Words overlapping in iTunes

I am having a small issues with my iTunes. When I connect my iPod or iPhone and open iTunes, the text seems to overlap on the lines (as if the paragraph spacing is too close). Also most of the words don't finish and look like: iP... instead of iPhone. Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it?
Thanks for your help!

The menu containing file, edit view etc only have the top half of the letters showing.
Hmmm. I'm not sure if that's quite the same effect described in the following troubleshooting document, but it seems close enough that we should check:

Hi divabuyer,
It sounds like you're trying to convert to Word from within Reader, is that so? Are you signed in to Reader? If so, you'll see your name in the upper-right corner of the Reader application window.
If that doesn't work, please try llogging in to https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf with your Adobe ID and password.
Let us know how it goes.

• Words overlap on websites

On certain web sites the words overlap and can not be read or clicked on. we have a late 2009 imac We Love it!! that's the only problem we have. thanks for any advice joekel

Hi. Safari was driving me nuts on my brand new MacBook Pro and I was having the same problem of messed up/jumbled text on certain web sites. I couldn't even place an order on certain sites like Amazon or make a hotel reservation, for example, because the fill-in boxes had text all over them. I finally called technical support and escalated my call to one of the senior advisers. At last, she came up with a solution. The issue (at least for me) was in Safari preferences. Some of the preferences that I had changed over time were somehow interfering with how certain web sites appeared.
In summary, you have to delete any .plist files which have the word "Safari" in them. For me, these files were:
com.apple.Safari.plist
com.apple.Safari.RSS.plist
Once I deleted these and rebooted my MacBook Pro, Safari was returned to it's original state as it appeared when I first got the computer (i.e. the "Welcome" screen, etc.). This completedly solved my problem, and now all of my web sites are looking great with no jumbled text.
To find these .plist files, do the following:
1) Open the Finder window
2) Under "Places", click on the house icon (i.e. your hard drive icon)
3) Go to Library ----> Preferences and then expand the list of files that pops up so that you can read them all. Look for anything that has the word Safari in it (i.e. the two files that I mention above). Drag them to the Trash.
4) Close all windows and restart your computer.
5) After the Restart, open Safari. You will be back at the default Safari "Welcome" screen that first appeared when you got your computer. Try navigating to the troublesome web sites. I hope you will find that your problem is solved. It worked for me!

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems, make sure that the window is not maximized:
*View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)
If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause such issues.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

• Use pages to transfer word doc to itunes

I purchased the 'pages' app by apple under the impression that I would be able to transfer microsoft word documents to my ipad and edit it. However, I have not seen any option for that functionality. Can anyone help please?

I don't have iTUnes 11.2 but I can't imagine that the file transfer part has changed. Have you looked with your device plugged in? That part, stuff specific to devices, only shows up if a device is attached and selected in the sidebar.
Attach your device, click on the name of your device in the sidebar (may need to turn that on, it defaults to off, control B on a PC brings the sidebar back), then navigate to the apps tab that you see horizontally with all the other device specific tabs and scroll down.

• Can I copy spoken word cd to itunes

I want to copy spoken word CDs that I have onto iTunes so that I can put them on an iPod Touch. iTunes does not appear to recognise the one I tried. Any suggestions?
thanks
Gerry

Things to try:
A. Restart computer.
B. Does it do this with other CDs or just this one?
C. Will the CD play in Quicktime? Will it play in a normal CD player?
D. These are commercial CDs, not home-burned?
E. I seem to recall a SMC reset possibly clearning up a similar issue posted a week ago.

F. Try a drive cleaning disc to get rid of dist. Not had much success with those myself.
G. Could be a drive going bad, but nice to rule out other possibilities first. Have another computer available to use in testing?

• No words on my iTunes display

When I open iTunes, not all the words are on the screen. You can see the pictures and boxes you can click, but no words. See below. I have an HP desktop with Windows 7. Is there a display setting I need to change? I have it on the highest resolution, 168x1050. Any help would be appretiated! I can't manage my iPhone though iTunes at all like this. Thanks!

That's consistent with trouble with the Segoe UI fonts on your system.

• ITunes syncing my podcasts to a different iPod

We have an iMac running Mac OS X (Tiger). I have a 5G 30GB iPod and my son has a 4GB Nano. Each of us has our own account (mine is the admin. account) and our own separate music libraries in iTunes.
Once when I was working under my account, I wanted to charge his Nano's battery. When I plugged it into our Mac, I got the message stating that his iPod was synced to another account. My options were to either erase his Nano and sync it to my library or to cancel. Naturally, I selected "CANCEL". But interestingly enough, the podcasts I subscribed to started to sync to my son's Nano. Once the sync was complete, I checked my son's Nano and, sure enough, there they were.
So, not wanting my 8-year old to hear the exploits and musings of those wacky madcaps at "beer.com", I logged off my account, logged on as my son, plugged in his Nano, synced up with iTunes, deleted the podcasts from iTunes, synced up again and finally set the parental lock to disable podcasts. All is well.
Now whenever I plug in his Nano to charge it when my account is active, the same message comes up as before. When I select "CANCEL", iTunes still shows the podcasts syncing to my son's Nano but (as near as I can tell) they aren't actually getting there. I still make a habit of checking just to make sure they don't get there.
My questions are: Have I got something set wrong somewhere to cause iTunes to try to sync podcasts to my son's Nano, or is this just the way iTunes works? Why does iTunes show podcasts syncing to the Nano when I have both disabled podcasts on the Nano AND selected not to sync it to my iTunes library? Is the parental control to disable podcasts only a part of the iTunes software and not the Nano itself? In other words, can my iTunes library not tell that my son's Nano is not supposed to get podcasts, or is syncing podcasts simply based on the iTunes settings for the active account irrespective of whose iPod is plugged in at the time?
Right now it is not a big issue as all podcasts are currently disabled on his account. If he ever wanted to subscribe to some more age-appropriate podcasts, however, then I assume I'll be able to set something somewhere to keep the more adult-themed material from getting on to his Nano irrespective of whose account is active when I plug in his Nano to charge it. The other options, of course, are to only plug in his Nano to the Mac when his account is active or to charge it from a plug-in.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me on this issue.
Mac OS X (10.4.9)

Sorry I forgot to ask How. Do I export the library? When I choose this my only choice is a .txt file. Or do I backup the whole library.
As much info. as possible would be appreciated
Thanks

• ITunes wont run due to Data Execution Prevention in Vista. Please help.

