple.FontBook.plist It's here: /Users/HerName/Library/Preferences. Open the Preferences folder, locate that file and drag it to the trash, empty the trash and reboot. It's ok to trash a pref file as any Mac will create a new one for her.

Different font between Word and Help file

Hi,
I have a Word file in Arial 10, and the help file created
with RH (WinHelp 4) appears in Times New Roman 9 (or so). What is
wrong ?

Someone else reported just a couple of days ago that the
patch had not worked for them and cited another Microsoft patch as
causing the problem. Search back and see if removing that patch
fixes things. If it does, check with your IT people they are happy
to remove the patch.
Post back if stuck.

Web sight adobe reader file keeps opening in word pad help!!!!

I have a very important file I need to print and it keeps opening in word pad. Seems like it was opened up once that way and now I can't get it to open anyway else. I am sure this is a simple fix but I can,t figure it out.

Check your OS's help files for "file association". Change it back to Reader. In the meantime, you can open Reader first and use File>Open to open the file.

RoboHelp for Word: The Help file opens a blank page

Hello,
The Help files were working fine all these days. Today when i
click on the help on the webpage, it shows a blank page. I am using
RoboHelp for Word X5. I do not get any error message on the screen.
I can just see the progress bar just blinking and also our website
link which says transferring. None of my help files on the live
applications are working

That link works for me in IE and FF so I think we can rule
out your output.
If the problem is the call, anyone who accesses it via the
link you gave me should be OK and only see the problem when the
help is called via the application.
If the problem is the help, anyone will see it, no matter how
they access the help.
I think both can be ruled out as they do not fit what you
describe. I would therefore be inclined to forget the RH8 idea.

But you're the one developing the semantic classifier!
I really doubt you'll find some code to generically determine the parent-child relationship between two words because, as you say, this is semantics and derived from context not from content. Google might help you out though:

I downloaded Lion last evening and now I can't open any of my word documents - HELP

I downloaded Lion last night onto my MacBook pro and now I can't open any of my word documents...

What happens when you try? Any error messages? What version of Word? Office 2004 does not work with Lion. You need Office 2008 or Office 2011.
