Workarea Wizard in Rep Object Navigator is greyed out ???

Please help,
I have to configure a working area for a new
Project and even if I use the REPOSITORY OWNER
the Workarea Wizard on the menu TOOLS in the
Object Navigator is GREYED OUT .
What should I do ?

Extending View Object expert mode greyed out

Hi,
I am trying to extend the View Oject oracle.apps.irc.offers.server.IrcOfferSearchVO. While extending the expert mode check box is greyed out and I can't change the SQL. I wanted to add a table in the from list and add an extra where condition using the added table.
Can you please help me how can I extend the view object if the expert mode is greyed out.

When I select Edit the seeded VO IrcOfferSearchVO, I received the below message.
Warning: There are java errors for this object. The wizard will be read-only until they are corrected.

Unable to group objects - it's greyed out all the time

Hello,
I am using Page's 09 (version 4.0.3 build 766). I have a document with many self made graphics using text boxes, shapes and connection lines. No matter what, I can not select group objects. If I select two, three, four, or more it is always greyed out.
Is this a nasty issue with Pages? Anyone else experiencing this?

Well, there have been an incredible number of manifestations of problems with iWork and the 10.6.2 incremental update. I wonder if there are any other issues that you may not have mentioned because they don't seem related to this one.
As Yvan says, what you want to do is something that works well on a properly functioning system. All manner of things have gone wrong for those who have installed 10.6.2.
I haven't installed 10.6.2, so I don't have first hand experience with this, but posts indicate that you must have a properly updated iWork first, and then do the Combo Update. After that you hold crossed fingers behind your back, or something like that.

Why is some of the objects in the object library are greyed out?

I haven't seen this before and it's annoying, because it's the objects I need such as text, text object etc!

Designer deactivates all objects in the palette that are not supported in a static form.
This happens when you create a form by importing an static PDF file.

InDesign CS2 'Unlock' greyed out ?

I am using CS2 (v4.0.5/WinXP SP3) and wish to replace some .AI/.PDF objects with newer versions in an InDesign document that is a couple of years' old.
I recall locking the objects, but find that the 'Unlock Position' option on the Object menu is greyed out (when the .AI/.PDF objects are selected). NB These are not on a master page, nor is the layer locked.
Any suggestions to recover 'lock/unlock' feature would be much appreciated.

Replacing your preferences: Fast way, which causes you to lose any customizations if it turns out not to be the problem is to hold down Ctrl + Alt + Shift, and while holding the keys down launch InDesign from the start menu or by right-clicking a desktop shortcut and selecting open (it won't work if you you hold the keys down before double-clicking a shortcut, but you can press them IMMEDIATELY after launching InDesign) and saying yes to the dialog asking if you want to delete your preferences. If you don't see the dialog, you weren't fast enough with the keyboard or you didn't hold the keys down long enough. My preferred method, which saves your old prefs in case you want them back, is to close ID, open Explorer and make sure you are set to show hidden and system files, then navigate to (for CS and CS2) C:\Documents and Settings\<User Name>\Application Data\Adobe\InDesign\Version [no.] and rename the two preference files: InDesign Defaults and InDesign SavedData. In CS3 the SavedData file has been moved to \Documents and Settings\<User Name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\InDesign\Version 5.0\Caches. The preferences will be replaced with a fresh set of factory defaults when you relaunch ID, but if that doesn't solve your problem you can always go back to explorer and throw out the new set and name the old ones back again, restoring any customizations. If new prefs solve your problem you should delete the renamed files. It's a good idea to also export any custom document and printer presets from the appropriate Preset > Define dialog prior to doing a preference replacement. Then you can just go back to the dialog and select load and you won't have to recreate all those wonderful things you've made and saved, and that will be wiped out with the old prefs files. Once you have a customized set of preferences which work, make a copy and store it somewhere on your system for easy retrieval and you can simply replace the two files with your good copies when things get funny.

Export error from Rep. Object Navigator

I got an error CDI-22582 when I tried to export container or workarea from Rep. Object Navigator. Errlog.err file contains this:
EXP-00056: ORACLE error 12154 encountered
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name
EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully
Everything is OK with my TNS. I can successfully connect to Rep. DB from Designer or Enterprise Manager. I'm using:
Designer6i v. 6.5.40.20.0 c.4.012

There are various causes to this issue. The most common one is the following:
When you connect to your repository, you use the TNSNAMES.ORA from the Designer Oracle Home.
When you export from Designer, it can be (depending on the registry variables EXECUTE_EXPORT) that you use the export executable from another Oracle Home, what means it uses a different TNSNAMES.ORA
Could you please check if it's the case?
If it is, make the file tnsnames.ora in both Oracle Homes identical.
If you have access to MetaLink, I would recommend you to have a look to Note 160378.1: Common causes of CDI-22582 during export/import in Designer 6i and 9i

I would like to know how can I enable create attachment function in GOS toolbar in Tcode KA03.
Currently it was grey out.
However, was tried to use the same function in KS03 and it works.Please help. Thanks!