After trying to reinstall iTunes because I could not transfer a Word file to iTunes it will not now run.

Can you do the repair for iTunes as well and see whether you are still getting the message.
If that does not work, you have to follow steps below to uninstall and reinstall Itunes & QuickTime.
Step 1: Uninstall iTunes and QuickTime
I would suggest you to completely uninstall iTunes and QuickTime from your computer without leaving any traces of these programs on your computer. Also, uninstall any third party codecs(like K-Lite Codec) installed on your computer using the Programs and Features wizard from the Control Panel.
Removing iTunes, QuickTime and other software
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1925
Note: The link above also have instructions to re-install iTunes and QuickTime. Do not re-install it as of now.
Step 2: Download and install the latest version of iTunes
www.apple.com/itunes/download
Step 3: Uninstall QuickTime from Programs and Features
Once you install iTunes, by default you'll have QuickTime installed on your computer. You'll have to uninstall QuickTime from Programs and features.
How to uninstall a program in Windows Vista Programs and Features?
Step 4: Download and install the Standalone version of QuickTime
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
Now check if you’re able to execute iTunes without having any problem.

• How do I get my iTunes library off old PC & on my new Mac

Brand new Mac user--this is my second day. Have had an iPod Nano for about 8 months and want to move my iTunes Library to the new Mac and de-authorize (is that the right word?) the iTunes library on old PC once I pull everything off of it--it's going to be wiped and given to a charity!
The songs on the iTunes library and the songs on iPod not all the same--there is only a subset of songs from the library on the iPod. Suggestions?

You basically just have to transfer the iTunes folder from the PC to the Mac.
Apple has some instruction for using your iPod as an external disk drive:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1329?viewlocale=en_US
Or you can use file sharing if the Mac and PC are both connected to a network.
There are also several sites on the web that have instructions for migrating, such as this one:
http://www.tunequest.org/migrating-your-itunes-library-from-windows-to-mac/20061 105/
And you should de-authorize the PC by choosing Deauthorize Computer from the Store menu.

• ITunes Wifi Sync issue

Hi,
I canceled a wifi sync session (pressing the x in the area in which iTunes shows what it is currently syncing to/from my iPhone) and ever since doing so my iPhone is no longer recognised in iTunes.
It doesn't show up on the device list.
Things i tried:
1. Quit iTunes (Finder > iTunes > Quit iTunes)
2. Restart computer
--> also restarted the iPhone before trying again
3. plugging in the USB cable.
4. Go to Preferences --> Devices --> option "prevent iPod, iPhone, iPad to sync automatically" isn't checked.
--> Makes sense, since my iPad is connected and syncing properly. Double checked it anyway.
5. Searched on Google: not finding anything useful. searched on words like: osx + itunes + wifi sync + not showing
System spec's:
iMac 27" 3,4 GHZ i7, 16GB ddr3, SSD. OSX Lion 10.7.2 installed. iTunes 10.5.2 (11) installed. Latest updates installed, completely updated.
How do i fix this issue ?

This Apple article might help ya out -> iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Is the Apple Mobile Device Service running?
You may want to try uninstalling the security software or following along with Apple's article.

• My Macbook Pro won't shut down or restart without forcing shut down. Hangs on grey screen. iTunes not recognizing iPod.

HELP!!!
Here are the specs of my machine:
2011 13.3" MacBook Pro
4 GB Ram/320 GB HD
For the past several months my MacBook Pro refuses to shut down or restart without holding down the power button. Whenever I choose to restart or shut down the computer, it will hang on a grey screen. I have even tried letting it hang for an hour, and it still won't shut down. I notice that once in a while it will retart or shut down correctly if I had not used opened iTunes since turning it on. However, even manually closing iTunes before shutting down or restarting does not solve the problem. It seems as though it only shuts down if iTunes was not used since restarting the computer. Is this a registry error? Do I need to reinstall iTunes? I noticed this problem began happening after I uninstalled Kaspersky Virus Scanner, could that be the problem as well? Also, I cannot guarantee that the problem is only associated with iTunes. I just noticed that one of the few times it shut down or restarted correctly, iTunes coincidentally had not been used. Also, this problem started happening while I was still using Lion and has continued despite upgrading to Mountain Lion.
Also, whenever I update my iPod through iTunes, it won't eject properly, and a transparent icon of the iPod displays on the screen even after I have removed it from the USB port. Furthermore, the iPod will only be recognized by iTunes and will only be updated the first time I plug it in. After removing it and plugging it back in, it won't recognize or update the device unless I shut down and restart the computer. I have the latest addition of iTunes. I also have two iPods, one 80 GB Classic, and one 8 GB Nano, and I have the same problem with both.
I have AppleCare. Should I take my macbook to the genius bar?
Applications I normally use are Word, Safari, FireFox, iTunes, FinalDraft, Photo Booth, Notes, Mail, App Store, etc. No real heavy lifting.
Any feedback would be very much appreciated. :-)
Thank you everyone!!

I have this question too.
