Workbench setvalue

setvalue step in workbench process:
I am formatting the body of an email. I have a US mailing address.
Name
AddressLine1
AddressLine2
City State Zip
In the setvalue, how can I move City State Zip up one line to AddressLine2 if AddressLine 2 is blank?
Thanks.

I tried concat(/process_data/@checkit,string-length(/process_data/@checkit) > 0).
What I ended up with was "addressTRUE" for the value in the address2 field.
I might not be doing what you intended.
I see how to test the string length and get a boolean value, but I need to move the city, state and zip into the address2 field if address2 is null.
Thanks.

  • Passing parameters to a workbench process invoked by watched folders

    I am trying to pass values to a workbench process that is invoked by watched folders. What I need to be able to do is at least provide a path (string) to the process so that it knows where to store one of the result files. This value is not always the same and for reasons that I don't want to get into, I don't want to use an "output" variable to send it to the watched folder's "result" folder.
    So, I had the idea of saving the value in a text file with a standard name (same for each call to the process) and my process would look for this file and import the file contents into a string variable. I wasn't able to do this.
    #1 I haven't found a way to store the file content of an existing document variable into a string variable. Is this possible?
    #2 I tried using the "Read String" service to read the contents from the file and store them into a string variable. Should be pretty straight forward, right? Turns out the process would just hang when trying to read the file into a string. I then tried changing the output variable from type 'string' to type 'document' and whammo, it worked. The variable logger showed the correct file contents. So it appears that "Read String" and "Read Document" do the exact same thing; read a file into a *document* variable! So now I'm stuck with issue #1 again...
    Any suggestions? I have version 8.0.1 of LiveCycle installed.

    Let's take a step back here.
    The Read String activity will read the content of a file that contains strings into a STRING variable. In fact you need to provide a variable of type string for the output results.
    I think the problem is that your trying to read XML content which is not treated as a string by LiveCycle.
    If you want to read XML content then use the Read Document activity. It'll put the content of the XML in a document variable. Then you can use a SetValue and put the content of the document variable into a XML variable and use xPath to get to the value you need.
    /process_data/myXML = /process_data/myDocument
    You have to use a XML variable if you want to use xPath. xPath won't work on a string variable since the string content doesn't really have structure. You need a XML variable which gives you the structure.
    If you really want to, you can convert the XML into a string (using the serialize xPath function) and have the XML treated as a string but I don't think that's what you're trying to do.

  • Error in installing Workbench 8.2. Trial..

    I am facing the same problem. I have ensured that I have followed all the steps given in the installation mannual. This clearly indicates there is some thing wrong with the workbench installble (trail version). I do not know is it by design (intentionally done by Adobe it self). If it is so, its shame on Adobe.

  • Deployment Workbench - how to capture an image after customisation?

    I have deployed Vista to a machine using WinPE (Created through Workbench) and chose the option when deploying "Prepare for capture"
    I then customised Vista - in this case removing the Fax applications and ran Sysprep with OOBE, Generalise and Shutdown.
    In workbench I created a new task sequence 'Standard Client Replace task sequence' which seems to be the right task to capture an image.
    When selecting the task when booting the machine with WinPE, it forces me to capture the user data - I cannot select 'Do not save data and settings'
    I must be doing something wrong!
    What I want to do is:
    Deploy Vista
    Install some apps manually i.e. not using a task sequence
    Capture the image
    Deploy to machines
    How can I do this using Workbench? Thanks.