In the transactions for displaying cost elements (KA03) and changing cost elements (KA02), the 'Services for Object' function does not work correctly, as most Generic Object Services are unavailable.
Other terms

Reason and Prerequisites
The problem is caused by a program error.
Solution
Implement the attached program corrections
Then go to Transaction SW01 (Business Object Builder), enter BUS1059 as the object type, click Change, and make the following changes:
Navigate to Methods -> RevenueType.Display, press F2 to select it, and go to the 'ABAP' tab page: Select the 'Transaction' radio button, enter the name as KA03, and click 'Save'
Navigate to Attributes -> Attribute properties, select the 'Mandatory' checkbox, and click 'Save'
Then change the release status by navigating as follows:
Edit -> Change Release Status -> Object Type -> To implemented
Edit -> Change Release Status -> Object Type -> To released
Then double-click BUS1059 (or select using F2) in SWO1 to reach the 'General' tab page, which should appear as follows:
ObjectType BUS1059 Revenue element
Object Name RevenueType
Program RBUS1059
Objtype status generated Saved released

Disable/Grey out a row in ABAP Objects

I have a reqmt where in which in the report -
when check box display BOM is checked only BOM components needs to be displayed in the output but should not allow user to select the row and make changes by pressing anybutton.
The display rows should get greyed out. How to achieve this functionality thru ABAP objects.

Open the particular page , and select dynamic navigation (from the right hand side corner Display drop down menu ) .
U will get all the links which r there in the detailed navigation.
and uncheck the visible property .

PDF password security greyed out while saving a PDF MP Navigator

Hello,
I am unable to set a password for pdf's that I scan with MP Navigator. I have been doing it for years, but now it has greyed out. It is not selectable. I recently upgraded my mobo and did a clean reinstall. The problem occurred before the upgrade and now remains despite full reinstalls of everything. The preferences button provides no way to turn passwords on or off. The Set... button shows password security also greyed out.
Win 7 Home premium 64 bit, 8GB, 250GB SSD root drive, Core i7. MP navigator EX 5.1. Pixma MP 895.

A simple way is to flatten the form fields, which converts the field appearances to regular page contents. You can do this with JavaScript or PDF Optimizer (Advanced > PDF Optimizer > Discard Objects > Flatten form fields). Can't open APPLICATION_SYSTEM folder in Repository Object Navigator

I am very new to Designer. I am facing a problem, which is stopping me at beginning itself. I did the following steps.
1. Installed designer 6i on Windows 2000 system.
2. Installed repository on the Oracle8i database running on a Windows NT 4.0 system
3. Enabled version support.
4. I used "View objects" utility, and all objects are valid and enabled.
5. I opened the "Repository Object Navigator"
6. Selected Work area called "GLOBAL SHARED WORKAREA". And I can see work area name, APPLICATION_SYSTEM and Wastebasket in navigator window. I can see the property of work area.
Up to here every things are OK. After that, If I click on the + mark of APPLICATION_SYSTEM, the following error massage will be displayed.

One other thing to try....
On this folder click on it once.
Apple + I to bring up information on the folder.
Scroll down to sharing and permissions.
Set your account to Read & Write.
Then on the little Gear icon at the bottom (to the right of the + - Icons) pull down that menu and Apply to Enclosed Objects.
I have seen several cases where if you don't have Write access to an app (or something within) you get the Unsupported architecture message incorrectly. Changing permissions like this fixes the problem if this is the case.

Have you verified that your Windows 8.1 is a Pro or Enterprise edition? The Basic edition cannot join a domain.

Oracle Data Objects greyed out

Hello, quick question about ODT 10.2.0.2.10 beta for .NET2005.
Oracle Data Objects are greyed out in my toolbox in web application. Also when I drag and drop table from Oracle Explorer onto the aspx form, all I get is text with Select statement.
At the same time, all this functionality works ok in windows form.
The same installation works ok in 2003, both web and windows forms.

In vs2005, in an ASP.NET web application, you will need to right click on the default.aspx, select "View Component Designer" from the context menu and this will launch the Component (Windows Forms) Designer and then the ODP.NET components in the toolbox will be enabled.
Let me know if this fixes your problem.

How to disable or grey out a link in detailed Navigation

Hi All,
We have requirement in which few of the links in are to be displayed as greyed out or disabled in detailed navigation and in navigational pages. This is to stop the users from accessing the link for sometime say for a week or so.
I have managed to grey out the link in navigational area. But couldnt find a way to do it from Detailed Navigation. If i click on the link on detailed navigation, it would open the applicaton.
Kindly help me on how to disable or grey out a link in detailed navigation.
