Wordpress - Best source of themes?

Hi,
It seems that Wordpress is taking over the World and I would be very grateful for any advice on where to source the best non-bloggy Wordpress themes (excluding those that appear on Wordpress.org!).
I'm not giving up on Dreamweaver which will always be my favourite software application for designing and developing websites!

Thanks SnakEyez02 for your thoughts on this. Although I'm very comfortable with using DW and CSS coding, the option of manipulating a Wordpress theme and building Child Themes from it sounds complicated ...and another sharp learning curve ... but I'm up for the challenge!
I recently bought a copy of 'Wordpress, the Missing Manual', to get an idea about setting up and using Wordpress ...but it lacked the detail on how to manipulate a Wordpress theme. If you have any advice to offer on how to achieve this ... and any information about a specific theme that can be worked on that would be much appreciated.

Dock for W530 - Best source for purchasing 5 of them

After much deliberation (and my boss telling me we are only allowed to get Lenovo's), we've decided on the W530 for our next laptop in the Systems department where I work. I found a great deal on a W530 with upgraded CPU and the nice 1080p screen for under $1250 new (cdw.com), which was great because my company doesn't want to spend over $1300 on laptops.
However, the dock is hard to find. I can't find any legit sources for it. There is only one dock we're considering, which is described as:
Lenovo 433835U ThinkPad Mini Dock Plus Series 3 with USB 3.0 - 170W
It's not available from any of our usual sources, so my question is: What is the best source to get these?

The docks are very expensive. I just spent some time looking for one. I have never bought anything from either supplier you list so I cannot comment. I ended up getting a used one without a power supply and getting the power supplier somewhere else. You need to make sure it has the connector to fit the 170W AC adapter. Sometimes, the line between used and refurbished is not clear; the most important thing is that you can return it if it is defective, whether it is new, refurbished or used

Best source of binary packages for Solaris 10

Which is the best source, Sun's companion CD, www.sunfreeware.com, www.opencsw.org, www.blastwave.org, or others?

Depends on your needs. Ie what criterion you use to decide "best".
blastwave and opencsw are more "modern" complete repositories.
They come with a "pkg-get" system for recursively fetching a package and all its depencies.
But they have a slightly higher startup cost as you have to install the pkg-get framework. Not that its hard.
You can't just download a package off the website and install it.
These days blastwave has made a cut with the past and only supports solaris 10/opensolaris.
opencsw is a fork that still supports solaris 8+.
the sun cd is a old snapshot of a small subset of whats on sunfreeware.
So if you just want one simple package. Grab it off sunfreeware.
If you want something more complex. eg a bunch of packages or a package with complex dependencies, its worth making the effort to get it off blastwave. Unless your running solaris 8/9. In which case use opencsw.

which Pixel-Aspect-Ratio - 1.000 / 1.066?

I would recommend CVS.. Its free and simple. There are several alternatives available.. depending on your team logistics etc.

How can i cut down the video's i've shot to only have the best parts in them for later use

first thing I was wondering was. I upgraded to the premiere user to where I have 20mb of storage but I take a lot of spearfishing video's and photo's and the 20mb is just about full. I see I can buy more memory but should I just get a external hard drive to keep all my photo's and video's and if I do that is it easy to get the materials that I need for me to create my new projects in premiere elements or should I just buy more memory. the second thing I was wondering is that I take a lot of spearfishing videos and each dive can be 15min long but only have about 4min of action footage that I actually use. so my question is after I download the video's from my camera can I go through them and extract the good footage and save it like that for me to use at a later date in my projects. it would save a lot of time and a lot of memory to be able to do it this way and if I can how do I go about doing it. thank you for all your help Cory

This is the very definition of video editing, Cory! That's what the program is designed to do!

The most important step in any project is setting up the project settings to match your source video as precisely as possible. I cover this in part 1, so watch it carefully. I go into greater detail on setting up a project and capturing, editing and outputting video in my books, if you're interested.
As for Photoshop.com, I'm not sure it's worth buying more than 20 gig of backup space online at this point. You'd be better off investing in a good, large second hard drive for your media and project files. Save the online backup for your finished pieces.

Actually, I'm a new in a Oracle career but I know all concepts of Databases and SQL.
I'm planning to take a Oracle 12c (1Z0-061) (SQL Fundamentals) exam to achieve 12c OCA certificate but I'm bit confused in what source is best to learn it by self and what are tips to pass those all exam to lead me OCA certificate. The Oracle Press exam guide for 1Z0-061 is written, though of course there is all sorts of production stuff still to go. The 1Z0-062 guide (a lot longer!) is done except for the last two chapters. So both should be out in the near future. I know this because my buddy Roopesh is writing 1Z0-061, and I'm writing 1Z0-062. Bob Bryla's 1Z0-063 guide is bit later, the exam isn't in beta yet.
As Philippe says, the OCA is not simple this time. Of course I can't reveal the exam content, but I think I can say that Oracle Uni is raising the standard with 12c .

A check on my settings to get the best out of them.

