Hi SAP-HR Experts .
I am badly stuck in a issue regaring Event & Training Mgmt .
Issue is : There is training calender for a whole year , different - different training programs
are schedules there . Employees Books himself/herself for a traing program through ESS , as He/She press the Send Button the Information goes to his Manager /HOD for approval , this information goes his/her Manager /HOD through a WorkFlow mail .
How to do this Friends ... being very confused ...
Let me know Experts ... being Buckle under pressure .

Hi,
I have got a query in AD-HOC query.
After creating the Adhoc query using the join table functionality the resulting adhoc query does not results any out put.
What I have done is :
1.Created a user group through SQ03
2.Attched user to My user group
3.Created an infoset using join table functionality(SQ02).
4.Saved and generated the infoset
5.Added the user group to the infoset and than run the ADHOC query.
The table I have used to join is all PA table (For test pupose)
Though the purpose of the custom infoset is to join PA,OM and E rec infotypes, for testing purpose I have joined only PA infotypes.
Result:The adhoc query does not gives any out put instead it says no data could be read.
Could you please tell what else I need to do so that the custom infosets gives an out put.
Will greatly appreciate your help.

Legacy data upload for Training & Event Management

As per the requirement, the legacy /history data for training events is to be uploaded in the system. To start the process the data templates were prepared for uploading training objects like D (Business Event Group), L (Business Event Type) and E (Business Event) and these were uploaded. Also the relationships A003 between D & L and A020 between E & D were also maintained. As a part of training history the attendees were also maintained (uploaded) using the relationship A025 between E & P objects. However when we go to PSV2, then the tree structure does not reflect the name of the person who attended the event.
Please suggest and advice.

I have a query regarding the Legacy data. I wanted to ask you that how did you structure the Historical BEG and BET.
Did you create different BEG for the Current and the Legacy data.
But in that case there could be BET's common in both the current and legacy data with different object ids
For e.g. Under Current BEG and Historical BEG I may have a BET Technical Programmes with diffrent Ids say 60000000 and 60987655. This may create a problem when running reports.
Pls tell me strategy that you have used for creating the catalog.

F4 Help for Training Event -Tree structure like in PSV2

Hi,
There is any function module to give the F4 help in custome development for Training Event like Tree structure in PSV2.

Check AL S's response here for how to do this. CVI 6.0 does not have a native Tree control. This was introduced with CVI 7.0.

Attendance Booking for Training Event (HR) : How to Intervene with Workflow

<u><b>Scenario:</b></u>
I use transaction PV00 to book for an event for a person. First time booking gives status - Attendance booked, Second time when i book for the same event for the same person - it gives me a message attendance was updated.
The booking event is logged as a session to be run through SM35.
Now through workflow i need to stop the booking based on condition, say....the position has to be manager as an eligibility to book for the particular event.
I went through transactions SWEHR1, SWEHR2, SWEHR3..What does they actually signify..in relation to my scenario.
Please anyone suggest me how can i stop booking online directly - by intervening with a workflow.

There is a BAdI you can use to accomplish this. With the Learning Solution, it's LSO_CHECK_BOOKING. I know there's a comparable one for plain TEM but can't remember what it is, offhand. Can't help you with the workflow.

Training & Event Mgmt to ESS integration.

HI ESS Gurus,
The training and event mgmt configuration is completed in R/3. The client requirement is that the training calendar should be displayed in ESS, so that every employee can apply the training. What are the additional functionalities required for my scenario?
What are the authorizations required for employee / users to apply the trainings and also for the training approvers.

please note TEM is superceded by LSO ie learning solution which has the same functionality but in front end
and can be integrated easily with portal as it is BSP based

Integration bet Training & Event Mgmt & Time Mgmt - IT2002

Hi,
Please refer to the below scenario:
100 employees(attendees) attend a training event(Business Event).Because we have an integration of TEM with TM, so IT 2002 for all the employees gets updated.
However there are few(around 20)employees whose IT2002 is not getting updated.As a result of this, we have a Z-report which does not fetch the data for these 20 odd employees.
Could anyone please let me know why this is happening?

Payroll Area would have been locked for those employees during course bookings. Hence, IT2002 does not has course attendance hours.
Check SM35 and execute the job (This job gets created after course bookings) to update IT2002 for those employees.
Ensure Payroll Area is unlocked when you execute this job.

Workflow for PO-Event Linkage get unchecked after making Purchase Order

Hi,
I have a client reqiirement for setting Workflow for Purchase Order.
I have done all the settings for PO Workflow. I am getting the mail for the first time but from the second PO onwards I am not getting the mail.
When I checked the settings, the Event linkage in SWETYPV gets unchecked for BUS2012 Object Type automatically after making the first PO.
Again when I activate that, I am able to get mail for the first PO only. From the second onwards, no mail is triggered.
Could anyone suggest?

