Workflow didnot restart after DR
Hi All,
We have a workflow in our system that sends email reminders every hour of a workflow user decision for 24 hours. We had a situation where the system went down and it had to be restored to a previous time. We ended up restoring the system to a previous time which was 15 mins older than the point it went down ( Data Loss 15 mins ).
After the system came up we saw the workflow deadline monitoring wasn't working any more.
Have anyone else encountered the situation and have found ways for re triggering / reactivating the same workflow items so that it keeps on monitoring the deadlines.
Regards,
Arunava
Hello,
Check in SM37 if SWDDHEX is running. Restart via SWU3.

Prevent automatic workflow restart after error on an interface
Hi, i've got an IDOC-XI-SOAP interface that sends large xml's.
It causes me constants time-outs because, the reciever interface, doesn't send the response until finish processing (more than 3 minutes per IDOC).
I need 2 things to solve this issue.
1- Change the time-out for this particular interface
2- Cancel the automatic workflow restart after error on this particular interface
Thanks for your time,
RobertoRSXMB_RESTART_MESSAGES program when schedueld in BG restarts failed messages. Hence you can cancel this process. But it will affect other interfaces also.

I have 1 more Question for you. Are you usigna BPM for IDOC --> XI -- >SOAP?? B'cos IDOCS are aysnc in nature & you are talking about waiting for SOAP response from your receiver.

Not able to recover and restore Lenovo V100 (WinXP professional) ; restarts after hanging at line mup.sys in safe mode.
Problem started occurring suddenly after restart of the laptop.
Windows XP start page (With dots moving) came up and I tried to restart the laptop in Safe mode.
It stopped at a line mup.sys and after a while restarted automatically.
Tried with inbuilt lenovo recovery and restore option.. but in vain...
each screen is very very slow.. I tried patiently (With restore back to factory settings options) but finally I got message that restore failed.
Can any body please help to me to resolve the Issue. I'm new to Tokyo and dont know any servicing center here :-(...
Any body from Tokyo ? can you tell me where the service center is here in Shinagawa?
Thanks in Advance....

iTunes RADIO is not working.
“iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. Make sure your internet connection is active and try again.” Try as I may, as many as ten attempts, trying to connect after restart, after shutdown, nothing works. Just so …
iTunes STORE not “connectable” with my otherwise perfectly-working internet connection, viable, up and running for all other uses.
Simply put, firstly, I can't connect to the internet when I click on Radio. People are quite suspicious that this is Apple incompetence or your company's famous arrogance for this commonly-suffered problem that you won't or “can’t” fix.
Read the many web comments and you won’t be pleased with yourselves: the suspicion is that if you ruin internet radio on iTunes, Apple will somehow make more money on music downloads, etc. Bull.
Also, thirdly, my old playlist of 20 or so internet radio stations in the Ambient category STILL PLAYS !
Then fourth, I installed the latest available version of QuickTime Player 7.app Version 7.6.6 but it didn’t solve the problem either. I had QuickTime Player.app Version 10.2, but substituted what Apple website said was the latest, LOWER NUMBERED QuickTime Player version of 7.6.6
Fifth, I can't connect to iTunes store no matter what I do or what user group's advice I try. So I can’t buy or download anything from iTunes. Bad for business.
Sixth, I updated to the latest version of iTunes but this weird problem remains. All suggested Apple fixes or user group fixes are useless. Where is Apple’s famous technical competency, vaunted customer support?, and user-friendly product reputation? Get it back, please.
Solve this problem of yours ASAP for us, your numerous disgruntled, dissatisfied customers of iTunes. You can do better, should, and really –in all fairness- must.
===============================================================
NOTE: no password for iTunes exists in my Keychain. Is this a problem?
Apple ACCOUNT ID, and iTunes ID password, works but not to access iTunes with my healthy internet connection.
Apple store id It works via direct internet connetion but not through iTunes. Very strange.

