Workbook doesn't pick up latest version of query automatically
Hi all
has anyone come across the problem in BI7 where an alteration to a query already existing in a workbook is not automatically picked up.
My workbook continues to use the old version of the query, unless I remove it and respecify it within the workbook.
Is there something I should be doing to tell the workbook to pick up the latest version?

No worries - when you select Properties you should get a dialogue box with four tabs. Display - Interaction - Column Width and Information. Select the Interaction one, looks like the Return to Global Definition on refresh is not selected (which is the default).
If you select it, save your workbook and then refresh your query - you should see the current version of your query in the workbook.

System Update 5.02.007 doesn't pick the latest updates

Today I did a fresh install of Win 7 on T400 and install System update 5.02.007. But it didn't pick up the latest updates.
Does anyone if this is a known issue or what could be a problem for not picking up latest updates?

Just to rule it out, when you launch TVSU, open up Services and check the state of the System Update service.
I'm running the latest version of TVSU, which autoupdated itself the other day, and it's working fine. Under Services, when TVSU is not running, the service is not running. For reference, the service's start-up type is listed as Manual (Trigger start), and as soon as I launch TVSU (from the Control Panel) the service goes into a running state. When I quit, it stops.
If you don't see the service start, a test might be to start it and then try launching TVSU.

10.1.3.3PL/SQL editor doesn't get the latest version of package from the db
I have weird problem with 10.1.3.3.
I edited PL/SQL packaga in JDeveloper. After that another user edited the same package in the database and saved it from his JDeveloper. When I try to open it on my PC now, I see the version I saved, not the new version.
I open the same package in Toad, and I see the latest version.
No matter how many times I try to open and close PL/SQL package, I always get old version, as if it's cached in JDeveloper. To get the new version, I need to disconnect from the database and connect again.
Is this a bug? Is there some parameter saying 'don't cache PL/SQL source'?Hi,
if you right mouse click on the "Package" node in JDeveloper and choose "Refresh" if this then doesn't show the new package, then its a bug

HELP, My SWF doesn´t work in latest versions of IE and Safari
I have a swf made in Flash CS4. It works fine in firefox and older versions of flash player in IE, but it doesn't work in recent versions of IE and Safari In this case just I can hear the music.

FF doesn't show the latest version of a website, Explorer does. Where can I change this option?
Please check www.megasound.dk in FF and then in Explorer. The Explorer version is the recent and correct version. The FF version is an old version. Is there an option in FF, "show the latest version of a website"?

Large illustrator file doesn't open anymore, latest version 18
All of a sudden a large illustrator file (800 Mb) will not open because it says 'can't open the illustration' no further reason is given.
Opening the dil in Photoshop succeeds so does placing in Indesign and export the file to pdf and it will open in Illustrator. Though doing this I'm losing my layers (quiet a lot) and specific thickness of lines etcetera.
I'm using the latest version of Illustrator in the cloud on my mac.
Please give me a clue how to be able to use the file again!?

One thing often tried first is to create a new document and File>Place the corrupted one to see how much may be rescued that way (remember to tick Paste remembers Layers in the Layer palette flyout/dropdown first, and to untick it afterwards).

SCCM Client doesn't update to latest version.

I've been trying to update the client version from .1000 to .1600 following our CU5 update.
I'm not wanting to use the automated client update so have created a new package from definition for the Client Update and test deployed this to a few PCs.
The job runs succesfully, ccmsetup.log looks for all intents and purposes like it has completed and everythings worked. The client however remains at version .1000 and so do all the components.
The new client files seem to be in place in C:\Windows\CCMSetup and has the correct version there, just the installed client is not updated.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions to resolve this?

I'm actually checking the version on the client itself, I have a test lab of PCs so can physically access and check. So the information is coming from control panel, ccm client applet and the general tab, also checked the components tab as well to be sure.
It was one of my colleagues who ran the CU5 upgrade and I believe he did choose to generate the new version, however in this case, I created a new package using the create new package from definition and used the Configuration Manager Client Upgrade (v5.0)
wizard to create a new package which I then distributed and deployed to my test PCs.
I can see the correct version of the client setup in the package (version .1600) and once the deployment runs on my PC, I have a version .1600 ccmsetup in my c:\windows\ccmsetup folder. It appears to run but doesn't increment the client version locally on
the client and also the console shows version .1000 even after trying a DDR cycle (didn't really expect it to run seeing as the client itself reports .1000).

I had the original version of iPhoto, that came with my MacBook Pro (Mac OS X 10.6.8). My software is up to date. This has been happening since our hard drive was repaired. I had to reinstall the iphoto, but it still doesn't work.
The latest version of iPhoto 09 is version 8.1.2. Verify that this is the version you have.
Did you connect a different computer to this one, then access your iPhoto??
Your iPhoto Library is in your pictures folder. We can tell what version the library is in the follow way.....
- locate your iPhoto Library in the pictures folder - hold down your "control" key on the keyboard, and click once on the "iPhoto Library" and select "show package content". This will show many folders. Locate the folder called “Albumdata.xml”. Again, hold down you "control" key, and click on this file, then select "open with safari". -

How to ensure that latest version of Flex application is loaded

I have a bit of dilemma here. I am working on application which is going to be used at various locations (globally).
Level of technical knowledge of users varies quite a lot so do operating systems authorizations of the PCs they are working on (various companies with different level of security).
At the moment I am facing issue where some users are still using older release of the Flex application even after refresh and deletion of temporary internet files.
Is there any way to ensure (using some AS code or Flex project settings) that only latest versions of SWF files are loaded (not the one from buffer/cache)?

but it is still picking up older version of SWF file on certain PCs. It does read latest HTML (wrapper) file though. Seems that caching is only enabled for either certain file types or files exceeding certain size.
I have decided to do something a bit daft (or cheeky, depends how you look at it) as temporary solution and rename 2 main files (main SWF and HTML) to something like:
Application_name_ver_XYZ.*
It can be done in couple of minutes after release build has been exported (no need to update project itself). That way I can fool browser so it will pick up latest version (since its different file with different name).
Main application consists of 10+ modules and some of them are compiled into separate SWF files. I am loading them inside application using ModuleLoader component. I have set parameter cachePolicy to "off" as I am not going to rename all these modules each time I am releasing new version of application.
The end result is that main application is refreshed but all modules that are being loaded are picked up from cache (old versions).
So as a last resort I have decided to change folder name of my application. That way all the files (main app and modules) are considered as new files since location of all of them has changed. It is just a workaround, it does work but it carries certain risks. If user will use old link application will still load (older version) and then consequences can be catastrophic (even corruption of data).
Has anyone experienced same issues?
I know these are more browser/network issues but how do I deal with them. Some of these people cant ask IT for support (for various reasons). Is there anything else I can do to ensure that users across the board will use latest version of application?

I plugged my ipod nano 6th gen in to the latest version of itunes today and as soon as i plugged it it it turned on automatically as it should when i came back to it 5 mins later, picked it up and it felt warm and it wouldnt turn on. what should i do?
I have the same problem and can't seem to figure out what the problem is. I rebuilt my iTunes library and still my 6G nano crahes whenever I load an AAC tune onto it. MP3s and podcasts all work fine, it's just the AACs...
Just *loading* an AAC song will cause the Nano 6G to reboot as soon as it disconnects from Itunes. It will then reboot a few times and then go into recovery mode. :-(

Not the iPad - your computer must be running iTunes 10.7 in order to sync. It has nothing to do with iTunes on the iPad.
