Word suggestion doesn't work with bluetooth keyboard

I am trying to use my ipad2 and apple bluetooth keyboard for class notes and writing papers. The major issue that I have come across is that the word suggestiion feature and spell check don't work when I am using the bluetooth keyboard. Is there anyway to fix this?

My wife and I both have Motorola Droid 4s. I have had mine for almost a year, and she has had hers just a week. After I factory reset mine to fix a spell check problem, I noticed that the spell check still doesn't automatically fix errors, and there is no word suggestion. Her's is doing the same thing. When I looked for this issue online, I found numerous other Motorola Droid 4 owners having the same problem.
Since we text a LOT, this is certainly a major inconvenience. We would like to know if there is a fix for this issue, is it OS version and phone specific, and when an update/fix can be expected.

The settings you gave me are the same as I and my wife have set except for the keyboard and input methods. For us, android is checked but disabled (gray), moto chinese input is checked, and swype is checked but disabled and gray. Same as it was when spell check and suggestions didn't work. Now ours is working but what is really interesting is that we never changed anything since it wasn't working. We just woke up the day after posting this and it was working. Hmm. I left the moto chinese checked because why tempt fate?
Thank you for your reply and information. That fact is, my spell check worked for a year and then suddenly it did not. My wife's didn't even out of the box, then the day after I post, ours works perfect. Coincidence? Who cares. =)

Using shift key not working with bluetooth keyboard

Am I missing something here? Or does the shift key not work with the iphone using a bluetooth keyboard? I'm using the logitech K810 for reference on iphone 6 iOS 8.1

The shift key works just fine on my Bluetooth keyboard. So I would imagine this is an issue with your keyboard.

Since you have a pre-unibody MBP, you can fairly easily change the keyboard yourself. Check iFixit or Powerbookmedic and see if they have replacements available.

Enlarge feature, combination doesn't work with wireless keyboard

When I use my wireless keyboard (I also have one with wire and numeric pad: no problems here), I can't use the feature to enlarge text and images. It works from the Safari menu and it works when in the tools bar (modified) I use the A symbol. The feature to reduce (command -) works perfectly.
I must add that the + (plus) symbol in my international keyboard is over number 1, so I tried both command 1 and command shift 1 to obtain the combination command +.
Command 1 redirects me to my first preferred bookmarked site (a fonction that is not in the menu and that doesn't interest me),
I have default keyboard shortcuts (I didn't modify anything).
I know that I can modify the shortcuts through System Preferences > Mouse and Keyboard >...
but is it normal that I can't use in the combinations the symbols that are over the numbers? Did I forget to do something? (something like the fn key in MacBooks or a preference)?

I understand that you are having issues with keyboard shortcuts with a custom keyboard layout.
I also understand that when you press the shortcuts that the menu blinks like it is working, but nothing actually happens.

ITunes 10.4.1 doesn't work with my keyboard anymore.

I used to use mmkeys.dll before to use the media keys on keyboard which is a 'Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 3000 v2.0' but now I can't use the media players without the iTunes in like control or whatever (not sure how to call it, but its when my iTunes is like 'in front' of the other programs I have in use, and like I can control it and stuff, sorry for my stupidity >_>).

One of the latest updates broke media keys. Apple "fixed" it by making it so you can use media keys when itunes is the active program, but they didn't fix it for when itunes is in the background. Unfortunatley, no one needs to use media when itunes is the active window. Logitech keyboards got a fix, but everyone else is stuck until a real fix comes out.

Apple Keyboard with number pad doesn't work with Mac Pro?

I have a Mac Pro, and have used an Apple Keyboard with a number pad (not bluetooth) with it for quite a while, with no problems. But then my keyboard broke and I ordered a replacement Apple Keyboard with a number pad (not bluetooth). This keyboard doesn't work with my Mac Pro. I have it plugged in, but I can't get the Mac Pro to consistently recognize that there is a USB keyboard connected to it. What magical stuff do I have to do to get the keyboard to be fit for purpose?

It would not hurt to try an SMC Reset. (But if it does not help, it adds credence to lllaass assertion that the keyboard is not working.)

