Work center creation in PP

Please guide me step by step procedure to create work center in PP module so that if i reference the same in Poduction order it will generate all costs (estimated, planned , actual costs).

Hi,
you can go to transaction CR 01 to create work center put plant work center name and then category of ur work center i.e. machine ,labour,production line 
1. Basic data - general details of ur work center. -- category person responsible and with that standard value key with six parameters
2 default values -- put ur control key,and unit of measurement for ur parameters like min. hour ,second.
3. capacity - here you mention all the details of ur standard capacity details header details and capacity calculation formula
4. scheduling - here you mention ur scheduling formula and standard queue time
5. costing - here you put ur cost center and controlling area with validity period dates and activity types and formula for it
Then save.

  • Creation of person responsible in CR01 (work center creation)

    Hi
    During the creation of work center (CR01). The following details are entered before i get the error message
    1) Work  center and its description
    2)Work center category
    3)Usage
    4)Backflush
    5)Standard value key
    But  i am unable to enter the PERSON RESPONSIBLE field (Message is NO VALUES SELECTED MAINTAIN ENTRIES).... if I am selecting yes with this message  it is routing me to Choose Customizing project.
    Please help me creating person responsible field

    press F4, then for maintain entries press yes
    then enter on continue w/o specifying project
    then it's take u to location
    here double on any or PP work center
    then new entries
    and specify one name here
    then back, back & back
    now u can get the name here
    ADDED
    maintain directly in T-code OP10
    here go for new entries
    give ur plant & person name
    this should solve ur query

  • Work center creation

    please tell me how to create work center required in calibration.
    and when i am trying to do result recoeding second time for same lot.the result field is grey.so how can i do it again.
    also in the inspection lot there is no equipment no.so how can i identify the loty is of which instrument no.?

    Hi Sandip,
    1. W/c category depends upon your reqmt. You can take Machine as a w/c category. Default values, and if reqd. scheduling , cap. details are the data to be fed.
    2.If you want to take single result for no. of euipment, then select summarized result as control indcator. Else select single result.
    If you want to record results once again after you`ve done rr, then select the characteristic in RR screen, and unlock it. Later you can again perform RR.
    3. In QA32, Equipment no. cannot be viewed. It can be known from the Inspection Lot.
    Reward if cleared and close the thread.

    please clarify me on this,
    capacity category under scheduling tab in work center creation is showing as mandatory, but i do not want to maintain this field because iam not putting anything under capacity tab to avoid capacity planning.
    is there anyway to take off it as mandatory under scheduling tab?

    Goto OPFA and select the scheduling and click on influencing and mention the work center category in the field contents and
    press enter and for the field capacity select the radio button for input or else display (remove it from the radio button mentioned
    under required) and press enter and then save the data and now create a new work center for the changes made work
    center category and revert back.

    Hi,
    In OPFA, check the influencing  factor  there may be based on workcenter category they made efficiency rate as mandatory.
    Go to OPFA,click on basic data-then click on influencing,there you will get the contents field.take work cenetr category and check for efficiency rate whether it is mandatory or not.
    like this check for other influencing factors also

    During creation of work center .After all the configuration being done ,in the last page the error message displayed is (ACTIVITY SET CAN NOT BE ALLOCATED TO 2009).
    Some of the major setting done in the last page is
    This is Costing Lab
    1) work Center
    2)Activity description (Like set up, Machine and Labouring)
    3)Selection of activity type
    4)Preferred Unit
    Per
    After this when i save the error message is displayed mentioned above  (Message number is KL008)

    Dear Rupesh,
    1. Please enter the CCtr categories value as "*" in the basic data tab.
    1)in KL02 for this particular activity type give as *
    2. Enter ATyp category field value ar "1" in the basic data tab.
    2) in the field A type mainatin -1
    3. Actl Acty Type Cat field value as "As in planning".
    in this field also mainatin as 1
    YOU MUST SPECIFY A COST ELEMENT FOR ACTIVITY CAT 1
    first creat a cost element in  KA01 (pramairy) & in KA06 (secondry)
    then asiign in KL02 for the required activity types

    Please use the following transaction to create/check the parameters & formulas,
    OP17 - Create formula parameter
    OP19  - Maintain standard value key. (The parameters created are entered in this standard value key & this std value key is used in the work center (CR03) basic data tab page)
    OP21 - Create Formulas
    These formulas are assigned in the capacity, scheduling & costing tab page in the workcenter.
    This workcenter is assigned to an operation in the routing (CA03).

  • Customizing message creation in work center

    Hi all,
    we have to change the layout of the message creation window in work center (Web Dynpro Component: AGS_WORK_INCIDENT_CREATE)
    I've tested the enhancment functionality quite a bit, but i was not able to solve the problem.
    Basically we have to add fields to the layout which correspond to the fields in the support message that should be created.
    Example: The support message (ZLFN) contains a field "approver". This field has to be on the screen when creating a message and the value should transported into the created message.
    Can you please tell me the basic points of how to do that.
    Another way i thought about was linking direct to the blank ZLFN message (coressponding to crmd_order), but i could not find a way to do that. Maybe this is possible?
    Any help would be really appreciated.

  • Some error in creation of Work Center

    Dear Experts,
    After completely creating the project, I tried to check the chart for scheduling, but to my surprise no dates were appearing and the scheduling chart was also not proper. After lots of permutation and combinations I realised that the work center(RENOV) that I created had some effect(or difference) that the dates and duration was not getting picked up from the internal activity tab on project builder(CJ20N) screen.
    Hence I created a new Work Center (Ren1), which was just a copy of another working Work Center. When I used this work center along with my existing activity (ABCD) I could see the duration appearing in the dates tab and my project could also show proper schedule lines.
    I did side by side comparison of the RENOV and REN1, apparently they are alike in appearance. I am curious to know what could be the reason for this anomaly.

  • Automatic creation of work center per new employee

    Dear gurus,
    Is it possible to instantly create Work Centers every time an employee is hired and created via HR module? We consider an employee as "created" when infotypes 0000-0002 are accomplished.
    Work centers in PS are manually done in CNR1.
    The reason for this integration is that the Work Center needs data from HR's personnel master data such as: name and cost center. And it will be tedious to manually create work centers every time a new employee is hired.
    We are thinking this will be done via an ABAP batch input program which just automates the two transactions (PA40 and CNR1). However is there a simpler way to do this? For example, a SAP standard method that we're not seeing?

    Use Dynamic Action to call a Cutsom Routine which will inturn do all the actions required. Take Abaper help ..

    Hi Mozart,
    Maintain Relationship and check the same is flowing in table HRP1001, you can do that in transaction PP01.
    It depends on Org data, infotype. least not last it can be possible through ABAP.
    Check with you HR consultant about this and post the same question in HR forum.
