Workflow Forwarding to external mail help.

Hi All,
We use to use SO12 in our previous projects to forward workflow items to SAP outlook inbox. It was integrated with outlook, as users were able to approve or reject the same through the outlook inbox. So that means that they had some integration tool like Duet and stuff.....?
Because by using simple forwarding using report RSWUWFML2 and SWADMIN ..... few more t-codes i guess its just the notification that is getting forwarded to the outlook mail and not that its integrated? So its like one way communication? Please correct my understanding!

My requirement is that there is a Requistion workflow which send a notification in SBWP
to the first approver and tthen to second approver when first one approves the requistion.At
each step a workflow sends a mail to each approveralso.
Sometimes the requisition is forwarded from one user to another from SBWP, and no mail
is send if it is done from SBWP.
Since i am new to workflow , please provide some way by which we can send an external
mail whenever an item is forwarded from SBWP.

To accomplish the same, go to SO16 transaction code.Under the tab Mail sy.grp, choose the radio button "Send to home addresses of users".
That's all.You are done."
The question is about sending mails, not work items.
Setting SO16 by itself does nothing.
Setting SO16 is just one part of getting mails sent to a SAP user to be sent on to an external address.

External mail for workflow of release strategy for PO

Dear All,
I have configured the workflow of two step release strategy for purchase order and the internal mail is getting generated in the sap business workplace with the error message SWF_RUN 594 this i have taken care with SWE2 with changing the settings of "Behaviour upon error feedback" from "default" to "do not change linkage"
Now the requiremnt is that the message has to be send to first level releaser through external mail and once first level release the PO external mail should be send to second level releaser.
Please help me with the configuration step that is to be done

Schedule the report Rswuwfml2. this will send workitem from sap inbox to respective user external mail id maintain in user master.

Auto forward SAPmail items to external mail

Hi all,
There is currently a program RSWUWFML/ RSWUWFML2 that enables workflow items in the mail box of a user to be forwarded to his external email address.
I would like to check if there is a corresponding program/ function module that performs the same function for other mails in the SAP inbox.
Any suggestions/ recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Fairly simple. You need to implement the interface IFRECEIVE in a business object. Add your code to the Receive method (it has all the necessary parameters defined). In SO28 you can set up inbound distribution for received emails, under New Recipient you can specify that business object - just select "SAP Object Instance".
You can also use inbound processing exits - tx SO50 - which is much the same thing but based on ABAP classes and is a little more work and less workflow-specific. Works as above but use interface IF_INBOUND_EXIT_BCS.

Check the workflow builder. There is a step type of "Send mail". Just put that into your workflow definition, and your workflow will send mail.

FBV0 Screen Attachment through workflow to external mail address

i have a requirement to create approver for parked documents i found workflow ws10000055 to set the release status,
now this screen is comming in SAP Business inbox at started workflow tab.
but this FBV0 screen should go as attachment in mail for external mail id.

Hi,
To send it as attachment, bind the standard Business Object FIPP to the custom container of your activity in workflow. This will automatically give you the attachment as Display is the default method set for this BO.

Workflow mail to external mail

We are able to receive mails in the SAP IN BOX & external mail when workflow event is triggered. ie. when we create material master or customer master we are able to receive mails in SAP INBOX and our Outlook. But when we are using Receipient email address in send mail step of workflow, we are not receiving the external mail.Please help

Make sure you have used 'U' as a recepient type.
Check SOST entry for any errors, also check the SCOT configurations with your basis team.

Problem in Sending External Mail

Hi all,
I am facing a problem in sending message to the external mail server. My problem is i have created a workflow template and in that i have created a send mail step and in that i am giving a message and the recipient type is email address and the email address is [email protected]
But i am not receiving any mail to my outlook. The configuration in scot are perfect.
When i tried to send a message from my inbox new message i can able to see the mail in my outlook.
Please help me in this issue, it is very urgent.

External Mail from SAP worflow

We are using the standard SAP PO(BUS2012) workflow, which is activated when the PO release is to be effected.
I am getting my mails in SAP inbox as desired. Now I want to send this same mail to an external email . I donot want any background job to do it .. rather i want that whenever the SAP mail is generated also at the same time the external mail is also generated. Could any body help me to configure the same?

External mail to SAP

HI,
I have a requuirement where users can send a mail to SAP server and upon receiving the mail, a program or workflow has to execute.
We can send mails from Sap to external mail...... how do we do this other way around.... external mail to SAP and how can we trigger the execution of a program upon receiving this mail.

Hi Experts,
I have done PO and PR release Strategy workflows and it works fine.Now i have an enhancement that i should send a notification to the Releasing Persons External Mail which i will do.
I should send a hyperlink to external id so that on clicking the link he should get to sap release screen how do i do this ? Can anyone help me on this

If you have the Outlook mail , then as others were suggesting, go for Extended Notification config. This has been discussed in various blogs here in the forum. Pl search with "Extended Notification config", Especially, the below one to get a good idea to start with.

In that case also, the user will receive a mail with some attachment links like "Execute WItem" or "Display witem" etc., once he clicks on those links, it'll ask for single Sign-on, that authenticates the user in SAP system and depending on the task that the user is accessing from Outlook, it will open up that transactional screen to the user. for example, FB02, VA02 etc.,

Setting multiple receipents (external mail adress) of mail step

I have a workflow which is Purchase order Recejted.
I copied it and trying to send mail to multiple external mail adresses.
I created an element in workflow container. SOXNA-FULLNAME (Multiline).
I created the mail step. But I want to write a method to get the receipent mail adresses and pass it to this element and again pass element to mail step.
But I'm not sure where to write the method, I mean is it should be a step including a task etc.

I did all the steps you told. Here is the screen shot of workflow;
(The last step is PR Rejected - It is Turkish there)
My question is: What should be the Agents of Get Mail Adresses step ? Because it asks one. I write down the WFINITIATOR as Agent of Get Mail Adresses step but the next step is not triggered until I Execute it in SAP INBOX.
Graphical view of progress is like this;
After I execute it ;
And after this nothing happens, no mail sent to anyone.
I dont want any agent in any step I just want to send mail to the mail adresses I give. Can you help me to fix this ?
