Work on .an files on different computers

I created an animation in Edge on my PC. Later when I went to continue working on the file on my laptop, it would not load, and I got an error message sating that the .an file could not load as the associated html file could not be found, even though it is in the same directory. I aso tried copying the whole directory to my laptop, and received the same error essage.
Does this mean that you can only work on edge file on the same computer they are created on, or is there something I have missed?

EA projects are cross-platform/system compatible. As long as the entire project folder is included (including all sub-folders) in the same hierarchy, you should be able to open an Edge Animate .an file from any system that has EA installed without error.
However, there have been sine cases where an error is raised when doing exactly this. The solution has been to open the HTML file in EA instead, and then save, which updates the EA file.

OEM means "Original Equipment Manufacturer", or in your case, Canon (not Adobe) is providing the software. It is identical to what you can buy from Adobe. It is the full version (that's the only version of Lightroom that exists)
Transfer files between different computers ... this is not a function of Lightroom. Lightroom neither helps nor prevents you from transferring files from one computer to another.

Syncing Creative Cloud files on different computers

How to share a GB file between different computers (using dropbox).

Me and a friend are trying to share Garageband '09 files using a shared folder with dropbox. He saves a .band file and then saves it to the shared folder. After it loads on my side I open it, but it is empty. Does GB even have this capability? Can it save a file with no dependencies? I do not want to export to mp3 or other format. I am trying to share the actual GB file. I don't want to zip or archive at all. We have the space and the forum for sharing, I just need to know how to save it properly in GB, if GB even has this capability. If not, does Logic Express?

You should be able to save the file with no (external) dependencies and share the actual GB file. The .band file is actually a collection of components.
Why not Save As Archive and Zip it? It might travel better when zipped. It can be unzipped and reconstituted upon receipt.

Adobe Presenter: working from different computers transferring files

I am using Adobe presenter. I need to work from home, so have copied my powerpoint and all its associated adobe presenter audio files from one location to another. I used to be able to do this without problems. However, it seems I'm no longer able to do it: I open powerpoint and go to the adobe presenter toolbar and try to record more audio and clearly the system shows no audio is associated with this file. Getting out of adobe presenter makes the system delete the folder with associated audio files (it seems it is not linking them properly, but still recognising them as adobe presenter audio files and deleting them as if to start recording from scratch).
Can anyone help? how can I work on the same files from different computers without losing the data (or the links) in between?

Hi folks
One way to achieve this easily is by using DropBox. This will create a folder that you sync to the cloud. Then you create a Dropbox on the second computer and whatever you change and save is automatically updated and transferred to the other computer keeping them in sync. Works really well.

Hi, I am working with sound files and I have the files in different computers. Then they have to be Synchronized for being played at the same time. I work with Players(it�s an imported javax class to work with sounds), and I have done the synchro of different sounds, but in the same computer. I don�t know if the synchro is able to be done between different computers..and using RMI..

The first question is how close a synchronization do you need?
The basic problem is that the two machines aren't running the same CPU clock, so you can't synchronize them any more precisely than what you can achieve via a time agreement protocol and/or frequent interchanges over the network, which introduce their own problems of course.

How do multiple users on different computers work on an Indesign file?

Do we work on it on the Cloud and only one license is needed for same project? Do we need multiple licenses for different computers working on the same file? If I buy Indesign, will I be the only person who can access the software from my computer?

What is the best way to work on the same InDesign file in different locations?

I'm the creative director for an in-house creative department. We produce 37 catalogs and a multitude of print and electronic advertising each year, plus a variety of other items. Our problem is that we have two locations. In the current set-up, if I want someone at one location to work on a project but the files are at the other location, I have someone at the one location package all the materials involved with that project and either upload them to DropBox or copy them to an external drive and ship it. Not very efficient.
We have servers at both locations but there are different files at each location. I'm able to remote from my computer into a computer at the other location, but if everyone were to do that we would need double the number of CC subscriptions and computers, and it would bog down the internet connection that the entire company uses. I'm also connected to the server at the other location (again, over the internet) and have opened InDesign files that reside on the server there and tried to work on them here (over the internet) but that is much slower than remoting in.
The only way I can think of to alleviate this problem is to run duplicate servers at each location, but this would be an update and back-up nightmare (unless I'm missing something). Is anyone operating this same way and, if so, how are you dealing with it?
We can't be the only company that works like this. Maybe I'm just missing something.

