Work order that is open but closed in IW46

Hi PM Gurus,
I am trying to process a work order in the error log (IW46) but get the message that the order is closed. I have checked the order and it is not closed (it was just recently opened). It there something that has to be run before the error log will see the order as open again?

Using a hierarchy but also showing work orders that are not in hierarchy

good morning bi people,
i have a requirement to show data from a hierarchy which includes Operation and Maintenance information. for example it has an account broken into labour/material/trucking and below this is the pm acivity type and secondary cost element (concatenated). this hierarchy is a manually created hierarchy that is uploaded to BW and is not in ECC. The users do not want to see the concatenated field at the end of the hierarchy, but instead, want to see the Work Orders that have the PM activity types.
At the present time, we have the report using the hierarchy but we need the work orders to replace the pm activity type/secondary cost element concatenated field. the work order field is a free characteristic and when we drag in the work order in analyzer, it works correctly.
1) is this possible to use the hierarchy and somehow map the work order field to the end of the hierarchy within crystal?
2) do you have a suggestion to change the hierarchy, without being a manual nightmare?

Good Day Ingo,
i have created a word document with screen shots of the hierarchy from BW, a screen shot of the BEx showing the free characteristic of Maintenance Order and a screen shot of the crystal report with the PM Activity type concatenated to the Cost Element. Once again, we do not wish to see the concatenated field, but rather see the Maintenance orders that have a PM Activity type the same as the concatenated field.

All,
CAn someone send me SQL QUERY TO find all ORDERS that have all LINES in CLOSED status.
we have an issue in an environment, i am trying to build a data fix script.

Orders,Returns --> Order Organizor --> Find orders/Quotes form will open --> Close this serch page only.... --> Now you will able to see Order oganizor form --> Click on Lines Tab of this form (you will see this tab atleft bottom side of the page) --> Press F11.. --> In status Field give parameter as *"CLOSED"..*and press Ctrl + F11 ..... Take an export of the form output..
Risk : this query may take hell lot of time to complete..as it is going to pull all closed line of a particular Org..

Safari reopens to the the most recent website or tabs that were open when closed.

I just updated to Lion and have Safari 5.1. When I quit Safari either by hitting Command + Q or from Safari > Quit Safari, then either right after or later on go to open it back up it loads the last recent web page(s) (any tabs that were open as well) and not the homepage. If I just close just the window then open it back up it will go to the homepage. It is almost like it is recovering from a crash or something, but it has never done this before. Is there an option to change this? Any suggestions?

Sales Order Line Item Open But Many Fields Locked for Updating

Hi All,
I'm quite a novice with Business One, but I'm testing sales order processing, and I've got a SO with 3 of 4 closed line items. The one open line item, which is a backorder, does not allow me to update the WHSE, Log Import, nor Free Text fields, which I'd like to be able to do. We're not using B1 like it should be used and to introduce the Pick & Pack Manager would be overwhelming for how they're processing orders right now. Is there a way to open up these fields while the line item remains open?

I found out that the fields are open as long as the Delivery Note has not been created against the SO.

I'm running Mac OS 10.5.8 & Firefox 9.0.1. It takes a significantly longer amount of time for Firefox to open now. I've always had about 5-6 pin tabs that automatically open, but this was never a problem before. Should I downgrade, or is there a fix? Thx.

Not sure why it takes almost 1-2 minutes for Firefox to fully open and load. It's also not an internet issue, as Safari opens immediately.

When i click on one particular bookmark it opens in a window in the same browser page that is open but on the left side so that I have two dirfferent urls open

I will have page open in the browser and when I click on one particular bookmark it always opens in the same browser but as a second page on the left side of the page. How do I stop this from happening--it is apage that I need to visit often for business and it is very restricting.

If they told you it would work, you'll have to talk to them. They are not a supported carrier.

Report for Open purchase orders that contain deleted preqs

Is there a way to list purchase orders that may contain purchase reqs that have been deleted after PO creation?

The PRs are being deleted by other persons, mainly the originator, and by closing off work orders that the PR would be associated with.
The POs are still active, although quite old. I am hastening all PO that are active against the vendors to ensure supply of the goods.
I am seeing quite a large number of POs with deleted/closed PRs. Thus indicating there is no longer a demand for the items on the po.
If i could run a weekly report to show POs with deleted PRs. I could liaise with the originators to confirm their requirement before hastening against the vendor.

But when attempting to implement the note, it showed a syntax error.
Will likely log this with SAP for resolution.

Clear GR/IR Variances that settles to a closed capex

Hi,
I have an issue. We need to clear a GR/IR variance. Account maintenance was already done last year but the GR/IR variance still appears. Now we want to clear it using MR11 or F.13 or F-03. The problem is , this PO is assigned to a work order that settles to a capex which we do not want to re-open.
How do we solve this?

in F-03 you can selec the line item which needs to be cleared & click on the charge off difference & post to another P& L account. The GR/IR line item will be cleared off.

Email alert - work orders

Hello Gurus,
I have the requirement on sending email alert to certain critical auto generated work orders(preventive maintenance). Lets system is creating the work order along with notification, the maintenance supervisor and foreman in the plant only to get an email saying work order has been generated. And after 15 days, if the work order is still open...the email should sent to engineer ,maintenance manager, main supervisor. If the work order is still open after 30days, a group of ppl should get an email alert including plant manager stating that this work order has been delayed.
I am trying to use the cost centers for this but not sure how to filter the persons on each level. please let me know your thoughts

Print of work order before release

Is it possible to print a work order before releasing it. What customization/changes can be done to do this ?

You can do that using standard t-code BS22.
After calling t-code BS22 double click on system status I0001 - CRTD – Created.
Then search for, so called business transaction ‘RMDR - Print Order’ and choose function Allowed.
I have just done it in my sandbox and now I’m allowed to print shop papers for work orders in status CRTD but as per default shop papers should be printed in REL status please analyze possible impact before changing anything in BS22.

Work order header information from BAPI_ALM_ORDERHEAD_GET_LIST

Upfront I'll admit that this question likely falls outside of MII as I am getting bad results in SE37 as well. Was hoping others in this group have experience with this.
When I use BAPI_ALM_ORDERHEAD_GET_LIST there are several work orders that do not get returned, and I can't figure out why, or even what is the common thread between them. The missing orders are viewable via iw33, and information can also be returned from BAPI_ALM_ORDER_GET_DETAIL.
Right now, the only thing I pass in OPTIONS_FOR_ORDERID with a range of orders (ie 20 or so). Orders are returned in the correct range, just not the one I am looking for.

Hi Rod,
The only thing I can think of is that there are times where orders (or other objects) are created outside of normal procedures. My experience was with Batch histories, but if the objects are not created in the normal process (a nebulous term at best), they will sometimes not be stored in all the proper tables. Can you check the processing history of the orders missing to see if there are any discrepancies there?
Otherwise, you may need to get some ECC side help. The ABAP code in the underlying function module may direct you to all the tables which should be populated with the correct data so you can check which tables are not populated.
An alternative option for getting the work order header information would be to go back to the old reliable RFC_READ_TABLE.
