Hi,
Could any one tell me how to link workcenter in saphcm please.
Is workcenter created by hcm or any other consultant and how and where to link in master data

Hi,
We use the TCode PO01 to Maintain the Work Centers.
We will be assigning the Work Center (A) either to Positon or to the Company directly.
If the Workcenter is assigned to companly, ther employees under that company will also inherit the same work center
Or
We can assign the Work Center to individual employee
For Example
Work Center may be A3F2QWS20
A - Building A
3F - 3rd Floor
2Q - 2nd Quardrent
WS20 - Work Station 20

Trigger when generating/updating a PP resource(work center) in SAP ECC 6.0

Hello, SDN members.
The thing is: I want to mapp when a resource (transaction CRC1 ou CR01) is generated to trigger an interface other Non-SAP System.
I am used to use EXITs or BaDIs to mapp changes when it is about process orders, MRP, etc.
I have been looking around in SAP ECC 6.0 without success.
Does anyone could give me a clue of how can I mapp that? It applies also to updating a Resource (transaction CRC2 or CR02).

My question is that why step 4) doesn't work normally ?

User Exit or DB-Table for Work Center (CR01)

Hi!
I have an external software which must be triggered when the user changes a work center in SAP (transaction CR01,CR02). I was looking for an user exit to do what ever is necessary but I couldn't find one.
So, does anybody know an user exit or BADI for work center?
Also possible:
The database table where work center are stored. So I could poll against this table and check if a work center was changed. I found the table SGOSHIST which log all modified objects in SAP. So this could maybe used to check for modified work center, I think.

How can I check this BADI. If I use SE18, it doas not exist, buit if I try to create it, the system tells me that it already exists in the SAP Original System... and asks me if I want to create a copy of it! I don't know what to do at this point!

I know, but if you change the description of the work center, it is stored in CRTX. there are a lot of CR* tables. It would be helpful to have a table which is updated every time a work center is modified!

Temporary shut down of Work Center

We are taking capacity planning into consideration, and work center is
temporarily shutdown for a period of 12 hrs.
How to capture the temporary shutdown of the work center in SAP, in order
no production orders takes work center into consideration as available capacity during this temporary shut down time
Lastly, if shutdown time is able to capture in SAP, and fixing of work center
is less than 12 hrs (lets assume 8 hrs) How to chance dynamically in orders for the production orders
to consider the work center as available

We have not implemented PM module. As a work around, we created a
dummy production order (without material - c007) and assigned a operation to the
temporary shutdown work center, this production order filled the work center
temp. shutdown time slot (so, other production orders cannot use it)
Other Parameters we considered:
1. Backward Scheduling
2. Basic Finish Date (day on W/C is temp. shut down)
3. Basic Start Date calculated (From Routing Operation Mins)- Routings operation
minutes maintained in par the temporary shut down time
4. Operation costs: 1cent/hr

Here are the steps:
1. have the BI team create a webversion of the report. (not required when calling a query directly
2. create in SPRO --> CRM --> UI Framework --> UI Framework Definition --> Display SAP NetWeaver BI Reports in CRM the reports you want to display
     e.g. BI Report ID         Z_DYBE_GROSS_SALES_CUST_MAT
            Long description              Revenue per customer/materialgroup
            BI Object Type                  HT Template 3.x (depending on your BI version)
            BI Object Key                 ZWCOPALM01_PPS_REVENUE_ARTG_V2
            BI System                      (when using the webtemplate, nothing needs to be filled)
3. create in SPRO --> CRM --> UI Framework --> Technical Role Definition --> Define Navigation Bar Profile
    a. A logical link for each BI report.
       e.g. Logical Link ID ZDB-ACC-DE
              Type    D BI report
              Target ID       DISPLAY
              Parameter       Z_DYBE_GROSS_SALES_CUST_MAT
              Parameter Class CL_CRM_GEN_UI_BI_UTIL
              Icon Name       GC_ICON_REPORTS
              Title           Revenue per customer/mater.

   b. Include in the relevant Report Work Center Link the logical links you have created in step 3.a
      e.g. Group ID        SLS-ACC-RE
             LogLinkID ZDB-ACC-DE position 80
   c. Make sure that your work center link is assigned to the work center
      e.g. Work Center ID SLS-REPORT
             GroupID SLS-ACC-RE position 10
   d. Make sure that your work center is assigned to your navigation bar profile
at this moment the report is linked to a standard workcenter, which can be shown on the webui.
4. In your business role, you need to of course make sure that the flags on the workcenter entries are set on show in menu and directly.
This should give you the complete picture.

Myself Abhinav Chandra , having a PG Degree in HR and a work experience of 8 yrs plus in HR Domain . At presently, I am associated as as Manager - Human Resources with India's 2nd largest Steel Manufacturing organization . My organization is planning to implement SAP HCM module in this May 2015 and I am designated with the responsibility for its implementation in my organization .
Pursuing a career in SAP HCM was always my dream since 3 yrs when had a refresher training in SAP HCM domain in 2012 . Now my question is if after gaining a SAP HCM Implementation experience and a SAP Certification with core HR exp of 8 yrs , how will it benefit in making a career move in SAP.

