Work Clearance Management ERROR

Hi,
I have configured WCM, now I have generated Maintenance Order and have also issued Permit against the same, now when i click WC Application in IW32 then click create, it is giving this ERROR --Error during loop using the internal table (L_WCCLTAB), Error when executing function (WCFC_WCVLTAB_GET).

Hello,
I expect this is due to incomplete WCM print configuration.
Check IMG path: Work Clearance Management - Master Data - Print Control.

Work Clearance Management (WCM) not available with ECC 6.0

Hi All,
Work Clearance Management (WCM) is a part of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM). It is a standard functionality. This is not available with our installed version of ECC 6.0 system.
The navigation should be
SAP Easy Access > Logistics > Plant Maintenance > Work Clearance Management.
This is also not available on SPRO.
But whenever we directly enter the T Code related to WCM, it allows me to go to that screen. But if we want to customize the WCM using the same method then the SAP standard configuration is missing.
I need to get this functionality available on our system.
Is it a part of SAP software component SAP_APPL ?
But how do I get this ?
Can anyone pls help me on this ?

I think that WCM it's present as an extension set (i'm not quite sure if is EA-PLM or EA-SCM). When you configure it, the activities related in custominizg, will appear as well.

Where can i find functionality info on Plant Maintenance and Work Clearance Management. How can these functionalities be activated - is there a switch?

Work clearance management tab not displaying

Hi all,
As per my knowledge under SAP menu under plant maintenance there comes a link for work clearance management after Information system.
But its not showing in my system.What could be the reason for it.

Hi Vivek,
This is add on component in SAP , need to activate the WCM component.It will not appear in the sap easy access screen until it is activated.
Ask your basis team to activate the WCM component, then only you can see the WCM nodes.
Transaction Code for activation of add on components in SAP is SFW5

Hi Shikha,
I require the setting that u have done.
Please check two more things
1. for the permits that u created thro IPMD have u done the settings for WCM -> Approvals -> Enhancements . This node is necessary. It might be that u have not maintained assign approval having automatic assignment tick.
2. If u have done above setting please confirm the permit categoris that u r using for the permits, are they same??

Hi Florian,
This is a brand new functionlaity. I am 99% sure there is no experience in this area. Not sure what documents are publicly available. If you tell me what you have I can check if I have any more documentation and mail it to you.
To make it work - as far as I remember it is a usual add-on to MAM that you deploy similar to gis or signature capture.

Approvals in WCM-objects are derived from the master record of the reference object or from the maintance order, that is assigned to the work clearance application.

In the configuration the approvals are mandatory; also the tables WCALA and WCALQ have the entries for the respective documents.
I tried to replicate one scenario wherein the work approval is red and the rest of the documents (work applicationa nd WCD) are green. I could achieve by revoking the permit using the traffic light. I am not able to replicate the other scenarios, though.
Please let me know your observations; my hunch is that after completing the tagging process the user is trying to fiddle with the permit.

Error in Work Clearance Management

Hello Team,
In my client's system; there are certain cases of Work Approval with WCDs, wherein the status is PREP CLSD (Prepared and CLosed) and the traffic light is not green for all the documents.
I have listed the scenarios below for your reference:
The WCM used is Enhanced model and they ahve customized by using an exit for closing the approval to enter some adminstrative data.
I would like to know how these scenarios have been achieved and how they can be rectified if possible.
I am new to WCM and hence I would appreciate your kind help in this matter.

Work Group Manager ERROR when trying to create a group

i have the following hardware:
Model Name: Xserve G5
Model Identifier: RackMac3,1
Processor Name: PowerPC G5 (3.1)
Processor Speed: 2.3 GHz
Number Of CPUs: 2
L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB
Memory: 6 GB
Bus Speed: 1.15 GHz
Boot ROM Version: 5.1.7f2
i have server admin setup on this machine, this machine is bound to AD
When i open up WGM and go to groups and try to create a group i receive the following error...
Got Unexpected error
Error of type eDSNoStdMappingAvailable (-14140) on line 1189 of /SourceCache/WorkgroupManager/WorkgroupManager-319.2.2/PMMUGMainView.mm
I have no idea where to start with this..

Just to be clear - what domain are you trying to create the group in?
Are you trying to create an AD via WGM because you can't feed changes upwards to AD.
If you're trying to create a group either locally or in OD then that should work as long as you are authenticated. One gotcha in OD is that you can't create a group with the same name as the AD you are bound to but I'm pretty sure trying to do that gives you an intelligible error.

PM-WCM Work Clearance Management transactions vu00EDa Web Dynpro

Hi All,
We are facing the task of exposing WCM functionality vía Web using Web Dynpro. WD Java needs RFC functions to access ERP data.
We have some problems because there is no API (SE37 RFC Function Modules) for WCM objects.
There are some function groups WC*, but are dynpro oriented and many are not useful to Web Dynpro.
Any experience in similar tasks related to WCM would be of much help.

BAPI for Work Clearance Management

Hi All,
Our client wants to replace the 'BDCs with call transaction' with BAPIs. I am unable to find the proper BAPIs for the following transactions.
WCR4,
WCT7,
WCT8.
It would be a great help if someone provide any pointers regarding this.

Work clearance management question

Hi experts
when I create a wc application,I found the indicator light was green, and it shows "all approvals are issued".
but I have read the sap wcm help and found the indicator light should be red, need to assign the permit.
I don't know if my description is correct,can anyone give some suggestion?

please see the following definitions:
Symbolization of the Approval Status
Progress in the issuing of approvals is symbolized by traffic lights. You can determine exactly which approval has an influence on the traffic lights. Through this you have, for example, in list overviews a quick overview of the progress of the approval process.
The colors of the traffic lights have the following meaning:
red - No (traffic light relevant) approval is issued.
yellow - At least one (traffic light relevant) approval is issued.
green - All (traffic light relevant) approvals are issued.
Check the customizing settings of your approvals? Are they really traffic light relevant? If yes, why they are issued? Check the prerequisites for issuing these approvals.

Not issue permits until wcd(work clearance document) is tagged(issue is related to wcm)

I believe your requirement is that:
no Approvals can be given on the WCA, until the WCD is in Tagged status ETG at least
(and can have the relevant Approval?)
To achieve this, you must define a Cross-Document Approval Process and an Approval Hierarchy.
Create an approval such as "Tagged" in IPMD and assign it to the WA and WD objects under SPRO > Plant Maintenance and Customer Service > Work Clearance Management > Approvals > Assign Approval
Create this Approval as "Mandatory", "Copy Automatically", "Issue Automatically" in IPMD.
Under same parent node, Define Hierarchy for Approvals in such a way that the other Approvals you want to grant after Tagging only have a hierarchy level higher than "Tagged".
Under same parent node, define Cross-document Approval Process, assigning the Approval "Tagged" to WA and WD, marking it as relevant to the process and set the process direction as going down from WA.
This should allow you to meet this requirement, I think.
You could also look at the node SPRO > Plant Maintenance and Customer Service > Work Clearance Management > Approvals > Block Issuing of Approvals > Define Dependent on System Status
but I think it does not check the status cross-document, which is what you require.
N.B. I think that actually if you have access to an IDES system, looking at the WCM setup for Plant 1000 there might be very helpful to you.
