Workbench - Message Monitor

Hi,
I've got a question on the Message Monitor on the Runtime Workbench.
If I select a message and choose the details button it pops up a window with the message details. Yesterday this pop-up window had 3 tabs on it which among other things displayed the webservice commands and responses. Today after a system reboot it only displays a single tab with the basic message data.
Any idea on how to display the rest of the information?
Regards,
Liesel

Liesel,
yesterday you looked to messages in the adapter engine, today you look to messages of the intergration server.
Just this.
Check the list-box "Messages from Component" in the RuntimeWorkbench

  • Error in Message Monitoring

    Hello,
When I enter to "Runtime Workbench" -> Message Monitoring, I choose:
is.<instance_number>.<server_name> and press "display" button, then I get an error:
      "Unknown error: javax.ejb.CreateException: getJCOCLient
      (String,String)"
When I choose af.<sid>.<server_name> in the combo box, the problem doesn't exists.
    Please Advice,
    Dimitry Haritonov

    Hello,
Finally I solved the problem. Somehow adding parameter:
    -Duser.language=en
    solved the problem.
    instruction (note 768457):
    ==========================
"...Enter config tool, drill down to Instance_[ID] -> server_[ID] and add the parameter on the right side in the section 'Java parameters'"
After adding parameter, I stopped and started XI. Then the problem disappeared.
    Good luck,

  • Control Access in Message Monitoring

Can I control access to payload within PI-Message-Monitoring? The topic has been discussed already:  How to Control Access To Payload
    By using the "S_XMB_MONI-authorization-object" I can protect access to payload for certain messages, regardless of viewing it with Transcation "SXMB_MONI" or with "RuntimeWorkbench";
For me it is not clear, whether the "S_XMB_MONI-authorization-object" does only affect messages within the Integration-Server, or does it also work for messages in adapter-engine-message-monitoring? I mean, when using "Runtime-Workbench --> Message-Monitoring --> AdapterEngine..."?
    Regards, Josef

    Hi,
It works only for SXMB_MONI (ABAP stack), user on adapter engine can still see payload.
One hint I can give you to explore further, authorization on RWB are controlled by Visual Admin, you can explore something there to block user to view payload on RWB.
I am exploring it and will update you.

  • Details button does not work in RWB Message Monitoring

    Hi,
    I am getting
'Runtime error - details is null or not an object'
client-side javascript error message, when I select a message and press the 'Details' button in the runtime workbench message monitoring. The message details do not show up. I am using XI 3.0 SP12.
Any idea how we can fix this javascript error?
    Thanks in advance,
    Suresh.

There is an issue where messages are visible at ABAP Stack(SXMB_MONI).But same messages are not visible at RWB Message monitoring Integration server(IE and AE) Level.
Check if you have chosen the Status filter as ALL and not "Error".
If you are loking for old messages, then you will not be able to see succesful messages beyond a particular period in the past, since all the succesful messages would have been archived.
To see such messages, you have to choose, the option, show message from "Archive" and not "Database".

  • Messages on Holding at Message Monitoring under Runtime Workbench

    Hello Colleagues,
we have currently the problem that a lot of messages for some interfaces are in status Holding under Message Monitoring at Runtime Workbench for PI 7.1.
I'm not able to resend the messages with status Holding as well as change status to cancel.
Quality of Service for the Interfaces are Exactly Once in Order.
I assume an error message blocks the queue and due to the fact we have Exactly Once in Order configured all following messages be in status Holding.
    Is my assumption right?
But, I am not abel to find any messages in status error with blocks the queue!
How can I solve that issue?
    Many thanks in advance!
    Jochen

I assume an error message blocks the queue and due to the fact we have Exactly Once in Order
configured all following messages be in status Holding.
AE should have least number of EOIO messages at a given instance...otherwise Holding is what you get.....and holding is common with EOIO....so see if you can chagne the QoS of some messages to EO
But, I am not abel to find any messages in status error with blocks the queue!
Never you will get an error in SXMB_MONI....or the queue blocked....
When your message goes out of IE...the corresposding message entry is marked with chequered flag...observe in MONI you will see this....however in AE the message can fail if not able to send to the target system....
For some more understanding refer my answer in this thread:

  • Seeburger Workbench access - restrict users to Message Monitor only

    Hi All
Does anyone know if it's possible to restrict users to Message Monitor only access in the Seeburger Workbench?

    Hi Andy,
if by "restrict" you mean if you can change the links available in the workbench, then sadly no - this is currently not possible. If you're ok with getting a HTTP Forbidden when clicking on other links than the Message Monitor, then yes - this can be configured within the SAP NetWeaver Administrator -> Identity Management. Check for example to documentation of the Message Monitor
    Extracted from there:
Log on to the NetWeaver Administrator (NWA).
Open Operation Management | Users and Access | Identity Managemet (UME).
Create a role and assign the manage action for com.seeburger.xi.frontend.messageidmonitor to that role.
Now you can assign the newly created role to any user you want to grant access to the SEEBURGER Message ID Monitor.
This is for explicitly granting some user the access to the Message Monitor. The manage action is per default set to "Everyone". You need to remove Everyone on the corresponding frontends (search for actions with name com.seeburger.xi.frontend*)
    Hope that helps
    Greetings

