(Although I am employed by HP, I am speaking for myself and not for HP)

The solution works except that it is limited to a single page plus you don't have the option to select the ouput format. To me the solution is to get the driver for the printer working properly as it did when the product was first purchased.
I thought that the problem was limited to Windows 7/8 but I now find the same problem is happening running under XP.
I think the solution is to buy a non HP product where there is some form of assistance offered by the vendor as I am finding that HP isn't interested.

I tried your suggestion, and it's been giving me the message "Preparing for Backup" for the past 8 hours.  Does this mean TM is backing up my hard drive?  I'll give it a few more hours, but if nothing else happens, I'm not sure what else to do.  I'm not sure if there are any new external hard drives that are compatible with ML yet.

  • Issue with installing drivers for thinkpad t43

    good evening all.
i offered to help out a friends son by reinstalling a fresh copy of xp on his t43 as it wouldnt load due to virus's and what not.  everything went fine with the install apart from the fact that i cant seem get certian drivers to register.
In Device Manager under network adapters it is showing BCM5701 Gigabit ethernet and the device status is stating '' this device cannot start.
then under other devices its showing: multimedia audio controller, network controller, pci modem and unkown device
i have downloaded the files specific to the model, OS but can seem to find the fault
    ThinkPad T43 (2668-B12)
Operating System:Windows XP Service Pack 2  ( it is the xp pro edition)
is it worth reinstalling again or have others come across this and it is something i have missed?
    thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the forum!
Installing drivers on most ThinkPads is a two-step process: after you've ran the downloaded file, you must go into the Win subfolder and run the setup from there.
For instance, this is the applicable wireless (network controller) driver for that T43:
    http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/6hwc05ww.zip
After the download, you might have to go into C>Drivers>Win>Wlanint and run the setup.
Mutimedia audio controller is the sudio driver:
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-58599
    C>Drivers>Win>Audio
I suppose that you're catching the drift by now...
Before anything else, I'd *strongly* suggest that you install Intel chipset driver, and SATA power management driver.
    Good luck.
    Cheers,
    George

  • StatementTimeout support for  WebLogic Type 4 JDBC Drivers for Sybase

    All,
I am using the StatementTimeout property to limit the statement processing time for my data source.
It seems to be working for all other connection pools except Sybase.
The property documentation lists that it depends on support by underlying Driver.
Please confirm if the StatementTimeout prperty is supported by BEA's Type 4 Sybase Driver. In am using WLS 10.3

  • Is it possible (and as easy as for GPIB) to develop labview drivers for USB devices?

I dont want to use GPIB at all, just USB.
    Thank you in advance.

The best way to call your USB device would be through your USB driver. The third party device vendor should provide a driver (dll) that can be called from LabVIEW using Call Library Node.

  • Acrobat 10 Pro scanning issues

I just upgraded to Acrobat 10 Pro running snow leopard and Using HP officejet Pro 8500 for scanner. When I try to create a PDF from scanner through Acrobat I get three Choices. SANE, HP Scan, and Vuescan TWAIN.  If I select HP Scan or Vuescan it opens up those respective programs. If SANE is selected the following appears after a few moments.
After you click ok the following appears.
I previously installed(before the upgrade to Acrobat 10 from 8.0) the SANE driver but am wondering if I did something wrong. Not sure what I need to do to get Acrobat talking directly to the scanner. I have the latest drivers for the printer.
My goal is to be able to scan a document (create a PDF ) directly with Acrobat instead of sending the the scan through the other programs and then ulimately to acrobat where the document will be managed.
I had this set up this way when I had Acrobat 8.0 and before I upgraded to Snow Leopard which I am regretting right now as this is very frustrating after years of it working fine now I find myself dead in the water after an "upgrade" to the OS.  Can someone please help me get this thing working smoothly again.
From What I have read it might have something to do with TWAIN drivers but frankly I need step by step help to get me back up and running.

    Hi
You wrote "When I try to create a PDF from scanner through Acrobat I get three Choices. SANE, HP Scan, and Vuescan TWAIN.  If I select HP Scan or Vuescan it opens up those respective programs"  but did not disclose what happens after that. So, please tell if you are able to complete your scanning without any issues after HP Scanning software launches its dialog.
You also mentioned that you want Acrobat to directly scan from scanner without going through any other software. In this regard, I would like to tell you that, on Mac, Acrobat cannot handle scanning in Headless mode i.e without showing the scanner dialog. Although this works on Windows. Still, I would say it should be better than going through SANE. So, please let me know if you are able to scan directly with HP's genuine software.

  • Latest Release 265 Series Nvidia Drivers for Lenovo T61p?

