We need the following cases clarified for a requirment related to IDOC
Case1: Whether 2 or more work items can exists in a single IDOC No
Case 2: Whether a same work item can exist in more than 1 IDOC No
Case 3: Which of the following status among the below are considered as closed or open.
a - Waiting
b- Ready
c - Selected
d- Started
e - Error
f - Committed
g - Cancelled
h - Checked

Possible- since the a segment can have many children segments.
Case 2: Whether a same work item can exist in more than 1 IDOC No
Not possible if the node is a root, but if it is any leaf node than possible.
Case 3: Which of the following status among the below are considered as closed or open.
OPEN
a - Waiting
b- Ready
c - Selected
d- Started
CLOSED
e - Error
f - Committed
g - Cancelled
h - Checked

FOC item relation with standard item

Hi All,
I am new to SAP SD. I have small doubt related to FOC item relation with standard item. When i enter standard item in sales order automatically free of charge item coming as sub item.
Please tell me where do we create link between standard item and FOC item so that once standard item entered in sales order automatically free item will come into sales order.

If I am understanding you correctly, you will maintain this using VOV4
go to your order type
find the Item category from the material master for the material you are using (NORM,DIEN,etc)
enter your high level item category for sales order (standard Item) (item categories that are defined in VOV7)
then enter your default item category for sales order (sub items)

look at business workflow -> development -> administration -> workflow runtime .
here you have several possibilities
SWPR to restart after error
SWI2_DIAG for diagnostics
SWI2_FREQ to see the details
SWWERRE_DEBUG to debug

The document header/item relation with a depending object, such as tolerance, is through a third table, CRMD_LINK. So,
CRMD_ORDERADM_I-GUID <=> CRMD_LINK-GUID_HI
CRMD_LINK-GUID_SET <=> BBP_PDTOL-SET_GUID

Change in Work item Text for Approval Workflow WS14000133

Hi,
I need to change the work item text for Shopping Cart Approval Workflow WS14000133.
I have created an Attribute in Business Object BUS2121 and called the same attribute in work item text.
In PFTC -> Redefine Work item text - > and i have defined the work item text as well called the attribute from the container.
what the problem over here is - when I am passing the attribute in the work item text in the task, I am unable to see the work item text with the Dynamic Attribute but I am able to see the work item alone (not with the Dynamic attribut)
But when i debug the workflow from SWI1 then i can see the dynamic attribute in the Container of the workflow but nt in the approver's inbox in portal..
Can you please tell me - that why is this a strange behaviour that i can see the Dynamic attributed created initially in the workflow container of the Business Object but nt in the Approvers inbox either in Backend nor in the front end...

One of the user is unable to remove obsolete Tags from new work items and search query

Hi I am new to TFS Administration, User has some obsolete Tags in TFS site which is removed on the Backlogs but user can see those tags when he is creating new work items and while querying the Work Items but he is not able to see any obsolete tags in Backlogs.
TFS version: TFS 2013 SP2
Steps followed:
we queried each tags, we see 0 work items associated with the tags
As per MSDN, we have to remove associated tags which automatically removes the Tags after 3 days
The user is facing the same from past week
Am i missing something? or will the list of Tags be available in new work items and querying WITs? Please help

I tested this scenario in my TFS 2013 Update 4 Server, and found that Tags will disappear from Tags dropdown list automatically after serverl days, if there’s no any work item associated that Tags.

RSWUWFML2 - Ready status of work item??

Hi - Here is the story...
R/3 Enterprise, SAP_BASIS = 620, SAPKB62038
SAP_ABA = 620, SAPKA62038
My workflow sends out a user-decision step to an agent. This work item is in "In-Process" status. My requirement made me decide to schedule RSWUWFML2 & send a notification mail to the internet address of this agent.
Problem : When I debugged RSWUWFML2, found it selects work items only with status = "READY". Hence my work items of the above workflow never get picked up. Has any one faced this? And what was the solution you adopted or you recommend here?

Sorry - but it's working as designed
The reason for this is, whenever a workitem is in status in-process the agent has opened the workitem, so he should know that he has received it Thats why the report won't send a notification to this agent.
If you won't accept this limitation you need to create your own copy of the report.

Identifying pending work items and sending emails to persons responsible.

