Hi,
In addition to Milos comment, you can also face this error due to add-ins enabled. Try the following steps.
1. Click on the File menu, select Options > Add-ins
2. Click on the ‘Go’ button besides the ‘Manage: Com-in Add’ option
3. Check if there are any add-ins enabled, if yes then clear the checkbox to disable them
4. Restart Word 2010 and check if you are able to save the documents
Apart you can also refer below article for troubleshooting.

Hope it helps!

  • "Word has insufficient memory"

    I have a master document which is made up of 10 individual documents created in Word 2003. admitedly, it's a huge file of about 20MB once loaded and consists of tables, numerous jpeg images, links, etc.
    When I try to convert the file into PDF format using the "Convert to Adobe PDF" function, i'll get the
    b "Word has insufficient memory. You will not be able to undo this action once it is completed. Do you want to continue?"
    message.
    It pauses and waits for my Yes/No answer before proceeding - rinse and repeat. This message will appear many, many times and it does not seem to make any difference at all when i answer yes or no.
    I am aware that for a file of this size, the conversion time would run into the hours (I am OK with that). However, is there a way to get the pop-up message from repeatedly pausing and asking for my confirmation?
    My computer specs:
    Intel T2330 CPU 1.66GHz (does not exceed 10% of its capacity when converting)
    1.5GB of RAM (when converting, only 700MB - 800MB is in use)
    60GB HDD (~30GB in use)
    WinXP SP2 (updated with the latest updates from microsoft)
    Adobe Acrobat Standard 8
    Microsoft Word 2003
    any insight would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

    Tagging causes a lot of bloat, but I am not sure why. Keep in mind that the conversion process first creates a PS file (not very memory conservative) before the final conversion to a PDF. That is probably where you are getting hung up. You should only use the features in PDF Maker that you really need. If you don't need them, then it is best to just print to the Adobe PDF printer.
    Embedding the fonts in the PS file (an option) is also a potential memory issue that is not needed.

  • How can I turn off the "this application's signature HAS been verified do you want to run it?" message?

    I'm running Firefox 22.0 on the Mac, OS X 10.6, Java 6 SE fully updated on the Mac. I have corporate web sites I must use throughout the day that have Java applets associated with them, one of them being the Ephox web text editor. EVERY TIME I open a page that has the editor being invoked on it, I get FOUR messages that say "This application's signature has been verified. Do you want to run this application?" Two of them will have the name of the editor. Two of them will have blanks. ALL of them show "ALWAYS TRUST content from this publisher" as checked. RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN.
    Although I have a number of addins installed, I have had to disable them to get these apps to load without crashing.
    NOTE that this does not happen in Firefox 22 on Windows 7; nor did it with the same apps (no upgrades at the corp. website) on Firefox 18 or 19 on the Mac.
    Help???

    We are sorry this is more like a Java issue than a Firefox one.

    I reinstalled iTunes but that dit not help. After synching iTunes with my iPhone it also asks to authorize my pc and when i Click on ok, it says it is already authorized.
    Please can somebody help me, so I can make backup.
    Greetz,
    Derk

    It's likely that your backup is corrupt. Try deleting the backup, then right click on the name of the phone in iTunes and choose "back up". To delete go to iTunes Preferences, Devices tab. Highlight and delete the most recent backup. Note that sometimes deleting this way leaves some garbage around that can still interfere with a new backup, so you should verify that the backup folder is empty.

    The folder where your backup data are stored varies depending on the computer's operating system.   Make sure the backup folder is included in your periodic data-backup routine.
    iTunes places the backup files in the following places:
    Mac:  ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
    Windows XP:  \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
    Note: To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, and choose Run. Type %appdata% and click OK.
    Windows Vista and Windows 7:  \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
    Note: To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type %appdata% and press the Return key.

  • When closing the Form "Do you want to save changes" window

    Hi
    I have a Master-Detail form where in my POST-QUERY trigger i am changing the LOV non-database item field to some value. When I just select Master record(NOT in query mode) my detail records pop up in the detail block. This is done by EXECUTE_QUERY in WHEN-NEW-BLOCK-INSTANCE trigger in Detail Block. But when i close the form it asks me to save changes even though i haven't changed anything. I have this statement in POST-QUERY Trigger
    SET_RECORD_PROPERTY(:SYSTEM.TRIGGER_RECORD,:SYSTEM.TRIGGER_BLOCK,STATUS,QUERY_STATUS); This issue does not happen in QUERY-MODE.
    I tried both Set_Item_Property('BLOCK.CODE',ITEM_IS_VALID,PROPERTY_TRUE); this property in the POST_QUERY and Set_Item_Property('item_name',VALIDATE_FROM_LIST,PROPERTY_TRUE); in QUERY-MASTER-DETAILS trigger but it didn't work.
    please help
    thanks

