Workbook Precalculation: "Message text too long:

Good day
I have setup the precalculation server/services and all is well except for the size of some workbooks.  I receive the following message:
u201CThe message could not be delivered to recipient  because the message
text was too long. The node used supports messages up to a a length of
20,000,000 bytes. The message text is, however, 43,152,918 bytes long.u201D
I have deleted the results from the workbook before precalculation and the file is zipped for email.
Where in BW will basis have to increase the size when a workbook is precalculated and mailed?
Thanks in advance.

  • Exclamation mark says text too long...but it's not

    My captions are 2 lines long, and they fit in the caption box. But I get an exclamation mark anyway -- the text warning that means (I think) "text too long."
    When I print the book on my color printer, all the text appears just fine.
    So here's question 1: If I try to send a book with text warnings, will Apple reject the file until I have made the warnings go away?
    And question 2: If the captions print just fine on my printer, are they likely to print just fine at Apple?
    Many thanks!

    When you order the book, a PDF will be created. That PDF is what gets uploaded to Apple (via Kodak) for printing. So the best way to check your book before ordering is to create a PDF, then inspect it. Chances are, what you see in your PDF is what you will get printed.
    To do this, select your book and do File > Print. You'll get an "Assembling book" progress bar. That can take several minutes. When done, you get the Print Dialog box. Click the PDF button and choose "Save as PDF..." Choose a name and location for the file (the Desktop is convenient) and Save. Then switch to the Finder and open that PDF in Preview.
    While I have not observed (or even tried to observe) for myself, I have read here from others that the PDF created this way may differ slightly from the one created by selecting Preview in the first Print dialog, and that it will more closely predict the final ordered book.

    I have that warning on one of my text boxes, too. It looks fine in iPhoto, fine in the PDF, and printed fine when I ordered the book from Apple.

  • Legend item text too long

    Hello.
    Question to Flex guru:
    I have too long text in Legend for chart. How can I do line
    folding or how can I show toolTip for legend item (like for a Label
    object)?
    How can I initialize Legend object with array of LegendItem
    objects?
    Sorry for my english :)
    Thanks in advance.

    Im not sure what your asking exaclty as my english is bad
    too, however i know that the label will only show one line of text,
    for wordwrap or multiple lines i think you need to use the "Text"
    control.

  • SMS Messages taking too long

    The last week, when I send a text messge, it says it was sent, but it is not recieved by the recipient for about 3 hours. Someone sent me a text message and I did not get it for 12 hours! I have AT&T. Is it my phone or my carrier? I have no idea where to start!

    I would start with your carrier if you are showing the messages sent etc, it sounds like an issue on their network.

  • Tree component display problem when text too long???

    hi all
    whenever i use a tree component to display some sort of text, i run into problems when the width of the text being display for a node is larger than the width of the tree component.
    Given: Tree tree1 with Node node1 and Child Node child1
    When the text of either node1 or child1 is longer than the width of tree1, the text is displayed on its own single line UNDERNEATH the node images. this makes the text look like it does not belong to the group of children of a given node.
    is there anyway to add maybe a text area or some sort of scrolling region to allow for any length of text for any node??
    thanks everyone!

    Yes, you can change the size of the tree node text field. Please see the "Tree Node Component Properties Window" section in the Help Contents within the IDE. Look at the info under the "Appearance" section.

  • JtextField text too long problem

    I have a little problem, I'm sure its very very simple to fix. The text I put into my JTextField is longer than the visible portion, so when I put text in there it keeps scrolling it to the end, so the start portion of the text isnt visible anymore (it scrolls it to the end instead). Now obviously I would rather want the beginning portion of the text to show, but I havent found a way to do that nicely (there must be some simple setting/function for this). And I dont want to crop the text either...
    Thanks :)

    Use a JTextArea and call setCaretPosition(0) method on it.

  • Configure message takes too long

    I've recently installed CR XI Rel 2 on my company's workstation. I've registered the product, and got a code.
    Whenever I create a new report, using VS 2005, or start CR, it displays a message "Please wait while Windows configures Crystal Reports XI Release 2"
    It takes 5-10 minutes every time. This is a ridiculously long time to start a report.
    Does anyone know why this  occurs?
    Thanks.

    Hi Tony
    To resolve this issue just Help -> uncheck the option "Check for Updates on Start Up".
    If you are not able to able to open crystal report then you can do above by making change in the registry.Would request you to  take back up of registry and the make changes
    The Update Service can be disabled by a registry setting at the following subkey:
    \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.0\Crystal Reports\DisableCheckForUpdates
    The DisableCheckForUpdates entry has a default string value of empty string (""). Setting this value to "1" disables the Update Service.
    Disabling the Update Service:
    u2022 Removes the 'Check for Updates...' command from the 'Help' menu and Start Page.
    u2022 Removes the 'Check for Updates on Start Up' option under the 'Help' menu.
    u2022 Disables any automatic update processes previously configured (such as the 'Check for Updates on Start Up' option being selected).
    ====================
    NOTE:
    The Update Service can also be disabled during the Crystal Reports XI install. Select the 'Disable Web Update Service' check box on the 'Web Update Service Option' box.

