Workbook Error

Question

We use a Structure in many of our BW reports. Recently we have changed the structure a little bit. Due to this change many workbooks are giving authorization errors when loading them. When I run the used query in the workbook w/o workbook the report runs fine. I tried to remove the query from the workbook and then reisert it and save the workboo, it works fine. But I can not do this with every workbook as there are a lots of formatting in these workbook.
Is there a way to adjust these workbooks w/o removing and re-inseting the queries.

We had a similar problem a couple of years ago. In our case, we changed the structure in a query and all workbooks using that query started showing the dreaded "No applicable data found" message.
By going to the Local Query tool, we discovered that the structure had been "deactivated" in the workbook, i.e. it was moved to the Free Characteristics section of the query and all key figures were hidden. To resolve this problem, we just moved the structure back to the Columns and unhid the appropriate key figures. After that, rerunning the query gave the correct results, and we were able to resave the workbook without resorting to the delete/reinsert technique.
This approach was much easier, since it preserves all the formatting, etc. of the workbooks. Still a lot of work if you have a lot of workbooks to change, though. In fact, our biggest headache was tracking down all the users who had saved copies of the faulty workbooks as Favorites, and going through the above approach for each of those workbooks.