One tiny thing bothers me about your setup. And you said it above, you would need double the number of CC subscriptions and computers. Are you using two people to access under the same CC subscription. Even if they are working in two different time zones, it is technically violating the rules and spirit of the rules of being able to install on two machines at the same time.
You're allowed to install for two machines for one person working at the office and then at home. One person wouldn't be in two different locations at the same time.
Meanwhile, regards your problem, I remember reading about a system many years ago that was pretty simple. It was based on an old newspaper/magaizine system of "who has the folder." (Created before computers) In the old days, if someone was working on a file, they left a folder with their name in its place.
In the computer age, one person, working on a file, would move it to their desktop. Then, they would leave an empty folder with that document's name where it had been as well as their initials. So if I took "Shoes and Socks Fall 2015.indd" out, I would leave a folder named "Shoes and Socks Fall 2015_smsc" in its place.
And if it was necessary for me to have the images, I would make a copy of them onto my machine so I wouldn't tax the network. Then when I was finished, I would copy the file back to the server. The links should show up. If not, we could relink later.
With the empty folder on the server, anyone could tell who is working on a project. So if they were late getting it back, you could email them.
It relies on the people being disciplined enough to make the folders, move the docs, etc. But since you've ruled out all the systems for companies with dumb employees, you're going to have to make them follow the rules.

Linked files broken in Photoshop CC 2014 when working in the cloud across multiple computers (PC and Mac)

I'm using the new linked file option in Photoshop CC 2014, which is great. I'm working with my files in the cloud, however because I'm working on both a PC and Mac it breaks them links every time I save the file. Is there a way around this?

Hi, yes I'm having the same issue. The problem is that Adobe is not correctly connecting the linked files. They are using absolute paths user/folder/folder this is just crazy and I hope they fix this.
Changing this will fix our issue.
I'm a professional web designer and I find the use of linked items really good. My workflow consists of creating a UI folder with different elements linked into photoshop documents saved in another folder.
UI - elements
Front page folder
Second page folder
etc.
Moving these folders is impossible. Making my life really hard.
Moving them to a network drive doesn't seem an option when you need to link all the files again, for each doc.
Adobe kudos on the idea now fix the paths so this is usable across computers.

Under the directions for how to burn a DVD from an disk image, the Apple Help document (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93006) says this:
"Note: When burning a disc from a disk image, the burned disc will have the same format as the disk image. If you need a disc that will work on different computers, burn the disc in the Finder."
Does this mean that the DVDs that I am burning from the disk image won't be able to be played on a PC? a Mac other than mine? Neither? WHAT? I am planning to sell the DVDs of a workshop I present -- to people who may be playing them on PCs. Should I not be using this method (burning from a disk image) to burn my DVDs?

Video DVDs are in the UDF format. The disk image you created is in the UDF format. When you use Disk Utility to burn the disk image to writable media, the new discs will be in UDF format and all will be well.
You are doing things correctly.
BTW, unless you have an external burner with lots of cooling, if you expect to use the burner in your Mac (which DOESN'T have lots of cooling), it's a good idea to pause between discs to allow the burner to cool down. (BTW, this comment is based on the reported results of several people in the forum. If you don't allow the cool down timer, you will start to create 'bad' discs. Also it is VERY important that you reduce the burn speed in Disk Utility to 4x or lower in order to create discs with maximum compatability with players. (You should see a way to change the speed in Disk Utility afterr you have inserted a disc.)

Perhaps the reason you haven't had any replies is because there is no such thing as an 8GB iPod Classic.