I ran 3DMark06 this evening on my T9300 T61p and got my usual 4460 Benchmark Score .... however, the benchmark's results page today lists a newer Nvidia Quadro FX notebook series driver available for my WinXP 32-bit system directly from Nvidia.
At the Nvidia site it looks like it's Nvidia's Verde Notebook Release 265 Series v266.58 WQHL Certified display driver, released in January 2011, which claims support for notebooks using Quardro FX 570M graphics.
The Nvidia download site is found here:
    http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
I selected from the Nvidia Menu:
    Quadro , then
Quadro FX Series (notebooks) , then
    Quardro FX 570M , then
Quardro Graphics Driver , (from a choice of 5 different drivers for different scenarios), then
    Windows XP , then
    English , then
    Search
Anyone tried this driver setup yet?
Two (I used to have Five) - T61p 15.4" WS T9300 2.5Ghz units, August 08/08 Builds with FX570M Nvidia Graphics; ... One W520 i7-2860QM w/2000M Nvidia Graphics (most recent acquisition and stupidly fast); .... One - T42 4:3 15" Flexview 1.8GHz with ATI Graphics (still perfect for traveling); ... Two - T500 15.4" units both with ATI HD3650 Graphics.

My advice is proceed with caution. Latest drivers aren't always the best option. I'd also read the release notes and see what was done to them. Driver updates are often issued for non-issues and won't make any difference. Here is an example of a ficticous update reason.
Bugfix: driver cause BSOD crash on dell XPS model XXX to YYY when entering hibernation
Such an update would never be picked up by Lenovo because it won't matter to any lenovo computer, and if you constantly update to the latest drivers, you're not avoiding problems, your making yourself little more then a beta tester running new code that could turn out to be unstable.
My motto is...    if it's not broke, don't fix it!!!

  • Drivers for the Apple External Modem in 10.5

Hi all! I recently upgraded my system with Leopard. All seems to be great save for the fact I can't use the external Apple USB modem attached to my Macbook Pro. While I don't fax that much I do sometimes have to use it to receive faxes and such from others. Is there a driver update for this for Leopard? Thanks to all in advance for the help!
    Lance

The drivers for the Apple USB Modem are already installed along with Leopard..... I'm not sure why its not working.
Try opening up System Preferences - Network, and see if it shows up/if its enabled.
Other than that, I don't see why you should have any problems.

  • Acrobat 7 Pro Windows Scanning Issues for Non-Admins

    Hello,
We have several users that are having scanning issues. WE recently removed administrator rights from our end users and now for some reason Acrobat 7 Professional doesn't show any scanners in the list when they try to create a PDF from the scanner. Windows shows the scanner in the scanners and cameras section of the control panel. Any help would be appreciated.
    -Jared

I was able to install it on Win 7, even the 64-bit version. But neither AcroTray or the Adobe PDF print driver for AA 7 works on Win 7. That means you have to use workarounds to get things done if you succeed in installing. it is time for you to probably buy a new copy.

  • Had to reload drivers and updates for my HP scanjet G4050, I now enter image scan to scan photos but nowhere is there a "send" button to get them to iPhoto

Since loading Maverick and then, with the assist of Apple Support, I had to reload drivers and updates for my HP scanjet G4050, I now enter image scan to scan photos but nowhere is there a "send" button to get them to iPhoto.

Here are a couple of ideas:
    1. (my favorite) - connect the printer to the router with an Ethernet cable for virtually the same functionality, more speed and fewer connectivity issues.
    2. Reset by turning the printer off, holding # and 6 keys while and for a few seconds after turning it back on.

  • When will there be scan and fax drivers for kyocera FS-C2126 MFS

I am new to MAC OS X and was a bit astonished that the MFP printers manufactured by kyocera are not supported any more regarding scan and fax option. This was not really clear to me when I checked their driver homepage a few weeks ago. I managed to get at least printing work on my FS-C2126 with their drivers but kyocera support told me that scanning and fax is not supported under os x 10.7.x neither via USB nor via ethernet. From their side there's no plan to provide a new driver, they told me to ask apple about that issue. Thats a bit frustrating as the kyocera printers are commonly used in business environment and I cannot beleive that there should be no way to use them in combination with a mac...
Does anyone know a solution for these issues? Maybe a (commercial?) third party software? I could not find any clues in the internet. I already checked SANE for scandrivers but there are none.
What's your experience with apple regarding these things? Is it likely the'll provide drivers from their side?
    Any help is welcome.
    Regards
    Stefan

I totally agree but for whatever reason they don't at the moment....
I just read that apple is providing updated printer driver packages sometimes (they just released packages for samsung, canon, gestedner etc.) so it seems they do take care about these issues.

  • Link to Windows 8.1 Printer (Fax, Copy and Scan) Drivers for OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z

    Hello:
Need to know where I can find updated drivers for my OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z printer.   I am using Windows 8.1 operating system.
I have tried using the link at HP, but at the point that it supposedly gets to the install window, it asks me to insert the disc that came with the printer.  When I do that, I still get an error message saying something like "the link cannot be found."  I also get another message at some pont indicating that the full version needs to be uploaded.  Then, the same process starts all over again.   I should add that the printer disc says that it is compatible with XP, Windows 7 and other earlier versions, but not 8 or 8.1
I have tried this 6 or 7 times with the same result.  Dell (the company from which I bought the laptop) was useless and suggested I contact HP.
I can no longer scan, either, because the computer isn't recognzing that the printer has a scan function, so when I go to use PaperPort 12 to scan stuff, it doesn't recognize that a printer is attached.
Any help resolving these problems would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
