Workcenter: create new incident - cannot enter/change system nor client

On one of my systems (EP1 SP19) I cannot change nor enter neither system nor client --> the field's just grey while on another system (SP16) is actually no problem to change (dropdown menu available). Anyone got an idea?

Does the old user account have the same name as before , or has it been changed to 'xyz (deleted)' ?.
If it has a usable name, just go to System Preferences - Accounts & create a new one with that exact name.
Click OK when "A folder in the Users folder already has the name 'account name'. Would you like to use that folder as the Home folder for this user account?" appears. Note: This will correct the ownership of all files in the Home folder, and avoid permissions issues with the contents
You can then logout & into the 'new' one.

If you want to continue using the new account you've already made, but access the old folders :
Select the old account home folder in Finder, then use Finder - File menu - Get info (command I). Open the 'Sharing & Permissions' section at the bottom, then click the padlock icon at bottom right & authenticate with an admin name & password.
Click the + button & add your new account name to the list, then select it & change 'Read only' to 'Read & Write'.
Now click the gear icon at the bottom & choose 'Apply to enclosed items...'

Photoshop will not open/create new files, cannot resize images etc

Hi to all.
So I'll start with the basics; I am using Photoshop 7 (And yes, I am using it for a specific reason, I'm not interested in migrating to this new $1000 Creative Cloud rubbish), us Australians are getting ripped a new one and I'm happy with the $50 I paid for my copy years ago. (Please do not tell me the answer to my problems is to simply upgrade and go bankrupt. Again, I've been using 7 for a very long time without issue).
I've been using 7 for almost a decade without issue. I stick with it because so far, it's done everything I need, has been reliable up to this point, and my plugins do not work properly with newer versions. I'm also running an older-spec system (Windows XP, 3gb ram etc) as I do a lot of work with older game engines, Source Engine etc.
The issue I'm having doesn't appear to be Photoshop-7 specific however, there are many threads on this that have gone unanswered, and happen in CS3 etc and modern copies as well. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it to no avail. Basically, I cannot open files reliably with it.
If I right click any image file in explorer and click "open with -> Photoshop", photoshop will launch, however it does not open the file. I double checked to ensure the file was not just opening offscreen, however it is definitely not opening at all (as the "close" option does not become available).
If I launch photoshop manually, and click file -> open -> It will open that file, HOWEVER it will not open any more files after that.
It also is very very fickle with simple commands, such as if I hit CTRL + T to go into transform mode and then try to rescale an image, I have to click and drag the corners at least 5-6 times before it will recognize that I am doing so, and it will also ignore the resize that I perform and snap back to normal. Sometimes I have to click things more than once to get them to register. This is not occurring with any other piece of software etc, so I've ruled out that it's an issue with my mouse.
This has only been happening a day, and I cannot think of any particular system changes likely to result in this (ie no abnormal plugins installed recently, no major hardware or software changes). Unless my keyboard has a stuck key or something strange, I'm absolutely at a loss
Is there anyone who can help me, or has heard of this issue?

I am an idiot.
I guess the scratch disk was full or something else. A simple reboot appears to have solved the problem. (I often have my system running for up to 48-64 hours at a time without reboots) as my workdays are around 36 hours at a time, so it could just be a memory constraint from XP.
Hopefully this solves the issue for anyone else who encounters it. Reboot your pc once in a while, give it a clean slate of memory to work with.

V11.1.2.1: Cannot create new application - Cannot create connection to db

I have installed Hyperion Planning + essbase + FDM v11.1.2.1 in a distributed environment on Windows 2008 R2 64-bit servers.
All configurations is set up with no problems, have created users, planning apps etc etc. Only thing missing is creating the FDM apps however this fails!
The folders are created on the FDM app server but it cannot connect to the oracle db it says. No error number is given.
I have no problems accessing the oracle db via sqlplus with the same user/password info.
And I cant find any log file that contains any errors so I am at a loss as to what can be the problem!?

