are taught for this purpose. It seems there is no certification as a Workflow consultant any more. Please confirm with your local SAP training center if they still offer certification in Workflows.

Workflow Certification Exam

Hi all..
Anybody can give me some information how should I proceed for Workflow Certification Exams. Does SAP provide that?
Again, I registered in SAP.com but I am not being able to log in. It is not accepting any user ID. Does it give any specific UderId return to us or is it the one we provide as our 1st name or something else.

I also didn't find one recently. I saw this couple of years before may 3 - 4 years back. But, now I'm not able to see any details on that.
Even I tried after seeing this blog.
Looks like since BPX communicty & Integration of Netweaver with ARIS has come & the topic of Business Process Management is too borad & span across different applications. SAP might have stopped the Certification course & may be planning for a new Certification exam on BPM.
But, some one from SAP itself has to confirm whether SAP workflow certification is discontinued.

There is no certification for workflow and also workflow is not covered under ABAP or BPM certification.

Cancel Save Workflow option missing in R17 env

Has anyone noticed the cancel save option in WF is missing in my R17 env.
Can anyone confirm if they have it in any of their R17 env ?

We were a little surprised by this as well. We had built quite a few CO validations with it and at this time will probably rollback the validations until certification is complete.
The following is an excerpt taken directly from the June 2010 patch release notes:

"Cancel Save option in Workflow exposed on record types other than Opportunity (CR 12-1XVXFX5)
The Cancel Save feature was released in 1083.0.00 for the Opportunity record type only. It was
inadvertently exposed on other record types and is not certified by Oracle CRM On Demand. If you
have already used this feature you will receive the following privilege so you can either roll back the
use of this feature (recommended) or continue usage at your own risk:
Privilege Category: Customization: Business Rules
Privilege Name: Workflow Cancel Save
Privilege Description: Prevent save operation on 'Before Modified Record Saved' workflow events.
This privilege is dependent on the Manage Data Rules - Manage Workflow Rules privilege. The
privilege allows the use of this feature on the following record types:
1. Account
2. Activity
3. Contact
4. Custom Object 1
5. Custom Object 2
6. Custom Object 4
7. Household
8. Lead

LIBOVD ERROR - "validateContextToken: workflow session was not found for given context. Create a new workflow session with token"

Hello everyone,
I have the following scenario:
We're using "Oracle SOA Suite 11g 11.1.1.7.0" (Patched w/ 17893896) mainly for a BPM/Human workflow composite. Former, we were having the error bellow:
<Mar 16, 2015 1:13:03 PM BRT> <Error> <oracle.soa.services.workflow.query> <BEA-000000> <<.> Verification Service cannot resolve user identity. User weblogic cannot be found in the identity repository. Workflow Context token cannot be null in request.

When that error ocurred, no one was able to use the system (BPM/Human Workflow).
I opened an SR, and after some analysis from the support, it recommended me to set up "virtualize=true" in EM, and restarting the domain. Then it started logging the following:
connection to ldap://[10.200.10.57]:7001 as cn=Admin.
javax.naming.NamingException: No LDAP connection available to process request for DN: cn=Admin.
Looking up on support KB, I found this note Doc ID 1545680.1 and increased from Max size of Connection Pool 10 to 200. That did work successfully! Problem now is that the <SERVER>_diagnostic.log is being filled up with the following error:

One important point is that we're using only the embedded WLS ldap. So I am not 100% sure if we should be using the virtualize flag=true, once all docs I read point out that this should be done when using multi-ldap providers.
Also, I only got this error in the "diagnostic.log".
Although, no user has complained about using the system, I really want to work it out. Anyone has any suggestions?

Need to Learn ABAP OO and Workflow concepts.

