Workflow Customizing Error: "Workflow: No workflow definition found"

Hi experts,
I am currently configuring Workflow on our newly installed ECC 6.0 using the Automatic Workflow Customizing (SWU3).
I was able successfully executed all necessary items including the RFC destination but when i choose the 'Start Verification Workflow', this error appears: "Workflow: No workflow definition found".
I tried logging in and out of the system, and repeating the execution of each item but the same error still occurs.
I read a thread that says it might do something with WF-BATCH but i was able to set it as the RFC destination; WF-BATCH has the following settings in SU01:
Username: WF-BATCH
User Type: System
User Group: SUPER
Authorization: SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW
Hope somebody can help me resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Hi Dex,
Have you maintained the Number ranges in Transaction SWU3?
If so, then test the workflow from SWDD itself.
I think you gave the wrong workflow ID in the SWUS transaction.
First try with SWDD and then check it in SWUS Transaction.

How to show a custom error message in Workflows

Hi
I am working on an already developed Z copy of BO FIPP.
The requirement is to make a customer specific validation on Profit centers which should be checked just before posting the document.
I am aware of the POST method in FIPP that uses Function Module - PRELIMINARY_POSTING_POST_ALL to make sure that everything is fine and captures the errors as well if any. - But it captures only standard SAP errors.
How can I use this FM to capture my custom errors as well.
Or is there any way to achieve this.

Thanks for your response.
The FM returns the error messages if they are standard ones. For example, if the posting period is closed - the FM will not allow the Workflow to proceed further.
But in this case, I have a custom error - for a particular Profit center, Cost center and I/O fields are mandatory(not at time of parking, but should be filled before posting).
Since this is not a standard error, this FM will not stop workflow from proceeding further. How can I have the custom error captured in this FM?

Workflow customizing error

Hi,
When i run the auto customizing for workflow i get the following error:
Log Entry - Output device "" not known
Execution - Automatic
Component - SAP_BASIS
Activity - Schedule Background Job for Missed Deadlines
I have checked SU01 and the output device was already maintained.
Please advise.

Basically the advice is: check the print settings of your own user and WF-BATCH.

CurrentRequestActivity Class has a property called
CurrentRequest this class is available to you in your activity (See example) This returns a
RequestType object which has a
ManagementPolicyRules member which leads to the set(s) involved. It also has an
ActionWorkflowInstances property
However, what you are doing breaks the encapsulation of the activity. The activity should be like a black box to the admin -- feed in the same parameters in config and the same data at runtime and I get the same result. Having it depend on the workflow MPR
or set makes that impossible. I would suggest separate workflow activities in different workflows. It will be cleaner encapsulation and make the life of the FIM admin easier.

Custom Workflow Load Error in Power Center error code 36331

I have installed OBIEE version 11.1.6 and OBI APPS version 7.9.6.3. I am using informatica power center 9.0.1.
I have followed the following guide Oracle® Business Intelligence Applications Configuration Guide for Informatica PowerCenter Users

When i run a load i am getting the error code 36331.

I have checked all of the Mappings, Mapplets and Workflows as well as generating parameters for attempting the load, but it still errors. Does anyone have any ideas?

Was the Workflow or the DAC task been modified. Because the Out-of box customer dimension task would look like:

I have created a workflow. I want to move the workflow from one client to other for testing it. For this i need to transport workbench and customizing requests of my workflow. Can you please tell me how to find the workbench and customizing request of my workflow. Is there any option in SWDD which will show the specific workflow & customizing request for that workflow.

se01 will help you find the transport with your workflow but not the any other transports which may be part of your workflow project.
se10 transaction can be used to see transports by user. Check off both customizing and workbench requests since you will have both types of transports. The user id needs to be that of the developer that created the transport. Modified vs Released - select both if you are not sure if the transports have been released or not.

FlatFile Connection ?
After that I created new Plan & generate the parameter and also built it successfully but when I run that execution plan it give error.
Please any one can help me regarding this issue.