Create New User Script and Change Home Dir

I am working on creating a portable user for my usb flash drive so that I can take my desktop anywhere. I was wondering if there was a way that I could make a shell script to:
1. Create a user account named acnt with the password pswd
2. Change the NetInfo link of the accounts home directory to /Volumes/Users/User/acount
I know how to do this in gui, but I would like a more stream lined aproach to doing this. Thank you.

There are a number of ways to do this deppending on exactly what you want to do.
The easy way is to create a file called .profile. .profile will change directories when you login. But this only works as far as terminal login is concerned. To do this type.
cat>.profile
cd /Volumes/Users/User/account

Another way to do this is to use netinfo to adjust the values in the netinfor equivalent of /etc/password. You just set the home directory to where ever you want to login. But as I understand it, This has problems if you try to use Micro$oft software. I have NOT tried this, I just recall seeing a message to this effect in this fine forum.
I am on the road, so I do NOT have my library and note books. If you need more details on how to use netinfo, just post more questions. Someone else will figure out the details or I will see them when I return to my notes and library.

According to your description, my understanding is that you failed to create a new farm.
It seems that several issues exist in IIS. Please go to IIS manager > each site > advanced settings > general > ID to see if it is beyond int32 range or includes non-number value. Besides, please reset IIS and reboot the SQL server.
Please have a try to create new farm with power shell.

Creating new VM ends with Error code 3430 and 3040 in Hyper-V log. Does anyone have any insight into what might cause this?

I have blownout the server and reinstalled the operating system and SCVVM and applied all the current updates to no avail. I have the exact same issue again. The problem seem to be at least on the serface an authority problem because I have no problem creating
new VM via the P2V process on an old Virtual Server running on Win2003R2.
Oh yes I can create new virtual machines on the system in question and move them to the library as was suggested to verify in a Blog post so I am really wondering what the problem is?
Configuration Analyzer Just gave me a warning about reporting not being setup on the VVM which it isn't so no suprise there?
Any information that might help me figure this would be greatly appreciated

I've looked at both threads, and there simply isn't enough information for me to tell you what is wrong. Please collect a trace (instructions in General forum) and open a case with CSS. CSS can provide more in depth analysis than what a forum
post allows.

I find that this value is maintain in table VBRP. However, when I create new characteristic, I dont is this table in current list.

3. choose "transfer from SAP table"
4. because it doesnt have table VBRP in the this, so I type directly "Table Fields --> Table"

Please create a characteristic by transferring it from table VBRP and
then change the automatically from system defined TKEZU entries like
the note 111232 explains.
The way to solve the problem would be to change the assignment
table TKEZU by exchanging VBRP with KOMP in the table name:
(1) Delete the following entry in table TKEZU (you can maintain TKEZU
with view V_TKEZU in transaction SM30):

How to add new coding mask into productional system

Hi,
A new division is entering our system and has a business requirement for a project coding mask C-00000.00.00.00.00 to handle capital investment projects. We would like this proces to make the good example for rolling out project models to the rest of the organisation (and for making new coding masks in the future)
However, we are facing a problem. Until now only the IT department has been using the project system and they have not had the need for mulitlevel projects or project models.
IT projects today is entered as free texts like:
Definition ITINTCOM001-S1003
WBS ITINTCOM001-S1003
with no regard to the coding. Logistics integration is used via networks and MM-SRV.
I have read in another issue in the forum that I was supposed to be able to enter additional coding masks as long as they did not interfear with existing coding masks. So I tried to transport a new coding mask into the system but it created an error message CJ 610 "Entry length is incorrect B-00000.00.00.00" with a reference to the coding (there are no existing projects using B- or any other coding mask). It also made a system dump when a wbs was searched via F4.
So I removed the coding again and the system went back to normal.
Since go-live is closing in I would be highly appreciative if anybody had a suggestion on how to solve this issue?

In the Node SPRO (T code OPSK) ie., Define Special Characters for Projects, mention '1' in PL field- Length of key for coding (as in your case the key is 'B') and don't check the check box SL. Also don't check the check box 'Edit'.
For reasons, refer the F1 help on these fields.
Save this and new coding mask in same request and transport it. Try this and let me us know if it solves the problem.

I was unable to create new track in our NWDI systems, getting the following message. I checked authorizations and it looks fine to me.
