Workbook cannot be saved after adjustments

Question

Dear Expert,
My problem is as following:
1. create a workbook which contains a query.
2. change the workbook(such as format color etc.) and press save button.
3. there is no error messages from the system (seems successfully saved).
4. reopen the workbook and the workbook has not been changed at all.
Could you please provide any suggestions? Thank you.

Gavin,
when you open the workbook up, it should be listed in your favorites (or the role - if you save it there) - does it have the updated date in it?
additionally, make sure you are using the Save Workbook As function - as it should prompt you to overwrite the existing workbook (BEx save button doesn't work exactly the same way as the excel save button).
