Work Order Cost/Planned data by Activity Type

Does anyone know the cube that would contain planned and actual cost for work orders using the work order activity type (AUFK-ILART)
Will reward points as always.

my prob. started during cost cal. in prod. order first error was version 0 not maintained for fiscal year 2007, THEN i maintained it in the path as told by you T code OKEQ.
but after that error changed to CONTROL DATA FOR ACTIVITY TYPE NOT MAINTAINED ( 1000/4230/1420)
i maintained data in kp26, but the error is still coming
pl. suggest some solution as i am not able to proceed further.

Work Order Costs

Hi Experts!!
We need a report on the work order costs, however, we have some non-valuated materials in the components list. We are trying to pull the costs of the non-valuated materials from the Purchase Info Records and show that costs as part of the Warehouse Issues Actual cost. I thought this would be a custom report - Please let me know if any standard report is available or any way of tweaking the standard report.
Also I am able to see the Actual/Planned costs of the order on iw33 costs tab. I am trying to find out if there is any standard FM that i could use to get the work order costs. Also is there any infosets that i could use to pull the data for the jobs costs in my custom report.

Hi,
Have a look at transaction IW3M(Goods movement for order),It might be easier to modify this to pick up the Last PO price (Or Info rec price) for the non valuated materials.
Have a look at FM PM_WORKORDER_COSTS_LIST this will list out the costs at the value category level and also show the total costs, very similar to what IW33 shows.
The costing information can be picked up from table PMCO.

Order cost plan in report CN41N

Hi Gurus,
Would appreciate if any one of share what is 'Order Cost Plan" in report CN41N.
Infact, the values displayed in Order cost plan column neither coincide with either Project Cost Plan nor Actual cost displayed.

Hi PSR,
Order Cost Plan in CN41N is PM Order Plan Costs figure.
If you create PM Order and assign WBS Element/Project Def in Additional Data Tab of PM Order after planning Material services system will consider WBSE as Costing object and Plan and Post cost on WBSE. It will appears in CN41N in Order Cost Plan column.

Want to change the cost element for a activity type (KP26)

Hi,
I want to change the Allocation cost element for an activity type in KP26. I have already changed the cost element in the activity master data in KL02. Now i want to change it in KP26. I am trying to delete the existing line item in KP26 to create the new line item with the new cost element, but system not allowing to delete the existing one. It throws the error message ""Allocations with XXXXXXX/XXXX (Cost center/Activity type) exist ; deletion not possible". Can someone please help me to change the cost element?

Thanx for you people for helping me. i havin gone doubt here. If i am deleting the existing line in KP26 and create new line with appropriage cost element will it be cause the existing datas? I don't want to go for another activity type, because our process is a complex process exist all over the world in more than 300 company codes. So i want to use the existing activity type but want to change the allocation cost element alone. Is there any possibility to change the cost element alone?

Use of field 'StartPoint' in work order operation's 'Dates' tab

Can someone please explain me on the uase of field 'StartPoint' on work order operation's Dates tab.

Start point will be used in case of scheduling for the operation.
By mentioning the condition & date, while doing automatic scheduling, system will change the start date of the operation & correspondingly finish date.
Note: This will work only when Automatic scheduling is ticked for the control key.

Actually When you want to change planned date of the activity?
If it is during the processing of the activity, you can do it by two methods
1)Either by using a call back function module configured in CRMV_EVENT transaction. In this function module read the date using CRM_order_READ FM to read ET_APPOINTMENT table.
Then use CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN to change to change the date.
2) use the BADI order_save and implement the method CHANGE_BEFORE_UPDATE and put the same logic.
OR
if you want to do it externally, use the BAPI BAPI_ACTIVITYCRM_CHANGEMULTI to change the activity dates.

Work Order & Cost Center Commitment Management

We have a business requirement to be able to view our work order commitments (Reqs and POs) from the work order as well as from the cost center assigned to the work order via a settlement rule. Our business users do not like the work order collecting all of the costs instead of the cost center where they perform their cost controlling.
The actuals will settle to the cost center eventually but without the commitments they have no way of planning for future costs. Commitments management is activated for both the cost centers and work orders involved. I am open to any suggestions on how to achive this requirement. Thanks!