Blue screen on restart after 10.4 install
i have an ibook and tried to upgrade to 10.4 from 10.2.8. after having to try twice to install 10.4 (i kept getting the "try again" error message), it worked. but on restart, after the grey "OS X" screen, it goes to a blue screen and just sits there like it's finished starting up. the screen saver even goes on after awhile.
any help will be greatly appreciated!
ibook Mac OS X (10.4)You could try to boot with Command-V and see if anything relevant shows up there (verbose boot mode).
Where does the CD you use to install comes from ? Is that a retail version or one delivered with another machine ?
If you have another mac, you can try to apply the combo update 10.4.8 to your system (attach your sick mac's hard drive by booting it in Target mode ("T" key at early boot state). -
Ipod touch 4th gen needed a new screen and sleep/wake switch. So, I replace them. I was able to get to settings and do "erase all content and settings". I am not able to totally shut this device off as it keeps restarting after a few seconds. I have used itunes to restore and also recover. Device will actually shut off and stay shut off if I leave it connected to the computer. The moment I unplug (3 seconds) the apple logo appears, it boots, unlock screen appears, I can unlock and operate normally, unplugged or not. Just cant get it to completely shut down unplugged. Any thoughts?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem. Maybe you installed a bad component or damaged something during the repair/replacement.
Apple will not help since you worked on the iPod yourself. -
I tried to update the software of my iphone 3gs while charging with my Macbook Pro. While the phone was restarting after installation, in the setting up my phone menu, it stops midway with a message in itunes on the laptop that there is no simcard.
Then put a SIM in. You cannot activate an iPhone without a compatible Sim.
If your iPhone was hacked/jailbroken the update restore the lock. -
Hello. My mac pro early 2008 restarts after sleep mode and it works slower. I tested it with apple hardwear test and it seems to be ok. Thank you.
Try this:
clone your system and repair it with Disk Warrior instead
Or try a clean test system install on another drive
A must: SmcFanControl 2.2 - a mere 400 rpm extra to keep air cooling up
Try to run w/o externals. MyBook included.
Is that a 7200.11 1TB? they had a lot of issues.
Run AHT off your OEM DVD.
2008 had to have EFI and SMC updates to deal with freezes on wake from sleep, and like all models, high inrush current. Hopefully you have a UPS and is 1500VA unit.
When you do hard restart from power button, you almost certainly add more directory errors and to files requiring immediate attention to repair and rebuild the directory; and to scan and repair and delete cache and temp files and folders. A must. Invest in bootable backups SuperDuper along with Disk Warrior (or TechTool Pro 6, maybe Drive Genius 3 but I'd rate that #3).
TimeMachine has its own bad habits, especially with Green drives and some externals.
Try to rule out everything and then add back one at a time.
And it may just be time to replace the 8800, very common, a couple threads this week, and it is 3 yrs old. Might want ATI 5870 or 5770. -
OS 8.6 won't quit or restart after hard shutdown
While testing a G3 266MHz beige mini tower running OS 8.6, the system hung and refused to shut down even when the power button was pressed and held, so I literally had to pull the plug. The operation it hung on was opening a folder containing a large number of files (several thousand) on a mounted volume from an OS 10.4.8 machine. Disk utility and DiskWarrior reported no damage after restarting the machine, however the machine now seems to have a problem: it refuses to shut down or restart from "Special" menu and still refuses to turn off from the power button. I can change the startup disk to a utility volume and run repairs from it, which I just did even though no damage reported, but when booted from the original disk problem is still there. Any ideas as to what's causing this behavior?
Thanks in advance for any insights.Seems to be working OK after several restarts from utility volume. Maybe "auto restart after power failure" in Energy saver server settings had something to do with it.

Unable to restart after software update 10.3.1.1779
I am unable to get my Z10 to restart after this update.
I have searched endless avenues and have now resorted to deleteing the notifcations for this update when they come in, I have downloaded and installed it, but when asked to restart, my phone stalls on the loading screen forever, the longest I have waited for it to restart is 3 days, with 24 hours of that on 99%.
I am now the but of all phone related jokes as everyone I know has an IPHONE that works perfectly, but I insist on keeping this awful Z10 becuse I dont want to join their rank....too tink I spent £500 on this when it came out (more fool me)
It would seem that the general consensus is, I will have to go to the inconveience of taking my Z10 in to a phone shop, were they will send it off to BB for the update to be installed.
PS; Blacberry's forum is as hard to navigate as the phone is to actually get working proberly. This has been the worst software update I have ever encountered. My Q10 is completely unreliable and I am going to switch to another device in the morning. I have restored factory settings and have successfully wiped the app to sync my shared Google Calendars, the z and y keys have swapped on my keypad and the Q10 still turns itself off arbitrarily, wipes all text and phone messages and can't recall what network I'm on or what my home wifi settings are.

Restarting after waking from sleep
I have a mid 2010 macbook pro running Mountain Lion OS X 10.8.3 of which keeps restarting after being left in sleep mode for an hour or two. When waking from sleep mode, the mac functions for about 5 seconds, before restarting by itself. I have tried deleting certain plist files (as suggested by other posts) but that doesn't seem to have helped. I have also recently installed a new hard drive, but i continue to have the same problem. Below is the panic report from the recent restart after waking from sleep mode:

You may want to try a clean system install to test with once you have the RAM replaced. Faulty RAM can cause all kinds of issues. And dirty files. Some deeper check for corrupt files than Disk Utility is probably in order.

