Workflow gets hanged

Hi All,
I have a problem in workflow where it gets hanged at some cases . It gets hanged in a user decision step. When i checked the log, comparing with the correctly executed workflow, i found in the step history tab the executed action - Result processing is missing. There a no errors in the log, All the steps have been executed and its in green . This particular step is not executed only in some rare cases . I could not find out the rare cases becoz the same step gets executed perfectly for many cases without hanging. Could anyone explain me about the importance of "Result processing" in Executed action ? And let me solve this issue...
Thanks & Regards,
Kevin.

Hi,
Thanks for your replies.
The problem was there was a dump in ST22 with user WF-BATCH . It is Time out dump in a background program  "SAPLRHAS ".
This has to resolved by extending the maximum execution time limit of the job . This is to be done by basis people.
Regards,
Kevin.

  • Planning getting hanged when i change a member hierarchy

    Hi,
    When i try to change the hierarchy of a member by cutting and pasting it or through outlineload.cmd, planning is getting hanged. I get java heap space error. We have set the intial and max heap size in the registry as
    1. Initial heap size = -Xms1024m
    2. Max heap size = -Xmx1024m
    Even the planning service is not responding. And planning web is not even opening now.
    There is another entry in the registry named JVMOption10 = -Xss256k.
    What has to be done?
    Regards,
    Ragav.

    Hi John,
    There was workflow enabled for a particular scenario. I've cleared it. Now i am able to delete. Thanks a lot.
    But otherwise when workflow is enabled and if i have to change the hierarchy, how is this scenario managed? Is this the only way?

  • Berkeley  DB JE is getting hanged while calling environment sync method.

    Hi,
    I am developing an application in Java and I am using JE edition of Berkeley. I am facing an issue, during shutdown operation I am calling syn method of EntityStore class and Environment class.
    The EntityStore.sync() is getting completed but during executing of Environment.sync() the control is not coming out of this statement. Below is the code that I am using to perform sync operation.
    if (myEnv != null) {
    try {
    entityStore.sync(); //Calling sync method of Entity Store Class.
    log.error("Finished Syncing of Entity Store");
    myEnv.sync(); // Calling Sync method of Environment Class. Control is not coming out of this sync call.
    log.error("Finished Syncing of Environment");
    } catch (DatabaseException dbe) {
    log.error("DataBase exception duing close operation ",dbe);
    } catch (IllegalStateException ie) {
    logger.fatal("Cursor not closed: ", ie);
    During my unit testing I was changing system date and perfoming some db operation. While I during down the application the the above code gets executed but the system is getting hanged and control is not coming out of Environment sync method call. Can some one tell why the sync is causing the system to hang.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    You did not mention the version of BDB JE. In any case for BDB JE questions the correct forum is at:
    Berkeley DB Java Edition
    Thanks,
    Sandra

    Hi Dharmender ,
    Did you try to repair your Acrobat once ?If not please try the same and check if that helps you out .
    Launch Acrobat >Navigate to Help >Repair Acrobat Installation .
    Do you get any error message or any prompts when it hangs and become unresponsive ?
    Does this happen with any specific PDF or all the PDF'?
    Also you could try to uninstall Acrobat once and they re install it if the above step does not work .
    Please restart your machine once as well.

  • Owb Process Flow getting hanged/stuck .

    Hi,
    Problem description  :-  We have designed a Process Flow in OWB our project. The Process Flow is scheduled to run at 12.00 AM daily Dutch timings.
    We have been facing a problem for around 3 months wherein the process gets hanged/stuck in between without giving any specific error message.
    There isn't any kind of locking happening in the background as well. The OWB log gives the message "Forcibly deactivating execution with audit ID 1660235 ",
    During the time at which the process hangs  The process gets hanged in different timings in different sub processes(not in a particular process, so no specific pattern has been observed.)
    To complete the process flow, we need to kill the process and rerun it again. When reran, it runs perfectly without any error.
    The above error message appears in the log only when a process hangs. There is no such kind of logging during a successful execution.
    Can you please let us know when and why does this message appear in the OWB log file.
    Is there any specific kind of settings or configuration parameters that needs to be set to resolve this.
    Regards,
    Rosy Mukherjee

    You might want to check to see if you have anything "parallel" running
    We recently had an issue with one of our mappings where one day it decided to just stop working and "freeze"
    Our DBA found that we had a Oracle hint for "Parallel" in the code and removed it. After that the mapping ran fine.
    Best of luck

    The reason they run quicker the subsequent times, is because the data has already been cached in the system.
    You could try the usual tricks to speed the report up:
    - move items into POV
    - have children and parent in the same row
    - arrange dimensions in inverse outline order
    - remove excessive formatting
    - push report calculations back to the data source
    We have found that using lots of dynamically calculated members also slows down reports, so try and limit the number of these.
    Hope this helps. If not maybe give us an idea of how the report is created to see if other changes could be made.

