Workbook storage fault

Hello,
We are using BEx 3.5, and we have a problem with a few workbooks saved in Excel 2003.
When we try to open the workbooks with Excel 2007, we get the following message:
"Workbook storage fault(read/open)"
The problem occurs in workbooks with VB code that we added.
Thank you.

Hi,
You have all the information in the following discussion: http://scn.sap.com/thread/76613
Or in the OSS Note Prashanth has just said.
By the way, did you solve your issue?

    Kind regards, Patrick Rieken.
    Note 592918:
    Symptom:
When you open BW workbooks, one of the following error messages "Workbook storage fault: 1310", "<internal error> document storage 310" or "<internal error> Workbook storage fault: 310" appears. The workbook does not appear.

  • Upgrade 3.1- 7.0: internal error Workbook storage fault (read/open)

    Dear all,
after upgrading an 3.1 (SP12) BW-system to BI 7.0 (SP15) the following error occures when we want to open existing BEx workbooks (in the BEx Analyzer 3.x):
    <b><internal error> Workbook storage fault (read/open)</b>
<b>We have found out, that this refers only to those BW workbooks being created in BW 2.x and not modified ever since. Thus this actually seems to be an 2.x->7.0 issue.</b>
Scope of our projekt it not the use of any new BI function, we are just upgrading the system.
Unfortunately some (but not all) workbooks do not run any more now. Checking existing SAPnotes has not helped yet unfortunately.
I saw very similar problems on this forum, if there is a solution, please provide it to us urgently.
    THANKS for helping
    Frank

    Hello Venkat,
thanks for helping. Since I work with SAP_ALL authorization, I do not think this issue is related to missing auth. objects. The error message desribed above is withoutan number-ID, that´s why it is different than those described in the mentioned notes.
It definitely is related with the upgrade, as I can open those "corrupt" workbooks originating from BW 2.x in the productive system (still on BW3.1).
Any more suggestions?? Who remembers the 2.x - 3.x upgrade of BEx workbooks?
    Thanks, Frank

Anyone know why I am getting this error. I have seen many solutions for error 310 but not 330.

  • Error in saving a workbook

    Hello,
While trying to save a workbook in Bex, I am getting the following message:
    <b>"<internal error> workbook storage fault: 310".</b>
I have implemented the instruction in note 592918, but it did not solved the problem.
In other threads I have found a recommendation to  uncheck "/SCET/GUI_UPLOAD" option in cluster VSCAN_PROFILE_VC in transaction SM34, but in our system this option was already unchecked.
    Please advise.
    Thanks in advance, Amir.

    Pls help.

  • Error Message when opening a Workbook

    Hi Gurus,
When I open a particular workbook using BeX 3.x, I get the message "<internal error> Workbook Storage fault:(read/open)".
Has anyone experienced this kind of error before? And if yes, can you please let me know how this can be corrected?
    Thanks

    Hi Arvind,
This error is related to the document store.  Go to SPRO and find the document store and re-activate.
    This should fix the error.

  • Regarding Saving the New WorkBook

    Hi All,
I have a query that I want to save as a New workbook. I am able to save the workbook in Favorites. But I am unable to save it as workbook under SAP Developer Role. The error that I am receiving is "Workbook does not exist in the document store."
I checked the authorizations with the Basis people and the authorizations for the SAP Developer are correct.
Why am I receiving the error and unable to save the work book.
    Regards
    YJ

    Hi,
Check with the basis people if you have the proper authorization:
    S_USER_AGR: ACTVT     = 02,
ACT_GROUP = [name of the role you are editing]
    S_USER_TCD: TCD = RRMX
See OSS Note #829008 - "Workbook storage fault 330 in Bex Analyzer".

  • Workbook without Assigned Roles

    Dear BI Experts,
I need your help to assign a workbook in the workbook storage of the server, back into a roles folder.  Here is my scenario:
I created a new workbook and assigned it to a role in Dev.
My Dev system got a system refresh from my Prod system.  Before the system refresh, I saved my workbook into a transport, and then re-applied it back to Dev after system refresh.  The issue here is that I did not save the roles folder of the workbook into the transport.
So now, after I re-applied the transport to Dev, the workbook exist in the server, but not in the role folder.  When I ran BEx and try to find the workbook in Dev, it could not find the workbook.
I ran RSWB_ROLES_REORG program, and the workbook is listed as Workbook in the workbook storage, but not in any roles folder (Unused).  I also ran function module RSBB_WORKBOOK_AGR_GET and did not see the role in the E_T_AGR table.
Please provide me the steps to assign the workbook in the server to a role folder.
Thanks in advance for your help in this matter.
    Kevin--

You can assign the workbook to a role directly in the Role Maintenance screen (tcode PFCG).
Go to the Menu tab there in change mode and choose the folder into which you want to put the workbook. Click on the 'Report' button at the top of the Menu screen, then choose the 'BW Report' radio button.
You can then enter the 'Report ID' (i.e., Workbook ID) of the desired workbook. (You may want to look this up in advance in the Admin Workbench using the Metadata Repository --> Workbook option.)
The workbook will then appear in the role menu with a "default" name of something like "New Report", which can be changed to the correct description for the workbook.
    Hope this helps...