Going to the local Apple store this morning...
My problem is not uncommon as the board is showing signs of this happening to many others as well. That is where I found the restore and reboot information to try to solve the issue of crashing apps.
I understand that Apple will not "give away the cow", but letting iPhone users know that the problems they are having are being addressed by Apple is a little more comforting than nothing at all. Other wise, all the apps in world are useless and even more importantly worthless, if a person has to reset/reboot/reload just to get them to work.
IF Apple can not address the basic problems with todays iPhone apps, why should one believe that the iPhone 3.0 OS is any better? Using a PC comparison, which is better, XP or Vista. If the current iPhone OS of 2.2. what ever is not working that well (as related to down loaded apps and iTunes), will OS 3.0 be any better?
The waste of time I refer to is in going to the apps store and downloading the apps... Again why by apps if the free version does not work?

Thanks for your answer. No special circumstances, just that when there's a window in Word 08 and I activate Exposé, the Word window doesn't get highlighted when I hover over it, or the highlight is not aligned on the window ... I don't know if I'm being crystal clear. What's sure is that it's quite hard to select a Word window in Exposé on my computer !

Office 2008 and 2011 work with Yosemite. If you had Office 2004 installed, then it will not work. If you had Office 2008 I would upgrade to Office 2011. In any event you should try completely uninstalling Office and then reinstalling it.

Keyconfig doesn't work with FF 24.0. Is there a way?

I have just completed rebuilding my PC from a hard disk format. In doing so, I loaded the latest FF 24.0.
Part of my essential application was a script that used keyconfig to cause Easy Copy to send page source to the clipboard, where the script parses it. Unfortunately, keyconfig does not work with FF 24.0.
The write-up for Easy Copy starts to explain how to make it act on a key combination, rather than on mouse action without using keycopy - but then says how it doesn't need to, because it's too much effort, and besides - keyconfig exists and does the job - which, I agree, it used to, very well - but it doesn't any more.
What to do? If there is no other way, can I get a downgrade of FF that works with keyconfig?
There is a new add-on, key config (note the space), but it doesn't do what keyconfig did.

The first time I loaded it was through the FireFox Add-ons tool, so that was the natural mechanism to use to do it again. Even now, it is listed on the tool - but a notice comes up saying that it doesn't work with FF 24.0. Before getting help from you, I was on the point of downgrading FireFox to be able to use the add-on with an older version.
Another solution to my problem (possibly a better one) would be if the writer of Easy Copy would give instructions for making a key combination to cause his add-on to respond to the keyboard without the intervention of keyconfig - hence only one add-on would be needed instead of two. He has made hotkeys for two of his functions - to copy the URL to scratchpad, for example, but there is no hotkey to copy the page source. I was going to suggest it on his web site, but it doesn't accept input.

There is still an issue that when a link is selected it show the same behaviour but that's more liveable with and I haven't given up hope of finding the class which is causing it.

What version of word do you have? The TS3938 sounds like it's a PowerPC app- written for an old architecture that is no longer supported in Lion. If this is the case, your files are fine- you just need a newer version of word that will run in Lion in order to open them. The newest version (2011) should be readily available anywhere, and has worked fine for me ever since I switched to Lion on release day....

Firefox command line option "-no-remote" doesn't work with profile.

I want to run the stripped version of firefox in background with one application and another full version of firefox for normal browsing. I have created the profile for the stripped version of firefox and loading the same using command firefox -P "stripped" -no-remote/firefox -no-remote -P "stripped". But when I start the full version of firefox by launcher "firefox" than it directly loads the stripped version even used the -no-remote option with profile. So I have created launcher for firefox and used the -no-remote with default profile like "firefox -no-remote". It works when first time I click on launcher but for second click it shows the message "Firefox instance is running, or not responding. close the firefox and restart the system". I have gone through the online available documents that suggests that use the -no-remote option with profile so the default profiles works correctly. But -no-remote option doesn't work with the profile. So is there any way to launch the full version of firefox by launcher on second click on launcher?

If I use the above command than the new firefox window get the configuration from the stripped even if I have used the -no-remote.
I use the -no-remote with firefox default than it works for the first time.
I have created the launcher for firefox default. So if I click second time on launcher than it doesn't work.