  • My ipad one sometimes stop responding ,like the apps get hanged and return back to homescreen. how to get rid of this bummer

    my ipad sometimes gets hanged while in apps . but when it gets hanged , its comes to homescreen and stops responding
    how to get rid of this problem

    Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
    Then reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

  • Weblogic portal is getting hanged after a regular interval

    Hi,
    We are using WLP 8.1 SP 5 on a HP Unix environment. Our Weblogic instance is getting hanged and we need to restart the same. This problem is happing once in a 3 weeks time. From console we cheked that avilable memory for JVM heap is quite low when this happens. Below are the some of the log messages we have found in the weblogic log:

    Hi,
    Please find below my findings about the memory leak.
    Many (around 40 where max connection is 50) connection were created without they getting closed in a very short span of time. This caused the connection pool to be filled as rest of the connections in the connection pool were doing something else. Below is the log message:
    ####<Jul 4, 2010 12:24:01 AM GMT> <Info> <Common> <domainname.xxxxxxxx.com> <EXL> <ExecuteThread: '4' for queue: 'default'> <<anonymous>> <BEA1-39390F6683087D485CB1> <BEA-000627> <Reached maximum capacity of pool "portalPool", making "0" new resource instances instead of "1".>

    ####<Jul 4, 2010 12:26:06 AM GMT> <Info> <Common> <domainname.xxxxxxxx.com> <EXL> <ExecuteThread: '45' for queue: 'default'> <<anonymous>> <BEA1-397A0F6683087D485CB1> <BEA-000627> <Reached maximum capacity of pool "portalPool", making "0" new resource instances instead of "1".>
    This caused all the threads handling request to the application hanged.

    69 of 70 threads hanged and logged this error message
    Also, other Weblogic modules (EJBs etc.) were not able to release connections due to this connection leak problem.
    <Jul 4, 2010 12:31:13 AM GMT> <Info> <EJB> <domainname.xxxxxxxx.com> <EXL> <ExecuteThread: '15' for queue: 'default'> <<anonymous>> <BEA1-38C90F6683087D485CB1> <BEA-010051> <EJB Exception occurred during invocation from home: [email protected]106df27 threw exception: javax.ejb.TransactionRolledbackLocalException: EJB Exception: ; nested exception is: javax.ejb.TransactionRolledbackLocalException: EJB Exception: ; nested exception is: weblogic.transaction.internal.TimedOutException: Transaction timed out after 502 seconds
    BEA1-38C90F6683087D485CB1
    These hanged threads and EJBs caused the memory leak in JVM heap.
    ####<Jul 4, 2010 2:00:35 AM GMT> <Error> <T3Misc> <domainname.xxxxxxxx.com> <EXL> <weblogic.time.TimeEventGenerator> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <BEA-000712> <Exception invoking Scheduled Trigger

    When checked the JDBC log the below exception was found:

         at oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CConnection.logon(T4CConnection.java:387)
    So, what might cause this JDBC error. Is the problem at Weblogic end or the database end? It seems that the connections are hanging due to this JDBC error which is causing the connection pool to be filled up. Subsequently threads are hanging which leads to memory leak.
    Please help as this issue is reoccuring again and again!!!

  • Workitem button is not comming in swel though the workflow gets triggered

    Dear All,
    I have copied the std wf WS20000075 and doing customization for po release as per my clients requirement. Once PO is being created in ME21N i am able to see the event trace in SWEL , but its showing an error , " Import container contains errors (are any obligatory elements missing? " .and no workitem button is comming in SWEL so that i am not able to see the workflow log .
    so that though the workflow gets triggered , i am not able to trace it .
    I have gone through the solutions given in sdn , but i didn't get any solution for my issue.
    Hope to get a positive solution for this soon.
    Thanks
    prabhudutta

    This is error in ECC 6.0 for BUS2012.
    For the time being I am using solution which I have given in this thread but rigid solution is to raise an OSS note.
    I myself will raise an OSS but before would like to debug and find out what it is expecting exactly so i said use SWUE to find what went wrong.
    Cheers
    Jai
    I am having the same error, it goes into error for ECC6.0 version. I have not got chance to see why it is happening?
    any way for the time being you can do this : go to SWE2 and for given business object and receiver type, change the settings of "Behaviour upon error feedback" from "default" to "do not change linkage" so every time atleast event will trigger and so workflow, yeah ofcourse event will be queued in SWEAD. So final solution is an OSS
    NOTE:
    Check this thread, Glauco has given OSS note 797775