Error while executing Automatic Workflow Customizing

Hi!!!!!!
In ECC6.0, i need to activate all the workflows in SWU3 (Automatic Workflow Customizing), but i was able to activate only some of the steps, remaining is still in red mark. While executing "Schedule Background Job for Missed Deadlines", it is giving error as "Object with runtime number ' 0' not defined". So please let me know how to resolve this issue.

Hi Emre,
In our case the problem was in several confirmation standard workflows.
In the workflow builder (SWDD) we use the navigation Area to check every workflow. I mean we did double click in each step, if the step had a subworkflow, then we open the subworhflow, checked it, and if it appeared the same error we used the function module for the subworkflow.
In this way we achieved to solve the problem. I hope this helps you.

We had to update following in assemblyinfo.cs file.

to

Only then custom code activity started working. However, this means, when we want to deploy in other environment with different URL, we need to re-build the assembly.
Is there any way by which we have this configurable?

List not found error when a site workflow is called from list workflow

Hi ,
I have created a SharePoint 2013 list workflow , where in i call call 2010 site workflow.
The 2010 site workflow has just a log message in it.
when i run this 2013 workflow. it calls 2010 workflow , and then workflow status gives cancelled ,
if I run site workflow independently it works, if i call a 2010 list workflow within 2013 workflow it works.
The error message is list not found.
Please provide me the solution for this,.

GRC 10.0 Workflow customizing problem

Hi experts,
We are working with GRC Access Control 10.0 and when doing the customizing tasks related with workflows we have an issue that doesnt let us continue.
Here is the background information.
We are in the "IMG/Governance Risk and Compliance/General Settings/Workflow/Perform Automatic Workflow Customizing" or easiest, we are in transaction code SWU3.
Here we have: Maintain Runtime Environment, all green, Maintain Definition Environment, all green, Maintain Additional Settings and Services, a red cross :(.
So, when opening the tree of our red cross task, we find that the only task that is with a red cross is "Maintain Web Server".
So, we execute the task, and here we have the following information:
Service = Webflow (Internet)
Address web server = http://<our web server>:8000/
Protocol Address = HTTP
Path of service = sap/bc/workflow_xml/?
URL = http://<our web server>:8000/sap/bc/workflow_xml/?
And here is something that kept our attention. When we push the button to test the URL, our IE opens a page but it is in blank (it doesnt show anything).
As we saw that, we thought that the service was not active and so went to transaction SICF and checked it, and yes, when you test the service, it doesnt work.
We finally, checked support packages upgrades and went to SP5 in our GRC server and SP5 in both plugins in our SAP ERP server.
And, here we are. Have no idea what else to do or check.
Any suggestion?

I have just checked my SICF settings and found that we have not actually activated those services at all and our NWBC sessions work fine now.
Have you activated the sap/bc/nwbc and sap/bc/webdynpro services?
Also, have you activated the required BC sets for the standard content on Access Controls? This removes the need to do a lot of the basic setups but you still need to follow through the event linkages to check the successful generation etc.

FOr most of your requirements, there is already std. SAP IDOC error Single-step tasks.
Have a look at WE46 transaction.
Also, if you go to SWO1 and search with "IDOC*", you will get all the BO's even.
It's pretty straightfwd. Also, in Partner Profiles, WE20, for each of the IDOC type, there is one "Post.Processing AGent", whom if you set up correctly, will be the person receiving this Errored IDOC mails.

Automatic workflow customizing SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING

Hi Friends,
I am getting issues with "Automatic workflow customizing - SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING". Can you all please look into this? The problem is
I entered the transaction "SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING". There i can see that all are not GREEN.
Under "Maintain Runtime Environment", i have following items RED:
1. Schedule Background Job for Missed Deadlines.
2. Schedule Background Job for Work Items with Errors.
Under Maintain Definition Environment, following item is RED:
1. Check Entries from HR Control Tables
Everything else are GREEN. Can you please let me know why the above are RED and How to make it GREEN?
I have implemented FILE TO IDOC scenarion using BPM and getting a error of 99 in SXI_CACHE. Is this problem is because of the above are RED?
