Work Center Analysis Monthwise

Hi,
In COOIS when we take list as operations it displays the various details like work center,PO, operation qty, yield, Standard time and confirmed avitity,actual finish date etc. We can take a report about all these details for which orders are confirmed.I have requirement where for each work center, monthwise report is required to display only the partial /confirmed production orders during that particular month. Is there any possibility to get report monthwise??.

Rama,
did u try with COOIS, itself.
put work center ,system status( at operaion / order level), basic/ production dates( select one month span), and it will display only that work cneter specif prod orders with addtional selection criterial you applied.
i am not sure if final output has all the information columns you need to see in work cneter monthly report.
if something is missing in output columns, try enhancing the COOIS.

Work center selection during UD

Production guys confirmed order confirmation or make backflushing confirmation to update the WIP/FG stock,
then quality cleared such stock through posting to unrestricted or blocked stock or rejection store location,
Quality person requires during UD posting ,work center/Machine selection should be there in QA32 transaction,
so that the analysis could be made for the work center,

Using Inspection Point assignment, you can record the Work Center / Machine.
But with Inspection Point, you can't have F4 selection option in standard. You have to type the Work Center code manually which may prone to error.
You can check for some user exits to define Sub screens to pop up.

Work-center timings not reflecting in maintenance order.

Hi,
My requirement is, I want the work-center timings to reflect in my call object (Maintenance Order) generated through a maintenance plan.
My scenario is: I've made a work-center with the following data,
wrkcntr category as 0005; usage 004; control key PM06 with scheduling indicator checked;
in capacities start-finish timings as, 06:00-14:00; operating time of 8hrs, and factory calendar is chosen for maint. people.
The order type say pm08 is selected.
now in the maint. plan we choose this work center in the planning data field.
Task-list is also attached and the data are OK.
in maint. plan scheduling parameter shift factor etc NOT given.
Now when after schedulling I got one order with the
SchedStart: DD.MM.YYYY 06:00
Sched.Fin.: NEXT DATE 06:00
but I need the date to be 06:00 to 14:00 as in the respective work-center.
For for fastly solving the problem my analysis:
I checked the order,goto operation tab,goto dates tab and found that basic finish time of activity is 24:00:00
If this is the reason than how to make it 08:00:00 default for this order type.

Work Center in Maintenance Order.

Hi ,
Due to Process Change some maintenance work centers become obsolete.
Can it possible to hide or work center do not see in F4 help in Maintenance order.

Jogeswara Rao Kavala input is the most suitable in your case however another work around would be :
If you are using the "Person Responsible" for your work center, then remove the entry from the person responsible for such obselete work center as they will not be used any more and no person will be responsible for their maintenance and co-ordination. This will help in all other reports selection and analysis also.
While searching for work center(F4 Screen), default the tab "Person Responsible".Now when you select any work center based on person responsible, automatically that work center will be excluded from your selection screen.
Pre-requisite: You use Person responsible assignment in ALL work centers....
Other way would be to set deletion flag to this work center so that even if they are included by user without looking into F4 help, system will prevent those work center from including in the work order for further processing.

Capacity Leveling of Work Center

Hi all,
I have a problem with Capacity of Work center (WC).
I have a Internal Activity, and i assigned a WC for this Internal Activity. WC's capacity is 100H/day for 1 number of element.
Work of this WC is 250H, duration 5 days, number of element 1. Default capacity of this WC is distributed by Distribution Key define in Activity. . And they are divided equally between factory days in 5 day. That is capacity requirement is 50H/Day
So, i want to edit this WC's capacity following value:
Day 1: 100H/day
Day 2: 50H/day
day 3: 0H/day
day 4: 0H/day
day 5: 100H/day
How can i do it?? I try to use Dispatch Manually but i cant solve this problem.
Please help me for this case.

Capacity leveling depends on some of the basic set up of Capacity Requirement Planning .You need to have proper CRP set up frist .
Couple of check points : -
Did you work centre is relevent for finitie scheduling in CR02-Capacity Header and wht is the over laod percentage for work centre ?
Did you have Capacity Requirement Related Set up like Over all profile , time profile , Startegy Profile -OPD0?
Did your Capacity Check -OPJK -Order Control at order level are active for availibilty Check 1 and 2 and assinged Over all Profile ?
Set up :
1.Please assing a operation control key like PP01 where Details Capacity Check and scheduling is active .
2.In CR02-Work centre -Capacity Header -You should have Follow check box marked
1.Releven for Finitie Scheduleing
2.Can be used for multiple Operation
3.
3.OPU3/OPU5 -Define Scheduling paramter -Mark Scheduling and Capcity Check for planned order or production Order
4.In SPRO -Shop Floor Control-Define Production Scheduling Profile -You need to matian the relevent Parameters like
1.Schedueling Automatically 2.Scheduling Log 3.Adjust Scheduling -Basic date , Depedent Requirement date 4.Scheduling Type -Backward etc .
These are all basic level set up beside CRP overall profile and other profile like strategy /time etc which may in place as you are analysing in CM01.

