Workflow ECC User name Issue

Hi ! Work flow Experts!
I am triggering work flow from crm to ECC vise versa,I am unable to get Initiator User name it shows only CRM user name (RFC USER).
I want to get ECC server User names in CRM. I am running an remote function module from ECC to CRM, so i am getting only CRM user name,could any body advice me how to get an ECC server user names Its Urgent.

Since the workflow is initiated from CRM initiator will always be the one in CRM (crm user name).
To get ECC server user name in CRM you will have to use rfc to fetch data from ecc and get it in CRM. Initiator for for one workflow will always be one, if you want another agent then capture the name and create another conatiner element and use it.

N96 Email User name issue

I have my N95 8gb set up with 3 email accounts and they all send and receive just fine.
I have replicated a 3 on my N96 updated and running latest v11 software to find that there appears to be a software problem.
The 'user name' field allows you to enter what looks like at least 40+ character 'user name' however it only saves 30 odd characters - cutting off anything after that when you exit the menu's. (Sometimes jumps back to main front screen)
This is a issue as my user name is 35 characters long.
Anyone else have the same problem; any ideas ?
If anyone at Nokia is reading please can you advise ?

For sure people can get confused with user names and email addresses - it does change per provider; sometimes yor email address is the same as your user name and sometimes the two are different.
100% certain the issue exists and needs resolving by Nokia.
(I have experience of setting these settings up many times on various devices - phones, PC's & MAC's - I can set up the account in question on my Nokia N95 8GB, my Nokia 6300 etc etc 1st time every time.
Does not help other then to be certain a fix is needed.

Oracle Apps adapter: User name issue

Hi All,
I am using SOA 11g to call an API in EBS using Oracle Apps Adapter .I am passing User name,Responsibility Name and other parameteres in invoke properties. Now the API is called successfully with most of the user names while for few usenames it's not able able to resolve user id based on user name. Although if the API is called from Oracle Apps/PL SQL ,it is working for all the users.
Please suggest.

Oracle Connector User-Name Issue: "Claude La User"

Folks - I have an Oracle Collaboration Suite User who has no issue connecting
to the calendar server via the "Windows Oracle Calendar Client" Application or via the
Calendar-Server Web-Interface: He has a somewhat unique 3-part name: We'll
call him "Claude La User".
However we've tried a 1001 combinations with "connector" & it simply
cannot find any user with this or some combo of his account name:
The Oracle Calendar client application happily accepts "Claude La User", but no such luck
with "Connector: Similarly, no such luck with any variation or combinations of that name:
Ex;
ClaudeLa User, Claude LaUser, Claude User, La User, User La Claude, etc., etc.
Any thoughts?

You could try entering a caret "^" character in the space. OC often doesn't like spaces within a first or last name. The native client is more adept at dealing with it. If that doesn't work, try the account's UID.

ECC user licenses issue for using Webdynpro ABAP in portal

Hi all,
If we want to use Webydnpro ABAP in our external facing portal which is being used by more than 20000 users, how do we manage the ECC licenses for all these users? It will be really expensive to have that many number of licenses in ECC (one for every portal user). Is there any other work around for this?
Any info on this will be beneficial.

I am not sure why you want to use WebDynpro for External Portal . As Webdynpro is resource intensive , I never saw client asking for this type of requirement. Are developing any prototype ?
In my experience ABAP webdynpro is more is used more for business packages and internal portals not for external portals. If you want to use this AWD for EEP Please see below link from SAP Help for pre-requisites

Last Step in above Link, this mentions that ABAP Webdynpro needs logon.
As other people mentioned there might be a good way of doing if you contact your SAP account executive to find out if there are any different types of licenses. But you end up in taking other extra licences which not acceptable solution for clients.
If you want to use WebDynpro for external Portal ( which is not at all suggested for external ) at any cost , better to go with Web Dynpro for Java which will not need any extra licences on R3.

Sales Agreement workflow errored on 3205: is not a valid role or user name.

Hi experts,
We're currently on EBS R12.1.2 We're running into an issue that seems like a very general issue that other businesses would have encountered before. We have a business user who creates most of sales agreements. When this business user left the company, we set active end date on the particular userid. Now, when we go into these sales agreements originally created by this particular userid, and put in the expiration date to expire these sales agreement. We're seeing the sales agreement workflow erroring out in the pre-notification workflow email with error 3205: is not a valid role or user name.
It seems to be this is a very typical business scenario. If you have encountered this problem, please share how you resolved this issue within your oracle apps environment.

We have the same problem in 11.5.10.2. If we want use this blanket sales agreement I have to skipped this notification by sysadmin and after this I can extend end date and another user can use this BSA.

