Work Order field define and display in Operation TAB

I have a question about the user field define in work order's operation:
I define the user field in the standard IMG for operation's Enhancemen use. but the field can only display in the operation's details' Enhancemen Screen.
What I want is the User field can display in the Operation list screen.
BTW:what does the Equipment numnber in Operation TAB 's meaning

Reference Object to Refresh Work Order Field Data

Dear Gurus,
In IW21/IW22 the reference object will populate the Responsibilities section of the Notification tab, and fields on the Location Data tab. When the reference object is changed, those same fields will update or refresh. The reference object will also populate field data in a work order if the work order is created from the notification, however, work order fields will not refresh if the reference object on the notification is changed. Nor will work order fields change if the reference object is changed directly within the work order.
Can anyone explain why fields will refresh in IW21/IW22 when the reference object is changed, but similar fields in the work order will not refresh when the reference object is changed in IW31/IW32?

Hi Lisa,
When you execute IW31/IW32 transaction, in back ground standard SAP programs are called to perform order related task.
When transaction IW21 / IW22 is executed and order is created or changed at that point also standard SAP programs are called to perform order related task.
But program called by IW31/IW32 are different then that will called with IW21/IW22 and thus refresh dont happen if u change reference object in notification once after order is created.
You need to manually change in work order.

How to delete line item in a Work Order (only a line created in operation)

Hi,
I have created a refurbishment order to refurbish a mechanical seal at external parties. In the work order operation tab, I have created one line items for this purpose and a Purchase Requisition is generated. Suddenly, operation decided to cancel this request and I have problem to delete the Work Order and Purchase Requisition. I have tried to delete the operation line item but failed. This is the message when try to delete the line item " The last active operation cannot be deleted". Appreciate help on how to delete this Work Order and Purchase Requisition.

In Standard SAP while creating an order the short text you are specifying will automatically appear in the first operation,also in order system will ask you to enter atleast single operation ,hence it is not possible to delete the operation line ,
what you can do this either TECO the order which will clear any open PR for this
or create another operation with control key for internal activities say dummy with operation no 20 and save,then go in to order in change mode and try to delete the operation line 10 ,i think system will allow you to do that

Work Order Field Selection after Release

Hello,
Can anybody help me in configuring Field Selection.
We are creating Work Order or Service PO.
We are entering Services in Short Discription Bcoz Service master is not used.
We want to make this field in Display after completely release.
We are using Release Indicator 3 i.e Changable. for final release.
Is there any way that we can change Field selection?

I am afraid that this setting will prevent change in any field from taking place after full release. It is not applicable to only service line item's short text description.

Need help in work order save BADI and create BAPI

Our issues are below list
1. When release and save the work order ,the standard BADI(WORKORDER_UPDATE) have not the parameters about service information . (for this issue , chunfai had give a solution ,we are testing it )
2. When we create work order by BAPI(BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN), the BAPI canu2019t provide the parameters about service information .we canu2019t create WO including service data.
3. When we update work order by BAPI(BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN), the BAPI canu2019t provide the parameter about service information . we canu2019t update WO including service data.
could anyone can provide some suggestion for above question ? thanks for a lot

Please check BADI IBAPI_ALM_ORD_MODIFY its method has a parametrs CT_HEADER_SRV and CT_HEADER_SRV_UP you can pass your data here...
Lets say this BAPI you are calling in custom program than if you donot see any parametrs where service data can be passed then you can export the data before calling bapi and import in this badi implementation and complete your task..
Please check BAPI and BADI documentation for more details
Even BAPi has these two parameters.

2 Custom Fields-create and display

In addition to the standard fields available within the Whou2019s Who service, we need to create and display 2 custom fields within the employee search functionality in ESS.

1 is normal search and 1 is advances search.

I guess you want to add extra field in normal search.
I am not sure how to do it....as Siddharth (In link I pasted above) says that he himself have never seen any changes in normal search.......

Work Order - Update special stock indicator in components tab

Hi ,
The requirement is to update the special stock indicator in the components tab of work order based on material number. I tried using the BADI Workorder_update but there was no changing parameter in it and hence it did not work, I also tried using the field symbol option to explicitly change the value but that too failed since it went to short dump prompting that a protected field is being changed.
I am thinking of calling a custom function module at last and updating the value, but for the orders which are being created newly the BADI / user exits contains the temporary number . How could I get the Order number and update the indicator for those orders.

Order field at item level Account Assignment tab in Inquiry

Dear All,
What is the purpose of u2018Orderu2019 field in account assignment tab of Inquiry?
When we are running sales pricing DP81, face the error u2018reference is incompleteu2019. So, I had to give the Order no. If it is intended for Profitability segment, what is the importance to PS?
We have assigned WBS and system det. Profit centre from WBS. But, getting the error u2018Order xxxxx is a networku2019 while trying to give network no. from dropdown button.
Is there a possibility, we can suppress the Order field.
Also, where does (tcode) system pick the values for item category in sales pricing? Cause, the required determination exists in VOV4 and in material master.

item category is determine from Item Catergory group in Mat master and Sales Doc Type.

How to increase the number of fields to be displayed in search tab

HI,
I have and opportunity search tabOPP_DISPLAY_SEARCH_RESULT. Currently it is displaying only 9 fields . I have 12 fields as mandatory fields but 3 fields are missing still how to get them. We need to enforce this for all users.

Thank you for the reply but the problem is if you see in the personalization we see the fields but I want to make it displayed so that default search list contains the field. The field which I was see by default is a EEWB field and another thing is there any way to remove the number of fields to be displayed as Currently I see only 9 fields in the default list. How can i increase it.

Purchase order field EKPO - AFNAM displayed in any standard report?

Hello gurus,
I can't find any standard report which contains in the layout the field Requisitioner (EKPO-AFNAM) of the Purchase Orders.
Can you please advise if there is any? Do I need to make a query between EKKO and EKPO to get this field displayed together with the PO number?

@Venu, dynamic selections would allow me to have this field in the selection screen but not in the layout of the report (which is exactly where I need it).
@Antony, you're confirming my fears; there is no standard PO report which contains the Requisitioner field in the layout. I know ME5A does include it, but it doesn't include the Purchase Order number as it is Purchase Requisition related.
@All, any other suggestion besides the query? Are we missing something?

PM-Work order execution start and finish date

I'm looking for the SAP PM standard datasources which includes the fields ISDD,ISDZ,IEDD and IEDZ.
Upon investigation i could find a data structure DIAFRU which includes these fields.
Can we create a generic datasource on top it and extract the data to SAP BW or else do we have any standard datasource which provides these fields.
Please advice.

Cross check existing PP Data sources which starts names 2LIS_04_P* and 2LIS_17_I3OPER.
if above data sources missing one or two fields then you enhance and use it.
Other wise you can create generic data source on table AFRU as per your needs.

1-) How can I implement a program which would run in the background. For example while I am writing a document, my program will print the entered keys on the console.
2-) How can I draw an image without using Frames or anything else. For example most of the monitors have birghtness property etc, when you press the buttons on your monitor, the menu for properties appear on everything, I want to implement something like that.

Displaying Work Order System and User Statuses in IW37 Search

I'd like to display the work order header system and user statuses along with the operation system and user statuses in an IW37 search but couldn't find an entry as such in the IW37 'change layout' dialog box.

That Order header information isn't available in IW37 report.You may have to use IW37N report or enhance /copy IW37 report to get this information.