    Hi,
    Thank you for the reply.
    I suggest referring to the following article:
    Creating a Computer Image
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb977918.aspx
    If you select “Capture an image of this reference computer” on the “Specify whether to capture an image” page when running Deployment Wizard, it will sysprep and capture the system for you automatically.
    If you would like to
    “Install Vista and prepare for capture
    Install my own applications WITHOUT using task sequences
    Capture the OS”,
    I am afraid that you do not need to use MDT (you cannot perform a LTI without running Task Sequences). You can do this by only using WDS.
    1.   Install and configure the WDS Server.
    2.   Add the default Windows Server 2008 boot image to the WDS Server.
    3.   Create Capture Boot Image and add it to boot image in WDS Server.
    4.  Create a reference computer (install the operating system, applications, and make any other changes)
    5.  Sysprep.
    6.  PXE boot the reference computer into capture image on the boot screen and then capture the image (If non-PXE supported, make a discover image to boot)
    7.  Upload the captured image to WDS server.
    8.  Clients can PXE boot and install Windows (If non-PXE supported, use a discover image to boot).
    Hope it helps.

  • Previewing views in BSP WD Component Workbench

    I am developing a component with many views in the BSP WD Component Workbench (BSP_WD_CMPWB).
    In order to test each individual view or window, it would be helpful to test it in isolation, but I can only seem to test the application as a whole. Are there any ways in the system to display a view or window in isolation?

    Hello Martin,
    When u click on test component, it connects directly to the default window(usually main window). If you want to see different views individually, you need to create different windows and then create view navigations which will be a bit complicated. On the other hand, create separate components and with separate windows and views.
    This is the only way you can see the views individually.
    You might have assigned all the views to the same window until now which makes it impossible to view them in different browser.
    Thanks
    Vishal

    I don't know what is wrong.<br>
    I have configured:<br>
    - SLDCHECK work properly,<br>
    - none of the users PI* type not lock,<br>
    - password to the PI* users in exchangeProfile entered correctly,<br>
    - In VA in the JCo RFC Provider I have properly configure: AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER, LCRSAPRFC, SAPSLDAPI_SID - from the ABAP I can connect to this programs ID<br>
    - In VA in SLD Data Supplier I have properly configure bookmarks HTTP Settings and CIM Client Generation Settings. CIMClient Test is OK<br>
    <br>
    I do not know what else I can see, what else I have properly configured ... I looked at the notes:: 936093 jak i 721548...<br>
    <br>
    <br>
    2. I can't send data from XI to SLD, ie makes me a system definition in Web As Abap and Web as Java but nothing appear to me in Exchange Infrastructure. Exchange Infrastructure is empty - what is wrong??<br>
    I carried out the recommendation by 764176 and 1031321 notes<br>
    <br>
    I restart below applications (no effect)...<br>
    com.sap.xi.directory (Integration Builder/Configuration)<br>
    com.sap.aii.af.app (Adapter Engine)<br>
    com.sap.xi.rwb (Runtime Workbench)<br>
    com.sap.xi.repository (Integration Builder/Design)<br>
    <br>
    Can I ask for help and guidance in these topics?<br>

    RP<br>

    I increased logging in the NWA (Configuration -> Log Configuration) - and increased the some things here to log ALL. So that from the NWA (Monitoring -> Logs and Traces) I see a little more information (but does not follow that with which the user is a problem).<br>
    <br>
    Here are some interesting logs ...<br>
    I was most rash or irritation of those that say about the lack of credentials u2013 I must use Viusal Administrator and set good service ...<br>
    <br>
    What do I have done:<br>
    In the Visual Administrator -> Cluster -> Server -> Services -> SLD Data Supplier<br>
    I have set in the HTTP Settings tab the host and port SLD, the user name and password is also entered as it is in the SLD. To be sure, already have set for the user entered here such roles as:<br>
    SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR<br>
    SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR<br>
    SAP_SLD_DEVELOPER<br>
    SAP_SLD_GUEST<br>
    SAP_SLD_ORGANIZER<br>
    Maybe we are talking in this place about a different user?<br>
    <br>
    Similarly, when it comes to tab CIM Client Generation Settings - here's all the same thing done. CIMClient test shows that everything is OK.<br>
    When I click the button: This trigger the transfer of data to the SLD gets the message that everything was shipped correctly. Indeed, I received an instance of JAVA in SLD<br>
    Also clicked on this icon: Assign application roles to user group - got information that everything is attached properly.<br>
    <br>
    By ABAP side, the connections: INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI, SAPSLDAPI, LCRSAPRFC, AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER and AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER work correctly, ie I can perform the test - which means that programs ID are properly positioned in JCO Provider in VA.<br>
    <br>
    Puzzling is this message:<br>
    The SLD data is inconsistent.<br>
    <br>
    Strange also that the message (from the ABAP everything is available in SMGW no errors):<br>
    Connect to SAP gateway failed<br>
    <br>
    And what is this error:<br>
    <br>

