Work profile in Blackberry Balance as default?

Hi. Is there any option, how to set the work profile in Balance as the default profile? I am very confused about the two profiles. Sometimes I switch unintentionaly to the personal profile and dont get my notifications all the day. Generally, there should be an option how to disable Balance at all and to have only one all-in-one profile.

Thanks for your question on BlackBerry Balance.
The Work partition cannot be set as the default profile.
You should still receive notifications whilst in the Personal profile. What type of notifications are you failing to get whilst in Personal?

Can not access to blackberry balance work files with *.zip extension

I have a playbook 32 GB running OS 2.1.0.1526.
For my work e-mail, I used to use playbook often. I downloaded lots of files from my work e-mail. However using native file manager app on playbook, I can only see pictures, videos, music, office, pdf files of the downloaded ones. Other unsupported files are MISSING !!! There are also some zipped files I downloaded. I am sure. But I can not access them !!!
I tried another way using dsktop manager, but I can not reach the blackberry balance files by PC.
I tried some file manager apps from the market but no solution.
I need that unsupported files, is there a way to reach them ?

Have you tried the free Air Browser, and there is also File and Folder (paid) both of which are very good
Using the Playbook and the Z10 and the Z30 and loving them

Missing applications in work profile after 10.2 update

Hi everyone,
since the 10.2 update the "Music" and "Video" application are now longer visible in my Balance work profile. Only the "Photo" application still is available.
Is this by design or an update problem?

Hello stanft,
These icons will not be listed under your BlackBerry Balance Work perimeter. You will need to access them from the main screen going forward.

BlackBerry Balance, BYOD and BES

Hi folks. I'm hoping someone can help me understand something. I currently have a personal BIS BB, and was quoted around £30/month to provision it for BES so I could use it for work as well.
With the advent of blackberry balance and BES10, if I wish to use a personal BlackBerry or PlayBook does that still apply? The features of Balance look great, but if it still requires the user to have a BES plan on a personal BB, wouldn't that kill BB in the BYOD arena?

This would depend on what you are using BlackBerry® Balance with, BlackBerry® Enterprise Server or BlackBerry® Enterprise Server Express.
If you are using BlackBerry® Balance with a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server then you would require a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server service plan and if being used with BlackBerry® Enterprise Server Express then a BlackBerry® Internet Service data plan would be required for the BlackBerry® smartphone.

Virus scan server error: "No virus scan profile is selected as the "default"

Hi Team,
I try to upload Fiori Code into SAP Netweaver Gateway server .
i can able to share Project.
But when i try to submit code
then at the end of Process i got error message.
Virus scan server error: "No virus scan profile is selected as the "default"

whenever we run Server URL from The Browser, first we must need run "chrome.exe --args --disable-web-security" command on CMD. on located directory the Chrome has installed.
to disable web security.
if I did not run that command on CMD, then Fiori Apps not worked.
Why it's compulsory to disable web security.

Blackberry Balance - Remember App

Good Day!
I have configured Blackberry Balance but it seems that it is not working as it should be.
I input notes in Remember under Work Area but it can be open in Personal Area even if Balance is lock.
Is this normal?

Thanks for the question.
This is by design and normal. If you access the work space, you are unlocking the workspace until the security timeout kicks in. So when you go back to your personal space you will have access to work and personal. When the security timeout kicks in, you will see the memos are locked for only the workplace.

How to enable blackberry balance

You need a Blackberry enterprise server 10 (BES 10) to enable BlackBerry Balance.
in the BES10 you can configure to setup the client for your smartphone. and as you can enable a simple balance in your blackberry smartphone

Information added at my work profile on MacBook Pro doesn't get to the other iclouds: my iphone and personal profile on MacBook Pro.

Things added on other profiles (Iphone and personal profile on macbook pro) does get to my work profile, but not the contrary.

Profile is which profile I chose to enter in my SnowLeopard System. I created 2 profiles. One I enter to work, the other, personal, I enter to do my personal things when I go home.
It worked weel for a while. I had muy icloud working on both profiles, with iCal, Agenda, etc. Now it doesn't anymore. On my work profile the information from icloud only gets in, not out.

CG36 - No virus scan profile is selected as the "default profile"

When running transaction CG36 - Import Reports, I'm getting this message in the job log:
"No virus scan profile is selected as the "default profile" VSCAN 034 I"
Do I have to set up a default profile for virus scan? I have never seen this error until recent upgrade. Is there a way to by pass this virus scan if we choose not to activate it?

I encountered the same problem during the CG36 transaction.
"Error during virus scan in file "...\usr\sap\.....\xixoxoxioxo.pdf" with Message class "CM_REPORT_IMP_EXP" 010 E
Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE.
This may be due to BASIS security level virus scan checks on the files being imported to the application server. Is BASIS assistance required on this or any workaround to bypass?

Yes they are not compatible. I do not have either program so could not try anything.

I have a list of thirty or so different document sizes maintained in a FileMaker database. It works great to pass variables through to build InDesign files. My designers would also like placeholder Photoshop files, but I'd rather not have them taking up disk space unless the files are absolutely needed. And the specs change often, so I'd like as much as possible to be data driven. So, I'd like to have a script that pulls page height and width and resolution requirements to Photoshop.

Will isync work with a blackberry (bluetooth device)

wondering if the isync will work with a blackberry that has a bluetooth device to transfer a word document from my powerbook G4 to the blackberry? I am also using OS Tiger...

Pocketmac does not support syncing via Bluetooth.
It also does not support file transfer. Blackberry devices do not have this functionality.

BLACKBERRY BALANCE Where is it?

I have looked everywhere for BlackBerry Balance. When I was on the main screen I tapped on the search and it brings up a box that has a Balance icon. When I click on it it reads my administrator has turned on blackberry balance. Where is it?

Now that seems like false advertising. I was in Best Buy today looking for a case and I was checking out the advertising for the new Z10 and Balance is all over it but it's not really available to the average guy even if he runs his own business and would like to just keep things separate. I guess it is at a big cost. ;-(

TS3999 I am receiving an error message "setup can't continue because outlook isn't configured to have a default profile" I have checked all defaults are on in outlook. Please help, can't sync my calenders or contacts, but the email works fine in outlook.

I've looked at the Microsoft support info and it doesn't reveal anything new. I looked up the eM Client software and have decided to give it a try. I've been using Thunderbird and Gmail for years, but the issue of keeping contacts in snyc accross platforms led me to try Outlook as supposedly compatable with iCloud. Thanks for eM Client tip. It seems to work well and I'll be testing it for the next few weeks. While I'd still like to be able to solve the issue with Outlook (I'm not used to being defeated by software), I've got plenty of other things to keep me busy and a working solution is the priority here.