    Hi!
    I think, beause the message "Do you want to save the changes ..." has no error number,
    you will not get to catch it on a form level on-message-trigger.
    Better find out, why the record status changed.
    - Look to a post-query trigger that fills or changes a database item
    - change the Validate From List item Property to No
    - check for a when-validate-item or post-change trigger on items with a lov that has the Validate From List item Property set to Yes

  • Forms6i question - Do you want to save the changes you have made !!

    Hi,
    I'm developing a custom master-detail form for 11i e-Business Suite. The requirement is to programmatically default values for some of the base table items when entering the master record.. Both the master and the detail blocks are base table blocks and defined the relation between these 2 as well..
    So i have coded my defaulting logic in the "when-new-record-instance " trigger only when the "(:system.record_status IN ('NEW','INSERT' ) AND :system.mode <> 'ENTER-QUERY')"..
    This is working but the problem is even when i do not change any values in the master block and i try to exit out of the form, getting a message "Do you want to save the changes you have made ".. I want to get that message only when some thing else is changed/entered in the master block or when any new detail records has been entered for that master block.
    Thanks in advance
    Shree

    Shree,
    It sounds like you have a Post-Query (PQ) trigger that is populating items in your Form. This is the typical reason why you would see this message when you close your form and no User changes have been made. The best solution would be to move your non-base table items from your data blocks to a control block so the PQ trigger won't mark the block or record as "Changed".
    Hope this helps.

  • Gettins "Do you want to save the changes you have made" promt without any

    Hi all,
    Problem : I have a master detail relation between two blocks which are on different window ( say block 1 on window 1 is master and block 2 on window 2 is detail) ,
    when i open my window 2 and close it without any changes, then when i try to do any change in window 1 i get this popup message "Do you want to save the changes you have made".
    I have various non database items as well which are used to hold intemediate values like sum of a column and all.
    for the close button on window 2 logic :
         go_block('BLOCK1');
         hide_window('WINNDOW1');
    I dont want to change the message level. as if there are really changes made then we need this message.
    In another thread i saw this might be due to copy "value from property" created by master detail relation on the joined columns.
    Please suggest any solutions.
    Thanks in advance.

    HI I found the solution to this Problem:
    when we queried the data block then few items values were assigned . this changes the block_status to CHANGED as well as the form_status variable to CHANGED.
    so in EXIT logic of that window i cleared each block explicitly . this discards all the changes made to those blocks ( This logic was implemented for CANCEL button on my screen as so we need not save the data) while the SAVE logic already has the COMMIT so will not set the popup for that.
    Not a beautiful logic...... but works ...... :)

  • Keep Getting 'Do you want to save changes Msg'

    Hi all
    Have a small form, two multi-record blocks, everything works ok, have no commits or anything in it but keep getting the message 'do you want to save changes?' if I clear query or exit form, if I press yes I get frm-40400 X amount of records saved when nothing has been changed.
    I have another very similar form project more or less the same but with only one block and it doesn't do this??
    Any ideas?
    Andrew

    I have used built in exit_form on a key exit form trigger and this has stopped message when I exit form.
    exit_form(no_commit, no_validate);
    But when I clear the query the 'Do you want to save' message still appears and also a message at the bottom left saying:
    Press CTRL + Tab to move between choices, ENTER to select.

  • Disable "Do you want to save changes to *.pdf before closing?" when closing a tif

    We upgraded to Office 2007 and decided to stop using the Office 2003 document imaging tool to view TIF TIFF files.  This tool wasn't included with Office 2007 so we started using Acrobat 9.1.3 Standard as our default TIF viewer.
    Here is the problem. When you close the TIF document you are prompted "Do you want to save changes to 'xxx.pdf' before closing?" Is there a way to disable this prompt?  We don't want to convert the files since they are in a read only database.

    Nope. Using WORD or Acrobat is forcing a conversion and it not an ideal way to view such files. In addition, you may want to change resolution or such of the graphic before you import it to something such as WORD. Many folks embed graphics that are 3500 dpi and millions of colors and totally bloat the file. They even crop the graphic and reduce the size, wondering why their DOC file is sooooo big. In that sense, there is an advantage to having some of the other tools available. You may have special needs and I do not want to second guess your company needs, so that is my two-cents worth. Sorry that I do not have other ideas, but using an existing graphics package would be the best for your need.