    Hi Swaroop ,
    We are currently using jre 1.6.31 or versions of 1.7.45.We have already tried few workarounds regarding this with enabling certain Java settings ,but nothing has worked till now.What I feel that this could be some java setting on server system issue or netweaver cache isn't cleared .
    Please fnd below screenshots as your request

  • Questions on workbench versioning

    I learned the hard way that one should not really be using designer in workbench to modify forms, due to the version incrementing with each save and possible database bloat that could result.  Knowing that, the following questions come to mind:
    1.  Can I limit the number of versions of a form that are stored?
    2.  Can I clean out older versions of a form??
    3.  When I delete a form (or file) from the resources pane, let's say it's at version 15, are all previous versions of that file deleted too?  Or do they hang around in the tables as orphans?
    If the answers to questions 1 and 2 are "no", then I would really like to see a utility, perhaps in adminUI, to handle this.
    Thanks!
    Elaine

    Mostly correct, Howard.  Here's my dilemma.  Because I am currently
    working locally on jboss, the sys tables are stored locally and I don't
    want extra forms / files sitting in there unnecessarily.  Unfortunately I
    can't do anything about this giving the capabilities of the current tool.
    Additionally, I don't think it's the end-users responsibility to write an
    API to manage that aspect of the system tables - I strongly believe that
    that is the responsibility of the tool (or adobe) to provide us with these
    utilities.
    Because of the limitation, I am changing how I move artifacts to the
    server.  I end up deleting a resource on dev first, and then replacing the
    resource by dragging it back in there.  But if I delete a resource that is
    a fragment, and drag the new fragment onto the server (same name, same
    relative path), the form that uses the fragment is now in a broken state
    because it can't resolve to the fragment path even though the relative
    pathing is correct.  Now I have to edit the form on the server (in
    workbench), repoint to the fragment and save the form.  Now I have version
    1.1 of the form, and can't delete version 1.0!   I hope that makes sense.
    We have a search fragment that will be sitting inside of every form we
    develop.  The search fragment is very volatile right now as it is in a
    state of development / change.  So as we keep changing it and replacing it
    on the server, I don't want to have to modify every form that uses the
    fragment.
    So as  you can see, this is getting to be a real issue for me.
    If there's a better way for me to manage server resources and keep the sys
    tables from bloating, please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Elaine

  • How to allow users to run infopackage without giving access to Workbench

    Hi,
    I have certain infopackages which I want to give access to users to run. It mainly relates to loading of flat files which they want to be able to execute when they want and also loading the P&L  data from R/3.
    I am on 3.5..I don't want the users to have access to do anything else on the Admin workebench.
    what is the best way? Is there a program or tcode which I can give access to the users where they specify the infopackage name and run it.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Create a role in transaction pfcg. Goto authorization tab-> change authorization data-> manual entry of authorization objects -> give the standard authorization object 's_rs_admwb'.
    This autho-object is for protecting DWWB objects.
    Inside this object , you will have option 'data warehouse workbench object' . Click change.. select 'infopackage'. In the activity you can give options display and execute. Save the authorization and generate profile. In the user tab, give the user ids of those who need to execute the infopackage. This should work exactly for your requirement..
    Regards,
    Krishna.