Hi Abhinav,
First I am very glad to hear that you have sound domain knowldge in HR. So for a person like you SAP Implementation experience will be fantastic advantage. Off course if you wanna do certification on SAP HCM that you can always do but for a person like you who has already sound domain knowldge if you add SAP HCM Implementation experienece in your bucket you are done.
You know the respective HR Processes so thats a big advantage. However following steps would be good for you:
Participate in Requirement Gathering workshop
Participate in Design Process and finalise the design
Try to know the SAP Configuration to some extent
Involve in SAP HCM Process testing
Good amount of involvement in SAP Authorisation issues as well.

Report for work center hours , maintenance order wise for SAP 3.1i version.

We are using older version of SAP, that is SAP 3.1i. Here we don't have any transaction code such as IW47. Is there any other way to get report of work center and work center hours-order wise.

SAP Code to Return Production Order List for a Given Work Center

We are looking for native SAP code (BAPI, BADI, FM, ...) that would take a work center value as a parameter and then return all the production orders that have been assigned to that work center.
We are running 4.7 and do not have access to BAPI's BAPI_PRODORD_GET_LIST or BAPI_PRODORD_GET_DETAIL.
I believe we could write our own BAPI for this but was hoping that SAP had something natively embedded that we just can't find at this point.

Work Center update during work order save (SAP PM) using exit IWO10009

Hi All,
I am updating the work center in the operation record of a work order using exit IWO1009. In the debug, the internal table for operation is updated successfully. But once the processing is done and I see the order though t-code IW33, I couldn't see the updated workcenter. And surprisingly, plant field which I am updating with work center, is getting updated in the operation and I can see this in IW33.

Default employee cost center based on work center

Greetings,
How can I default an employee's home cost center in IT0001 based on their work center assignment?
I've tried linking both the employee's position and their org unit to the work center via CR02. This did create the IT1001 records. The work center does have a corresponding HR work center. I've even tried attaching a cost center to the HR work center with the IT1001-A011 relationship. No luck.
Seems like OM side is doing what it should, but we want to get the work center's cost center in the costing tab over to the employee.
Maybe there's an integration switch that I'm missing somewhere?

Thank you both for your thoughts. We have tried the ZXPADU0x exits, but it appears that SAP will not allow us to change an existing cost center value in IT0001 via defaults. I think this is because SAP wants to always keep OM and PA in sync, based on the A011 relationships in IT1001 on the position or org unit.
In terms of OP42, yes, we have tried adding relationships between the work center and position/org unit and also employee. And also have the cost center linked to the work center on the costing tab. But we're still not able to get that cost center to pull into IT0001.
I'm wondering if the integration between work centers and HCM is limited to relationship links on the OM side?

How do I create a new Work Center for the transaction launcher and links

The requirement here is for me to find out if I can create a new Work Center that will contain up to 6 assignment blocks and each block having either links to websites and BW reports, or triggers to R/3 applications via the transaction launcher.
Can I do this purely through customising or do I need to create a new view using BSPs? If I can do it through customising please could I have a few pointers to what component I would need to use/copy?

Just so I understand, if I want to show a work center I need to link it to a component / view? I think this was the original query - do I need a developer to create the view that contains the 6 blocks with their links to reports, transactions and websites? I think when I talk about blocks I mean 1 viewset containing 6 views. There is no SAP standard view that would suit my requirements is there? Even if the work center had 8 views, I can always hide the two views in configuration.
After the developer has created the view, I then reference that component in the target Id in the define logical links section of my work center.
If my understanding is right, then it follows that it is not possible to create a user specific work center without some development.
Is this correct?

Work center wise production order infomation report

Hi all,
i have a requirement that workcenter wise (with date) production order information with quantity details (plan and actual).
Eg: My production order quantity - 40 nos. (it takes 4 days to finish).
      i have three operation in production order.
      my order scheduled start date - todays date.
In standard, when enter my first operation work center, system showing production order and its quantity (40 nos) . but i need to split that order quantity in report.. means on todays date for particular production order - order quantity = 10 nos.
Clent want like that (with quantity break) report..
Any standard report ???
If customization.... How it can be mapped in SAP.??

This FM get data from the report used by transaction COOIS. If you needed the header data then you can use lt_ioheader table and seperate the data with the date. If you need at operation basis the you can use lt_iosoper table. You can use this FM to create custom report even with the checks like material availability, PRT availability, capacity requirement etc.

We are running solution Manager on a 4.6C system.
Any ideas??

I'm pretty sure you don't run SolMan on 4.6c.. maybe on the same server but certainly not in the same instance
What support package level is your SolMan?

Work Center Block

Hi Experts,
We have one scenario
W/C in PP(wc category m/c) = Equipment in Plant maintenance
Is it possible to block the W/C automatically whenever there is creation of maintenance order for equipment(w/c for PP) so that it is blocked in routing and can not be used in production.

Dear,
You can lock work center. if work center is lock, now production order will be created with locked work center.
If you require that whenever maintenance order created against specific equipment in which locked work center used, system will not allow to create production or production order execution. In SAP Maintenance, there is integration with PP that whenever maintenance order created, system will not allow to execute production order. Kindly consult with you PM consultant in this regard.
