Workbench Not Opening...Asking to save Workbench.jsp

Ok ubber MII gurus....need some help on this one.
So it seems that the workbench will not open on a 12.0 b03 system  instead i am being asked to save or open the JSP. So i'm assuming it has something to do with the JDK not being registered correctly.
Some other problems are this...not Java options comes up in Contorl Panel, No Java folder is in Start->Programs, No Java Console is in IE or in the IE advanced settings.
Java is however installed and i'm assuming running becaues NetWeaver seems to know it's there.
OS: Win2k3 Server 64 Bit
JDK: 1.4.2_18 64bit
NW:  7.0 SP3
MII: 12.0 b03
Any suggestions would be appreciated....
Thank You,
AP

Jeremy: The Registry entry is in there...
Erik: tried running "javaws" but no luck, it's not found. Get an error saying it can't find it.
Mike: I think that link might be on to something, but they don't specifiy if they were using the 64bit version of the JDK.
Here is the install i have been using which seems to be a specific JDK developed for SAP by SUN: [http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/SAPsite/download.html|http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/SAPsite/download.html]
If we are to attempt a java uninstall and reinstall of 1.4.2_17 are there any gotchas that you all know of for NetWeaver?
Thanks...

  • Why are some of my links not opening when I save a document as a pdf?  They are opening in word.

The links are opening in microsoft word documents but when I save the document to a pdf some of the links are not opening.  The links are containing % or lots of extra numbers.  How can I prevent this from happening?

What is your operating system?  Reader version?  How do you convert to PDF?
You write that "some" of the links don't open; what's the difference with links that do open?

  • Photoshop CC not opening - asking for license or to start trial

All the sudden, PS is not opening. Bridge opens, but not PS. Wants me to start trial, or enter serial # ... which I don't know.  What's the problem?

Welcome to the club. The whole CC licensing subsystem is crawling with bugs, and this is one of the most annoying. Which is too bad, because it's a brilliant and very user-friendly system when it works as advertised.
The CC forum is full of this. The latest official fix seems to be this one. This particular fix is Windows only (didn't help me on Win 7 though). But Macs are affected equally:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/unable-login-creative-cloud-248.html
But the diagnosis given there seems to be correct. I'm signed out whenever I connect a certain external USB drive. So I don't do that, and since I stopped doing it I have remained signed in. Others have been signed out changing network connection. The common element seems to be a slight change in hardware status.
I'm sitting it out, waiting for an update or a more conclusive fix.

  • How to not be asked to save unchanged documents?

New MacBook with Leopard Snow. Files from an old iMac Panther. In Pages, opening old Claris Works .cwk files, when there's no changes I'm asked to discard or save changes. When there have been changes made I can't just just save, I'm given the save dialogue box as if I said save as, and it doesn't even remember where the document was from, I have to refind it. Both of these things are asoundingly annoying.
Can anyone tell me please, how to stop this happening? I guess one way is to install Claris Works. That way the person who uses it will never be able to upgrade OS though as Leopard Snow is the last to be able to run older software. So I'm wondering if there's something I can do to Pages?
    Thanks.

When you open an Appleworks (previously ClarisWorks) file in Pages (or Numbers) you're creating a new document. If you discard changes, the Pages document will be deleted; the change was the creation of the document.
If you accept the save, you will get the normal dialogue asking for a name and location.
You will then have a Pages document and an AppleWorks document.
There is no further need to open that particular AW file again
It will occur each time you open a AW (CW) file in iWork, once per file unless you discard the changes and then open the same file again.
You could if you wish install AppleWorks 6.2.9 if you can find it. However, once converted to iWork formats the only use for the old AW files is as an archive.
In other words, no you can't get round it, but you only need to do it once per file.

  • Why does Iphoto 8.1.2 not open & ask for an upgrade?

I was running iPhoto 8.1.2 on my IMAC purchased in 2009 fine until I had a HDD crash and needed to reinstall it from the ILife disk that came with it.  I no longer can open it on my IMAC running 10.7.5 as I get these errors:
    and
What do I need to do?

and what version o iPhoto do you currently have installed? Probably 8.0.0 - you need to update to he version you had before you reinstalled - 8.1.2 - and then everything will be fine
If you want to upgrade to Mavericks go ahead ands purchase iPhoto '11 version 9.5.x in the App store - but there is not need to do that if you are happy with what you have - simply update iPhoto to 8.1.2

  • Final Cut Pro X will not open:  Asking to "restore windows"???

    Hey guys,
I have restarted, updated and done everything I can to get Final Cut Pro X (10.0.1) to open and I keep getting this alert >>> PHOTOBUCKET.  I have done nothing new to my hardware or software (other than apples updates) since installing it a month ago from the app store.
The alert keeps asking me to either "Don't Restore Windows" or to "Restore Windows" and I clicked on both numerous times and I still get the "Final Cut Pro quit unexpectedly" alert which looks like this >>> PHOTOBUCKET after about 10 seconds of selecting either option.
    Any ideas?  -Joe

Have you tried trashing your preferences?
Unexplained faults like this can often be fixed by clearing out FCP X's preferences (for some reason, they get knotted up from time to time).
Download Digital Rebellion's Preference Manager (free, simple to use, and perfectly safe, both to download and use).
With Preference Manager, you can backup the Prefs first, then if trashing makes no difference, you can restore all your settings.
If you trash them and don't restore them, you will need to manually restore all your FCP X settings again, so it's a great idea to backup Preferences from time to time when FCP X is working well, then if they get corrupted you can ditch the bad prefs and restore from your (Digital Rebellion) backup.
Can't guarantee it, but it's worth a try.

  • ITunes 10.5 Will Not Open, asks to make changes to computer.

