Hi Gurus,
How to view work centre object A wither in organization & staffing or simple maintenance
I assigned workcentre to the position through PP01 but couldn't view in either above.

Hi,
to view the Workcenter with the orgunit create the evaluation path (OOAW tcode)accordingly.
then execute the report RHSTRU00 with the eveluation path.
then you can see the work center..
Try the std Evaluation path

Org managament -Cost Center- Position

Hi Experts,
There is a clarification required, I am creating Jobs,Positions from 01.01.1900 upto 31.12.9999 and the FI consultant has created his Cost centers mentioning the date as 01.04.2009. As se says that I need to mantain the cost center creation dates only 1 year prior to GO-LIVE date.
Now the problem is when I am creating one of the Positions in the Account Assignment tab details and its Cost distribution tab in Org Managment with PPOCE transaction, by assigning the positions relevent Cost Center where he falls to....the system throws and error stating that Cost Center not maintained on 01.01.1900 as it is the matter of that cost centers have been created only from 01.04.2009.
So, now can any of you let me know how myself and FI consultant need to resolve this issue?

Now If I create the Jobs & Position of the date from which Cost Centers have been created in my case 01.04.2009, will I be able to hire an employee with the created Jobs & Positions with previous date like for example an employee is working with Organization from 01.01.2003 till date as when I do hiringaction, system asks me for joining date, so mentioning his joinning date as 01.01.2003 and maintain all the Org data with Account Assignment, Cost Distribution as per the relevent dates.

Work centres for employee of more than one plant

Hello experts
I have a question regarding work centres. Our department is managing a pool of workers which consist of employee from more than one plant. Somebody had made experience concerning this issue?
Furthermore we have to manage external workers as capacity. How can I build up this in SAP?

In organizational structure how to assign work centre.
it is necessary to assign cost centre to org structure.how ?
President has to be given personnel no.?
if employee is reporting to two superiors of different depts or different regions ,how the employee should be placed i.e dual reporting?

1. To assign Work Center the T-code is PO01.
2. Yes. In SAP HR every employee has to be given Personnel Number irrespective of their designations.
3. No its not possible according to me (Gurus Pls correct me too if I am wrong)

Default Relationships in Org Management

Hello All...
I am having a big issue with the defaults of Org Management relationships. For some reason, our installation does NOT allow me to automatically create positions dependent on other positions...like 'is supervised by' relationship between positions. I have tried creating manually, and have checked the IMG for 'allowed relationships' and it shows that a position to position relationship of 'is supervisor of' is available. Any and all help much appreciated...I can't figure out how to automatically do this.

In the ECC6 system I am working with at the moment, it doesn't work that way either. In PPOME I can create a new position from an Org Unit, but not from another position.
Must admit, I have never tried to do that in this or older releases before though. We tend to mostly use Chief positions, so any new positions are just created in the Org Unit and automatically report to the Chief.
I did notice that if I created a new position in PPOME then added the "Reports To" relationship manually (via Go To > Detail object > Enhanced object description), any copies of the positon that I subsequently made in PPOME also got the same "Reports To" relationship created automatically.

Work centre deletion

Hi Experts,
I need some help regarding deletion of work centre.
One of our users trying to delete some work centres, he is sure that these are no longer used. He deleted few successfully and and not able to delete few. These are never meant for time booking. How to trace those workcentres, where they are being used.
I have tried CA80 but could not get any info(object not used)
Can some throw me some light?

like what are the various departments , positions, and who occupies the positions etc.
like these objects have a relationships with other objects like person holds aposition etc.
it is fairly simple.

Hi,
i have a question on Employed by and Works For
Employee A - is employed by Personnel Area 1 & Cost centre 1A,
He works for Personnel Area 2 & Cost Center 2B,
& He is Paid by the Personnel Area which he works for - (Cost Centre 2B),
Org Assignement IT 0001 wont let you Hire Employee unless positions are created in Personnel Area 1,
I know a Solution where Cost Distribution Model is used and iam suggesting my client this model, if some one has a Better Solution, would be interested to know

Yeah did use It0027 infotype, it helps but client is not keen on using this as it involves lot of maintenence as they deal with thousands of employees,
was wondering if there is a diff solution available for this, probably if matrix can solve this problem would be glad to use it,

Using the data maintained for a work center, you can
determine which machines or people are to be used in the operations
calculate costs, capacities and dates for the operations
OP42 - Configure the default value for Work Center during the initial creation.
After creating many work center in the Routing, the users might want to check what materials and components allocation have been updated with this work center. You can used this program Work Center in Routing - Search through all the routing for the material and component allocation used.
The standard program transaction CA80, checks where the work center was used in the routing. However, it did not list the components allocation for the work center.
Pooled Capacity field - When a production order 1234567 has the capacity requirement on its work center Wxxxxx. It means it has the requirement on pooled capacity Pxxxxx. If more than one work center shared this pooled capacity, the requirement (transaction CM01) will be shown on all the work center with the SAME shared pooled capacity.
In HR system we will the cost per each Work Center level. This work center we can assing org unit leave or postion level also.
Please revet back further clarifications.

HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA assignment to org management

Hello,
i hope that someone can help me with my problem.
i use HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA to create a new employee.
it works fine except one thing.
when i do PA40 by hand it does the connection to the org management automatically.
if i use the FB the person is created, but there is no assignment in the org management.
i pass the parameter plans.

Operations are carried out at a work center. In the R/3 System work centers are business objects that can represent the following real work centers, for example:

Production lines
Assembly work centers
Employees, groups of employees

Together with bills of material and routings, work centers belong to the most important master data in the R/3 production planning and control system. Work centers are used in task list operations and work orders. Task lists are for example routings, maintenance task lists, inspection plans and standard networks. Work orders are created for production, quality assurance, plant maintenance and for the Project System as networks.
Data in work centers is used for
Scheduling
Operating times and formulas are entered in the work center, so that the duration of an operation can be calculated.
Costing

Work Center - represents a unit that is capable of performing work. It can be a group of person, equipment and special resources used to MANAGE the work order and/or PERFORM work order operations during maintenance execution. It can be used to model a resource availability within the organisation. There are 2 types, Main Work Center (responsible for overall managemetn of the work) and Operational Work Center (executes the operation activities).
Planner Group - represents a person or group of persons responsible for the PLANNING and PROCESSING of several maintenance Work Orders.

Trouble generating Org Managment Report

When I want to send to the workplace an org management report generated with the transaction S_AHR_61016494 the positions are visualized by characters like \n.

I have gone back through and scoured the code.
Here is what I am finding. If I take out the option for either/or completely and specify 'xls' only, it works fine.
When I put back in the option of either PDF or Excel, it forces a PDF no matter what I select.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Hi,
You can assign the Cost Center either to Org unit or to Position using the Infotype Activity Allocation 1008.
During the creation of Org structure itself, you can define the activity allocation.