    Hi NeedingHelp,
    I am able to connect to them at this time. It's possible that this was a temporary issue with their servers.
    Are you still having trouble accessing www.smallworlds.com? If so, is this the only website that you are encountering problems accessing?
    Please let us know if your problem is resolved, or if you have any opther questions.

  • Destination Path Too Long having this problem on desk top computer

    Destination Path Too Long
    when I try to move files from my desk top screen to my external hard drive or my internal hard drive I get this error message:
    Path Too Long: The file name(s) would be too long for the destination folder. You can shorten the file name and try again, or try a location that has a shorter path.
    These are files that I have previously moved from my internal hard drive on to my desk top [screen] computer, this error seems to pop up on my desk top not my lap top, both running windows
    7. These files do not have long names, and I can not "skip" these files these are files that I have created for business or fun.
    I am not a computer tech so if some one could instruct me what to do I would appreciate this.

    Hi,
    the destination path is the full path you are copying to. In case of a library for example that would be (by default) c:\users\username\folder. The length of paths quickly adds up and may not exceed 255. Copying the file to a longer destination
    path would render the file inaccesible in standard ways.
    Consider to try copying the files to a shorter destination path (not to c:\folder\longfolder\subfolder\folder\ but to c:\x\for example). Please post back if that does not work either.
    The foldername in your screenshot alone already has 40 about characters. Consider using shorter descriptive names for your folders. For example 'Bible scripts FB2010' only contains 22 characters and contains more or less the same info)
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/177665
    If you still use large folderstructures to 'easily' track down your files, consider spending less time arranging files and using search more often. If I for example would need some file, I tap the windows key and start typing some part of the filename or
    even it's contents or tags. Usually before I have typed  afew characters, the startmenu shows exactly the document or picture I need. I' ve got about 4000 documents of all kinds stored in "my documents" only roughly spread over some folder like Letter,
    Script, Work, House\*year*, Pay\*year*...Index your folders, use a bit of tagging and let the computer do the work!
    Also, Windows does contain methods to access longer filepaths (see
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winservergen/thread/cc7491ae-5039-4cf5-8347-d43f22389bb0) but these are not recommended for daily use as applications might fail handling files stored in such paths.

  • GPG / pin-entry passphrase / mantra too long (limit now 22 chars)

    I was wondering why the gpg pass-phrase (german trans.: Mantra) is now limited to 22 chars (tested with gtk. For ncurses this may vary slightly) and if there is a workaround available?
    As I understand pin-entry (a helper  that passes the password to the gpg-agent) is now mandatory and not replaceable any longer. But if I try to use gpg, I  get the error message:
    passphrase too long / (Ger: Das Mantra (Passphrase) ist zu lang!)
    http://virtualhorde.com/MEDIA/mantraTooLong.jpg
    According to the gpg manual this limitation should not exist (and is also insecure):
    gpg manual wrote:"There is no limit on the length of a passphrase, and it should be carefully chosen. From the perspective of security, the passphrase to unlock the private key is one of the weakest points in GnuPG (and other public-key encryption systems as well) since it is the only protection you have if another individual gets your private key. Ideally, the passphrase should not use words from a dictionary and should mix the case of alphabetic characters as well as use non-alphabetic characters. A good passphrase is crucial to the secure use of GnuPG."
    Also the responsible source-code is not inspiring confidence (call-pinentry.c) (no mlock or zeroing):
    static gpg_error_t
    getpin_cb (void *opaque, const void *buffer, size_t length)
    struct entry_parm_s *parm = opaque;
    if (!buffer)
    return 0;
    /* we expect the pin to fit on one line */
    if (parm->lines || length >= parm->size)
    return gpg_error (GPG_ERR_ASS_TOO_MUCH_DATA);
    /* fixme: we should make sure that the assuan buffer is allocated in
    secure memory or read the response byte by byte */
    memcpy (parm->buffer, buffer, length);
    parm->buffer[length] = 0;
    parm->lines++;
    return 0;
    Without further investigation I would assume that the (short/insecure) pass-phrase is copied without any precautions in memory.