I am just a 2 weeks old in Sap - ABAP, I was working on MS-.NET.
But somehow ABAP is attracting me more than any other language, I did certification as well.
But somehow I am not able to understand the ABAP OO concepts inregards to workflow and exactly how to apply.
I am reading every thread related to this from last 3 weeks now but didnt get any link/satisfactory answer to how to enhance my skill and use my OO knowledge of .NET in ABAP.
I am very much familiar with OO concepts and dont want to read those again, but what I exactly want to read about
1. THE SIGNIFICANCE OF OO IN ABAP.
2. WHERE TO APPLY/ MAY BE HOW TO USE THOSE.
3. ANYTHING RELATED TO ABAP WORKFLOW.
if anyone used/or have knowledge of any such book/forum/blog/posts/sdn.forum/ please do let me know.
This will help me in great level.

Your behavior is the only thing that counts here. And you look like a nice guy. If you would like to drop me a line in future, you can do that, I don´t mind, maybe we could find topics to talk about. And about that abap feature/ future post... I don´t care about the points (I don´t ask for any...) but the points count is the indicator of ones behavior:
The guy, who always asks and nobody answers is selfish and not a candidate for me to answer. You must help to get helped, that is my motto. You must prove you´re worth the time and effort.
I asked a question under B1 forum once where the top 1 contributor there tried hard to help because he knew I am active around here. That was a nice feeling. And from my point of view... get some points to prove you´re a nice guy and I will do my best to help you with any problem that may appear. I am not the only one who thinks this way, I think.
But that is not a rule here, just my opinion.
Maybe... one day, you will remember my words and write a blog for the beginners or help in some way to pay back what you have learnt here. Become a member of the community, spread the knowledge... and let´s talk:))

Digital signing workflow

hey!
i'm setting a file and envoronment for digital signing of a particular form, reading a lot literature related to digital ID, but still have few questions:
1. When the first signer certifies, by this he approves the contents of the file.. what about in the end of workflow, can he lock the document when signed and agreed from everyone?
2. Digital ID: it consist of certificate+private key.. I'll make each participant his/her own Digital ID. Please tell me if my method is correct:
- Advanced --> Security Settings --> Add ID --> new ID --> New PKCS#12 digital ID file (to password protect it) --> personal data --> finish
Now I have ID including the private key, right? (according to the icon with key on it)
- If i export the ID, I get the Exchange Certificate which all participants should install each others into trusted root so the file doesn't prompt them as unknown all the time, right?
The private key stays in Digital ID, right?
- When I send anyone his/her Digital ID with security protected private key in it, he/she shall install it via Advanced --> Security settings --> add ID, right?
(not by clicking on it, because by clicking on it the digital ID installs into Windows Certificate Store)
I need password protected IDs.
3. Can i limit each signer to sign only his/her signature field? (if anyone accidently deletes anything)
4. When in the middle of filling-in of a dynamic form workflow (and signing the form) someone doesn't agree and changes something that's already
filled-in, then the signatures previous to the change don't apply any more (because the signers were signing and confirming the data applied until that particular time in a workflow). What to do in this case? Send the form back into workflow from beginning and ask the participants to delete their own signature and sign again?

When you add a comment to an online review, you aren’t really changing the PDF file that is sitting on the review server. Comments (any annotation is a comment) live on a separate layer and can be added over the existing PDF without changing the underlying PDF. They are store in a separate data base independent of the PDF file.
Digital Signatures on the other hand require the PDF be modified as part of the signing process. Acrobat (or Reader) has to go into the PDF and build a hole for the signature. Browser based reviews can’t handle that operation. If you allow someone to write to the PDF on the server it opens a security vulnerability, and you also have the problem that occurs is two people are trying to write at the same time it would corrupt the file.
The bottom line is you cannot sign a PDF as part of a browser based review. If you have ever signed a file in the browser, what you’ve really done is create a local copy in the temp store and sign that. You might have noticed that if you don’t save the file (there is a flaw in the UI workflow that you are not prompted to save a part of the browser signing experience) then when you go back to view it online ther is no signature. When you do save, all that is happening is you are copying the local temp file to a location and name of your choosing.
