WorkCentre 7535 can't print color

Hi, just installed Xerox Global Print Driver PCL6 version 5.433.6.0N, and we're unable to print color now. When I go to "Image Options" tab under Printing Preferences, my only option there is "Xerox Black and White Conversion". But whether I have it checked or unchecked, the document still prints black and white. Any suggestions?

Make sure the driver correctly identified the device:  Also check in CWIS that BW is not set as a default, as that option often has a compatibility issue that makes it a "Policy" as in many drivers will no longer honor color settings at all when enabled.

  • Can't print color in Excel Spread sheets on a HP 2605dn

We are using a PCL 6 driver. Other types of files print color ok. No Excel files will print color on the HP 2605dn printers. The same files will print on other model printers. We have changed all of the various color settings in the printer Properties. Window XP SP2. MS Office XP. Any ideas will be appreciated.

    Hi,
Based on its manual (document c03026243.pdf, pp 164, 165 & 166) you can't use tray 2 to print envelopes, you can ONLY use tray #1.
    Hope this answers your question.

  • HP Deskjet D4160 can't print color when connected to express.

When I connect my Air to my HP Deskjet D4160, I can print in color. When I connect it to my Airport Express running the 6.3 software, it shows up fine in the printer tab, and I can add it correctly to my Air in the system prefs (it also finds the correct driver in 10.5.5), but when I print color it just comes out grayscale.
    Any ideas?

All I can suggest at this point is to check with HP to make sure you have the latest drivers available for your printer.
Not all printers are compatible with the USB port on the Express, especially lower priced printers which are often designed to only work if they are attached directly to a computer.

  • Can't print color seps anymore...

After updating to CS5, I now do not have the "color separation" option in ouput options.  It will only print composite.  Any idea how to fix so that I can print color sep's in Illustrator and what changed?

Have you installed (and selected) the correct printer driver?

  • Can't print color jewel case inserts anymore

I've noticed that with the last two updates of iTunes I can't print CD jewel case inserts in color anymore (The "Mosaic", "White Mosaic", and "Single Cover" choices are supposed to print in full color (and always have until recently) - they print in black and white now). I can still print in color in every other application (Safari, Pages, etc.)

I have exactly the same issue. Does anyone have a fix?

  • Print shop can't print color correctly.

    Hi there,
I work at a print shop and occasionally run into problems with documents being difficult to print, but this one is especially troubling.  Out print shop does not have Photoshop but rather "Photo Impact..."  I know, don't get me started.  The issue is that I have a particular customer how did some designing in Photoshop CS4 (CS something) and it looks beautiful on his macbook but different on our PC (no matter what program we use to open any of his files- TIFF, PNG, JPG, etc). When printing to our Xerox Docucolor 252 the color is real dark and way less vivid/bright.
I tried the file on my home computer (PC with CS4) and it again looks great.  When I print it on my home printer (Canon ip6700d) the printed colors are much closer to the screen even though I get an error telling me the printer is a non-postscript printer and so it will ignore some of the document properties.  This leads me to believe that since the Xerox is a postscript enabled (I think) printer it is using data I know nothing about to darken and dirty the image.  This is way outside of my knowledge and I would love to figure this out.
We have tried converting the image both to CMYK and RGB and have played around with the different color profiles, sRGB, Adobe RGBxxx etc. with very suble changes but nothing acceptable.  I think we are to the point where the customer would be ok to start from scratch but if he doesn't know what to do differently I think we'll be right back here again.
Any suggestions?  I'm frustrated and desperate to figure this out!
    Thank for any ideas,

  • Can't print color to HP Photosmart 7520 from MacbookPro

I have been unable to print color to my HP printer from my Macbook Pro. All prints come out in black and white regardless of what program they are printed from. It it not a printer problem as I am able to print from my iPad in color. Running OS X 10.6.8. Any ideas?

Have you checked out all of the settings on the printer to make sure that you don't, somewhere, have Print as Grayscale ticked? I know that's an option for my Canon and I have several printer settings setup to print in grayscale on a variety of media and sizes.

