Work Schedule PT01

Hello Gurus
I am new to HR and need your help for the below issue:
The company is using holiday calender XX where December 24th, 25th, 28th and 29th are marked as holiday. All these days except 25th is maintained as holiday class 3, whereas 25th is maintained as holiday class 1. A work schedule is created in PT01 with the calender XX. In the work schedule 24th and 25th are correctly displayed with holiday indicator 3 and 1, but for 28th and 29th no holiday indicator is displayed.
Could anyone please tell me as to what is the problem and how to rectify this.

check these two holidays
28th and 29th December
As they have holiday class 3 customer defined - you may have not defined those holidays - when OR how they are going to occur for that duration (or in that calender year).
Or if you solve with any other solution - then please update your solution here. so that we can let know about it.

Generating work schedule in PT01

Dear Colleagues,
Few issues related with PT01 transaction:
1. I have PWS referencing DWS that is SDAY, SDAY has 3 variants, but on PWS customizing screen variants are not visible, so it is not clear is it just SDAY or SDAY I or SDAY S.
2. On PWS config I have days 06 and 07 as FREE, but when run PT01 it falls into Thursday and Friday instead of expected Saturday and Sunday.
3. Within PWS config I choose SDAY I, but PT01 generates it with SDAY without variant.
4. Who should be doing PT01 within the business? Is it one time administrator task for the beginning of the year?

Here are the steps to configure a WS Rule and generate them....:

DWS variants will be applied based on the IMG Step: IMG > Time Management > Work Schedule > Daily Work Schedule > Define Rules for Variants
In your Reference Date while configuring a WS Rule, make sure the date falls on a Monday (1/1/1900)
If your Holiday Calendar does not change year to year, you can generate the WS Rules for next 10-20-50 years or so...

Report to check work schedule - If case more than hundreds of work schedule

dear experts,
I have one issue to create work schedule for the next year. I want to create(pt01) active work schedule for the next year(2012).
However i have issue because I don't remember which work schedule still active.This is because we have hundreds
of work schedule rule based on emp sub group grouping, holiday calendar,psa grouping and w schedule rule.
Is there any reports to check all the active work schedule .I'm afreaid ihave missing certain work schedule for next year...

If you use the IMG node for automatic generation of Work Schedule Rules
(Time Management > Work Schedules > Work Schedule Rules and Work Schedules > Generate Work Schedules in Batch)
you can generate all work schedules associated to a Holiday Calendar
and only the active work schedules will be generated.

How to check the generated work schedules

Hi Friends,
We have more than 30 Work schedule rules, in which some of them have been generated some of not. So now I want to check which work schedules have not been generated. Kindly advice the how can I check the non generated Work schedules or generated work schedule.

We use the following tcodes
PT01 to generate
PT02 to change the DWSR
PT03 to display the DWSR
more over if u have not generated the Daily work schdule you will get an Error while save DWSR in IT0007 so please check the above tcodes

Work schedule rule generation dates

Hi All;
I need to create a report which displays the generation dates (from and to) of a work schedule rule. I have managed to find out that the generation dates in t-code PT01 are stored in structure PSHFT ( PSHFT-PRD01 and PSHFT-PRD01 ).
Is there a table in which these fields are stored in?

I am also having the same issue and cant seem to find a table that they are stored in, only part of PSHFT (PRD01 and PRD02).
Does anyone have an answer to this?

Work schedule - user exit or configuration?????

Hi all,
We want that in our work schedule, second and fourth saturdays of a month should be offs and first and third would be working .If a month has 5 saturdays, then first, third and fourth saturday would be working and second and fifth should be off.
What configuratino we can do about it? Is there any user exit for it? Please let know how to proceed for this in SAP?

Hi Ribhu,
Here is the steps to define the WS rule:
Img -> TM - > WS
1. Define your required Break Schedule
2. Rule for your Variants
3. Create the required various Daily WS like Mng, Gen, Off. ( DWS consist of Planned hrs, Timings, Rule for Variant, Break Schedule, DWS class to differentiate from other, usually will assign 0 for Off and 1 - 9 for working day)
4. Period Work Schedule -> Assign Mng or Gen from mon to Saturday for First week and Mon to Fri for second week and off for Saturday also... like that assign as per your need for One month.
5. Create the Day type rule.
6. Create the WSR for your Period WS. It is nothing but the assigning the Reference date and day for your WS Rule.
7. Generate your WSR for your EE subgroup, Calendar and WSR for particular period. (Tcode: PT01)

Regenerate work schedules

Dear All,
Can some one guide me in the process of regenerating work schedules? I have made some changes in the customization for defining rules for variants and I want the system to regenerate work schedules based on this change. Since nothing the generate work schedules selection screen is changed, It is not allowing me to generate work schedules saying that the work schedules are already present.
How do I re generate the work schedules?

Here is the steps to follow generating/regenerating work schedule rules.
Set work schedule rules and work schedules: Path: SPRO-> Personnel Time Mgmt-> Set work schedule rules and work schedules
Generate work schedules manually: Path: SPRO-> Personnel Time Mgmt-> Generate work schedules manually (PT01)
Generate work schedules in batch: Path: SPRO-> Personnel Time Mgmt-> Generate work schedules in batch (OG00) Otherwise use this program: RPTSHF00
You will have to check in PA0007 for at least one employee from each employee sub grouping to know whether work schedules are generated properly or not.
Moreover if you want to check more details check these tables (T550A, T508A, T552A)results.

