Work Center in equipment master
Dear All,
We have created equipment master for 1000 palnt and then assigned work center belongs to 1100 palnt.System accepted 1100 plant work center.My requirement is plant number and work center palnt must be same.
You will need to develop something to stop this occuring.

Work Center
Definition:Operations are carried out at a work center. In the R/3 System work centers are business objects that can represent the following real work centers, for example:
Machines, machine groups
Production lines
Assembly work centers
Employees, groups of employees
Use
Together with bills of material and routings, work centers belong to the most important master data in the R/3 production planning and control system. Work centers are used in task list operations and work orders. Task lists are for example routings, maintenance task lists, inspection plans and standard networks. Work orders are created for production, quality assurance, plant maintenance and for the Project System as networks.
Data in work centers is used for
Scheduling
Operating times and formulas are entered in the work center, so that the duration of an operation can be calculated.
Costing
Formulas are entered in the work center, so that the costs of an operation can be calculated. A work center is also assigned to a cost center.
Capacity planning
The available capacity and formulas for calculating capacity requirements are entered in the work center.
Simplifying operation maintenance
Various default values for operations can be entered in the work center.

Please let me know where maintenance work center data for an equipment is stored ...I searched in EQUI/EQUZ ..but could not find ...PP workcennter is there but Maint workcenter is not found in these tables

EQUZ-GEWRK is the work center on organization tab
ILOA-PPSID is the work center on location tab
In each case the work center is stored in a internal format. To find the actual work center / plant, find the CRHD record where OBJID field contains that internal number.

PP work center capacity and link in Equipment master
Dear All
My client has five equipments which he is clubing them into one work center with five capacities. In equipment master i have given for respective equipments i have given PP work center locations but when i create a maint order for one equip then in planning the capacity avalability is affecting the entire work center for ex if the total work on one equip is 12 hrs then only 8 hrs of capcity should be deducted for to day and 4 hrs for tommorow but in plannig all 12 hrs are getting deducted in todays capacity itself.
Pls give some inputs from your experiances

Even if we have more than One Equipments in the same work center, PP-PM integration will work.
This is the standard scenario in any Process Industry or in case of an Assembly line of a Automobile manufacturing industry.
So it should work. Please check the following points again,
1. Assignment of Work Center to Equipment Master
2. System Condition - '0' Not in Operation in Both header as well as against Individual Operations (in Work Order for that Equipment)
3. Work Order has been released.
4. Same Work Center is used in Routing and the same is Planned for a period.
If we have all the above points right, then while dispatching the Production Order system should show the Period of block and should shift/plan the PO accordingly.

Table Link for EQUNR (Eqpt Number) and GEWRK (Main Work Center)
Hello,
I need to fetch the main work center from equipment master. I need a direct table link between the equipment number and mainwork center. We are getting a link of equipment number (EQUNR) to work center (ARBPL) and a link of work center (ARBPL) to main work center (GEWRK). But the problem with this scenario is - main work center is not getting fetched from equipment master once work center is missing.
We want a direct link through some table between EQUNR and GEWRK.

Many a times in such a situation (which I presume exists where no direct link is available between fields); we have 2 clear cut approaches -
Approach 1:
Develop a SAP Query, Functional Area/Infoset, and User Group ( using T code :SQ03,SQ02,SQ01 respectively )
While developing Functional Area feed in these 2 tables (Table 1- equipment number (EQUNR) & work center (ARBPL) and Table 2 - work center (ARBPL) to main work center (GEWRK) with work center (ARBPL) as the Primary Key- bridge to join these 2 tables.
In SAP Query Development; you may take Plant as the Selection Field or any other field as per business requirement to make a search in the query.
Now when you execute this query, you will get a complete Download of (EQUNR),work center (ARBPL) and main work center (GEWRK) in one table.
For SAP Query, you may also approach your ABAP Team Member. This is a cleaner approach than the other one.
Approach 2:
Take SE16 download of the Table 1 and Table 2 and join them in Excel (using vlookup if required).This approach is however limited to the data volume that you have to process.