  • Do you want to save changes ?

    I have a table basedblock and it contains an item which is a non base table item.
    I am using post Query to populate this non base table item . because of this
    When Validate Item on this non base table Item is getting firing and changing the
    Block status .So While exiting the form , it is asking Do you want
    to save ? (even there is no change has done).
    How to override this ??is it wise to use mode checking and do the WVI validation ??
    Can anyone help on this.
    Pseudo of current situvation :=
    Example := Block - Emp
    Items - Empno
    Non Base Item - Dummy_description
    Post query :-
    :Emp.dummy_description := Get_description(empno);
    WVI of :Emp.dummy_description :
    if :Emp.dummy_description is not null
    then
    :emp.location := Get_location();
    end if;
    Thanks
    S.j.k

    Hi Habib and Verma,
    Thanks for the reply but Habib, if I use post on WVI it will lock my
    record and in multi user environment , It is really an issue. So i won't want to use post on WVI.
    Verma, If i set a the flag on post Query and wrap the WVI of non base item depends on the Flag means, I have to set this flag back while creating a new record to make WVI to fire !!!
    If I modify the WVI of Non base item as
    if :sysem.record_status in ('NEW','INSERT')
    then
    do ....
    end if;
    will help this problem ? or it will popup any other problem ?? Any Clue??
    thanks

  • Do you want to save changes button code

    Hi guys,
    Quick question which I was wondering if anyone could help me out. When a form has changed and you press the x button you get the message do you want to save changes? with a yes or no option. Is it possible to put code in to trigger of these yes/no buttons when clicked and if so how would I go about doing this?
    Thanks.

    hello
    if i got your need so you will need to create alert
    then start coding
    examlpe
    1- create alert called save_record
    2- in key exit trigger write this code
    DECLARE
    al_id Alert;
    al_button NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    al_id := Find_Alert('save1');
    IF Id_Null(al_id) THEN
    Message('User_Warning alert does not exist');
    RAISE Form_Trigger_Failure;
    ELSE
    /* ** Show the warning alert */
    al_button := Show_Alert(al_id);
    ** If user pressed OK (button 1) then bring up another
    ** alert to confirm -- button mappings are specified
    ** in the alert design */
    IF al_button = ALERT_BUTTON1 THEN
    al_id := Find_Alert('Are_You_Sure');
    IF Id_Null(al_id) THEN
    Message('The alert named: Are you sure? does not exist'); Message('The alert named: Are you sure? does not exist');
    commit;
    exit form;
    RAISE Form_Trigger_Failure;
    ELSE
    al_button := Show_Alert(al_id);
    IF al_button = ALERT_BUTTON2 THEN
    null;
    END IF;
    END IF;
    END IF;
    END IF;
    END;

  • How to remove the warning "do you want to save changes to investigation.pdf before closing"

    Issue: To remove the warning "do you want to save changes to investigation.pdf before closing"
    I have created a XFA pdf file(using LC Designer 8.2) to display this issue
    I am not able to attached the PDF. Without attaching the pdf it would be difficult to explain.
    click event js:
    function activateUser() {
      var PDFVersion=xfa.host.variation+xfa.host.version;
      xfa.host.messageBox("button click event registered");
      xfa.form.form1.sendForm.welcomeMsg.presence = "invisible";
      xfa.form.form1.sendForm.successMsg.presence = "visible";
      event.target.dirty=false;
    docReady event js:
    function displayInfo(){
    var res =xfa.host.variation;//Added this line to display the successMsg
    //xfa.host.messageBox("docReady event registered");
    xfa.form.form1.sendForm.welcomeMsg.presence = "visible";
    xfa.form.form1.sendForm.successMsg.presence = "invisible";
    docClose event js:
    xfa.host.messageBox("docClose event registered");
    event.target.dirty=false;
    Steps to get the warning:
    1) Open the attached pdf using Acrobat Professional.
    2) Click the Confirm Enrollment" button
    3) Now close the document & the acrobat gives a warning "do you want to save changes to investigation.pdf before closing"
    Summary of the XFA pdf:
    It has two text fileds. On docReady event field A is made visisble & field B is made invisible.
    On button click event the field A is made invisisble & field B is made visible.
    On closing the pdf it should not throw this warning message.
    My Efforts:
    1) Found a property in adobe js docs.
           event.target.dirty=false;
    It doesn't solve the problem.
    2) I tried to put this logic in almost all the events listed in designer but I am not able to resolve the issue.
    Please help me resolve this issue.

