Work Status Saved Incorrectly

In SAP Note 1941785 say that's in BPC 10 MS in previous version respect to SP 12 Work Status Are Saved Incorrectly in sql tables.
What does it means? Have You Had Issue With Work Status in BPC 10 MS ?

  • Work status error

    Hi gurus,
    When i`m implementing the work status when i lock a data region and i try to send data instead of receive a message like "this data region has submitted work status" i received and error message that says "Error when try to check work status".
    It doesn't allow me to send data but when i try to open the region via BPC for web to change the work status it shows me an incorrect current work status.
    Anyone has the same problem

    This may be related to some problem in UJW_STATCODE table.
    In this table, you should see in STATUS colums an indentifier number for the work state and an sequential number in column ORDERN (for each apset) starting in 0.
    The other columns will show what you have defined during work status configuration where 0 is manager, 1 is owner and 2 means both.
    In table /1CPMB/LKWS<APPSET_PREFIX><APPL_PREFIX> you can check what is the SATUS for each locked intersections and compare.
    As far as I know, the numbers in ORDERN must be sequential. Confirm that the column STATUS for the data region in the LKWS* and UJW_STATCODE tables are the same.

  • Unlocking work status

    Hi,
    We are implementing BPC 7.5 NW version and having SP04.
    we have an Entity A (parent entity) and unerneath that we have two entities B and C.
    In the Entity Dimension we have an owner peroperty in which for Entity A we gave a user (say Administrator as the owner) and for both Entity B and C we gave another user (say-BPcuser as the owner)
    So the user Administrator of Enitity A is the owner of Entity A and he is also now the Manager for Enitity B and C.
    After making these settings, when we try to modify work status through BPC for Excel it takes to BPC for WEB and in BPC for WEB we make the following selection.
    Category-Actual
    Entity- A
    Time -2010.April
    And in the next screen we are changing the satus from sUBMITTED to APPROVED ( TO lock the Data region) and save it.
    Now when we input any data for this data we are getting Check work status settings.( which is our desired output)
    However when we try to change the work status setting From Approved to Submitted (to unlock the data region) with the ID Administrator (i.e Owner of Parent Entity A) it is getting saved.However when we try to input the data it is still showing check the Work status settings.
    So can you please suggest me how to unlock the work status settings now so that we can post the data for that data region.

    Hi,
    If you are in a development system and if you want to delete all the locks on the data at one go......you could try reordering your work states (rearrange your last work state for example by moving it one step further up). You get a message on the screen that this will delete all the locks on the data....just confirm the message. You could change the order again back to the original order.
    Above is only if you are working on a development system and for test if you want to delete all the existing locks at one go.
    If your system wants only to unlock a specifc dataset, select the required members of the work state dimensions (refer to your appliation and work staus to know what the work status dimensions are for your application). Note, if your selection includes any parent member for a dimension current work status is not displayed.(This is again as per the work status set up in BPC that work status is stored at non-parent members).
    Please let me know if you still have any issues in deleting the locks

    This query is for BPC 10.0 NW, default logic.
    Can work status be used to control for which region of data (namely which Year) default logic is executed?
    Is Default Logic executed for all data regions falling within the scope of the Logic Script Every Time any data is saved, or is it executed only for the data saved at that instance?

    Work Status and Default logics are 2 Different paths but Default Logic will control whether given a period/Year Combination is Open"  All the Activities for assigned Model" would be performed in terms of Data Load and subsequent Activities that Includes Default Logic.
    Where as Default Logic is used for Calculating Retained Earnings and updating your data base in Balance Sheet Current Retained Earning Account as well as Out side Account from Chart of Account which is Total Sum of Income Statement Items.
    Ex:
    BPC Chart of Accounts/Account Dimension : BPCCOA
                       Total Balance Sheet:TBSACTS
                         Income Statement:INCSACTS (inthis groups Lets say 2199999 CYR)
                        BPC Special Account: 9999999
    When ever you execute Default Logic or Include Default logic into your applicable Script Logics.  BPC Default Logic would UPDATE 2 line Postings in the data base.
                     219999     XXXX
                     999999    XXXXX
    This ensure that your total Current Retained Earnings always match with Sum of Total Income Statement items for a Period/Year.

  • No owner property specified for a dimensions - Work Status

    Hi to all,
    I have a problem. I am configurating a work status. I have specified my work states, I have created the property "OWNER" in the memberset of the dimension that I want to be the owner one and I have specified the user which is going to be the owner of the members, but when I go to the workstatus matrix inside an application, the system tells me that ther's no owner property in that dimension. But in fact ther is. Does someone have any idea?

    Than for your answer. Regarding the ideas:
    Q1: I have process and saved the dimension that contains the owner.
    Q2: Which kind of hierarchy are you talking about? I set in application parameters the Approval Org to H1, and in the members set of the owner dimension, I specified my user as a owner of some properies, so that six porperties have only one father, my user, the owner.
    Shall I change something?