Hi,
I now have changed the "Behavior Upon Error Feedback" to "Mark Linkage as having Errors" in SWETYPV
After this change if I make a PO, the link doesn't get break but "Receiver Status" shows "Errors".
I could also see the overview of errors in Transaction code SWEQADM. It shows 3event with Errors and 1 linkage with errors.
I do not know in which event error is there and in which linkage error is there?
Can anyone help to see the events and linkage where error persists?

without user IDs(as u r step 2).if u design "organization plan" then userID's r assigned (like manager,supervisor, clerk etc.,)

Training & Event Mgmt. in ESS

Till date whichever document I have read regarding ESS, it says that "Training & Event Management" is part of it. Today when I am implementing ESS for my client, I see that ESS is having all the functionalities e.g. Leave request, Who's who, Life and work, Benefit & payment, Travel etc., but not TEM anywhere.
My client needs Training related functionalities in ESS.
Can anyone help regarding how do I add TEM in ESS?

In the new version of ESS the Training and Event management is part of Learning Solution. Its now a different component.
having said that the old functionality is still available.
It the scope of the project is not to implement LSO ( Learning Portal)
Pls ask your portal consultant to create IAC iveiw.
for you pls go to tcode, SICF > f8 > default_host > sap > bc > gui and find PV0I and many more will be there.
You need to activate and provide the list of services to Portal admin to add that into ESS main Role.

you can maintain this in that path: Human Resources -> Training & Event Management -> Settings -> Current settings -> Resource Management -> S_AHR_61011893 - External Instructor.
you can maintain:
1) Object (first name, last name).
2) Relationships (belong to a company).
3) Address.
4) Name format.

Workflow for training and event management

Hi,
I have to develope a workflow regarding event type prebooking whic will be pre-booked thru pv02 , now my requirement is to send a workitem text to manager ess account who will appprove or reject this event type.
After approval it shud make updation in database but not in the case of rejection .After that Manager preebook a event for those who are alredy approved for the same event type and after event booking it shud also update the attendance table or infotype .

Workflow for calendar event approval

I've got the following scenario:
A calender is set for data approval
The reviewer has an alert set for postings
A user posts an event
the reviewer gets an alert pointing them to the calender event. if they click on it
the reviewer opens the event and has an approve/reject button
does a notification go to the user telling them if it's been approve?
Is it possible to set up a workflow to have things work this way?
user posts an event
an email with an approve/reject button goes directly to the reviewer (not a link to the calendar)
the decision (approved/rejected) is sent back to the poster automatically upon hitting approve or reject
Approved events appear on the calendar for everybody to see
In the 2nd scenario, do you still need to have data approval set on the calendar - since you've using the workflow?
Also, how would you set up an email that allows the reviewer to approve/reject to both approve/reject and submit to continue processing?

Hi Geek,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to use a workflow to achieve your goal.
I recommend to use Start Approval Process action to meet your need.
Here are the detailed steps:
Set the “Require content approval for submitted items” to Yes in the calendar list and select “Only users who can approve items (and the author of the item)” under “Who should see draft items in this list”.
Create a workflow associated with the calendar list and set the workflow to start when an item is created.
Select Start Approval Process from Action, then click these users to set the approver(reviewer). Add a Set Workflow Variable action before the Start Approval Process step and change the settings to be: Set Variable: EnableContentApproval to Yes.
Click Approval in the step Start Approval Process, click Change the behavior of a single task under Customization.
Scroll down to the step When a Task Completes, add Send an Email action below the step If Current Task:Outcome equals Approved and step Else if Current Task:Outcome equals Rejected.
Please refer to the picture below:
After that, the approver(reviewer) will get the email and he/she can click Open Task button in the email to review and complete the task. When the approver approve/reject the task, the user will get an email and the rejected events cannot be viewed by the
users who have no permission to see the draft items.

i need to know if we can maintain the training catalog based on company codes... as of now i can see the training catalog for the plan version... is it possible to have 2 catalogs for 2 different company codes which are in the same plan versions????

Dear Achana,
As per my knowledge that you can do what you need by restricting this in the Authorization Level in SAP Security Roles.
Also you can develop a Function Module that for example when this user access some Training and Event Management data, then this FM will read the InfoType 0001 the Company Code, then accordingly will display.
Also you can create 2 general high level Business Event Grouping of the Training Catalogue, then you can play with its access from the function module.
This is my suggestions, I hope it will help

Hi Archana! for specific objects transport use RHMOVE30 report; by selecting:
- object type and object ID
- uncheck 'Test'
- check 'Transport'
- select your task for transport in 'Task'.
Next screen, press Transport/Delete button to confirm adding this object to the selected task.
Additionaly, to transport an entire structure, you can use root objects + evaluation path. So, to transport a location structure, use:
- object type: F
- object id: (id of root location)
- evaluation path: F-F

BUS2032 workflow for chaged event not working

hi experts,
I have developed a workflow with the object BUS2032 to get triggred if the sales order is changed
The workflow has been activated and the linkage has been tested in SWETYPV .
I hav also checked the start events .
They are active and in green status.
But still my workflow is not getting triggered on save/change of VA32
I am not able to seee naytrace of it in SWEL log
Kindly suggest me how to proceed.