How to dispatch operation to do Capacity Leveling at Work Centre Level :
1.Frist Check the over load at work centre . Goto -CM07/CM05-give plant only -then hit the Stnadard view -You will find weekly or daily baiss load ( Requirement , Avaliable Capcity , Overlaod etc )
2.Check the week in which days you are tring to dipatch -if you selet the week check box and double clik it will show u all the dataiul load .Basde on the available capacity in other week-days u need to dipatch in CM22/CM31 or CM25/CM21
While dipatching in CM22/CM31-Select the Stragegy button on the top header -Mark Date entry when dispatching so that when you select the operation of any production order or planned order for certain work centre , it will pop with window having information of Date , Work Centre , Time .Onec you did this you will receive Scheduling log with certain information .

Hi Vijay,
The main integration between PM & PP is Workcenter. The production workcenter is created as Equipment in the PM module .
The equipment master accomodates two work centers. The Main (maintenance) workcenter and the production workcenter.
The maintenance workcenter is maintained in the location tab, location data screen area. The production center is maintained in the organization tab, Responsibilities screen area..
Eg for Maintenance Workcenter : Fitter , Electrician
Eg for Production Workcenter : Lathe , Conveyor
If there is a maintenance to be performed on the equipment it means that the production workcenter's capacity is not available.

1.AFKO - this is for your basic production header info
2.S022 - this is for your operation header details - operation number, Work centre etc if you are only after the header details such as activity cost based on the activity type assinged at work centre -cost centre ( refer : AFVC or AUFV)
3.AUFK - this is for your order master data - Order released flag, order complete flag, technically complete date, you'll need this to filter out confirmed order with order staus based on JEST table.
4.Work Centre : CRCO-Work centre /cost center relation , CRHD-Work Cenre Header .
5.Discuss with your CO for CO document number

Long-term planning: planning details of work center capacity

Hi,
we need to know what is the effect on planned production orders (generated by MPS, transaction MD40) of the flag “long-term planning” in planning details of work center capacity (table name: RC68K; field name: KAPLPL). We made a test analyzing planned orders scheduling details in Stock requirements list (MD04) and in the Planning table (CM21) in both cases: with "long-term planning" flag set and without this flag for the same work center.
The schedule of planned production order on that work center is the same in the two instance.
Could you suggest us something?

Volume resources & Work Center

Hi experts,
I submit you this question as an old nightmare of mines which raises to me again.
In order to build the best R/3 production model as possible, I would get a way to define a work center as a volume or an area capacity (m2/m3).
The work center types 0014 "Stor. resource" & 0015 "Proc. unit/Stor.res." sound good to me to reach my goal. But after customizing by OP40 the production usage, I am still not able to define a volume capacity for this work center by cr01/cr02 : only capacity type 1 & 2 are allowed with the time dimension.
Who could help me ?
Who could tell me the initial usage in R/3 for the work center types 0014 & 0015 ?
How it works ? For what ?
Who has got a trick to manage a production process with a finite volume resource in R/3 ?

Hi,
When you create a resource (PP-PI work center) with the types 0014 or 0015, an assignment of one storage location is mandatory on basic data view. In addition, the systems checks that the populated storage location has not been already assigned to an other resource. That suits me well as we can imagine to manage the capacity of a physical area by this link.
I still have a doubt before any tests because I don't know what is the consistency of the link between the work center and the storage (/GI /GR /PP conf.), moreover I didn't found any docs on it at the time being.
I would know what can we expect from this link as analysis and results.
It remains a second point about the resource : the correct usage as a capacity for PP and not PP-PI.
The target of this investigation is not to implement PP-PI, it's to fine tune a good PP model.
I'll appreciate if someone who has already used this kind of resource (type 0014/0015) could transfer me the usage. -> Thank in advance to everyone who will add a post in this sense.
But in any way, so far so good, it's just a question of time.

How do I create a new Work Center for the transaction launcher and links

The requirement here is for me to find out if I can create a new Work Center that will contain up to 6 assignment blocks and each block having either links to websites and BW reports, or triggers to R/3 applications via the transaction launcher.
Can I do this purely through customising or do I need to create a new view using BSPs? If I can do it through customising please could I have a few pointers to what component I would need to use/copy?

Just so I understand, if I want to show a work center I need to link it to a component / view? I think this was the original query - do I need a developer to create the view that contains the 6 blocks with their links to reports, transactions and websites? I think when I talk about blocks I mean 1 viewset containing 6 views. There is no SAP standard view that would suit my requirements is there? Even if the work center had 8 views, I can always hide the two views in configuration.
After the developer has created the view, I then reference that component in the target Id in the define logical links section of my work center.
If my understanding is right, then it follows that it is not possible to create a user specific work center without some development.
Is this correct?

All default routing value has to be changed, while changed the work center in production order

our client they want to change the work center in production order.according to production version work center also they are changed.so while change the WC,all the default value has be changed as per routing what we maintained in routing.At present we have to enter the manually change the W.C as well as set up time and operation time enter manually.Any other option to do the automatically capture value from routing while change in Work center in production order.pl help me on this.

Thanks for reply. I am maintained in diff value maintained routing , Ex :First routing i have work center 'X' value maintained as a setup time in 15 Min's and operation time 10 Min's
second work center 'Y' I have maintained as set up time 10 Min's and operation time 30 Min's,
Now I want to change the work center in production order as a 'Y' so whatever value maintained in routing , it has to be changed automatically (10 min's and 30 Min's), but system will not change only old value only picked (15Min's AND 10 Min's).
Now I think you get to know what the client requirement, kindly do the need full.