I have not been able to open iTunes for over a month on my PC. The problem started a few days after the 10.5 update. Whenever I try to open iTunes a window comes up and says, "Do you want this program to make changes to your computer?" clicking yes or no makes no difference, nothing happens. Also, a yellow/blue shield has appeared on the desktop icon of iTunes. I have tried re-installing iTunes but it does not help. I also tried the "troubleshoot compatibility" option and it tabled iTunes as an "incomplete application". I have no idea what to do to solve this problem. Help would be very much appreciated.

I have the same problem on XP 32.  After installing the new version of iTunes and IOS 5 on my iPad, it deleted everything on the iPad, had to re-installed everything.  The backup option on iTunes is/was not working.
I also a a docking station for the laptop and when the USB cable attached to the docking station to the iPad or iPod, iPhone it does not work.  I have to use a USB port directly on the laptop.   This never happen on IOS 4.xx?
iTunes has many option disabled, can not do backup for iPad, iPod or iPhone, it starts doing it than it freezes everytime.
    I wish I NEVER went to IOS5.....

  • My application will not open or create an Excel report.

When I run the vi in LabView, it runs fine, and It will open Excel and/or save an Excel report depending on what I select on the express vi for report generation. After I build it with application builder, it runs like normal and displays the resulst on the front panel, but it does not open Excel or save an Excel file for a report. I get an error 7 and the source is listed as "New Report.vi -> subMS Office Report Block.vi -> MS Office Report.vi -> sound.vi" where sound.vi is my top level vi. I have added the _excel dynamicvis.vi and _word dynamicvis.vi as dynamic vi's and I've added _excelsub.llb and _wordsub.llb as support files. I searched for the new report.vi and added the library it was in as a support file. I have saved sound.vi as a library and included vi.lib files, external subroutines, and run-time menus, and I used this version of the sound.vi and added sound.llb as a support file. Is there anything else I'm forgetting?

    Hello mwallace,
The behavior you are seeing is probably due to one of the VIs being added as a support file instead of a dynamic VI. When adding a file as a dynamic VI, Application builder will ensure that all subVIs are included.
The following knowledgebase examples this issue in some more detail.

  • MII 12.2 workbench does not open, only ask to open/save workbench.jsp

    Hi Experts:
I found an answered question in the forum about my problem, but it didnt help me. It was posted 3 years ago. So SAP
    So here I go
I was working fine with the mii 12.2.2 workbench using J2EE 7 and suddenly the workbench presented this problem
I received a system message about to open or save workbench.jsp,
I uninstall Java and install JDK 1.6.021 due other clients have this version without problems, so I compared with one of them browser settings and java settings. The same question persist. I unistalled 1.6.021 and installed the same as the server 1.5.0222.
We already installed the last patches from dec 15, 2011, and still not working.
I already clean the java console, and inside it I set the network to Direct Connection.
    The MII server is
    OS: Win2008 Server 64 Bit
    JDK: 1.5.0222 32bit
    NW: 7.11 CE SP7
    MII: 12.2.3.1
    IE8

    JDK: 1.6.021 bit32

    MII: 12.2.3.1
    IE 9
Can you help me please. I need to continue work and go live next week.
    Thank you

    Hi
    Thank you for answer.
I used 3 different kind of JVM 5.022, 6.021 and J2EE 7. The workbench was working fine until last week,
I dont receive any error message, only that I have to save/open workbench.jsp, I tried to save or open or even cancel and workbench did not open.
I clean Java Console, I remove applets, I delete files from IE 9, I run the ccleaner, uninstall google bar, compare my java and ie explorer configurations with other clients that is working. I set network connection in java as Use browser configuration and Direct connection, nothing works.
I read even these threads and follow the directions in there

The problem here is that I will go live on Jan 16th, and the only way I can develop is on site connectig to server via remote.
I dont know what to do.
    Thank you

  • Adobe Reader 11.0.5 asks to save every file I open...

Every time I open a file just to look at it: When I exit, Adobe Reader asks if I want to save the file. This happens on every file I open, regardless of the source or type of PDF. It also happens when I open those files in Adobe Acrobat Pro, version 9. This has only started relatively recently. I didn't pay much attention at first, because I had other things on my mind, but now it is starting to concern me.
This reminds me of (way back in the day) when there were Word viruses going around which tried to install themselves in every Word document you opened.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this, or how I can get it to stop?

This phenomenon can happen with PDF files that have errors in them.  Adobe Reader or Acrobat may be able to fix these errors, but if you close the application, it will ask to save the corrected file.  If you save it once, that should no longer occur when you open it again.
This is just one explanation, but it doesn't explain why that happens with every PDF you have.
Test: does it also happen with a PDF that is not supposed to contain any errors: http://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/adobe_reader_reference.pdf ?

  • Regarding Firefox 4 does not ask to save tabs and windows on exit even after trying all suggestions

After installing Firefox 4, Firefox would no longer ask to save tabs and windows on exit. Even after trying all suggestions to resolve the problem, the problem continued. Under the corrupted files suggestion to rename two files, that also did not help. The original file names would be recreated automatically, so both file name versions would exist in that folder. NOTHING resolves the problem.
Unfortunately, since that is a very desirable feature I, like other people who do not like Firefox 4, have gone back to an earlier version of Firefox.

You can set the warn prefs on the about:config page to true via the right-click context menu or toggle with a double left-click.
    * browser.showQuitWarning, see http://blog.zpao.com/post/3174360617/about-that-quit-dialog
    * browser.tabs.warnOnClose, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/About%3Aconfig_entries
    * browser.warnOnQuit , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnQuit
    * browser.warnOnRestart , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnRestart
    * browser.startup.page , seehttp://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.startup.page (1 or 2)
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get back the previous session.<br />
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page.
    Another possibility is to use:
*Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"