    I tried putting the below 2 lines of code at the end of button click event & docClose event.
          event.target.dirty=false;
          event.target.requiresFullSave=false;
    It still gives the warning.
    Also I tried to found out the line of code which is making the pdf dirty.
      xfa.host.messageBox("is doc dirty (before displayInfo's visible-invisible work): " + event.target.dirty);
      xfa.form.form1.sendForm.welcomeMsg.presence = "visible";
      xfa.form.form1.sendForm.successMsg.presence = "invisible";
      xfa.host.messageBox("is doc dirty (after displayInfo's visible-invisible work): " + event.target.dirty);
    The doc got dirty when the successMsg field is made invisible.
    Problem I am trying to solve is:
         To display a welcome message before user action and after user action wants to display a success message.
         I follwed the visible & invisible approach & it wokred but gives me a warning on doc close.(Highly imp to avoid it)
    Is there any other approach I could follow here.

  • Deactivate question "Do you want to save" when closing

    Very good in Lion: when switching off the computer all programs close immediately. But Logic: always this stupid question "Do you want to save?". How could I get rid of this question, deactivate it in order to get the program closing immediately.

    imho very bad in Lion, that.
    I can no longer Save as... in Preview, so I can now only rename my screenshots (what I always did after editing them) via the Finder. Also, this Lion automatic save nonsens makes the Mac take much longer to start up than it did under Snow Leopard.
    Also, if I open a Logic project, fool around in it, decide that I don't want to keep any of my foolings, luckily I still get the option to close and NOT save. For that reason it is very good that the user still has a choice of saving or not in Logic.
    Afaik you cannot deactivate the "stupid question".

  • Force Logout without "Do you want to save?" Prompt

    Hi,
    I am new to Applescript, and have been trying to learn as much as I can.  Most of it makes sense, but I'm having a few issues with a particular task.  I've been asked to come up with a way to essentially log out a user after 30 minutes of inactivity.  That part's not really an issue, but when it comes to actually logging the user out, I run into a problem if the user has any open, unsaved documents opened.
    This forces the "Do you want to save changes?" dialog box to appear, which - if left unanswered - ends up causing the log out process to timeout.  I suppose what I'm wondering is if there's any way to force close all programs/open documents/etc. with no prompt to save and log off.  Other sites and forums mentioned using Unix commands, but I'm not that familiar with them (and most "do shell script ..." and some variation of "killall" still brought up the same user prompt about saving).
    I totally understand the reason behind prompting users about that, but I'm just trying to figure out if this is possible.  Any hints, tips, or advice really would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Your problem here is that it may depend on the applications in use.
    All applications should understand the 'quit' event, so you can tell them to quit. Most of them should also accept the optional 'saving' parameter to tell them whether or not to save open documents, but there's no guarantee of that.
    In addition, recent applications that support versions and resume shouldn't prompt at all - they should save their current state and just restore that state next time they're launched.
    So, since there are multiple cases that require different actions, your first problem is going to be categorizing applications so that you know what actions to take. Given that you likely can't predict all the applications that will be running, that's going to be hard to do.
    I might be over-thinking it though, so let's simplify:
    First, it's easy to get a list of running apps:
    tell application "System Events"
              set runningApps to every application process whose background only is false
    end tell
    From here it's easy to iterate through them, first trying the 'safe' option of not saving changes. Here I'm using a 'try' block to catch errors (e.g. the application doesn't understand the 'saving' parameter), at which point I can re-try the quit without the parameter:
    repeat with eachApp in runningApps
              try
                        tell application eachApp to quit saving no
              on error
                        try
                                  tell application eachApp to quit
                        end try
              end try
    end repeat
    So, in essence, this will iterate through the runningApps. It first tries to tell the application to quit with the 'saving no' option. If that fails it then re-tries without the 'saving' option.
    This should be enough to quit most apps, after which you can issue the log out command.
    If you have applications that support versions and restore you could put them in an exceptions list, knowing that when they're told to quit they'll save state, so you don't need to interact with them

    I think u have already had ur Document Types.
    Now using Tcode Se18 u will goto BADI. There U will Select Implementation --> Change / Display.
    Now at below u will see Filter Dependent Check Box Checked which means that the BADI requires a filter.
    Below that u can enter Ur document Types as filters for which types only u want the BADI to be processed. If u want all the Types to be entered and as the BADI is Filter Dependent , u have to enter all the Document types. Now the BADI is triggered only for the Documents containgin that Document type u entered in the filter only.