  • Work Status Report Date and Time Setting

    Hi all
    We are running BPC10 on servers configured with Central European Time which is currently 2 hours ahead of GMT allowing for Daylight Savings Time.
    From what i can see in BPC10 date and times are now stored in GMT (Zulu time) in the Audit activity tables so when a user updates the work status at say 11:00AM local CET time then a value of 09:00AM GMT is stored in the Audit Activity Header table.
    We have a report in excel that uses the EVLCK formula and will return the correct value of 11:00 am however if we run the Work Status Audit report on the Planning and Consolidation home page with user preferences set to Central European Time +1 then the time is displayed as 10:00am suggesting that daylight savings time is not accounted for. We need to set the time to Eastern European time +2 hours to display the correct figure.
    Can anyone explain why this happens? Has DST been overlooked?

  • Work Status Report

    Hi,
    I was wondering if there is a work status report available in the system?  What I would like to see is a summary of which dimensions are locked in BPC so that I can monitor it to ensure that someone doesn't accidentally open something by mistake. 
    Currently I have to go through BPC Web and check the dimensions manually.  If there is no report can someone confirm where the work status data is stored so that I can have one built.
    Is this the table (where "finance" is the application)   -  [dbo].[tblFinanceLock]  ??

    You're right, work status information are stored in "tbl<App>Lock".
    Concerning your first question, you can build a BPC for Excel report that retrieves work states.
    Having for example an expansion on all entities, you can use EVLCK function (from 5.1 version) or EVASV function (in CPM 4.2). You can then do whatever you would like to send it to others via distribution list or other.

  • Status distribution incorrect in GOA

    i've created a shopping cart, then bid invitation followed by Bid submission to bid acceptance. Then i created a contract from this bid response successfully. But the problem is when i distribute this contract to R/3, distribution fail with status "Distribution incorrect" I don't understand the missing link. Am using SRM server 5.5 (SRM 5.0) with ECC 6.0.

    check your partner profiles PROPERLY. If u have the same IDoc type in 2 different partner profiles, check the 2nd one for it's process code. Isn't it the one, which is called after your Idoc is received? Processing code in partner profile is not based only on Idoc Type, but also on Message Type, Message Code and Extension. If the 2nd profile contains the process code, which is called, then check your incoming idoc for header values. May be this is causing your problem.

  • Sales order cannot be rejected -problem log status item status is incorrect

    Hi,
    I need to reject this particular sales order, but when i try to reject it says to check the problem log which states that the item status is incorrect. It says subsequent documents exists for some lines even though no documenst are attached.
    There were a delivery attached to this order earlier but that has been archived. I ran repors SDVBUK00 etc but nothin seem to sort this issue..
    I just need to reject the whole sales order. does anyone know any reports or somethin to rectify this issue.

    I mean, had you reversed the delivery (T. Code: VL09) and then deleted the items from reversed Delivery Doc (T. Code: VL02N), before deleteing the Delivery Doc?
    Was there any subsequent document for Delivery Doc.?

  • Issue with setting work status

    Hi Gurus,
    I am using the standard work status (copied from Appset), in the applications work status setting I have set entity as owner and time and category as yes for work status. In the entity dimension under owner and reviewer property I have keyed in the correct user ids. I am using one of the owner user id to perform the activity mentioned below
    The issue I am facing is when I select modify work status from Esubmit menu it takes me to the web interface for setting the Work status after selecting the value for the 3 dimensions mentioned above when I click on OK it pops up a message that you are not authorized to change the work status setting please contact system administrator. The owners have admin profiles for auth so they should be able to do pretty much everything.
    would appreciate help on this

    Make sure all the members within the parent hierarchy you are using have owners assigned.
    In BPC terms; Managers are the owners of parents, owners are the owners of members.
    For example the owner might be a clerk entering forecast data for a single/set of entities, (base level members). The manager owns the parent.
    Also, when testing, make sure you login to the system/server/domain/network, (whatever) with the userid you will be testing with and then login to BPC. (Just to be sure.)
    This should do it if you have everything else laid out!

    The periodic scripts or launchd would have to send the email. I don't think you have to do anything to send mail, just receive it, you can check that from the command line:
    mail [email protected]
    When you finish your message put a period on a blank line and hit return, that indiecates the end of the message.
    The one butt biter is that Apple puts a .forward file in all home directories that says to direct all mail to /dev/null , essentially it sends it to a black hole. You'll need to edit this file and put in your email address (if you want the email to go there) or the mails (should) wait for the user to run the mail command to read their messages.
    The mail command has a fairly extensive man page:

  • BPC 7.5 - Multiple Usernames in the owner property for Work Status Update

    Good Day,
    We have an issue in our BPC system, where our organisation dimension(entity) has an owner property which is maintained with multiple usernames. The issues comes in when we have to update the Work status for locking. The system recognises the first username as the owner property and only that first username can change or update the workstatus in BPC. We have a problem with that because we have a team of people that manages process.
    The error that we get when one of the usernames other than the first one tries to update the work status is - "User not a Manager/Owner, Work status cannot be updated".
    Please advise of the solution we are BPC 7.5 SP17
