WORKFLOW:Fetching agent for task from organisation plan

Dear Experts,
I have created organisation plan.
Now I want to fetch agent for workflow task from the organisation plan created earlier.
Can anybody kindly guide how logic can be written for rule to fetch agent for my task in workflow.

I get this error when I submit a task in worklist app. I have figure out that it is causing due to one payload in the table in the task. If remove that payload I am able to submit the task.

Workflow not triggered for PR from MRP run

Hi,
I have PR Release strategy workflow configured, working well when i try to create PR manually, triggers workflow.
PR's created thorugh MRP run, triggers release strategy but not workflow.
I checked the event trace 'releasestepcreated' event not triggered through MRP run.
Please respond ASAP.
Your inputs will be highly appreciated.

Workflow: Select Reason for rejection from dropdown list.

Hi all
I have to create a step where the Manager has to select the
Reason for Rejection from a dropdown list refering to a custom
parameter table maintained from t-code sm30.

help) from which the supervisor has to select one and it has to be attached and sent as a mail.

Document Parking Workflow Responsible Agent for Two level release

Respected Members,
I have done all the configuration for document parking workflow.
i had said if the amount is greater than one lakh it should go two-level amount release.
My organisation hierarchy includes two positions,
SUB_HEAD with user xyz
HEAD with user ABC.
i have assigned the position HEAD with two level release workflow in spro.
When i am creating a parking document above one lakh, the work items are generating and it is coming
in the inbox for the both users ie xyz and abc.
MY requirement is that when xyz user execute the work item then only it should go to abc user inbox.
it should not go to abc inbox as soon as document is created.
Please give me the answer as soon as possible,

Substitution Rule for Tasks from Custom Connector

Hi All,
I have created custom UWL connector with back end system "X". Now it brings tasks and notifications from that system and works fine. Here I want implement substitution/delegation process for these tasks.
For this, I found API's from following link.

But I dont have idea that how to implement these API's with my connector project.
1. Can you please tell that how to use these API's?

Hi,
1) The following document gives you some help about how to use the APIs related to UWL. It is not direcly related to the substitution API, but at least I managed to build a custom substitution (web dynpro) application with the help of this document quite easily.

2) It really depends on what you are doing. I have actually feeling that if your backend system X is not an SAP system, the substitution API will not be very useful. But I might be wrong, so please take a closer look or try to describe your problem in a more detailed way.

Agents for Hyperion Planning Integration

Hi all,
my customer is performing an integration between E-Biz and Hyperion Planning
* From E-Biz to Hyp Planning (using Planning KMs for dimensions and Essbase KMs for data)
* From Hyp PLanning to E-Biz (using Essbase KMs for data extract and Oracle KMs for loading into GL Interface Table)
Server's architecture is as follows:
* Planning Server
* Essbase Server
* E-Biz Server
We will place an ODI agent at Essbase Server (data extract requirement). This agent will be also used for data load into Essbase.
would it be recommended to have another agent at Planning server for running dimensions load into the Planning application?

I don't usually install an agent on the essbase and planning server, usually the agent is on the essbase server. I have not really seen any performance issues for loading metadata into planning, planning metadata is relatively small anyway.

Try assigning a new Agent Rule in the Task TS20000166.
You will have to create a custom rule using transaction PFAC. Choose option "F - Agent dertermination function to be executed" and assign a new Z function module which will determine your agent.
You can refer to function module ME_REL_GET_RESPONSIBLE while creating your own function module.