I had problems in my company now, in the module PM .. at the moment when the settlement is introduced to the imposition of a cost center in the equipment, but now changes are so important that at the time of settlement is introduced wanted to Cost center of Main work center, where I can do that may need guidance from the expert

Though your query is not clear. I want to tell you what I have understood.
Currently the settlement is done & cost is being posted to the cost center of an equipment.
Now you want to settle cost to cost center of work center.
Is this the maintenance work center? or the work center which uses that equipment?
If it's maintenance work center then settlement of cost to it's cost center doesn't support the logic at all. It means that the work is carried out by the work center & the cost is accumulated to it again. How is this possible?
If it't the work center which is in-charge of the equipment then you can enter the cost center assigned to the work center, in equipment master.
With this the requirement can be fulfilled. Also seek help from your finance experts to get the more clarification.

Dear experts,
I face a problem that system get main work center from equipment master data as a default main work center in maintenance plan when creating maintenance plan. however, if main work center in equipment is changed later, the change will not synchronize to related maintenance plan. if work order is generated from maintenance plan, main work order in order is defaulted from maintenance plan instead of updated work center in equipment.
another problem is that, for those orders generated by maintenance plan, the work centers in operations is defaulted from task list in maintenance plan. in most case, work center in task list is dummy. Actually the work is done by work center in equipment master data.
My expectation is how to auto replace the main work center and work center of operations in work order with the one in equipment master data if order is generated by maintenance plan? is there any standard configuration or enhancement/BADi that can help with this requirement?

Sorry - development is the only way.
Another option is to create a batch program that runs before your IP30 run(s) and updates any maintenance items and task lists with the correct work centres.

Estimated Start time in notification based on Time defined in Work center
Hi,
Following Satish post- I am trying to find solution to the same problem so i will appreciate any advise.
When the notification is created ,the estimated start time should be based on priority .This in iteslf is pretty straight & simple. However if the reported time is after work hours or towards the end of work hours or weekends , the estimated start time should be reflected accordingly based on factory calender & work center time schedule.
In other words the estimated start time should fall within the window of work hours available.
Example:
Presume the the working hours for the Organization are 8:00AM to 5:00 PM & a call comes for service at 4:00 PM. Also say , for high priority the defined response time is 5 hours. In such a instance the estimated start date should be set to next day at 11:00 AM.
Appreciate your help for the configuration that need to be done

I think ur talking about notification malfunction start time .. currently it just takes the system date and time by default .. and if you need work center timings i believe first u need the eqpt /F.loc to get the work center data in notificaiton ...
I think u can get these dates can be modified while saving by using user exit : QQMA0014 QM/PM/SM: Checks before saving a notification or BADI IF_EX_NOTIF_EVENT_SAVE , but at the same time the eqpt or F.loc have work center details in master record ...or work center needs to be entered manually in notification ..., pls check up ..

currently i developing a report which requires me to display the work centers and their target and actual hours and costs. I tried using production order link tables but they only show work centers that are related to planned costs. May i know which tables can i refer to, in order to retrieve work centers that contribute to the target costs?

Hello every one,
I need some clarification regarding cost center of technical object. In FI asset number is having one cost center while we have to put one cost center in equipment master. When i settle my order system automaticlly pick the cost center from equipment master. Now i wana know that cost center of asset number and equipment master should be same or it should be different. Kindly provide some guidance on the same.

I am not familiar with the business impact of specifying the same cost center to equipment and asset . i remember there is a porivison in IMG to update the same certain fiels automatically whenever any of the master record is changed.
For ex.if you change the equipment master record ,it will get updated to the asset master record also
As i said earlier it will be better to specify the same cost center in both the cases.kindly take guidance from FICO person also

To track the preventive maintenance work on the equipment itself
Hi Experts,
I have working on the requirement to track the preventive maintenance work on the equipment master data it self.
I have thought of following way of doing it.
1. Create a charateristic "Plan no" having refrence to maintenance plan table & field (MHIS - WARPL)
2. Create a charaterisic "Last completion date" having refrence to maintenance plan table & last date completion field (MHIS - LRMDT)
3.combine these two charateristic in class say "Inspection data"
4.Assign this class to equipment in classification tab
5. Create a maintenance plan , generate order and complete the order.
6. After doing this, these data should updated in charateristic values as given above. But it is not happening.
Am i missing something here. Or can you suggest me other way of doing this.

But the client want the report in a tabular format.

There is one report in classification system that is CL30N in which you can find this kind of report provided the "Last Testing done on " and "maintenance plan no" you have used as charateristics.

Automatic assignment of Main Work Center in WO's

We massively uploaded PM plans and launched the WO's.
Per default the system assigned the Work Center at Equipment level. Any idea how to change this setting?

For output at top go to Order>>>>Mass Change.
There you will get option to change maintenance work center for all order. -