    Leonid.I wrote:When do you see this warning? My passwords are 23+ characters and I have not encountered such warning...
    I was in a hurry yesterday, so I most likely miscounted the number of asterisks in the password dialog. I think the maximum passphrase length is 99 characters.
    To clarify my problem I would like to explain it with following example:
    Imagine you have created a keyring with application keys, shop keys and server-certs several years ago and encrypted it with following passphrase:
    "My pet T-Rex sucked at my bones during the 8 o'clock 0pera performance of my cat which was also a great success."
    (A more or less memorable sentence because it is visualizable/unusual)
    If you have recently updated gnugp to version 2.1.1 and now try to sign a new version of one of your applications, you will get an error message during keyring unlocking, stating that your passphrase or (ger.) Mantra is to long.
    Is there an alternative to compiling and installing a previous version of GnuGP?
    The problem can be reproduced with following snippet:
    # Backup your keyring
    $ mv .gnupg gnupg_bak
    # create a new (pub/private) key.
    $ gpg --full-gen-key
    # I'm choosing the default encryption
    gpg: directory '/home/yousry/.gnupg' created
    gpg: new configuration file '/home/yousry/.gnupg/gpg.conf' created
    gpg: WARNING: options in '/home/yousry/.gnupg/gpg.conf' are not yet active during this run
    gpg: keybox '/home/yousry/.gnupg/pubring.kbx' created
    Please select what kind of key you want:
    (1) RSA and RSA (default)
    (2) DSA and Elgamal
    (3) DSA (sign only)
    (4) RSA (sign only)
    Your selection? 1
    # On modern CPUs you can use the maximum key size
    RSA keys may be between 1024 and 4096 bits long.
    What keysize do you want? (2048) 4096
    # The key should expire after one year
    Please specify how long the key should be valid.
    0 = key does not expire
    <n> = key expires in n days
    <n>w = key expires in n weeks
    <n>m = key expires in n months
    <n>y = key expires in n years
    Key is valid for? (0) 1y
    Key expires at Sat Dec 26 07:51:28 2015 CET
    Is this correct? (y/N) y

  • Manage data element UMBSZ in Material Record : Entry too long

    Hello
    I would like to manage alternatives units of measure with a Numerator defined in more than 5 digits, in the material master record (transactions MM01, MM02).
    For example :
    A material with a base unit of measure = ST (Items) : view Basic data 1 of the material master record
    and the same material must be managed in Pallet : 1 Pallet = 150000 ST
    So In additionnal data of the material master record we must assign 1 Pallet (fields UMREN + MEINH) for 150000 ST (fields UMREZ + MEINS)
    but when i assign 150000 in the field UMREZ i have the error message
    Entry too long (enter in the format __.___)
    Message no. 00089
    In fact The Field UMREZ is defined as DEC, Length = 5 and Decimal Places = 0
    So what could be the Solution? Is it possible to managed this field with more than 5 digits? Is it possible to do something in the transaction CUNI?
    Thank you for your answers

  • When trying to 'Consolidate Files' via iTunes I get the message "Copying files failed. The name was invalid or too long."

    I am trying to copy my entire iTunes library and everything in it from my PC Desktop to my PC Laptop using the "External Drive" method as shown on the Apple website. On Part 1 (5) I am told to consolidate files. When attempting to do this I get the message "Copying files failed. The file name was invalid or too long."
    How do I resolve this?

    I have just been having this problem and it has been driving me mad.   The error message doesn't tell you which file is causing the problem so you can't fix it and it leaves your libray in a state of limbo with some files copied into the new location and some in the old location.  After many hours I found a surprisingly quick and simple solution.
    1) in iTune create a smart play list that includes everything that was added before tomorrows date.  This will include everything.
    2) Right click this playlist and export it as a text file to produce a tab delimited file.
    3) Import this into a spread sheet, or just view it in a text editor with line wrap turned off.  What you are interested in is the last column (or end of the line in a text editor).  This gives you the path of the file associated with each entry in the library.
    The path of the files that have already been copied successfully will start with the new location for your media files you specified.  Scroll thru the rows until you get a blank path.  If you start getting paths starting with the old Media file location then you went to far and start scrolling back.
    The row with the blank path was the file that failed.  Move back to the start of the row to find out more about it.  In my case it was a podcast with a very long name. I just deleted that podcast from iTunes.
    4) Restart the consolidation by choosing File, Library as you did before and the process starts again where it left off.
    5) If it fails again on another file just repeat the process

  • Insert an hyperlink in a mail text but the URL is too long (more than 255)

    Hi to all,
    I was asked to insert an hyperlink in a mail text. I was  thinking to use '<A href =" ' command . I'm usin BSC interface but my problem is that the internal table in wich I'm loading the body message is 255 character while the URL i'm trying to include in the e-mail si too long . Any fast solution ?
    Thanks
    Andrew

    You don't need to put the entire anchor tag contents on one line in the table before you append it to the body contents.  The reading application (Outlook, etc.) knows the entire tag contents based on the open/close of the tag.  I often chunk up my anchor tags like that via text elements so they're easier to read in the code.  Though you can't really see it, this is an anchor tag:
      begin_table 0.
      begin_row.
      begin_cell 100.
      gs_email_contents-line = text-s03.
      append_content.
      gs_email_contents-line = text-s04.
      append_content.
      gs_email_contents-line = text-s05.
      append_content.
      end_cell.
      end_row.
      end_table.
