Work process error
This may be simple to many of you. But I would like to know the root cause.
When I run SM66, there are couple of processes highlighted with red color like Err and Time column values. What this red hightlighted values indicate ? Like Err 2 ?
Dear Mike,
When any work process is processing any request and ends with an error then the Err column will be filled to indicate that.
There could be many reasons for the error, to know the root cause view the developer trace from MMC or view the dev_wx (where x is the work process number) to know more about the error.

hi!

Does the memory settings wrong which leads to it.
Do you have enough disk space and memory to have those many work processess.

ERROR MESSAGE sap system manager:work process restarted, session terminated
Hi,
i am a beginer in SAP administration, users are getting this error message and i have done all my research and not able to resolve this issue. Here are the details
SAP Version :ideas 4.7
Database :Oracle
OS : windows 2003
Module user is working on MM
user working on it is a Super user with all the permissions
SAP is configure to run under the European date and decimal format.
I have never done any database administration on it, it is a new install and has been rarely used.
User creates a RFQ and when he tries saving it , seems like for the first time after either restarting the macine or restarting the service it might work and at time it might not, this is a very sporadic error and most of the times it crashes out with the message "sap system manager:work process restarted, session terminated" and kicks the user out of the session.
Below are the details of the error message from ST22 :

i even tried increasing the dialog processes but with no use.The same error occurs.

error occurs in two background work process, i have displayed the trace files of both the bgd work process.
How to rectify this error ?

I have performed consistency check for temse objects and all the comments are displayed in red color.
Does it mean that objects are inconsistent. But, no comments states that object are inconsistent.

When trying to deploy a sandboxed solution containing only a feature with a simple associated event receiver from VS 2013, I'm getting the following error:
Error occurred in deployment step 'Add Solution': An unknown exception occurred while executing a sandboxed code solution request in the worker process.\r\n|0
I'm working in Visual Studio 2013, deploying to SharePoint 2013.
The SharePoint project is very basic. I've only added a feature and an associated event receiver. It works without the event receiver. Then after I simply add the event receiver I get the error.
I've tried deploying directly from VS 2013 as well as publishing to a .WSP and uploading via web interface. Same error reported using both methods. I'm doing this using an Administrator account that I've confirmed is a site collection administrator.
Additionally, I've found that if I change Sandboxed Solution to False, deploy it, retract it, then change Sandboxed Solution back to True, then I can successfully deploy it. But this doesn't seem to be a permanent solution as the error will resurface a day

Processing error when doing a drillthrough agianst a Rolap dimension, working with MOLAP
Hi,
I'm having a drillthrough dimension (fact) that i'm using for drillthrough scripts. One thing that I have come a cross is that I get processing errors when I run queries agianst a ROLAP dimension where as it works agianst the same dimension set
as MOLAP. This is kind of confusing me.
The error message i get is like this one:
Errors in the OLAP storage engine: The process operation ended because the number of errors encountered during processing reached the defined
limit of allowable errors for the operation.
Errors in the OLAP storage engine: An error occurred while the 'Journal NO' attribute of the 'GLFact' dimension from the 'XXX' database was being processed.

2. When switching over to MOLAP the processingtime takes about 30 min. How can i decrease this to a minimum?
This is all implemented in SSAS 2005.I'm getting the exact same error when attempting to drill down on a rolap dimension associated to the cube. the cube is molap, but the dimension is rolap to reduce processing time (processing dimension using molap spike my 4 core processing to 100%
for 4 minutes due to all the select DISTINCT on the attributes (about 10)).
I too have seen the article about KeyDuplicate but I think this is a different issue. Anyone figure out the problem?

raghavaAccording to error, it appears that child flow activity trying to push the parent flow notified activity. Could be that parent flow is not ready/notified when child tries to push it.. Check for timings of 1) begin and end times of child activity 2) begin & end times of parent activity . If this is timing issue, add defer activity for child flow to wait till parent flow comes to required status.

Two places you need to check: EventViewer (Application and System logs) and the SAP Management Console (MMC).
Event Viewer can provide useful information and it may help you pinpoint where the problem resides. The SAP MMC gives you the ability to visually see the system status (green, yellow or red lights), view the work processes status and view the developer traces, which are stored in the "work" directory. Example: /usr/sap/TST/DVEBMGS00/work
and
Dispatcher Monitor (DPMON.exe), which is located under /usr/sap//sys/exe/run. Database logs

Work processes ended by itself
Hi all
Yesterday, in our BI system, all of a sudden in the evening all our work processes went into the end state and the system froze.
We did not issue a endsap or anything like that.
We tried looking into the files but are not sure what exactly happened.
In the DSPLOG QHST,
We see the work proocess WP00 ended abnormally and then everything went down after that.
We saved the files to investigate.

That parameter is right now set to "0".
But on reading the documentation for that parameter, it says you should change it only if SAP recommends you to do so.
We checked in our other systems as well and all that is set to "0" as well.
Will that be Ok to change the parameter to a different value?