Can you please provide the database table where i can get the status of the work item along with the user/person responsible to act on that work item.
Basically the requirement is to send emails to outlook of employees having pending work items in their SAP inbox.

Using this FM SAP_WAPI_CREATE_WORKLIST, you can get all workitems with status(STATUSTEXT,columname).
May be this will work for you.

Delete parked document with IDOC related

*I have a case with FI parked document and there's a related IDOC, user try to delete parked document but get authorization not acceptable outside workflow.*
*i have checked the IDOC and found that the work log is empty with 0000000 values*

HI,
I am not aware of any program or tcode to delete idocs in sap. However, idocs can be archived depending on the idoc status.
The configuration is in transaction code WE47.
- Check the idoc status in WE47 to see if the idoc can be archived.
- We need to run archive program to archive the existing idoc.

Problem with executing work item from the inbox

Hello All,
I'm able to send mails from R/3 to Outlook along with the attachment to execute the work item directly from the outlook.
However upon clicking the Exectute work Item.sap file I get an sap gui popup with the description " Not all data for SAP GUI shortcut is available. System description and GUI start parameter are unknown. Entering the missing data."
Clicking on the OK button, leads to another window for SAP logon details. After I chose the right system and on Clicking OK, it opens up the logon prompt. Entering the logo info opens up the work item correctly.
We are on ECC 5.0 with SAP GUI 640 patch level 18 on it. Any suggestions about what am I missing to directly jump into an sap screen provided a session already is open in SAP.

Hello Uday,
Sounds like something is wrong in the SAPLogon on the client PC. The system sends out a shortcut, and when it's opened it does not relate to a unique entry in the saplogon. Either it's called differently or you have two entries for the same system with different parameters.

Work items creating for GoodsMovement IDOCS

Hi Friends,
We have IDOC to File and File to IDOC scenario, we are able to post GRN files into SAP successfully, but for some idocs , work items are creating for some line items where there is error . After analysis we have come to know that there is some error in article or price is missing.
what i would like to know is instead of creating idoc for some items success and some with work items ,can we restrict if there is error in any line item.
for example:
let us say if i have one GRN file with 10 line items.when i post this File into SAP .. It post 7 items as success and for 3 items it creates workitems.
1) Is there anyway i can restrict the entire idoc , instead of posting 7 items once and after re-processing 3 items in second one.?
2) how to avoid creating work items?
one more thing I have created a backgrounduser for PI while posting to SAP. Some articles are showing as article is locked by piuser.
can anyone suggest how to overcome this..

What is the Message type / IDOC type your are using? You should be able to create one single IDOC with multiple line items instead of one IDOC for each item, provided the header information for the material document is the same for all the line items. In most cases this is possible.
Check your mapping in XI and see if you can club all the items in one single IDOC. Doing so will also prevent the material locked issue. But, point to note with this design is that you will be penalizing good records in your file just because one line item was in error.

Creating Work Flow Item for inbound Idocs

Hi experts,
I'm just trying to create a work item in sap inbox when inbound idoc fails and gets the status 51 .Documentation says no need for any extra setup,it works with standard SAP tasks & Idoc system process codes which are all preconfigured.
I'm assiginig a user id in the partner profile.I do get a work item when there is syntax error in the inbound idoc segments(like wrong sequence of segments...), but not when idoc fails,due to idoc errors.Am i missing something.Users want a workitem when it fails,so they can reprocee/edit etc.Please help.

Collect Idocs - Work Item Execution Time

I have created an integration process that includes a collect process which follows the BpmPatternCollectTime pattern. Everything works great. I have one question though. When monitoring the process in SXMB_MONI and looking at the technical details for the collect block work item the execution time continues to grow, despite the work item having a status of completed with a creation date and latest end date. Why does this work item's execution time continue to grow, despite being in a completed status? Will this cause a problem? Does the SWWCLEAR job clean this up? I don't want to have workflow items out there with execution times climbing into days. I fear that will cause a performance issue, even though they show as completed status. By the way, this is in a PI 7.1 environment.

the point is that BPM is the worst approach out of those 5 and all other 4
can easily replace your BPM IDOC collect pattern
this way not only the vendor's system will work more efficienlty but also yours
but you will do as you like/prefare and you can come back
to the forum everytime you get an issue with a BPM - no problem