I am receiving the 'Could not sign you in [Access denied: 530]. Check your user name and password' problem on Adobe Muse CC 2014 and I cannot access the xml file that is supposed to fix this issue?

I am a PC user and I have Adobe Creative Cloud Muse 2014. I have received the 'Could not sign you in [Access denied: 530]. Check your user name and password' error when trying to upload my muse site to my ftp host, GoDaddy. I have successfully done this in the past and only recently it has stopped working. I looked online at the FAQ Adobe Muse Help | Uploading an Adobe Muse Site to a third-party hosting service and it said to download the ftpprefs.xml file but this file simply leads to a blank page that says /*Not found*//*Not found*/.
Can someone direct me to a working page with this file or provide a different solution? Thank you!

As you are getting error [Access denied: 530] it means issue is with access. Either the username and password you are entering is incorrect or you do not have proper permissions.
I would suggest you to contact Godaddy to either reset password or reset the permissions.

User name change prevents task completion in SP Workflow

I have a workflow on a library including Infopath forms. Basically, user submits document, a group gets assigned a task and so on and so forth. I am using SharePoint 2010 and Infopath 2010 and used Designer for the Workflow.
Recently, one of our users got married and her name was changed. Ever since, whenever she submits a form to the library, nobody is able to complete the tasks generated by the workflow instance her submitted item created. This is the error we see:
The form cannot be submitted because it contains validation errors.
Errors are marked with either a red asterisk (required fields) or a red,
dashed border (invalid values). Field or group: d:Author Error: No
exact match was found. Click the item(s) that did not resolve for more
options.
Click OK to resume filling out the form. You may want to check your form data for errors.
We use Active Directory to maintain our users. When we look at active Directory, this account is fine. But in SharePoint, while the account has the new name (Jane Doe), the user ID remain the old one (jsmith rather than jdoe).
Can anyone help?

Sharepoint Site User name,created by and Modified field issue

I am being admin of sharepoint site . I have added a user to my sharepoint site from people and groups(Site Action-->Site Settings-->Users and Permissions-->People and Groups). So Now "Created by" and "Modified by" field should
show My login name(display name) in those fields Right ? But In those field it is showing user name whom I have added to my sharepoint site. I have added user to my site so My display name should be their in "created by" and "modified
by" field. Facing this issue on PROD and UAT.

Actually, the users have been added to the site groups or granted with permissions in Site Permissions, then the users will be added to the User Information List of the site collection.
I recommend to check if the users you added have already been listed in the User Information List.
If yes, then the Created By and Modified By fields have already been filled with other values.
Created By field will show the user name who is the first one to add the user to the site and the Modified By field will show the last one who edit the My Settings of that user.
To access the User Information List, you can type the URL like this:
http://server/_catalogs/users/detail.aspx.

Issue: The user name changed when switch to other links in SCN

Hi,
I just wanted to bring to the notice of the moderators (as I don't know where can I report for the IT related issues) that for the past few days I am facing a peculiar behaviour when I log into the SCN through Internet Explorer 8.0. This is also being faced by my peers too..:)
The issue is that when I login to SCN, I can see my user name on the top of the page(Home page). But when I switch to say 'Forum', the user name is changed and this is random. I kind of have access to his/her account.
Even I try to log off, nothing happens.. The only solution left is to close the IE and then try to login again.
Kindly have a look into this issue.

Ive (along with many others) noticed the same problem with the Forums about 2 years ago, where after log-in or clicking a certain thread I find myself in someone's else's id. And the id keeps changing from time to time with no end in sight.
The problem took about a couple of days to be rectified.

Unknown user name or bad password issue while creating AD accounts

While creating accounts on AD through IdM, I am getting below error. Sometimes I don't see this error while sometimes I do. What could be the actual reason ?

I just faced the same problem while provisionning account on AD through Sun Identity Manager Gateway. (I'm in Oracle Waveset 8 patch 6)
When I test configuration on the configuration page of my AD resource, everything was ok, but when i tried to create / update account on AD, i had the same error. (when i forced a bad password for example, the test configuration was in error, so i know that was ok)
I resolved the problem using IP address in "LDAP Server Name" instead of url or host name. I don't understand because 'ping' on url and test configuration on resource were ok.

Sharepoint Foundation 2013 User field issue

Guys, I have an issue with Sharepoint Foundation 2013 site that we have created some custom workflows for. We have a couple required fields that we type in a users name and it automatically pulls up a user based on Active directory. once we choose that name
and then save the form. the field immediately becomes blank when i open the workflow item back up. I'm kind of at a loss. I've already totally hosed the server once and was forced to restore. This seams to have started when we installed share point server
patch KB2881077 but i cannot uninstall or roll back the patch as there is no option to.
Thoughts?

