    Hi,
My Suspicion is your TNSNAMES.ORA is not configured properly. Please refer the following will be useful to resolve the error.
Make sure that "TNSNAMES" is listed as one of the values of the NAMES.DIRECTORY_PATH parameter in the Oracle Net profile (SQLNET.ORA)
    - Verify that a TNSNAMES.ORA file exists and is in the proper directory and is accessible.
    - Check that the net service name used as the connect identifier exists in the TNSNAMES.ORA file.
    - Make sure there are no syntax errors anywhere in the TNSNAMES.ORA file. Look for unmatched parentheses or stray characters. Errors in a TNSNAMES.ORA file may make it unusable.
    - If you are using directory naming:
    - Verify that "LDAP" is listed as one of the values of the NAMES.DIRETORY_PATH parameter in the Oracle Net profile (SQLNET.ORA).
    - Verify that the LDAP directory server is up and that it is accessible.
    - Verify that the net service name or database name used as the connect identifier is configured in the directory.
    - Verify that the default context being used is correct by specifying a fully qualified net service name or a full LDAP DN as the connect identifier
    - If you are using easy connect naming:
    - Verify that "EZCONNECT" is listed as one of the values of the NAMES.DIRETORY_PATH parameter in the Oracle Net profile (SQLNET.ORA).
    - Make sure the host, port and service name specified are correct.
    - Try enclosing the connect identifier in quote marks. See the Oracle Net Services Administrators Guide or the Oracle operating system specific guide for more information on naming.

  • Unable to login to SAP instance after hardware changes

    Hi,
We have a central instance and 3 application servers. System board and NIC cards have been changed by windows team on one of the applications servers. After the hardware changes users are not able to login to SAP. All the instances are placed under logon group and the users login through load distribution.
After hardware changes, we have started the application server and SAP is running fine on it. Now it has response time 0, which is best of all instances. All the new logins are diverting towards this instance as it has better response time of all and the instance is not allowing users to get into it nor to any insatnce. When we pulldown this instance users are able to login to other instances.
We have treid changing NIC cards and windows team confirmed that ILO is working fine.
Please help us in resolving this issue.
    Thanks,
    Venu.

Primary checks - check logon groms SMLG - if the distribution are done and active with all instances.
also check by login directly to CI without any logon grop and check that all the instances are shown in SM51 by double clicking and checking all work process for each instances look perticularly if all the Diag WP's are free for all instances.

  • Unable to login to sap after importing support package

    Dear consultants,
I have applied the support package basis 11, but it terminated since then i am not able to login to sap from any client  and any user,
    please give your opinions,
it gives dumps, and at the bottom of logon screen it says, status 0020 program sapmsyst .
    regards,

    Sameer,
I hope your problem is resolved right now. If not,
It would be better if you can give a little more information as to which system and version did you apply support pack to? What was the SPAM support pack level? At what phase did the SAPKBxx11 support pack terminated? What OS are you running on? Also, please check if any transports are still running at the 'OS' level.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    try to execute this query..
logged in the Database Oracle level, as SysDBA & executed the SQL Statement
    delete from <HOSTNAME>.<SID>.<object_owner>.USR02 where BNAME='SAP*' and MANDT='000';
after this bring down the instance and restart. then SAP will re-create SAP* userid and with default password "PASS" (case sensitive).
    OR
    login/no_automatic_user_sapstar=0
    after restart the instance.
    hope this info helps you!
    Rewards points if helpful

  • Unable to login to SAP B1 after database migration

I would like to know how to login to SAP B1 after database migration. I export data from MSSQL 2005 and import data to MSSQL 2008 which is located in different server. I failed to login to SAP B1 with both current password and default password. It will prompt me the error 'User code or password is incorrect'. Is there any other login ID(current user ID is manager) or how I can change the password? Or is there any other way to transfer or migrate the database to a new server?

    hi,
i am afraid your database is corrupted, try to make a full database backup from your SQL 2005 then restore it to your SQL 2008. also you can try another method, by detaching your Database from 2005 then copy the .MDF and .LDF then copy this 2 files in your new server, put it in your desired directory, then from your SQL 2008, attached the Database.
also, have one question, is your SA account in 2008 and 2005 have the same password? it must be the same.
    regards,
    Fidel

IIn our production system one dialog work process is running more then 5 days. i can not terminate or cancel the process.'
I tried all the ways to cancel the work process. i restart the system (offline backup) but still that work process are showing running status....
Maximum runtime of dialog work process is controlled by parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time  I am not sure how it is possible to have dialog work process running for so many days. Secondly, when you restart the system means new PIDs will be allocated and it will be not the same dialog work process. Check SM50, trace information for more details and clues.

  • Work Processes stuck at action Commit

    Hi All
Our 4.6C system has developed a strange performance problem.
We are finding situations where multiple work processes are all in status Commit, and remain so until the either time out or cancelled. They are performing quite different workloads, don't appear to be waiting for any locks, and don't actually appear to be committing from an AS/400 view. Has any one else encountered this. I've attached an SM50. We are also opening in OSS call. But I thought I'd tap the real knowledge as well.

    Hi Christian,
Whilst we do use SAVACT(*SYNCLIB), I take SAP offline to reach the sync point then bring it back online once reached. This happens between 03:00 & 03:45. Typically the problems start at about 08:00.
From the 400 the locked WP's are at RUN status and the end of the call stack is
           Program

           PurgeNode   QSYS        0000000017
           locksl2     QSYS        0000000015
I'll add that we are on V5R3, PTF's as latest APAR, ASCII Kernel patch 2307, lib_dbsl patch 2303.
The problem can affect dialog jobs just moving between screens, or background jobs. I suspect but haven't confirmed, that the background jobs are using BDC sessions.
    Thanks
    Steve

  • DISP+WORK PROCESS

    Hi all,
I appreciate the help. I am trying to run the disp+work process. It runs for about a minute then stops.
Please see below trace file. I can see its getting a login error for \SAPServiceBWP, but am not even trying to run the instance using that username.
    Thanks

  • How to statistic the rest dialog work process?

    Dear Gurus,
Is there some method we can statistic the rest dialog work process in every ten minutes in our sap ECC prd system(ECC 6.0)?(I want to use the number to evaluate our SAP system's performance. Esp, at the business peak period.)
    Thank you!
    Jason

    Hi Jason,
If I understand correct, you want to find out number of required work processes.
You can find it, by using "ST02 -> Go to -> Current Local Data -> SAP cursor cache -> ID cache" path. On this table, you can analyze how many work processes are really running and how many work processes are waiting at the idle state.
There is no time based values, about these statistics. These values indicate current stats.
    Best regards,
    Orkun Gedik