Workflow with no agents on tasks

Hello friends, needing some help pls.
I am using a WF combined with the Organizational Structure form HR to get the agents for each task. There you go the doubts:
1.     What can I do or how could I avoid a task for the workflow with no agents on the run time when   the position of the Org. Struct. belonging to this task doesnu2019t have any SAP user (infotype 105) linked to it? Or linked to the respective position , person or employee because there is a vacancy for this position?
2.     in a workflow which uses role 168 (Manager ofu2026) generate errors when the respective position has no SAP User linked by (infotype 105),u2026u2026Because there is a vacancy for this one or whatever,u2026 how can avoid it and control this errors or look for the next level in the Organizational Structure.
3.     Which could be a best practice to model when somebody goes out from the enterprise and thereu2019s no replacement for this guy for some days but the user have to be removed anyway and there is no chance to assign substitutes to this user because the only thing that remains in the workflow is the position, the agent for the task in the workflow makes reference to this position.
4.     Can I assign substitute to a position from the Organizational Structure? and not to the user.

This is a good solution but our situation right now is:u2026there is a vacancy in one position in the Organizational Structure and there is no sap user linked to this position and the company has the policy to donu2019t assign a sap user if there is nobody doing this job but there is a release strategy pointing to this position, so We have to assign a substitute for this position. The problem is that I need the user on this position to assign a substitute (position or SAP user), is that right?, but because the policy of the company, I canu2019t assign a user.
I donu2019t know if I was clear explaining my problem, I hope so, but If I donu2019t, Iu2019ll try again.

I have copied the standard workflow template wa12300111 and assigned the new template in the customizing. When i apply leave from ESS working time , it says an error " You are not one of the possible agent for the task ws9021212? " .
The similar kind of Error i have solved before in by making the workflow as GENERAL TASK in PFTC as follows.
PFTC -> Choose "Workflow Template" from the drop down -> Enter the workflow template id "ws9021212" in the text box -> now click on "change" button -> Now goto the menu addional data -> agent assignment -> maintain -> select the task text -> and set it as general task.
i have cleared the buffer also!
BUT STILL I AM GETTING THE ERROR ?

Try to do this way. IN the workflow builder there is a button with hat. that is basic data. click on that and it will go to another screen and u can find a apple button that is agent assignment for a task click that.
It will open maintain agent assignment screen. click the text below that and click the attribute button and click the genral task. i think this will solve ur issue.

Organisation Plan in Workflow

I have a requirement where I have to transfer a workflow as it is from one system to another as part of migration. Organisation Plan is also to be transferred. I need to know if this Org Plan is only used in workflow or it is shared with HR module. Is this a part of HR master data?

Org Plan is key point for workflow, with out Org plan how can u know, for example in leave request workflow , a employee apply for a leave,in Org so many Managers, how do workflow know who is the manager of particular employee.

How to do reassingment of the task from the workflow.

Hi,
I have two work flow one is approval workflow & another is reassignment workflow in which manager approval is need for reassignment, once manager will approve, task should be reassing to requested user in approval workflow. How can i reassign the task from process 2 to process1. Please suggest.

I haven't tried it for this, but try using a correlation.
Create the correlation in the process you want to notify -> add an event subprocess in that process who's start event is an interrupting Message event that takes a string as input that is the user id you want to reassign it to -> add an Update Task in the event in the event subprocess -> change the Update Task's operation to "Reassign" and assign it to the user id that the notifying processes sends in -> have the notifying process send the notification into this process with the user id you want to reassign the instance to.

In order to read from Cluster DB Table use the following statement:
Syntax
IMPORT <f1> [ TO < g1 > ] <f2> [TO < g2 >] ...
FROM DATABASE <dbtab>(<ar>)
[CLIENT <cli>] ID <key>|MAJOR-ID <maid> [MINOR-ID <miid>].
This statement reads the data objects specified in the list from a cluster in the database <dbtab>.
You must declare <dbtab> using a TABLES statement. If you do not use the TO <gi> option, the
data object <fi> in the database is assigned to the data object in the program with the same
name. If you do use the option, the data object <fi> is read from the database into the field <gi>.
For <ar>, enter the two-character area ID for the cluster in the database. The name <key>
identifies the data in the database. Its maximum length depends on the length of the name field
in <dbtab>.
The CLIENT <cli> option allows you to disable the automatic client handling of a client-specific cluster database, and specify the client yourself. The addition must always come directly after the name of the database.
