Workflow call for Single Step Release Cancellation in PO

Dear All,
I want to start warkflow for "Single Step Release Cancellation" of PO at header level (not for Rejection button), but there is no event available for this in BUS2012. How can I perform this? Is there any enhancement that is called after record updation in database (after post)?

Hi,
In CDHDR Table while you performing the Transaction are you getting an Entry.
If you got it you have to configure in SWEC.

Workflow WAIT FOR EVENT STEP deadline not working

Hi,
Need some inputs for the experienced people;
I have a wait for event step in a workflow with deadline monitoring (Latest End) but it doesn't seem to work.
Ofcourse, all the required setting are in place and deadline works fine for other Activity steps.
The problem is specific to Wait for event step.
The alternative is having a fork but I just want to know why the wait step with deadline doesn't work.

Can you share with us what did you do to solve your problem?
I'm facing the same thing in my project now, I'm wandering if you could help me with this one.
I have this wait for an event step wich is configured to wait 4 minutes since the work item creation. I've also selected 'Modeled' on the Action field, and a display text for the outcome.
But in one of my tests, the event hasn't occurred and the workflow stuck in this task forever.

Combining multiple WMI Queries for Single Step in Task Sequence?

Hi there,
since i couldn't find an answer on google i try to find the information here:
i would like to use a multiple wmi query in a single step in task sequence.
hat means i want to query fist if the Computer is a Laptop or not and then if yes, if it is from HP Manufacturer.
To find out if Machine is a Laptop i use the following wmi query:
Select * from Win32_Battery WHERE (Batterystatus <> 0)
To find out if the Machine is from Manufacturer HP i use the following wmi query:
Select * from Win32_ComputerSystem WHERE Manufacturer LIKE "%HP%"
my question: is it possible to combine those 2 queries?
Like IF this is a Laptop AND IF it comes from HP, then install this type of software package?

unfortunely this did not work.
i try to install specific software for all HP Laptops:
but this software won't get installed on any HP Laptop. Message according to the logfile
"The task sequence execution engine skipped an action because the condition was evaluated to be false"
If i remove one of the WMI-Queries Installation works successfully.
Can anyone point me what i might do wrong here?

a different system user, can we?

You sure can have multiple WebLogic installations on one machine.

The installer will create a bea directory in your home directory. Take a
look at
the beahomelist file in that directory. Every user can have their own
installations.
Specifically: WLS8.1 SP1 on Solaris 8.

Workflow Required for Service Entry release

Hi !,
Can anyone help me out by provide input as i want to have a workflow to be generated based on a Text feild (Sap Login ID) which user will be entering in a Text feild in Service Entry Sheet. What it should do is :
1. Should Validate with my provided list of Approved Users. (Separate table entry to be maintained with reqd T-code).
2. Mail to be triggered to his(Approver) SAP and Outlook ID for the release to be made with Document Information.
3. He Should be able to Approve / Release through Workflow.
4. Creator should be informed for the Approval Done.

Workflow - Wait for PO release

Hi ALL,
My requirement is that, after the PO change by ME22N the WF should Wait for PO release before I can call MIGO for Goods receipt.
But my WF is directly calling MIGO after the ME22N, even though I have put a Wait for event task in between.
Object type - BUS2012
The WAIT event is - RELEASED
the bibding parameters are &_EVT_OBJECT& from Event to &PURCHASEORDER& in the workflow.
The wait condition is executing successfully and then MIGO is called, where as I have not yet Released the PO.
How to make the WF wait for the Release.

As per my understanding, is your workflow goes for next step after release of any level ?
Please check whether the event RELEASED triggers for each level of release.

Two step and Single step Reservations

am bit confused with the following.
can anyone tell me why cant we use the Reservations for the two step procedures for stock transfer and why for single step procedures?

It is a very good question and one that is not that easy to answer (and it should be easy).
I have tried to figure out why this should be the case and I cannot think of anything concrete.
perhaps it relates to the use of in-transit and in-transfer stock, perhaps the system cannot cope with reservations that affect these transit stock areas? I don't know why it cannot cope with these but perhaps it relates to the ability to trace reservations from within transactions such as MMBE etc. perhaps it is too difficult to show a list of reservations that are increasing in transit stock?
Sorry i can't help a lot with this, but the above is the only thing I can imagine would be the reason?

Single Step approval BRF Workflow for RFx.