  • In Message Monitoring Message showing holding status

    Hi
Can anyone solve this problem. Its urgent for me.
    My scenario is IDoc->XI->FILE
The file i am trying to generate is an xml file which i am dropping in XI application server using File system.
The problem is when i am going to see the message using transaction SXMB_MONI the perticular message interface is showing waiting for acknowladgement status .
But in message monitoring in runtime workbench the it is showing following status:
    Adapter Engine
    <b>Holding</b>
    18.11.2005 05:42:09
    CORP_SAP_DR2_030 http://limited.com/usa/sap_appl/retail/VendorsSAPAPOToMANU
    MIIA_Create
    BS_MANU
    I am in SP14.
Also the output xml file is not getting created in the XI application server.
Please let me know the solution.
    Thanks
    Debraj Roy

    Hi Debraj
HOLDING is a status which occurs normally for EOIO (Exactly Once In Order), so your message is set to Holding means some earlier message has not gone through. So until those messages are through this message will be in HOLDING state.
Have a look at this link which explains how to handle such scenarios.

  • Java.lang.OutOfMemoryError during message monitoring in RWB

Java Engine Problem during message monitoring in runtime workbench!!
Posted: Nov 12, 2007 2:13 AM     Edit      E-mail this message      Reply
    Hi,
Our integrating processes are processing successfully.
But there is a problem during message monitoring.
When I use message monitoring in RWB,
Integration Engine monitoring has no problem.
But there is a problem during displaying adapter engine monitoring.
The message is "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space".
So I cannot see any adapter engine message.
Actually same error occurred 3 weeks ago.
At that time, we solved the problem with restarting java service.
Does anyone know about this appearance?
And is there any other solution about this problem??
    Thank you.

    Hi,
As per the error analysis, it seems that the java heap space is low. So need to increase the heap size.
    1. Go to the C:\SAP\JP1\JC00\j2ee\configtool folder
    2. Start configtool.bat
    3. Go to cluster-data -> template - template_javaee -> instance - IDxxxxx
    4. Go to the VM Parameters tab and edit the maxHeapSize property
    5. Save and restart the system.
I hope this will solve the problem.

  • Message Monitoring Tool in RWB for Integration Engine Messages not working

    Hi all
We currently work on a Pi 7.11 system. I f we start the runtime workbench and going to the message monitoring, we want to get in to a message in the integration engine.  Normaly we should get the same sxi_monitor in the web browser, but we only get the soap envelope. The pipeline steps on the  left side and also the payload cannot be seen.
We increased the rights of the user to sap_all but this did not changed anything. We also implemented the J2EE monitoring rule.
Seems to me as we forgot a setting after installation, but which??
Thanks in advance for  your help.
    Oliver

    Hi Oliver,
I work on PI 7.0 and I know it's very different from 7.1x releases, but your problem sounds like a similar "problem" on 7.0.
Is your message sycronous? At PI 7.0 the default configuration is defined to remove the payload of sync messages. You can change it on JAVA Visual Administrator.
Try to find this parameter in Java Visual Administrator and set it to "false", below you will find the PI 7.0 path to this:
Server >> Services >> SAP XI AF Messaging >> messaging.syncMessageRemover.removeBody
    I hope it helps,

But first column's radio buttons are not displaied.
I need to show radio button.
    thanks.

    hi,
this problem might due to your jdk version installed chk whether it is 1.4.2.x if it is more than it den re install the above mentioned version since dat does support n bcoz of which the radio buttons are not being shown.

  • Resend Message from Seeburger message monitoring

    Hi friends,
I want to know that is there any possiblity of resending the message from Seeburger message monitoring tool.
One of the messages failed due to a problem in sender ID.
I want to resend this message. is it possible ?
Note: Message send out successfully from communcation channel to AS2 adapter.
    Thanks
    Sunil.

    Hi Sunil,
Please let me know what error you can see in Seeburger Workbench.
In My view you can see the below type of error with State u201CError on send, will be retriedu201D
If Any Message failed in AS2 Adapter may be due to any reason
    1. Wrong Sender/ Receiver ID
    2. Wrong URL
    3. Firewall rules are not in place
    4. Partner Production site is down and you are unable to connect to him
Messages with above errors will appear with Success Flag in SXMB_MONI. But they will be caught by Seeburger Adapter and will be in the Error Status in SEEBURGER WORK BENCH
The only way to find/restart those messages is go to Runtime Work Bench Messages Monitoring --> Messages form Component (Adapter Engine) ---> System Error Status.
Any Message which failed in Seeburger Level can be seen only in Runtime Workbench.
    Regards,
    Rama.

  • Clean Seeburger Message Monitor

    Hi all,
I have a lot of old message in Seeburger Message monitor. For instance many "Error on send, will be retried" that have been there since 2012. Can I clean this log?

    Hi,
Seeburger Workbench is an additional layer to monitor message transmission using AS2.
    This can be accessed at:
    http://server:port/seeburger/index.html
    Scenario: From partner ->XI->R/3
In this case, message has to be checked at these levels:
    Seeburger Monitor->RWB Message Monitor->SXI_MONITOR->R/3
    Scenario: R/3 ->XI->To partner
In this case, message has to be checked at these levels:
    R/3 -> SXI_MONITOR -> RWB Message Monitor -> Seeburger Monitor
Hence,in order to have a successful message transmission,a message has to be successful at all these levels.
Kindly let me know if this is fine.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Shweta