Get user name - web services throws error if a name has special character

I am calling UserProfileService.asmx web service and using GetUserPropertyByAccountName. The method works for almost everyone except for those who has special characters in the Preferred Name. How do I fix this? We are having serious production issues and
would like to know how to fix the issue.

I am using codeplex tool "web service studio 2.0" to verify this.

I have NO clue what is going on. When I go to user profile from Central Admin the user account is domainxp.net\username. But when I pull up the user using address bar (say in edit form) I see domain\usename. Could this be confusing the workflow which is
calling the web services?
I ran the following powershell and after few minutes it starting to resolve the user name without any errors. I like to know what is going on here. Problem is solved for now but I wont be surprise if I see the same problem after doing a Full AD sync.

User name, organization, or serial number is missing or corrupt. FIX

Regardless of how this is happening--or why----it IS happening every time I try to run Adobe Photoshop elements 4.0. I purchased the program back in October, 2005 and have never been able to use it for more than a day or two. Without fail, I will open the program and get the message: Your Adobe Photoshop elements user name, organization, or serial number is missing or invalid. The application cannot continue and MUST now exit. And, believe me, it EXITS immediately! In the past I have only been able to completely uninstall the program and then reinstall it---until the point where the program no longer appeared in the ADD/REMOVE programs of the control panel--although it was installed but not working. Apparently, registry cleaners can be the culprit, but I did a complete "CLEAN" install of Windows XP Professional/SP2 and started from scratch with ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER PROGRAMS INSTALLED EXCEPT ELEMENTS 4.0. The program worked for all of one day before I, again, got the error and could no longer use the program. Therefore, I can NOT blame registry cleaners alone. There is something inherent in Windows XP that causes this problem. Through this forum I was able to identify the exact registry key causing the problem:

I was able to go to "regedit" (without the quotes) from the "run" menu and find this key (when the program was working). Highlight the key by clicking once on it and then go up to "file". Next, click "export" and save this key to notepad, Word or my documents---any place you know you can find it. I named it Adobe reg key.reg. The next time the program stops working, go to regedit---then to "file" and then "import". After clicking "import", find where you saved the key and click on it. This should import the key directly back into the registry where it belongs and the program should start working again. So far this has worked for me at least 5 times. There must be some fix for this-----from Adobe----soon. With this key exposed, what's to stop anyone from downloading the trial version, and then writing this key into the registry themselves. It's basically called a "crack" and could be used by anyone seeking to avoid paying for the program---SO----Adobe really needs to address this issue. I am totally against anyone stealing software in any way, shape or form, and I think this is what will happen unless Adobe gets a handle on this issue.

Let me get this straight: Every time your PE4 stops working you have to do a registry edit to get it to work again? That's insane!!!
I can sympathize with you, I've suddenly had similar problems with PE3 and have gotten little help from Adobe other than to be pointed to countless forum threads which do not answer the questions or solve the problem. Strangely it worked for several months before crashing and refusing to work again, not even able to re-install it.
I was pointed to your thread because I was told it was probably my registry cleaner that caused my problem with PE3, obviously they didn'r really read your post.

User name field in Document Information Record

Based on our process design, we would like to use the user field to define the owner of the document (owner is the person in the organization, who initiates the creation of the document and owns it throughout the life-cycle of the document). An example would be the development of a new SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
The advantage of this setup would allow us to use standard role 155 for sending workflow notifications back to the owner during the review and approval process of the document.
We would like to deactivate the automatic change of the user field, when a original stored in a secure storage area is checked out in edit mode. In this scenario, the user name that has been entered during the initial creation of the DIR will be changed to the active user (sy-user) that has opened the document for editing.
Has anybody come across this requirement? Is there a BADI for document management that could be activated when the document is checked out in edit mode to deactivate the change of the user field? If not, where would we have to apply a mod. to disable the update of the user field with the active user during editing of the document original.
Also, any other idea to make this work would be welcome.

You would definitely be able to do this, I'm sure you could use the standard BADI on save to default this back to the original value, however, I see some issues with this, namely from a system audit perspective. Personally, I would rather change the original workflow and use a classification field (link it to table USR02 or USR01 to enable username searching) for the author to prevent it being changed.
By changing the value you effectively lose your search functionality in CV04N because if a user is searching for a document he/she just changed, this will not appear for user based searches because he/she is not the user listed in the DIR.