Hi,
I am facing one problem in process controlled workflow for RFx. I have the scenario where I have only one approver but 7-8 reviewer are there in between of approver and initiator for example:
Initiator >reviewer1>reviewer2->reviewer3->....reviewer8-->approver.
For acheiving this I have activated standard single step approval workflow.
But while I am trying to add reviewers to the RFx at the time of creation of RFx the system is not shwing the reviewers. it gets refreshed only reviewers line is added to the reviewers Tab but system did not display any reviewer.
And while I publish the RFx it directly goes to the approver and while i tried to add the reviewer from approver end the same problem is coming.
Please help me. How I cam achieve this functionality.

Thanks For your reply. I want to add reviewers at the time of creation of RFx not ad-hoc approvers.
As I explain in my question that I have only one approver in whole approval process rest all are the reviewers only who only do the review and add comments not the approving authority.

Single step workflow with multiple approvers (without using a group)

Hi,
is it possible to have a single step workflow with multiple approvers without using a group? This is for a contract document.
i want to add a number of users based on particular logic. The approvers are random and do not belong to any particular group.
DO let me know if it is possible or if any of you have done that.

I believe the behavior would be, if individual users are added as approvers then the system would require each approver to approve the document. However, if you use the user group, you could set the role so that it would be either ALL or ANY.

You can get step by step workflow for PO using standard workflow
Release of Purchase Order :WS20000075
And for two levels of approvals you have to configure in SPRO the path is
Purchase Order:
SPRO> Material Management->Purchasing->/Purchase order-->Release procedure ---> Procedure with classification ---> set up procedure with classification ---> double click on Release strategies and Workflow.
If you don't know about this configuration, you have to confirm with your MM consultant.

1) Work flow: - Work flow is standard functionality of SAP.
I give one example to u.
In the case of purchase order creation, First purchase person create purchase order, then first purchase order approved by purchase head and then auditor approved purchase order on print of purchase order.
With work flow you can send soft copy of purchase order to both person purchase head and auditor to approve your purchase order.
Due to this your process for purchase material is faster then manual process.
2) You can implement work flow in purchase order release strategy with below mention detail.
For mail facility, you need to activate workflow for PO release procedure;
*Go to SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Release Procedure for Purchase Orders *
Define Release Procedure for Purchase Orders > Release Codes >
here assign Workflow indicator as "1" against each Release Code
Now come to SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Release Procedure for Purchase Orders >
Define Release Procedure for Purchase Orders > Workflow >
Here against each release code assign OT as US and respective User ID's for Release Codes.
Now Go to OOCU > here under MM, go to MM-PUR,
Now click on "activate event linking"
Here open "WS 20000075" and for BUS2012 RELEASESTEPCREATED, click on Detailed view button
Here activate "Event linkage activated" and also activate "Enable usage of event queue" and Save data.
Same way and click on "Assign agents" and proceed all above steps.

For proceeding futher as said in the above procedure. I am getting User ID inside WS20000075 when I click on Assign Agents but I am not getting the details button to repeate the step as said.
Please let me know whatever I have done is enough to get the mail or is there any thing else need to be done.

release code and release group should be assigned in the authorization object for the approving authorities.

I am using single step SRM approval workflow :WS10000129 for shopping cart creation, After creation , the work flow is getting triggered and The Problem is becuase of Agent (in workflow log, it is saying that , Agent determination for step '000000023' failed ).
I activiated all the subworkflows also.Customization ie..General Task is maintained also.
I feel, it is failing to reach a agent ..plz Help me regarding the Issue to go to an agent .
How do we customize the agent for Particular task.

In addition to disha's remarks also look at the following poibnts which may help you in resolving the issue.
Check in SWDD txn. (Work Flow builder) check whether the agent assignment is proper or not for one step approval work flow.You can manually assign the agent there if required.
Also check whether the person approving the shopping cart has been made as the Head of the department or not in the Org. Structure using PPOMA_BBP txn.Please make the person approving the cart as Head of the department.
Please verify the above points and run a cycle and let us know about the outcome.

Workflow for purchase requisition release strategy

Hi all,
I need an urgent help on Workflow for Purchase Requisition Release. The requirement is that when a purchase requisition with a given combination (Purchasing Group, Material Group and Account Assignment Category) is created and saved, it should trigger a workflow for approval of release or rejection to one specific business manager. If he dont responds in 2 days, it should be sent to other business manager. If any one of them releases the requisition, it should send a mail to the requestor that the requisition is released. And if it is rejected, then also a mail to be sent to the requester informing that his requisition is rejected...
Can anyone take some pain and guide me step by step procedure to implement this or to use any existing one.... I know its BUS2009 thats used in this but really dont know how to implement it properly.
Its urgent...