  • Can't print color on my deskjet f380

Haven't been able to print   with color for months.  Color cartridge is full. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @dsptcher96, and welcome to the HP Forums!
I can see from your post that you're experiencing print output issues.  I would like to try and help with that!
I would recommend removing the ink cartridges from the printer, and performing a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also suggest following the steps laid out in this document on Colors on Copies Are Incorrect.
Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Can't Print Color Photos

When I right click on the color photo it takes me to the print screen. The photo is in black and white and turned 90 degrees from the origional. If I preview the photo first it is in color and in the normal position. I have gone it and checked all the settings and thay are fine. I have rebooted the printer with no luck. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks. Frank

    Hi harthous,
First, please make sure that the ink tanks are installed in the printer correctly and are in the correct order.  The order from left to right is as follows:
    CLI-226BK
    CLI-226M
    CLI-226C
    PGI-225PGBK
    CLI-226Y
Next, a test of the printer should be performed.  This will tell us if the printer is working correctly.  To do this, please load letter-sized paper in the PIXMA MG5220 and follow these steps:
     1.  Press <HOME>.
     2.  Rotate the menu to Maintenance and press <OK>.
     3.  Press <OK> on Print nozzle check pattern.
     4.  Press <OK> on Yes.
The Nozzle Check will print.  Please compare your printout to the example below.  If they differ, please perform a few printhead cleanings.
To perform cleanings, please follow these steps:
     1.  Press <HOME>.
     2.  Rotate the menu to Maintenance and press <OK>.
     3.  Press <OK> on Cleaning.
     4.  Press <OK> on Yes.
     5.  Press <OK> on Yes.
After a few cleanings, please print another Nozzle Check.
Does the Nozzle Check look like this:

  • Won't Print Color After Operating System Upgrade

Within the last year I purchased a LaserJet CP1525nw color, and I recently upgraded to Windows 7 32-bit and now I can't print color.  I've tried loading the driver from the CD that originally came with the print and I get an error message saying that it can not install the driver.  I've looked on the HP website to see if there are any updates for this printer and I can't seem to find any.  I was able to find a list of devices that are supported by Windows 7, and a list of devices that are not supported by Windows 7 and my printer was not on either list.
I'm wondering if there is anything that I've missed as far as fixes or updates for this problem, or am I just out of luck with wanting to print color with this printer now that I've upgraded to Windows 7.

    Hi Akfshslyr,
Try installing the full feature software and driver for this printer.

  • How can I get my printer to print in color? I can only print black and white

HP Officejet 6500 E710n-z-------windowsxp      My printer will not print anything in color.   How can Iget my printer to print in color?  I can only print in black and white.    It is a new Printer and we just installed it 2 wks ago.

I am not sure I understand ''it still will not print. ''
If you cannot see any content on pages you printed or in print preview, the cause might be margins which are set too high.
#In order to check the margins, we need to go to ''File'' > ''Page Setup''.
#Once this is done, switch to the ''Margins & Header/Footer'' tab.
#Check what's set there under ''Margins''.
The following are the default values for ''Margins'':
    '''Right''': 12.7
    '''Top''': 12.7
    '''Left''': 12.7
    '''Bottom''': 12.7
Check these values accordingly and change them if necessary.

  • How can I print without color?

How can I print without my color cartridge in my printer, I have a HP Deskjet 3510. I cant find only print in black in white in the setting on my printer.

    Hi,
Actually we call it as Grayscale. But Grayscale is a mixture of all colors. If you only wish to print Black & White only, you need to set "Black Ink only" as default. Please try:
The setup may vary from printer to printer but basically (for Windows):
    (a) Double click printer icon on desktop,
    (b) Click Set Preferences,
    (c) Click Advanced,
    (d) Select "Black Ink only" for Print in Grayscale
    (e) Click Ok/Apply ...
    Regards.

  • How can I print in black/white only a document that has colors in the original?

How can I print in black/white only a document that has colors in its original. I don't need the print out to be in color, and I don't want to waste the color ink.

It depends on your printer and the application you are using.
In some applications you can choose color vs. greyscale/black&white when you do File > Print.   PowerPoint is one example of an application that allows this choice.
Otherwise, you can usually select greyscale at the time you print the document.  Do File > Print. In the resulting dialog box, there should be an item called Copies & Pages (in Word and other applications) or Preview (in Preview).  Click it.  In the resulting list, you should then see an option called Printer Features.  Click it.  Then you should see an option called Printout Mode.  Usually one of the modes is Greyscale or Black & White.  Select it.  Then Print.
This can also depend on your printer.  Exactly what make/model printer are you using?   And what kind of document are you trying to print (Word, PPT, JPEG, etc)?