Folks,
I'm re-posting this here from another thread in the hope that I'll get a better response. It's a compilation of my observations to date.
Situation:
My MBP has begun to refuse to start on first attempt. This AM it started fine. I then shut it down & tried again a few minutes later. Nothing. Would not restart.
I removed the battery/mag-safe & held the power button down for 5 seconds. I also cleared the PRAM. Yesterday I tried holding the power button down while inserting the power cord. It started. Today I could not replicate this. However, after about 10 tries it finally turned on. Battery is fully charged.
Once booted it runs perfectly. Yesterday, just in case, I made an image of both my Mac & BootCamp partitions. No problem.
This has me stumped. Bad power switch? Loose power switch connection? I'm perfectly willing to fix this myself if somebody can point me in the right direction.
Update:
I went to my local Apple Store & spoke with one of their techs. Very professional.
He suggested I replace the upper case. I can do that.
However, after I came home I had a thought (rare enough), so I tried a little experiment. I discovered that, if I leave the machine off for 18 minutes or more, it starts just fine. Every time.
Could this be a temperature/heat related matter? And, if so, what could the heat be affecting??
Update #2:
I haven't heard a word from anyone as to the possible cause of this phenomenon; except to try installing a new $300 upper case.
I'm becoming concerned that I may have no choice but to ship this rig back to Apple. I'd hate to do that. I don't want to be without it for the weeks it would take to maybe find the problem & maybe fix it. I'll fix it myself, if only I can isolate the culprit.
So, here's what I've done since the last entry:
1.) I timed how long it takes for it to "recover" so that it will power up after being shut down. It was between 18 & 20 minutes.
2.) I ran Tech Tool Pro 4. It passed every test, including memory.
3.) CPU temp at rest is somewhere around low 40's to mid 50's Celsius. That's about 5 degrees higher than my new iMac at work, but this is a Core Duo MBP & they tend to run warm.
4.) I ran Software Update last night. It updated and rebooted fine. But, that didn't involve using the power button.
My next test will be to see if it will do a hard shut down immediately after boot; before the unit has had a chance to get hot. But, hopefully someone will have a suggestion in the meantime.
Update #3:
This AM I pressed the power button & started the boot process. I then, after about 15 second pressed & held the button down to see if it would power down. It did.
I then rebooted & allowed it to fully load. Then, after about 2 minutes, I tried a hard shutdown. No go.
Therefore, it would seem that either heat, or some "full" electrical charge (?) is preventing the power button shutdown or startup after it has been allowed to completely boot.
After about 20 minutes, after the heat or charge has dissipated, it works just fine.
If I have to send this machine to Apple so be it. But, my growing concern is that this problem is so obscure that I might be without my computer for a considerable period of time.
At this point any and all comments are more than welcome. I'm desperate.
Thanks,
JackS.U. &/or anyone else,
O.K., I'm back to square one.
History:
1.) I discovered that my MBP would only restart after a rest period of somewhere around 20 minutes. I assumed a heat/power button issue. My local Apple Store tech suggested that upper case needed replacement.
2.) On a whim If discovered that if I pressed the TYGH keys fairly hard the machine would restart immediately, without the waiting period mentioned in #1 above. Since the keyboard cable to logic board connector is right under these keys I assumed that the connector was loose. I ordered some Kapton tape and planned to reseat the keyboard connector and retape it more securely.
3.) While waiting for the tape to arrive I kept using the TYGH key combo if I needed a fast resart. But, after 2-3 days of doing this I noticed that it didn't always immediately work; that I would need to repeat the process. Then after the machine booted I noticed that some keys began to refuse to work. If I pressed randomly around the board eventually they would come to life, but not always stay alive. It seemed to be getting worse, so to prevent further damage I retired the MBP & grabbed my old iBook G3.
4.) The tape arrived. Yesterday I opened the case, examine the keyboard cable plug & logic board socket under a magnifier. Both looked undamaged. I then reseated the connector and taped it down securely. Everything looked perfect.
5.) I reassembled the machine, slowly & carefully. I then pushed the power button. Nothing. So, I tried the TYGH combo. The machine started. But, many keys refused to work.
So, here is where it stands. I'm going to assume that I have a keyboard or keyboard cable malfunction; not a power button problem.
Question: I'll get a keyboard from iFixit & install myself if the general consensus is that the keyboard is the problem. But, does the keyboard come with the cable? I see no reason to replace the upper case, since it doesn't come with the keyboard, only the power button & trackpad. and, that doesn't seem to be the problem.
Any further suggestion in this situation are more than welcome. -
Laptop taking really long time to restart after battery drain
Last night I had a weird experience with my mid-2011 MacBook Pro; I went out to dinner and came back to find the cat had kicked the power cord out, draining the battery. I've had this happen before and wasn't too worried; it's always just restarted after I plugged it back in. This time, however, I plugged it in (getting, perplexingly, a green light on the cord) and nothing happened except for the sleep light slowly flashing; it didn't respond to any pressing on the power button, and the sleep light disappeared if I unplugged the cord. The battery test button on the side got one flashing light (meaning, I believe, a dead battery), which also didn't work if the computer was unplugged.
I left it plugged in while I hunted for info on the problem and about an hour later had just decided that I was going to have to take it in to the Genius Bar when it suddenly booted up. The cord light turned orange and it proceeded to fully recharge over the next two hours.
Is this normal behavior after a battery drain? Should I be concerned? Is it worth taking the computer in to get the battery checked, or some other element of the comp? (some of the things I looked at were talking about the logic board, which is not a happy thought)
iStat Pro claims the battery is at 41% health, 111 cycles, which I would think would mean it has some life in it yet.
Anyway, I'd appreciate any advice anyone can offer.
Thanks!Battery Health: 41%
It is better to get it checked at Apple Store.
If Extended AppleCare is not purchased, Mac is under limited warranty for 1 year
from the date of purchase.
Make use of that warranty.
Best.