Arrange members in hierarchical order in planning data form

I am trying to hierarchically arrange the dimension members in row of a data form.
Assume the following hierarchy
Parent1
--- Child 11
--- Child 12
Parent2
--- Child 21
--- Child 22
When I place this dimension in the row of a Hyperion planning data form and select "honor hierarchy", the members are arranged in reverse order.
--- Child 11
--- Child 12
Parent1
--- Child 21
--- Child 22
Parent2
How do i arrange them such that the parent appears above the child ?

We had a similar issue with & in smarlist and patch .502 fixed it. However i put in your memeber "Cost per Minor Suite Turn (< 5K)" in the .502 environment and i saw the same issue: where "Cost per Minor Suite Turn (< 5K)" cuts off to Cost per Minor Suite Turn (
and i tried just "Cost per Minor Suite Turn < 5K" and it provided this Cost per Minor Suite Turn.
We also have a 11.1.2.4 environment i tried it in there and the same issue exsits. And i guess the only work around is spelling it out because that is what they told us regarding the & in smarlists.

Indirect costs allocated to specific activity type

I am trying to take costs from an indorect cost centre, and based on cost element groups, post it into a specific (production) cost centre activity type.
(I know the best way to do this is with KSCB, but the users entered thewrong master data in KP26, so it is either finding another solution, or recreate all the cost centres, with everything that that implies....)
Currently I am assessing using separate secondaries for each activity type. But because they are secondaries, I cannot get them included into specific activities via KP06 at the direct production cost centre. Alternatively I am trying to get the spliiting to link the secondary to a specific activity type, but I am not getting that working.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Change validity end date on activity type

Is there a way to change the validity end date of an activity typre. Currently it is 9999 we would like to change it to 2011.
We would like to use a particular activity to cost current standards but dont want to use it for planned estimates that we will create for 2011. I am assuming if the validity ends in 2011 it will resolve the problem. I know we could create alternate routings and different production version but I am trying to avoid that and see if we can find a short cut.

I executed the report but it says ,"The deletion could not be carried out, plan records still exict on cost center for activity type." I have deleted every thing from kp26 for that particular combination of activity type and Cost center.
Any ideas as to what is happening!!

How to regenerate COSS table for work order operation planning hours

Hello,
I am looking for a SAP report or a custom solution to update the table COSS table from work order operation hours. Several work orders incorrectly updated in the table COSS with result the cost is incorrect.
For example: In the work order opertions, I have planned 2.5 hrs and in the table COSS it is 1.5.

It is quite simple actually.
As soon as your array exceeds SDU (defaults to 2048), sqlnet will fragment the packet. (see: sqlnet more data to client messages in your trace file)
As soon as the packet is bigger than your NICs MTU, the NIC will fragment the packet.
So, depending on the number of bytes for 1 record, high array size make sense or don't make sense.
And ideally SDU should be a multiple of MTU.
So do high arraysizes make sense? Usually not.

Then object currency for network activity                   field AFVGD-OWAER is                            u201CEURu201D
For Material planning in networks Currency Key     field TKA01-WAERS is                               u201CCHFu201D
Before reporting, I would like see the above currencies as equal using CJ20N.

Work Order Basic Start Date and Basic Finish Date to be changed

Hi,
Currently the business creates work orders without specifying the work resulting which the start and fish dates on work order are same. Also we have automatic scheduling turned off. In spite of this If I am trying to manual modify the basic start and basic finish dates on work order it does not allow me to do so. This issue is seen with work orders which are Released whereas orders with status outstanding have no issues. Could anyone please let me know what could be the reason?

Please check whether Scheduling type only capacity requirement is configured.
If yes, choose this scheduling type in order, you can able to change Basic start date & basic finish date.

Exporting data of activity type 'FormSubmit' failed

Hi all,
I'm trying to export activity data out by Bulk APIs.
But when using activity type 'FormSubmit', I get Sync status 'error' with message as following:
