Workflow 2013 start another workflow 2013

In an existing workflow 2013, I need to lower the permission levels of a user so that they can not modify a custom listed after it as been submitted. Thus I am thinking of having he first workflow 2013 start another workflow 2013 before the permission level
of the custom list item is lower.
Thus can you tell me how to do the following:
1. Have a workflow 2013 start another workflow 2013.
2. After the first workflow 2013 is started, have the first workflow not expect the 2nd workflow to run any results. The first workflow will basically end right after it lower the permission levels of the user that submitted the custom list to workflow 2013.

Complete workflow tasks before starting another workflow.

Hello everyone
I have a requirement in my project and i am not sure how to do that task in best possible way.
I have a reviewer workflow where i will be creating approval tasks for 'n' number of reviewers (the reviewers we get it from initiation form).
For example
I have 4 reviewers and there will be 4 approval tasks (1 for each) that will be created and if I have a reply percentage (the people who reviewed
the tasks assigned to them) set to say 50%.
Then if at least 2 reviewers are sending reply for the tasks assigned to them then
we can start another workflow manually and when that new workflow is starting we should complete all the tasks that are in progress for the review workflow
If there are only 1 reviewer or no one is sending reply then we should not allow
the new workflow to start and if anyone try to execute the workflow manually we should say “Minimum number of reviewers had not replied to the tasks assigned to them so we cannot start the workflow now. Retry later”.
How to achieve this requirement? I already developed the 2 workflows that I discussed here and it is working correctly. I simply need to create this dependency condition
between the 2 workflows as I discussed here. Please suggest me the proper way for achieving my requirement.

Hi K, the only way I can see this working is if you make the second workflow automatic, and have it start when the number of approvals reaches a certain number. This number would have to be in another column (possibly a calculated column).

[SOLVED] XFCE4: how to start another X session?

Hi there!
I recently dumped KDE4 in favor of XFCE. Now the question is: if user A is logged in, how can user B start another X session to log in? In KDE's kickoff, there was this handy entry "Start new session", which I'm missing in XFCE (I'm still using kdm to log in).
Is there any way to get another session? Maybe if I replace kdm as well?
Alternatively: Is there a way to start (right at powerup) one login manager on TTY7 and another one on TTY8? Currently I've got kdm in my DAEMONS array, maybe there's a way by using some xinitrc magic?

startx -- :2
if you are starting a second X session, :3 for the third, etc...

Start another application

How would I go about if I wanted to quit my java program and start another application. I don't want my java program running in the background...

My harddrive crashed. New one installed. Restored data from Time Machine. When launching Acrobat 9 Pro, I get the following error message:

I followed the prompt but still not launching. Any suggestions.

Hi baxterbabe,
It is not recommended to use Time Machine to restore Adobe installations.
As you can see that this has caused the corruption of the licensing file.
Try launching Photoshop, go to 'Help' and select 'Deactivate' and then click 'Activate' from the same location.
Now launch Acrobat and check if it works properly.
You might also want to run the licensing repair tool from the link: Adobe - Adobe Licensing Repair Tool and check if that works.
If both these suggestions fail then you might want to uninstall the software completely and reinstall.

Being new to the site, by accident I put my question about updating something in the wrong spot. I put this question in the topic Community Feedback and Suggestions (Do Not Post Product-Related Questions Here
I posted my question where I throught the Community could give me feedback and suggestions. I am not an IT person, I did not know that upgrading something would be considered writing about a product. Again, I am not a IT person,
instead was a graphic designer so I do not think like IT people. The moderator PhHein closed the thread because of my mistake and no one directed me to the right spot. It is frustrating enough not to be able to update something.

I have upgraded to Firefox 7 and now when I start Firefox with my shortcut on Vista it starts. But when I want to start another copy (instance) of Firefox, nothing happens. With Firefox 5 it was working?
The strange thing is that if I do that, first copy of Firefox is nuable to close. It is not visible when I close it, but it remains in processes so I can't start Firefox again. I must kill it in Task manager first.

Pressing Enter on Download dialog starts another download (OSX Yosemite)

Since I upgraded to Yosemite (OSX 10.10, running FF 33.0.3), when I download a file and press Enter to save to Downloads, this starts another download of the same file (while also saving the original file). This didn't use to happen on Mavericks, so I'm hoping there's an easy fix for it. Any ideas much appreciated.

No, what happens when I press Enter (with the download dialog focused) to save a file in any folder, the file saves, but another download dialog pops up immediately. It looks like Enter is activating ("clicking") the link to the file again, even though the main browser window doesn't have focus.
I'm not running any antivirus software or the like and this problem only started when I upgraded to Yosemite.

A workflow creates an item but doesn't start another list workflow on that new vreated item

Scenario is as follows: I have a Workflow A (starts manually) and a Worklow B (starts when item is created). First I create an item in the list after that I start worklow A manually on that item and of course workflow B is already running on that item. Workflow
A creates a new item in the same list. Unfortunately workflow B doesn't start on the newly created item.
What I've found out so far is, the problem is connected to the actions you use in workflow B. If I'm not using actions like 'Update List Item' or 'Set Field In Current Item' the worklflow starts.
Any suggestions?

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to start the Workflow B to perform some actions like ”Update List item” or “Set Field in Current Item” on the newly created item which is created
by Workflow A in the same list.
The reason of the problem which you have found is that the automatically started Workflow B executed faster than the manually started Workflow A.
Therefore, the Workflow B can’t be triggered automatically because the action
“Update List Item” or
“Set Field in Current Item”
cannot be executed when the new item hasn’t been created completely.
So, I recommend that you can add the “Pause for Duration” action to pause for
one minute before the actions of “Update List Item” and “Set Field in Current Item” in the Workflow B.

Systemd and starting another program after OpenVPN finishes connecting

I have a program that I want to launch only when OpenVPN has established a connection. The problem is it is instead starting too soon, and going out into the Internet first before later using the OpenVPN connection. I am having it start after OpenVPN with the following two lines in the .service file:
Requires=[email protected]
After=[email protected]
Is there a proper way to have it instead start after OpenVPN finishes its connection? Right now I manually can start it after systemctl status [email protected]

But that manually method is very much suboptimal. I also want to have this other program start at boot which would completely preclude the manual method.

What if you use Requisite=[email protected]? As I understand it, that will ensure that the service is active and running before allowing the next to start...
Additionally, if you want to be able to start the unit manually, without the openvpn.service started (that is by using "systemctl start <whatever>"), then you could use RequisiteOverridable=[email protected]
Edit: I guess there is also the additional question of whether the unit reports a success after starting the binary or actually making a connection. I have never used openvpn, so I don't know about this. But take, for example, the network.target and the network management services. With the exception of NetworkManager.service (more specifically the NetworkManager-wait-online.service), the service is reported as successful, and the network.target is reached when the daemon itself is started, not when a full connection has been established. If it reports success before full connection, that will make this much harder.

i have created another database on linux Enterprise Server 5 with SID name "rmann". after database is created the address is "http://linux:5500/em"
Now after that i run the address link it works fine. but when i restarted the computer run the address link http://linux:5500/em doen't run.
So how i can run the new address link

emctl status dbconsoleIf it shows that the EM is not running then you must start teh service using,
emctl start dbconsoleAnd also check that you are not using DHCP, in case of which EM would keep on crashing since the IP would be changed all the time. For this, you must ensure that you configured EM using a static IP only.

Thank you for your advice. I followed your directions, but came up with the same results. However, I did discover that whenever I open up the iPhoto Library that is already existing on my MacBook a certain set of pictures shows up. But then when I open up the iPhoto Library from the Hard drive another set of pictures shows up. BUT not ALL of my pictures are showing up on the iPhoto Library from the hard drive. At least the last two years of pictures are not showing up?! Actually, it appears that all the pictures are there from when I started using iPhoto about 5 years ago up until around the time that I got my iMac desktop computer and started using that (2 years ago). I have noticed that more recent videos I have made are showing up in a folder on the hard drive, but will not appear when I open up iMovie?! Any ideas on how to access my pictures from the last 2 years off of the hard drive???

Starting another process from Automated Activity

is it generally possible to trigger the instantiation of another process via an automated activity?
I ask this question, because I already tried this and the service call did execute properly but the second process instance does not start. (Even though it starts when triggered vie the Webservice Navigator.)

when they click the "Next" button, and another audio clip to start.

Attach your second sound file to the frame that will play the
second sound. Then try adding stopAllSounds() before the
gotoAndStop("2"); to get the first sound to stop playing and then
play the second sound.