After configuring the required tables for the work schedule rule, ensure that you also generate the same using the T code PT01.
once the work schedule is generated, use the TCode PE03 to access the feature.
Work on SCHKZ feature in whci the return value is the work schedule rule that is created.
This will appear by default in IT0007 when you click on create the IT0007.
whenever you change the WS rule ensure that you generate the same using PT01 and chnage the return value in the Feature.
Your problem will for sure be solved

Time Management - Work Schedule /Absence Quota / Part-time quota generation

Hi Experts,
Need your help!
We have a requirement where we need to create distinct work schedules for each irregular / part-time work pattern and the number of work patterns we have identified is more than 1000. We are using report RPTQTA00 to generate quota. We have used work contract, employee sub-group & employee payscale group in the QUOMO feature to get the base entitlement picked up. We have defined base entitlement for the full time workschedules with 37.0 / 38.5 hours and there is a reduction rule which reduce the absence entitlement for part time employees as per the employement percentage in IT0007. Now we have a scenario where we have created a work schedule with different no of hours for each day of week (M-4, T-6, W-4, TH-6, F-4, S-OFF, SU - OFF); this work schedule is treated as full time work pattern by the system and quota is generated as full time work schedule refering to the QUOMO settings, but as per my client employees with this work schedule have reduced hours of working hours (24 hours, not 37.0 or 38.5 hours)and hence it should be treated as part-time employees, and the quota generated should be proportionately reduced. I have very limited scope to create any ESG or PSG as we do not have any distinct emplyee sub-groups maintained for full-time and part-time employees and the project has already gone-live with payroll/time. It is worth mentioning over here that we are recording absence through ESS and it takes into account the daily planned working time maintained in IT0007, so we are very particular to keep it as accurate as possible.
I would really appreciate if somebody can please suggest any possible solution for the above issue, or guide me on what would be the best way to tackle it. I can give more details in case anybody need to have a better understanding of the issue to suggest a solution.

Yes, i have found the solution to it. I do not know whether it will fit into your situation or not, but i got two solutions for my issue mentioned above, please check it may help:
1) To use capacity utilization field in IT0008 to get the FTE hours and defining the reduction rule of absence quota based on the capacity utilazation percentage.
2) There are three user exits available in the standard report RPTQTA00, i have used one of them to write my own rules for the calculations (deduction rule)

Function module to get holiday class from work schedule for current day

I need to determine what the public holiday class value is for the current day in a user exit. Is there an SAP function module that can return me this data? This would be the information that is displayed when pressing the work schedule button from infotype 0007

Function module HOLIDAY_CHECK_AND_GET_INFO is closer to what I need. This function module returns an X if the day is a holiday. I will create a Z program and instead of returning an X for a holiday I will return the THOL-KLASS (holiday class) value.

Hi All,
I have checked work schedules and work sc. rules. everything looks fine. Reason being fine, same work schrdule rule, i.e. 5MTWTF is used for other employees, whose payroll area, personnel area, personnel subarea, employee group and employee subgroups are same.
Why it is throwing error for one employee 753402.
I am providing you more information. In table V_T569r, if u select recalculation category as time evaluation, it is mentioned as 01.01.2003. Initially, one action called "Conversion take on" has been maintained as on 01.03.2002, where employee had payroll area -99 (payroll irrelevant) and personnel subarea - DAYY.
Then on 17.03.2008, another action ran "Conversion initial reassignment" where payroll area changed to "MT - monthly", subarea changed to DAYF. At that time PDC recalculation date in infotype 0003 was 01.03.2002 which was before recalculation date, i.e. 01.01.2003.
Time evaluation was throwing 2 error messages. one was solved by changing PDC recaluation date to 17.03.2008. But other error related to work sc rule 1 VM 01 5MTWTF still occurs.
Can some body now provide some useful information?

Looking for an app that is easy to create a work schedule on PC and download to phone.

We have a small group of managers who have blackberry's and were wondering if there is an app that would allow us to easily download our individual schedules to our phones. We currently use excel to create the work schedule and even though we can view it through email it would be nice be able to plug it in with our calendars. Any help would be Great!

Are you all using BES or BIS? If you're not on a BES then you can use a program called Google Sync. If you all have a gmail account you can use this program to wirelessly sync between your BlackBerry calendar and Gmail calendar. Read more about it here

Error "No entry in table T551A" while creating set work schedule rule.

Dear Team,
I am getting following error while creating set work schedule rule.
Error "No entry in table T551A" for key 22 BBB [ here BBBB is my period work schedule]
The actual prob is i configured all the necessary steps but when i tried to create work schedule rule im getting this error. Also, in the same screen there is one field DWS grouping initially value in this is 00 and gread mode. But after giving ES grp, holiday calander ID etc etc when i try to save that screen that value is chainging to 22 from 00.
My ES grop=2 and PS grop=2 . Is that value is my ES and PS grouping..?? or some other thing.
Request you to please help me out.

1. Group Personnel Subareas for the Daily Work Schedule
2. Group Personnel Subareas for the Work Schedule
3. Define Break Schedules
4. Define Daily Work Schedules
5. Define Period Work Schedules
6. Define Employee Subgroup Groupings
7. Define Groupings for the Public Holiday Calendar
8. Set Work Schedule Rules and Work Schedules
All of them belong to TIME MANAGEMENT. I think you miss some steps above.
Please check it again.

While Hiring an Employee, and creating a work schedule, using the work schedule rule NORM, the error message "No work schedule rule for key 2 00NORM 20100501 ##"

check your PSA grouping in V_001P_ALL

Change/ removal of Unit of Issue in Material master Work scheduling view

Hi,
Is there a way to remove Unit of Issue from Work scheduling view? it is giving error message as "this is being used in BOM". Even if we put deletion indicator also it is showing same error message.

Do a CS15 for the material in question and make sure you go in the BOM and select the material and click on delete/remove you can then do this.
I have tested it and it works.