Just checking base with you as you always offer me the best advice.
Have just received my extra 2gb ram (yipee) which now takes me to the max 4gb allowed for my OS.
Everything is working as it should so l'm wondering whether l'm now getting the best from my system (via the settings).
I can overclock the FSB via rocker switches on the mobo by either 10%,15% or 20%. Can't notice any difference if set at 15% or 20% so have left it at 10% as that seems to show more of a difference over the default than the higher settings. Don't know why it's not faster at 15% or 20% but l can't see it.
Also, if l look at my virtual memory settings in System Properties, for the C drive it is set to custom size, initial size 2046mb, maximum size 4092mb. For the D and F drives which have plenty of space on them, the buttons are just set to no paging file.
The total paging file size for all drives says minimum allowed 2mb, recommended 4990mb, currently allocated 2046mb.
Would you recommend any changes for any of these settings?

You're sort of right... of course, you can physically have 4GB of memory, but when using a 32bit OS due to addressing limitations there'll only be about 3-3.5gb available RAM. You can use a 64bit OS which is able to address all the RAM, but any 32bit software you run will face the same limitation.
You'll notice I have 4GB RAM in my machine, but I only use a 32bit OS. I'm not really bothered about having only 3.2GB RAM available, as its still more memory than I had previously, and 3.2GB is more than enough for my needs. There isn't any 64bit software available yet that I'm desperate to use, so I'm holding off on installing a 64bit OS, its certainly not worth it yet just so I can have that 'full 4GB' to use.

Best adaptable template theme on 4.0?

Greetings to all!
I am about to start on a new application where I intend to include some major custom css formating.
Now with previous applications and themes I have experienced, that some elements are very hard to adjust (like placing a table in the center of the screen instead on the left edge), also when importing other libraries like Twitter Bootstrap, often there are conflicts between the styles, that cause unpleasent results.
Now my question to you is, which theme in the 4.0-respository has a rather new page-html, and is best suited for further customization? E.g. when importing jquery UI.
I know, I still could kick out the theme-css out of the page template entirely, but then some functionalities, like the actions menu on an interactive report, stop functioning.

Personally, I'd go with a custom theme, and keep the #HEAD# tag in your page template before your CSS references.
You will need to add a few adjustments to sort out CSS conflicts, but it's not that painful to do. The APEX team are scoping the CSS to APEX specific items more and more with each release.
I'm currently using Twitter Bootstrap in APEX 4.0, and have had relatively minor changes to make to sort out layout issues. No JavaScript issues at all, and in particular none with the interactive report.
If you want to tweak an existing theme in APEX 4.0, I'd use themes 21 or 22 (much the same). Reasoning being they are the most modern, and are in APEX 4.2 as "current" themes rather than "legacy" themes.

Best sources for learning digital scrapbooking?

I am interested in learning more about digital scrapbooking using PSE7. I'd like to print them using Shutterfly. I've looked all over the internet and am now confused where to start. I need to start with BASICS! I'd love to find a message board where people exchange ideas. Thanks for any ideas you have!

Once you get the hang of digital scrapping, you are going to become a collector of great digital kits and elements. My advice to people just starting out is top get organized *before* you accumulate a lot of stuff. And beleive me, you will! If you are using PSE ther eis Organizer built in, but I founf that to slow my computer down a bit. Other scrappers use Picasa. I use ACDSee Photo Manager and I find that one to be the easiest and the best.
If you google "digital freebies" you'll find some great stuff out there. Also, Digital Scrapbook Place is a great site for tutorials.

Your Best Source For More Loops?

Looking for a good source for more loops. There are a bunch of sites out there but would like to find one where:
- Garageband Compatible Loops
- Can demo a good sampling of loops in a package
I don't want to just buy 200MB of random loops, I'd like to listen to some of them first.

Those NewerTech's are supposed to be pretty good. I bought a BTI battery from Fry's last summer. So far, I'm getting about 5-6hrs out of it, doing word processing and internet surfing. Can't complain, since it was fairly cheap ($100).

I just had a bad experience with a seller on eBay - but I still want to find a new Palm Unlocked GSM Treo 680 to replace my old 650. What would anyone of you suggest as the best place to find one from somebody reputable, since Palm no longer sells them?

Hi.. Welcome to the Palm forums. Personally I have never trusted Ebay however, I know alot of people who have gotten good quality products cheaply there. Go to a vendor you know is reputable like Amazon. I did check and they do have unlocked gsm 680s available.

Where's the Best Source for a PB G4 15" Battery?

I read the Apple Discussions Terms of Use and did a search for specific battery recommendations and I'm shocked to see the dearth of info! At first I wondered if it was against Apple policy to post links to third party hardware, but I didn't see that in the TOS. If that's the case, please pardon the question, delete the post and I'll take the hint...
Otherwise, "Where do you all buy batteries from?" I've read of the abysmal performance of the OEM units for $129.00. I've searched all over the Internet, and found a few that claim 4800MAh performance with prices from $75 up to $130 and beyond. Usually, a forum search would bring up a dozen posts with folks arguing the virtues of Brand X over Brand Y, with links to different e-tailers who carry them. Am I searching the wrong forums, or what? (Insert majorly confused icon here.)

The G4 needs 10.8VDC to operate, but the battery is composed of 6 cells that are 3.7V each:

Those cells are configured in 3 pairs, so they total 11.1VDC. Both voltage standards are accurate, but using 10.8V can yield a higher Watt hours rating.
